I heard that if you move the cartridge a little, you can escape the Kokiri forest and get past the snobby elf guy! o:
I can't do that, cause I have the Collector's Edition of Zelda for Gamecube...no N64 for me! :)

Sho-Shonojo 06-24-2010 12:30 AM

I have both versions! XD My gamecube version came with Windwaker, I think? I have Masterquest too, but I never beat that one.

Kaema 06-24-2010 01:25 AM

What's different about Master Quest? I've heard about it, but I didn't know if it was different from the Ocarina of Time on the Collector's Edition.

Sho-Shonojo 06-24-2010 04:43 AM

Master Quest has more puzzles and stuff in it. It's just supposed to be more difficult, and I guess it is because I got stuck in the Shadow Temple and was never able to beat it. :/ I think at the time no one had come out with an FAQ and then I kinda dropped it for other things. Maybe I should play it again.

Kaema 06-25-2010 12:08 AM

Eh...harder. I don't want to get a different version of a game I haven't finished yet just so it will be harder. xD

Sho-Shonojo 06-25-2010 12:26 AM

Ha ha. I can understand that!

Kaema 06-25-2010 12:41 AM

Our posts are getting smaller...and smaller...
Or shorter actually, I guess. o.o

So, do you have a favorite Zelda game?

Sho-Shonojo 06-25-2010 02:49 PM

I've noticed that too. >.>;;;

I think my favorites are probably Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask simply because they were my childhood games and I spent so much time playing them. Actually my sis and I broke out the N64 and started Majora's Mask over again. XD Nostalgia for the win!

What about you?

Kaema 06-26-2010 01:05 AM

I think my favorite would have to be Twilight Princess. :) I didn't grow up with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask...well, I sorta did, but Wind Waker was there too and I liked it more. (I was ten. xD) When I started playing video games, there was no such thing as a N64 anymore. I still like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask though; they're just not my favorites. :)
So yeah...Twilight Princess. Thanks for reading my novel. xD

Sho-Shonojo 06-26-2010 03:53 AM

That's funny I think I was ten when I played Ocarina of time. Different generations huh?

OK, I've got a question. Who is your favorite character? It can be from all the games, or your favorite from each game if it's difficult for you to choose like it is for me.

As for myself, I love Link from all the games, of course.. I think my favorite Link is Twilight Princess. I like the adult Links better, and I think the TP one had more of a personality than OoT.

Side character wise, let's see.

OoT: I like Saria, Ruto (love/hate), and Nabooru and Shiek.

MM: Kafei, Anju, Fierce Deity and The Indigo-Gos.

WW: Tetra, Makar, Medli and Komali.

TP: Midna, Zelda, Queen Rutela and Agitha.

That was more than I thought it was gonna be. XD

Kaema 06-26-2010 03:53 PM

I like Twilight Princess Link too. : D~
Hm...
OoT - I don't know. o.o I like a lot of the characters, but I don't know if any would be my favorite...so I'll just say Link and Sheik. (Is Sheik a girl or a guy? >_> My friend said Sheik was obviously a girl because it was Zelda in disguise, but I see some people saying that Zelda actually turned into a guy by magic or something. I'm confused... @[email protected])
MM - Anju (and Kafei) I remember I would make Link go into the Inn and pretend to flirt with Anju...yeah, I don't know. xD
WW- So many great characters. : D Well, besides Link (I loved WW Link. : D), I think my favorites are close to yours. xD I like Tetra, Medli, and Komali...and...oh! that guy who wears the hood and has the auctions. xD
TP - Midna and Princess Agitha. I think Agitha is my favorite characters of all the games. :)
Nabooru is a Gerudo in OoT, right? I'd forgotten about her. o: But now that I remember, she might be one of my favorites too. xD

...I'll have to warn someone next time they ask who my favorite character is... xD

Kifflemonster 06-26-2010 10:14 PM

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past will forever be my favorite in the saga, hands-down. I can recall being but a wee tyke, playing through it until I got to the bosses (which I would let my father beat, because I was too scared of them and would cheer from the sidelines, A.K.A. behind the sofa.) That game's been with me for basically my entire life, and only recently did I pick it up again for the Wii console and start playing a new game. I'm still going through hell and back with Turtle Rock. x_x;; Otherwise I can basically play the Light World blindfolded.

