Im not going on the airport even if itll save me

Well, I went through the 14 hours of agony to get to Russia from America, and god...I was just staring at the countdown for the 10 hours for 2 hours or so at some point. I got such horrible back pains, couldnt fall asleep either.

Then we had to wait 2 extra hours, another few hours because we were too early and these airport people had this meeting, and then when we finally got on it was even more uncomfortable than before. Well, at least I fell asleep for 15 minutes xD Oh, we had huge delay too...Oh well.

Theres lotsa snow here~ I just wish I could make a snowman, all the snow falls apart once you pick it up, and only the dirty snow stays in tack.

SO SO. Enough of my whining.
How was your past airport experiences? P :
And, how was anything to do with the airpost been with you?
And...aint snow awsome or is it still summer around your place? :3

Hey at least theres an upside of your painful travel so turn that frown upside down. you wont feel the pain of the airplane until you travel again :D and I'm betting that you wish you wont travel until you will like airplanes.

Edit.

CK 12-02-2007 08:47 AM

For the airplane trip to/from Japan I was in mild misery through most of it. I have joint problems and the flight was not nice to my joints. My knees and ankles ached rather a lot. My elbows and wrists slightly less. I had to eventually ask the flight attendants if they had any pain medication I could take...

I was also flying alone, so I never felt like I could fully relax and sleep. :x But the trip was fairly uneventful flight-wise, otherwise. And worth the time, money and pain. XD;

It's still summer here! But snow is pretty fun every once in a while. I'll be seeing it on New Year's! :]

yeesss pity meee >3

Holy, somehow that sounds worse than my 14 hours xD I mean, 2 hours to 8 hours? Jeeze louzy.

So its like summer snow? Shouldnt it be rain then? @[email protected] Yay, happy early new years :3

How long did it take? o.o Yes, jointing, and aching problems suck so much that youd rather have a plane crash than anything.

Really? xD I wanna know!! What made it so worth while?

Kimu! You posted three posts in a row. That's called double-posting (or, more properly, triple-posting) and is against the rules! Please edit your last post if you had more to add to it, rather than replying directly after yourself in the future. :) I edited your three posts into one for you.

I can't actually remember how long it took... somewhere between 13.5 hours and 16.5 hours. I took this trip in March/April. ^^;

I was in Japan for two weeks (with my best friend - who lives in Australia, whereas I live in the US - and one of her good local friends).... We were there to see the cherry trees bloom, we rode on trains a lot (we don't have trains here where I live, so it was all very fascinating to me), I tried different foods, I shopped in Tokyo, I went to a traditional Japanese hot spring and slept in rooms with tatami mats, rather than carpeting. :) We also went to Kyoto to visit temples and walked through old Kyoto dressed as maiko.

It was a very fun trip. :3

shellthabunny 12-02-2007 10:36 AM

We just got TONZ of snow here today too ^^ ours is too powdery to pick up and make a snowball out of too. Oh well, at least it looks pretty :D
And I have never been on an airplane, so I have no bad airport experiences.

Cherry 12-02-2007 12:03 PM

I've only ever flown interstate to my sisters house, it usually takes me longer to get the the airport than it does to fly all the way there, approx 55 mins, and it takes longer to get to my sisters house from the airport than it does to fly from Melbourne to Canberra...lol
Each time (I think it's been 3 now) has been fairly smooth. Though the third time I went I was by myself, and I was getting really nauseous because we'd hit bad turbulence, on the way there and back I think. A man who was in my row saw my uncomfortable expresion and started chatting to me lol.
But otherwise no troubles, I wasn't sitting long enough to get crapmy.

kimu 12-02-2007 12:20 PM

CK- Ok thanks xD Sorry its a rather bad habit of mine, Ill try my best not to do it again :3

Jeeze, longer than mine o.o I feel like such a whiner when I hear of people who rode on a plane for 20 hours or so.
Ooo, sounds like a very nice experience.
maiko? Like a kimono or something? o.o Well souundss fun >3

Lol xD

shellTHATZbunneh- waaahh D : Doesnt it suck though?
Yes, but its like a celebrity. Its pretty to look at but its dead inside D : Just kidding! I cant think of a better example right now, too hyper to.
Thats good :3 Try not to get on a long hour trip, for when you do.

cherry- Oh, must of been around 3 hours then. Yes, turblilance sucks, I only got it a little though. Did you also have hard of hearing?
Oh lol, always nice to chat to someone randomly sitting next to you on plane. I got to chat with a guy who had the logo youtube on his laptop, he said it was his wife who went to the youtube conventions and stuff though.

