Theodore seemed to slowly calm under the gentle petting, wrapping his arms slowly around Arturo and he gave a slow sigh. "I missed you, Arturo..." He whispered, closing his eyes a moment as he rested in against the man, feeling weak from the fight the night before. He didn't want to leave his hold for a while... it felt so nice to be treated kindly by someone.

Arturo smiled, glad the Theodore he remembered hadn't vanished with the poor treatment from the Blanco tribe. "Missed you too, kid." After patting him some, he paused. "Theo, they're not going to come after you, are they?" |
Theodore tipped his head a bit to look at the man, nodding slowly. "Yes... Eventually they will. They'll want to take me in as a traitor for killing Adrien. I didn't kill that kid though... the decoy, I just knocked him out." He sighed, tipping his head down in against Arturo.
"... I don't want to go back again. The punishment for this will be brutal... if not death." He buried his face in against the man's chest. "PLease don't let them take me..." |
"I think it would be best if you stayed in the castle until they relent on their interest on killing you." Arturo sighed heavily, realizing his hopes of traveling were going to be put off once more. "If they come, at least King Aviar can defend you within these stone walls." |
"But... Arturo, the trip--you want to go so badly. My wounds are already holding us back long enough." He shook his head ab it though he knew that Arturo was right. If the tribe came after him, then there would be no way for him to keep them from taking him if they were defenseless outside of the castle. They would send multiple people seeing as he had managed to take out Adrien--it made him a high risk job.

"Is there no way to convince them to just leave you alone? How can you be such a threat if you promise to live a peaceful life...like...your mother did, for example?" The water mage was concerned over a bandage that had fallen loose. He began tending to it. |
"My mother didn't kill anyone either however. She never had the same training as I got because she never showed any abilities other than heightened senses. She was taken care of but when she met my father, they let her leave willingly.
"They didn't plan on coming back after anyone from our family, because non of my brothers were like her, but when I came, I guess they started looking closer at our family. They were giving up when I didn't show anything, Adrien told me. But when I showed such power, they knew they'd have to take me. "Then Tobias and Aidan were in the picture though, and they didn't want to deal with mages, so they waited and hoped I didn't fall to the military." He said gently, letting Arturo fuss with his badages, blushing faintly. "Mm... They also don't want me to fall into someone else's control--they just want to keep control over me. If they can't have me, it'll be no one." He shook his head again, pressing in against the mage's shoulder, closing his eyes. |
"So even if you started training 'under the military,' they'll come after you, I take it?" The mage pondered. "They ought to be careful. If they arouse more anger from His Majesty, they'll be the next ones to receive a declaration of war..." |
"Well... I... I don't know. It'd be worth a try, I suppose." Theodore said gently, leaning back carefully. He'd at least gotten over his spat with the now King Aviar, the thought of being 'military' wasn't as disturbing as it would have been three years before. He didn't want there to be another war anyway... the last one had been so horrible, this one would probably have been worse.

"Then I'll talk to the trainers to get you situated. They're used to having little children...so you might be a welcome change." The mage rose, wanting to set up this as quickly as possible. Danny had bounded in, his pants quite undone. He had escaped his mothers "clutches" in a fit of giggles after relieving himself. As much as she called after him to cover himself up before taking off, he was having quite too much fun. "Whoa there, little man," Arturo said, laughing as he scooped up the toddler. |
Theodore let Arturo get up, blinking a few times as Danny game in like that, laughing. That was a nice change from the serious tension that had settled in the room. He watched as Arturo scooped the boy up, rubbing at his face a little with a small yawn. He was rather exhausted already, he hated beign wounded, it just drained him like that.

"Let's let Theodore sleep some, shall we?" Danny looked over at Theo. "Beddy bye?" "Yes...and you need a nap yourself," Danielle said, walking in to take her child from the mage. "No nappy," he responded with a prominent pout. With some coaxing and the appearance of his toy, he allowed her to pull up his pants and take him off to her room to sleep. |
Theodore smiled at them and nodded a little to Danny. He bid them farewell and let them go about their ways before he shifted to carefully lay down in bed agian, holding his side softly over one bandaged area as he dozed off. He'd be out for a few hours more before he stirred again, rolling over slowly to look around and see if anyone was in his room again.

The mages were vigilant after Arturo discussed with King Aviar over the potential threat the Bianco tribe possessed. Even if their target was solely Theodore, His Majesty had witnessed with his own eyes how destructive they could get. He would not risk the safety of his people with the behaviors of these reckless people! The court had discussed the possibility of going to war. But with how peaceful the lands were, both King Aviar and Queen Nybari agreed to not jump into it without attempting diplomacy first. In the king's case, it would have to be initiated by the tribe. Danielle entered Theodore's room with a tray of food, finding him awake. "How are you feeling?" The little boy in the meantime was hopping around after her, quite entertained with his actions. |
Theodore smiled at Danielle and Danny, sitting up slowly as she brought him some food. "I'm feeling much better today, thanks." He replied, patting the bed for Danny to come back and sit on the bed with him.

Danny crawled up onto the bed, pulling at the sheets to help him. "It's yummy time." The boy plopped onto his back and kicked at the air some before laying flat. Danielle touched Theodore's head to check, glancing over the bandages. "Good, good." |
Theodore laughed a little bit at Danny, watching him as he joined him on the bed. His blue eyes turned to Danielle when she touched his head, smiling gently at her. He made sure the food was down on his bed before he gently wrapped an arm around Danielle's waist, touching her side gingerly as he hugged her a bit.

Danielle pat him slowly, rubbing his back. Before she said anything, Danny had dipped his hand into Theodore's bowl to see what he had. "Ah, Danny, stop it now..." She sighed. Raising him got tiring at times. |
Danny's actions made him give a chuckle, ruffling the boy's hair a bit. "Mm, let him Danielle. I don't mind." He pet through the child's hair a bit. "But you can only do it to my food, okay Danny? It's not polite to do that to other people's food." He added gently, rubbing his shoulder a bit as he kept one arm around Danielle's waist, stroking her side idly.

The boy licked his fingers. "Kay," he replied, diving his other hand into the other one. "Oh you spoil him," she responded with tsks. |
"I know." He laughed, lettingthe boy taste his food, not eating yet. He wasn't too hungry at the moment, though he was glad Danielle had brought it for him. He hugged her against him again, tipping his head in against her body with that soft smile. "Mm.. He's adorable though, I can't help it."

Danielle smiled as she watched the child, flushed from the compliment. While he wasn't the easiest of kids to raise and deal with, she couldn't imagine her life without him. Reaching over, she brushed away crumbs from the boy's cheek. "Yeah." |
"Hopefully he'll take after you.. mm." He tipped his head back a bit and slid his hand up gently to bring Danielle into a gentle kiss, rubbing her back slowly.

Danielle caught herself before she allowed anymore of the feel of his lips upon hers. Withdrawing, she covered her mouth, her eyes immediately going to see if Danny had seen. Somehow, she had associated anything of the nature as too bad for innocent eyes. The fact that he was distracted with eating gave her relief. She flushed. "Oh...I'm so sorry..." |
Theodore blinked and his freckled cheeks flushed over slightly as he looked off again. "I'm sorry--I shouldn't have done that." He retorted, biting his lower lip gently and he began drawing his arm back a bit and away from her waist.
