@Clucktastic
Well..We don't have any bananas right now or the stuff to make the bread, lol. So I can't help you there.. Hmm.. *thinks* You can just go to the store and get the kind that comes in a box...not fun but yeah.. Lol, it is yummy *nods* @Deniece Wow, that's pretty cool.. That's really neat. I don't know what a peanut butter roll is, but I bet it's good ^^ @Renchan Hmm.. English word...? Well I can't help unless you describe it..Cookiesare nice though. Cookies and cakes are fun to do. |
I’ve been told on more than on occasion that I can cook and bake. My sister gets annoyed that my food turns out good and hers doesn’t so she calls me Betty fu#*ing Crocker. I however don’t think I can cook, personally I think food tastes so much better when someone else makes it. >.< I guess if I had to choose between cooking and baking it would most defiantly have to be baking. Food that is baked always turns out so awesome. Cookies, cake, pies and especially this new recipe I’ve found called spazona. It’s like spaghetti only you cook it like lasagna with the layers of cheese, meat and spaghetti noodles and then you bake it in the oven. It goes really great with garlic bread, a light salad and for the desert a cookie monster. That’s a giant cookie and I mean giant its big enough to feed 3 people in my family, or just my brother. xP Ice cream and whipping cream are put on top of the cookie. Then caramel or chocolate is drizzled over it and you top it all off with a cherry. I gain 50 pounds just thinking about it. :: drools ::

@fuyumi - Have you made the Cardamom White Caps yet? If so, how did you like them?
|
Oh jee, I really enjoy cooking and baking, but never have the time to do either. As for which I like better, as good as baked things are, I prefer cooking because you have more diversity and not as much guilt over eating it in so many cases.
|
@Lady Monoki
Giant cookies are great. I've only made one once..It was a chocolate chip one..^^..Hm.. I agree with the food tastes much better than when you make it yourself. You are your own critic. @Alaunt No, not yet >_< My mom hasn't gone to the store yet, and well..I tend to wait awhile before I bake things. I'll get back to you when I do make them though ^^ @Eternalhearts Yeah..Time matters... Though is there really time, or do we just age and the sun and the moon just rise and set? Time doesn't really exist. Things just change I think XD. It is true that you have more things to cook than to bake. *nods slowly* |
I love to cook. I've been cooking and banking since I was very little, my dad taught me. My mom worked full time so from a very young age my brother and I helped my dad make dinner. I actually was in school studying cullinary arts at one time as well. As for which I am beter at... I'm about the same skill level of both, and love to try diffrent a exciting things. The only dishe that excapes my knowledge is Jello Molds. Why do they never stay together? Why do they always fall apart on me? I like to cook pasta, chicken, fish, prety much any thing i get my hands on. I tend to be very simple in my dished, and thatworkd out well for me, since every one likes things diffrent if you make some thing very simple they can each dress it up their own way. I love baking cookies and quick breads. I don't really like yeast breads, they annoy me because they take way too long. I'm pretty good at making cakes as well. My favorite mean would probably be Baked chicken, with roasted potatoes or rice, steamed vegetables, and dinner rolls. very simple and every one loves it. I love it when others cook for me, because I do most of the cooking my self at home.
|
@Fuyumi - Haha. Mhmm. Excuses.
I think I am gonna look up the recipe for it, and possibly make some this weekend. Maybe tonight if I am up to it. I really want Banana Bread now. |
Banana Bread is good. I have a recepie that my mom got off of a box of margerine years ago and it's the best recepie that any one in my family has ever had. I should make some for my fieance's family to take with us on christmas. *nods* yeah that's a good idea I'll ask him to pick up soem bananas if he goes to the store.
|
I'm not much of a chef. Tough I just order food! XP
|
You're making me hungry...
Hmm.. I guess I like cooking better. I don't really know much about baking. The only things I've baked are those ready-to-bake cakes and cookies. So basically, all the baking I've done is just by shoving ready-to-bake food into the oven. I know quite a few dishes. And I only cook when it's really called for. I know how to make spaghetti, too. I don't cook much, but I know how to cook. I guess. ^_^ |
Heck yes, I'm going over to my mom's this saturday maybe and we're going to cook my favorite appetizer as a snack :3 along with bake christmas cookies. yesssss.
I'll have to post the recipe when i get back, they're really good! They're like.. sausage roll things. |
I get in moods to bake and cook sometimes, but I'm not very good at it. It's a little bit complicated by the fact that I'm a vegetarian and even the "easy" vegetarian recipes are kind of gourmet most of the time.
I've been cooking for my family a bit lately. They're nice about what I make, but it's never as good as when someone else does it. Bakings a bit easier. I'm making fudge w/ my grandma on Saturday. That'll be pretty hard to screw up. Do you pretty much just follow recipes or do you make up your own stuff? I never understand how people can do that. Even just altering recipes seems like it would be hard to me. |
I bake the lazy way. Mix eggs, water, and store bought batter and stick it in the oven. xD I think it would be cool to bake from scratch but honestly, I don't know what all would go in it. Well, obviously the things that go in store bought things like eggs and water or milk. What else? Flower and sugar? I don't know. ._.; I really don't bake much, and when I do, I just mix everything, throw it in the oven, then get my mom to time it and take it out when it's done. I get distracted easily, which lead to burnt brownies once and I couldn't stand killing any more. ;.;
I don't know much about cooking either. I can cook steak, hot dogs, and hamburgers on a charcoal grill. I can also make fried and scrambled eggs, rice, and french toast. That's pretty much it. My boyfriend is a better cook than I am. My favorite would either be the steak or the french toast. I like it when people cook for me because it's almost always something I don't know how to cook. So I get variety that way. |
I love to cook it is so fun i want to e chef when i am older. the part i love most about cooking is creating your own dish like ne time i made something that i call..........................well i really dont have a name 4 it but it is really good i just threw stuff toget her and i was done.