Sho-Shonojo 06-27-2010 03:02 AM

We have pretty similar favs huh? XD

As far as Shiek goes, the game doesn't really say, but if you read the manga (though it's non-canon) Impa actually turns Zelda into a man and she actually believes herself to be Shiek. Plus with the game art, I just think of Shiek as a dude.

And yes, Nabooru is the Gerudo. She's awesome.

@Kifflemonster: You know, I have A Link to the Past but I never beat it. It's really hard to me. @[email protected] So are the original two for that matter.

Kifflemonster 06-27-2010 05:56 AM

@Sho-Shonojo - Ugh. I can't beat the first two, either. It's taken quite a while for me to get through LttP as it is. :B I think that's the joy of old games, though. They were tough.

Sho-Shonojo 06-27-2010 03:13 PM

Well it's nice that they're challenging, but I find myself taking long breaks from them and giving up on them. D:

Kaema 06-27-2010 11:47 PM

I got A Link to the Past as Wiiware a little while ago. I like it. :) Only I don't play it very often because I get tired of you know, dungeon after dungeon...I like it when there's stuff in between too. xD So I haven't really gotten far enough to see quite how hard it is... o.o

Sho-Shonojo 06-28-2010 02:27 PM

Yeah, the older games didn't really have a lot of extra stuff you can do. The first are just you fighting your way through some monsters and hoping you don't die before you get to the dungeon. Once you get to the dungeon you kinda walk around in circles trying to figure out where to go while also trying not to get killed. If you're lucky enough to beat the dungeon, then you go to the next one. :/ The second one is at least a little easier because you "level up" but doing that takes forever if you want to fight the easy monsters.

Kaema 06-29-2010 03:14 AM

I have both of those in that collector's edition thing. :) But I don't play the first and the only thing I like about the second is the dungeon music. xD

Sho-Shonojo 06-29-2010 05:55 AM

The fact that there is no story line to the original bugs me. >.< It's just "It's dangerous out there, take this sword!" I may sound like a silly method actor but , "Where's my motivation? Why am I doing this?"

Plus, you know... it's hard. :/

I do find it hilarious in the second Zelda that you can get healed by random woman (of questionable origin) in town. Hm... wonder what's going on in there. XD

Kaema 06-30-2010 09:57 PM

Because eventually you find out there's a princess! o: Well, you might find out. Maybe. xD
It is hard! >_< Old games are generally harder... @[email protected] Like the remakes of Final Fantasy III and IV I have. o.o
Lol! Really? That's a little...disturbing. xD I like the guy named Error. Almost forgot about him. :)

Sho-Shonojo 07-01-2010 12:06 PM

Yes, eventaully you probably find out about the princess. Maybe...

Older games are so much harder. I have Final Fantasy 1 through 4 and I haven't gotten anywhere in any of them. Actually if we want to get technical about it, I haven't beaten any of them. (except for FF7 Crisis Core) I did get farther in the more recent ones though.

Yes. Link can go into to town and there are women who will offer to heal him. He goes into the house and comes out healed. D:

Error? Never heard of him.

Kaema 07-02-2010 01:45 AM

I'm only able to make it cause I got them from a yard sale where the guide book was included...
Lol, that's not right... xD
There's a guy in one of the first towns who says "I am Error." It's weird.

Sho-Shonojo 07-02-2010 02:57 PM

Huh, that's strange. I don't remember seeing him, but I always talk to all the people. :puzzled: Maybe I just forgot. (it's very likely)

Kaema 07-02-2010 06:07 PM

Yeah, I probably only remember cause I never played that far into the game... I think I got to like, the first dungeon and gave up.

Sho-Shonojo 07-02-2010 08:07 PM

Yeah, it doesn't take long for that game to get too hard.

Meanwhile I've been playing MM again. I'm at the water temple. DO NOT WANT. TT.TT I'm attempting to get everything without using the guidebook this time around. It's kinda fun, especially trying to remember where all the fairies are in the temples.