Well, over the summer I went from America to Italy. First we flew about 3 hours up the east coast to another airport, so that wasn't so bad. But the flight to Italy was so long. Probably a little under 14 hours. You're flying over the ocean so there's nothing to look at. I was actually able to get a couple hours of sleep though.

When we got to Italy, it was about 8AM there...which means it was about midnight our time. And we had a tour to go to the second we got done unpacking at our hotels. That was a long, 36 hours, sleepless day.

The flight back wasn't as bad though. Over the past 2 weeks, I had become quite use to sitting in one spot for extended periods of time, thanks to our tour bus. Sometimes we would spend 8-10 hours on that thing. So, the flight didn't feel as long as it had before. The 3 hour flight ended up being the worse, though! We were able to get on the plane, but then it was delayed for 2 hours. So I was trapped on this plane with screaming teenagers and kid right behind me who kept kicking the back of my seat.

When we finally go back to our local airport, it was late, humid, and raining. Dear god, it was the most beautiful thing I had seen in those 2 weeks xD

Motion 12-02-2007 01:05 PM

Well, the times that I've traveled and that's from Puerto Rico to Chicago and to Orlando. It's been normal, a little bit of wait but it's all good. Although I hate the part when stupid Puertoricans get on the plane and start yelling and doing stupid things. It's an embarrassment for me to have to support that in front of foreign people. -_-;

kimu 12-02-2007 01:29 PM

Andre- Oh jeeze, screaming children is the worst o__o You must of wanted to sucuide.

Uzure- I know huh, well actually, I couldnt even see the ocean since there was so many clouds ><

Well, thats good that you got a lil used to it :3 Otherwise who knows how you would hang on lol [ Do I overexxagerate or what? Hmm..probably not >3 ]

Like like in the V for vendetta movie, the woman gets into the rain and screams, thats you isnt it? xD
And dont tell me you havnt seen the movie!

No. Not screaming children. Screaming adults. Puertoricans are crazy.

Aurora 12-02-2007 01:51 PM

:D I love going to big airports and flying on big airplanes. xD
We went to Wyoming and YellowStone once, and the airports we went to to get on each plane, were cool!
I love to travel. ^^

kimu 12-02-2007 02:34 PM

Andre- Oh, meh bad, falling asleep here ><

Aurora- O__O Tell me what makes it so fun to travel...tell me now before I faint from going into the different timezone therfor making me want to fall asleep at 5pm >3< !!!

Dystopia 12-02-2007 04:05 PM

I haven't really been to the airport in a long time. I don't like how long the lines are, or how crowded it is. Its kind of boring, too, waiting for everything. I do like the food there, though. And the gift shops are nice. But my experiences there are usually sad, since I haven't traveled in a plane for years. Its my family, visiting and going back to Korea. D=

But I do remember my first trip on an airplane, when I was coming from Korea. =3 There was a little game built into the front of my seat, and I kept playing until we got off!

Lolly 12-02-2007 07:11 PM

My worst airport experience has to be traveling to San Diego, California.
I went right into the Atlanta Airport.
Everyone seemed to be in a hurry,were rude, and someone spilled coffee on me.
After the long delay I got on the plane.
The food was gross, So I got stuck with a banana.
Someone behind me kept kicking my seat.
The woman attending to me wasn't the least bit nice.
We got another delay when we set down into Texas.
It was less crowded there, but not quiet.
I finally got something into my stomach there though.
And actually got to use a restroom. [Plane's restroom was disgusting]
When I boarded the plane, the seats were cozier so I fell asleep.