1. Do you like to cook/bake?
Yes and even if I didnt I would still have to do it...HAHA 2. Which are you better at, cooking or baking? I would say baking but only because I like it more. I am pretty good at both. 3. What do you like to cook? Everything. I like to try new things and change things up. I dont eat red meat so I am always changeing stuff around. 4.What do you like to bake? Cakes!! But I normally am making cookies for my hubby... 5. What's your favorite meal? Sushi...but I havent mastered it YET! :) 6. Do you like it when others make something for you? Sometimes...depends on who is cooking... |
I recently made biscuits for the first time. I followed the recipe very closely (something I've been known not to do while baking), and they apparently turned out very good (though not quite fluffy). It was a proud moment for me.

baking
baking is really fun!!!
i do it all the time at home i used to be into baking cakes and pancakaes, but just reccently i learned how to make crepe's and such they taste so good!!! Today, since winter break starts for me, people at school were giving gifts. my friend tommy gave me some raspberry crumble!!! my grandpa already ate two peices!!! haha, i told him no to eat anymore. :lol: |
I like doing both. However, I've been cooking more just because I don't get the opportunity to really bake in college what with the lack of supplies and whatnot.
And after going through all the cooking in college, I definitely appreciate homecooked meals much more. I miss my mommy's and daddy's cooking and not having to make stuff while actually having the food I eat taste good (our college cafeteria fails at having good food). Apparently I'm not a horrible cook. None of my college friends have died yet or have complained too much, so I don't think I'm as bad a cook as I suspected. Well, I was always an okay cook, I just hid the fact so that others would cook for me. xD Yesh, I am sneaky and devious in my cunning and scheming. Muwahahaha. v^^v ...but I have really wanted to bake recently, especially now that I've come home. The only thing is that there's already so much food here and there's no time! TT.TT |
[color=cyan]1. Do you like to cook/bake?
umm isent it the same thing??? Yes i do ^ ^ for x-mas gifts i made all my friends my faimly secret reciie for choclet chip cookies. ^ ^2. Which are you better at, cooking or baking? 3. What's your favorite meal? Anything coverd in cheese.. lols 6. Do you like it when others make something for you? Yes! [ |
Yea, i've always liked to bake & cook. But I can't lolz.
But I think i'm better in both. It both looks easy, haha. But the only thing I baked was a chocolate cake. And I didn't make it by myself. So, that don't counts, right? |
Do you like to cook/bake?
Yessums, I love to cook and bake, even though I'm not that good at either. I usually burn all the food, hence I don't cook dinner. xPP Which are you better at, cooking or baking? I think I'm better at cooking. Baking from scratch is impossible for me. I need to have those Betty Crocker easy thingies. xPP What do you like to cook? Chinese food. Mostly rice though. We have a rice cooker and home, and amazingly, cooking rice has become so much easier. xPP I'd try new things, if my mom lets me. What do you like to bake? Cake!! And cookies. But the only thing I can do with them is add water, stir, [and for cookies make into circles], and pop them in the oven. I can't bake from scratch to save my life. I have a guy friend who can though. The jealousy is just oozing out of my pores right now. xPP What's your favorite meal? Pork chops with sauce. I can't really describe it, as it's a Chinese dish, but it's MMMMMMHMMMM YUMMMM. God's gift to Asian people. Do you like it when others make something for you? Of course!! It means more food, and more food makes YI happy as hell~~ |
I love to bake. I also like to cook but not as much. Most of the time i end up cooking for myself i don't cook that often for other people.
|
I love to cook.
I just hate to bake. People who can bake are gifted. (I swear! lol.) It's a hard thing to do. I mean knowing the amount of salt, sugar, flour, etc. is just crazy. I could never do it. (looking inside of a book isn't really baking.) People who can naturally do it all is just amazing. *and people who can bake on an open fire are just amazing.* |

1. yes i do! but im not good in it though..D; 2. i think im better in cooking? 3. steak! and fried rice! XD i love to see they get mixed with other ingredients..;P 4. chocolate cakes >w< we rarely make one these days.. 5. i sayy, crab dishes <3 6. yes i do!!~ i feel appreciated <3 |
I both cook and bake. But, I only bake when I need to calm down, it makes me happy, especially when I make brownies^^ Mmm, I love brownies. As for cooking, I do it occasionally, but not as much as I should, thats the problem with working and going to school, I'm hardly home.
