You can't spell paintball without PAIN
 

So I recently went with my church to go paintballing. Basically, you shoot plastic paintballs approx. 1in in diameter going 200 m/hr at each other. believe me when nothing says "i love you in Christ" better then nailing someone in the head with a paintball 8D. I personally came back with 6 bruises and one bloodied up arm. One on my friends has 15 bruises all down her back.

So the point of this thread is to post stupid/painful experiences you had but they were also the most fun you've ever had as well =]

Lol. That sounds funny.. I've always wanted to try out paintball. Never had the chance so far though.

As for a story I have...this was more of an accident, but it was both painful and fun. I have this tree outside my house...and it hangs over bricks. I went up into the tree to hang stuff...and I couldn't figure out how to get down. Eventually, I just fell, and landed right on my back.

It was...quite painful.

When I got up, my immediate reaction was "...THAT WAS FUN! Can I do it again!?"

I love paintball, one time me and my friend were on a team and it was his first time and we we against some pretty badass paintballers so while we're looking for a route to take he sees a dude and pulls the trigger but somehow manages to nail me right in the ass from about a foot away...hurt for a while x.x

This was for a church outing?

Hah. My mom's church is so strict that the pastor made a girl sew up a very short slit that was in the side of the skirt she wore.

My mom herself only goes on occasion, she hasn't been in months xD

I haven't ever played paintball, but I want to, it sounds really fun!...as long as you wear gear so that you don't get hurt as bad..xD lol OR lasertag!

the only protection you get is a face mask to keep your eyeballs protected from speeding paintballs. other then that, you are expected to wear thick clothing. this being my first time, i kinda missed that memo x]. which resulted in a bloody love mark left by one of my friends. but seriously, don't let bruises scare you. i mean yes it does hurt but not as bad as the bruises make it seem. and the bruises stop hurting after 2 days even though the don't fad for about 1-2 weeks. so yea it looks and sound bad but it's mainly exaggerated. it's a WONDERFUL way to get rid of stress >=]

I've never been paintballing, but I heard it's really painful. That is funny, I would have never thought of that though.

yeah, that's why i prefer laser tag. same action, less mess, less pain :D

Pain is what makes everything so fun though. I guess some people just flat out don't like it. Ah well....

ive been paintballing, is GREAT fun but yeah it can hurt

we were playing on an icy day and i got shot on the hand, TWICE on the exact same spot lol

left a lovely little mark lol

didnt mind getting shot on the hand the second time tho, coz i was using my hand to protect my privates lol

if my hand hadnt been there it would have been a LOT more painful lol

only protective gear we got was a jumpsuit and the mask (wasnt even the full over helmet, just the mask)

only the smaller kids before us got full helmets and the chest plate things O_o lol

best day out in a long time tho :)

my friends got shot in the hands. it left lovely marks for them. my love mark is on my left elbow where i accidentally got in the way of my friend's fire. it was about 5 inches away too. very very lovely. i basically said "be fruitful and produce offspring" just not in that exact phrase

Yep...the pain and the mess make everything all the more exciting. When I was little, I strongly preferred playing tag after the rain, when the ground was slippery and muddy (and it caused me to run into trees! Ouch...) to playing tag on a partly cloudy day, low humidity, dry ground. It was more exciting. XD

Haha, I don't know what you were expecting if not bruises xD I've never gone paint balling before but I know a guy on a team.
Can't say I've done anything fun that has potential pain in it xD

lol, i didn't say that i didn't like paintball, just that i preferred laser tag. i think it's not just the lack of pain, or the fact that less mess occurs, but rather the fact that you're playing with glowing lights. i guess the glowing lights appeal to me. (perhaps i have a glowing light fetish, lol)

i really had fun the last time i did laser tag, but i do remember red marks all over my body from where the paint balls hit, and being incredibly sore for a couple of days. i also remember it taking forever to get the paint of my hair, due to how thick it is. still a lot of fun, but also painful and messy. so, if i had to make a choice between paintball or laser tag, i'd probably choose laser tag, even though they're both a lot of fun.