Wasn't THAT bad, but not great.
x_______x;;

Kalium 12-02-2007 11:08 PM

Hmm... I have had a bad flight experience but it was nowhere as bad as that. Dad and I were supposed to fly from Düsseldorf to Istanbul, when a mix-up in the schedule caused the flight to be delayed by 3 hours. And the Düsseldorf airport would be closed by then, so we had to board the flight from Köln airport instead. It took a one-hour bus ride to get to Köln from Düsseldorf. It wasn't over when we boarded the plane, though. As soon as the flight began, one of the hostesses passed out and the crew called for a doctor amongst the passengers to take care of her. Poor woman had been flying all day and she was exhausted by the time our flight began. This incident delayed the service, and the hostesses had to serve the food and the duty free products one after the other. While we were eating, the plane flew into a vaccuum and that caused the plane to shake, spilling food and drinks everywhere. When we finally reached Atatürk Airport, it was 3 AM Istanbul time and 2 AM Düsseldorf time. I had never been so exhausted after a flight.

secretdae007 12-02-2007 11:20 PM

My airport experience was... interesting. I was going to Spain and the flight was suppose to be 7 hours... Though we ended up sitting and going nowhere on the plane for 2 extra hours... There was a back up on the run way -.-;
It really wasn't bad but I only got about 3 hours of sleep... And after the plane ride was a 6 hour bus ride I was suppose to stay awake in order to mellow out the jet lag... >.>
Coming back wasn't bad though because the flight was shorter and no six hour bus ride afterwards xD

Britti 12-03-2007 12:11 AM

I absolutely love, love, love airports and airplanes. I don't know why--I guess because I get to see so many fascinating people! My sister was a flight attendant before she got married, so I got to fly a lot, and usually nothing ever bad happened than the occasional delay. (And often, we'd get bumped up to first class, since my sister's flights were on an open seat basis.)

However, my flight to Japan was not the best. I was sitting next to the window on a 777 Boeing, with no one in the middle seat, and a very, very sick Japanese man who worked for IBM. Because he was so kind to me and he was obviously in a terrible amount of pain, perhaps from both sickness and the flight, I didn't get up for 12 hours. I barely slept, but now that I think back on it, it wasn't terrible, just long. And Alaska is very pretty to fly over!

The way back was a lot better though. Since I was out for summer and didn't worry about attending school and other functions (like I did in Japan), I could sleep wherever I want, so I took two sleeping pills and passed the f' out for about 8 of those 12 hours. (On the way there, I only slept when it was night time in Japan, so jet lag wouldn't be as bad.)

I think I'll always love airports and airplanes, no matter how bad security gets. I'd be a flight attendant like my sister was, if only I met the height requirements. ;o;

Elemental Cotton 12-03-2007 02:16 AM

I've always liked going on a trip on an airplane. I don't know why, but it's probably the feeling of flying, and also the feeling I get when the airplane is starting to take off, and the airplane itself tilts up. Looking out the window is also cool, as long as the sun is on the opposite side, haha.

But I've recently begun to enjoy it less.. I'm starting to worry more about airplane crashes. I even freak out a little when we have turbulences. x.x

kimu 12-03-2007 05:04 AM

elemental cottonz- Wah, if you worry about plane crashes too much it might actually happen, so you know, happy thoughts.

Britti- LUCKY!! First class looked like it had a lot of space ; 3;

Ouch, poor guy o.o

Why would they need height requirments? xD

clock 12-03-2007 06:08 AM

Russia, that's neat. :0 But that's a long plane trip. >__<

I haven't flown on a plane since 9/11, so I don't know
how bad it is now. I used to fly from MI to FL when I
was a kid, so I don't remember much. I was probably
super bored and just slept.

Snow is not awesome here because I have to drive in it.

kimu 12-03-2007 09:00 AM

Yesh :B Neat indeed. Meh, I still say there could be worse, maybe a 30 hour trip with no tv, back pains, turbalence, screaming kids and such.

Oh o.o Are you scared of going on a plane?

Aw xD Ill dust that snow off your road if you want~ I go by 50 bucks a minute.

Thunder 12-03-2007 04:33 PM

I've never been on a plane before, though I want to. I think I'd stay up the whole night before so that I could get some sleep on the plane if it was that long of a trip. o_o That's what I do on car trips. I've heard a lot of horror stories about airports though. The delays would get really annoying after a while.

We haven't gotten any snow yet, unfortunately. Probably won't get any until the beginning of next year though, and even then, only a little bit. It sucks.
