@XxEmber_MIstxX: Yay your my first-ie since I've been back :3 Well I love the overall look and feel of the avi. The golds flow very nicely from head to toe, although the mid section could use a splash of gold. I see that your gloves do have gold on them to pull the gold to the mid section but the black on the torso needs to be broken up a tad. The Purples all work very well together and flow evenly throughout the avi, as does the black. I see little hints of Silver/white/gray (whichever color you chose to call it) on the head and on the ankles of the avi but none in the midsection or neck. So maybe something could be added to the midsection that has both gold and silver? I would offer suggestion of items but seeing how I just got back I'll have to look around and get familiar with the items again, sorry. Overall though I enjoy the avi much, I even like the eyes. It set the avi apart and draws the eye to the head first as it should and then allows the eyes to travel down the avi. Very nice! 8.5/10 You made it to my front page!! Congrats :3 |

Well for starters I like the colors but I noticed the colors only seem to be in patches. Like the head, it's light purple,blue with a smidgen of dark blue (in the flower) and the eyes. The torso is covered in dark blue, the hips all the way down to the toes are covered in light purple, blue, though I would have to say the shoes do match the dress nicely. What I would suggest would to try and even out the tone of the colors through out the entire avi. Right now the eye is drawn to the torso and not the head, which isn't very good. You want the eye drawn to the head then travel down to the toes. I think a nice dark blue piece on the head would be a good start, maybe even a different hair style, still in the same shade just different cut. A necklace and something to cover up the small patch of skin you see on the tummy. The expose skin throws you off as as well. I would suggest figuring out what 3 colors you want to work with. Right now you have Light purple, light blue, Dark blue and silver (I won't count the eye color :3) So once you figure out what 3 colors you want to use, I would go from there. If you want to make this work, I would say, Dark blue garter belt might help, or maybe dark blue fishnet to over lap on the light blue leggings. A necklace in light blue, maybe like mine or if you like simple I think they have a light blue chain with a single stone on it that would work. Light blue or purple gloves and maybe a hand held item with one or more of the colors in it. Maybe a back ground of sorts, like the blue birds, falling blossoms or something along that line. Overall I like the avi and what you were trying to achieve. 6.5/10 I like the avi, it needs some work but still its pleasant to look at it. I Hope that wasn't to much ^.^; |

Well, I'm not sure if I want to use a calliope choker or an iris choker. Also, I was looking at belts to help break up the solidity of the shorts. I was going to try and find a darker blue, but they don't have the right shade. Since there's some dark purple in her shoes, do you think it would be okay to play off that and use the dark purple? |

I have mixed feelings on this outfit. It matches but it seems to be over powered by the black...Though on the plus side your eye is drawn to the head then drawn downward, so good job :) The color combo is nice and it would seem like all the colors match. My biggest complaint would have to be how the cloak over powers the whole avi. Maybe a smaller cloak or a background that has black in it would help. To be honest I don't think you even need the cloak, though I agree it looks nice its just to black XD. Would you do me a favor and take it off so I can see it without? Current rating would sadly be 6.5/10.... I really need to see it without the cloak... sorry :/ |
Here it is without the cloak. It feels rather empty without the cloak is the problem... because of the theme the "worn cloak" adds a little more to that "wanderer" feeling. (Theme is a wandering poet, if that helps any)

I agree it does feel rather empty... Maybe trying a lighter shirt would work. Maybe white or a white gray would work well with the cloak....7/10 as is now but yeah try a white colored shirt with the cloak and let me know. I think I'm going to mess around in the shops and see what I can find XD

Alright... I was also told to do a crow to help with the "poet" theme because of edgar allen poe and all... opinion? (I don't own the item for the crow yet though :()

I don't like the idea of the crow but maybe....I would have to see it to make a better call lol. I do think a white shirt with the cloak would help though :)

yes, I agree.... That's why mine don't have themes lol I kinda like it as is. I think would try a blue choker of sorts to break up the neck but other than that it looks better :) hmm.... try a tattoo on the tummy... I think it white of the skin needs to be broken up a tad :/ that's just me though XD

True I usually skip a theme too... but wanted to make something Jelly hasn't really seen before... (and poets are so very rare it seems these days :lol:) Will go check out those ideas... any specific tummy tattoo you were thinking of? |
