Oh, speaking of food, I was supposed to give you the sukiyaki recipe! *headdesk* ...I don't know what happened to me that night. It's just been crazy with all these work hours and being randomly called in. >_< Ah well, I'll go do it now, and post it up right after.

Sukiyaki

2 packages of thinly sliced beef (Sukiyaki is the one you’re supposed to use, but we used Shabu Shabu—it’s thinner)
Enoki Mushrooms
Shittake Mushrooms
Kamaboko
Konyaku Noodles
Green Onions
Water Cress
Round Onion
Firm Tofu
Sugar

Sauce
2 cans chicken broth
1 cup shoyu
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup mirin

Fresh eggs (for dipping)

First get your beef and fry some sugar into it. Brown the pieces and sprinkle the sugar on. Do not cook completely. Remove to a separate plate.

Prepare your ingredients by chopping onions, kamaboko, and tofu to desired sizes. Place them in your pan with the konyaku either in the middle or the bottom.

Prepare your sauce by simply mixing all the ingredients together. Pour that over your pan of arranged sukiyaki. Simmer for about an hour or till konyaku noodles are clear and vegetables tender.

Tip: You can leave out the green onions till the end. Put them in for the last ten minutes so they don’t overcook.

Tip: Your ingredients can vary. You can also add carrots, bean sprouts, or leave out some ingredients if you want.

Beat your eggs and either dip or pour.

Enjoy!

I just played with him like he does to me. Nothing insane. No wallet for me, and Mark and I just laughed at your response, it is hilarious. Also we did do over 10 mile walk today !!! we ended up walking to red line, then taking train to belmont, eating there, then walking to the lake front, then walking down to Northerly Island (behind soldier field) then walked to roosevelt then onto train and back to apartment.

I have another place to take you when you come to Hawaii. It's called Satura and it's this little bakery place on Ward. It's really yummy. They have these little cupcakes of their amazing gourmet cakes. They're so good. My favorite is the blueberry one. They're signature is a strawberry one. xD

Me and my mother have been going there too much. I think the workers are starting to know us. xD ...although my mother says one of the guys likes me, but I think she's just being a mother a misinterpreting him giving good customer service. A shame though, he has pretty hair. xD <- is such a sucker for pretty hair.

And I have my first day off for this week tomorrow! Yay! I really don't like working six days a week. And I HATE working evening shift and then morning shift. It SUCKS. >_<

Oh yeah, and I forgot to ask in my last post how was meeting Mark's family?

Yeah, it was getting rewritten, but we had a 7 hour discussion of rewriting it.. I would hate working six days a week too, but ahhck, why am I back in colorado?!!! And I was talking ot Mark and apprently no matter what my funds will be insufficient for me to even live when I come to Chicago, glad to know that the idea of cheap college student is about 800-1000 a semester in stuff. (I think) Anyway, glad to know cause I feel less bad when I realize my mom is trying to kill me financially but isn't saying so. I don't know, it just bugs me alot with that.

Also according to Mark my family life sucks, which I tend to agree with him on, I guess it is one of those things I don't pay that much attention to anymore cause I gave up on it all so many years ago. Though the 350 was worth it to go to Chicago, it did alot for me, and I really needed our relationship to stop being the implied with what had changed about the contract and actually be said. cause one of it was we'll see how long this goes for cause it is doomed anyway and so we'll just have fun along the way, which is no longer the mentality either of us had but we still had it in the contract as that is what it is. (does this make any sense?)

Also family was good, not all that scary, kind of fun, hardest thing was not being within 6 inches of Mark after being able to at any time for the rest of the week before.

Ok, I need you to do something ASAP. Find a book called "A hundred years of island cooking" A collection of recipes from Hawaiian Electric Company. We need this book?!!! Anyway, tell me if you can find it, cuase I would love to have it, has recipes of use, liek malasadas, and Char su bao (BBQ pork buns), mango bread, portugese sweet bread, lau lau...etc. Anyway, me thinks we should get it, cause yummy food and cravings, plus we could probably get the guys to help pay for supplies if we gave them the food (especially hawaii cooking).

Eh, I'll try look for it. I may not get the exact one, but I do think that we have a book with recipes like that.

Also we might get the cookbook (the island one) through mark, it is really odd, but we were discussion making manapua and yeah, yummy and yum and food. Anyway, it is silly cause then it seems that we might actualyl do something with the book.

Also my back hurts alot, I need massages again, it hurts cause of what I am carrying but how do I carry less work stuff then the fact I already have lots. Also it is suppose to reach 86 today, bah it is getting really really hot. I don't like it at all.
