Fuego stretched out on the couch after blow drying his hair. He loved how it felt, clean and newly dry. He smirked when Morgan's hands found their way into his hair. "You like it?"
"Mmhm." Fuego wanted to feel through Morgan's hair, his eyes glanced around for Fernando to make sure he wouldn't be watching them. He wasn't in sight. "Where-Where did Papi go?" ~~~ Fernando had stolen a lot of things in his lifetime that he had never paid back. He would hardly be called a person who felt guilt for breaking a 10 commandment. Yet, the money he took from Morgan's wallet felt heavy in his pocket. He would be paying him back for what he borrowed. He had to pay for himself and Kunzi after all. He walked into the room, escorting Kunzi inside. Morgan would have to wait till the morning. |
Kunzi had to admit the drab, small motel room was nothing like what she had ever stepped foot in. She had seen unfinished houses and empty rooms look much more extravagant. A bed with two pillows and thin sheets, a television with a cracked frame, a phone upon a dresser that most likely was stuffed with a bible, and a door leading to a bathroom was all that was there. Beige walls and gray carpet.
It was a dumb question, and she knew it. But she couldn't think of anything else to say at the moment. She was standing close enough to him that she could smell his distinct scent. It was alluring and mysterious. "What did you want to do?" *** Morgan glances around. "I can smell shampoo...so...he took a shower. Maybe he's taking a nap." He shifted his position to steal a kiss upon Rafaga's lips. |
Fernando smirked slowly. Such an innocent question from a woman who already had a son. "I just wanted to get my feelings across to you." His long fingers reached out to touch the strand of pearls along her neck. Definately not fake like the ones he had given his wife as a wedding present. "There's no other woman in America or Mexico as beautiful as you are. I thought you should know that."
Kunzi smiled at him. "Thank you." His hand so close to her neck gave her shivvers, from excitement and from the vague inclination that he could be a murderer she just walkedinto a trap with. Before another word or thought could happen she was in Fernando's arms, pressed up against him. |
The maitre'd paused at the sight of the four youths. Shorts, grass stains, and sweat. Certainly, this was not allowed. Imagine the impression the other patrons would have of the restaurant. One of disgust and disdain. They would never eat here again. At the sound of Topaz's shout, he froze. God, not that child. Anyone but that child! The staff was scarred from every interaction they have ever had with him. And his parents never seemed to care.
Jade knew there was extreme reluctance to seat them. He flashed his credit card. The maitre'd eye's widened. A single name. Imagine the patrons' reactions knowing that a celebrity dined at this restaurant! Imagine the pomp they would gain to know he dined here! The four were seated without a fuss. |
Hide glanced over the menu Kaze handed to him. His white eyes looked over the English print. He could read it, just not understand what any of the American dishes were. He didn't know what was good, or what wasn't. Kaze was too busy engrossed in teasingly blocking the words on Jade's menu with his hand while Jade giggled at him.
Hide turned towards Topaz. "I'm not sure what this is." He pointed to a dish. "Oh!" Topaz was more than happy to educate Hide on what the dish was. "It's really really good. That's what I'm going to get." "Then I will get the same!" The five year old smirked. It was obvious Hide thought he was the coolest person in the world. This was a feeling Topaz loved! He enjoyed answering Hide's question and knowing all the answers. |
Topaz's narcissism allowed him to enjoy basking in all of his glory. Hide had recognized how awesome he really was! And because of that, he forgot why he was initially so upset with him. In fact, he liked him. He wasn't stupid like his classmates who tried to compete for the best. Hide, Hide just knew he was so cool that he didn't bother to dominate.
Smart kid. *** Jet Han Li had earned so many titles. High school graduate, valedictorian. College graduate, magna cum laude. Juris Doctor. Esquire. And now, he was sure he had added on gay to that list. Through his tousled bangs he watched Miguel sleep. It had happened so fast - and lasted so long. He didn’t feel sinful. A little aching throb, perhaps. Nothing an aspirin couldn’t numb. He sat up, looked out the open glass doors leading out to the balcony. The wind picked up and blew through the long, sheen curtains. He was certain he wouldn’t make anonymous flings a regular thing. It just wasn’t him. Once he laid back down, he felt Miguel’s arms wrap about him. Sighing, he closed his eyes and slept. He was still Jet Han Li, Esquire. Lapis Li himself would make sure of it. |
Aires watched the cab leave with Sapphire in it. He smiled at the idea of seeing him again. They had just parted ways but he was looking forward to the next time they would meet. They hadn't set a specific day or anything, but Aires was certain they would. Even if Sapphire didn't want to see him again, there was no way Aires was going to let him slip through his fingers. Besides, he was sure Sapphire didn't mind being around him since they had such deep conversations in Mexico.
Marisol looked at the house in front of her . She couldn't believe her son was a Doctor living in a place that was so nice! It was much nicer than her house had been with her family and at that point in time they had been one of the nicer houses on the street. "I can't believe how you've gotten to be so distinguished." Marisol headed inside the house to look around while Aires stayed on the lawn watching the cab turn the corner to disappear from sight. He heard Marisol cry out inside the house. Oh god...hopefully she didn't find the--- "What are these? Men magazines? Stand ups of that boy?" She had found it...........He sighed and went in to explain to his mother that he did indeed have a huge crush on Sapphire and to remind her WHY he got kicked out of the priest program in the first place. |
KT watched Mateo read. He was humored by his glasses.
"I wore glasses." Mateo looked up from his book. "Do you still?" "No way, I have perfect vision." "...Then why?" "My sister's not perfect. She got glasses. So I wore some fake ones for awhile. They were sexy." This, Mateo found hard to believe. KT had to have been making fun of him. He removed his reading glasses, folded them and set them aside with his book. "What'd you do that for?" |
Mateo lifted his water glass to drink from it. "I'd rather not be ridiculed in my own home."
"I wasn't. I was just talking to you. You're so sensitive." KT rolled his eyes as he sat beside him. "Mat.." "Hm?" "I wrote you a song." "Oh?" "Would you say more than one syllable?" "No." "Would you like to hear it?" "No." KT's brow furrowed. "Fine, I don't want to play it for you anyways." His fist clenched as he moved away from him to the music room. He was going to write another song, about how much he disliked Mateo Caluroso. Mateo meanwhile sat smirking. He lifted his glasses and his book and began reading again. |
Once cleaned and ready for bed, Topaz jumped onto his, sprawling out to occupy as much space as possible. Hide's eyes followed his bare legs before he looked for space for himself. Before he said anything, Topaz rolled onto his side.
"Do you want the wall?" "I was...going to sleep with Jade and Viento actually." Topaz shot up. "Really? Let's go!" He thrust himself off, letting the sheets fall onto the floor before bounding to his brother's room. |
Viento was forced to separate from Jade when the two bodies jumped onto the bed between them. He couldn't hold back a laugh when their excited faces and giggles squirmed under the sheets. "Looks like we have two little monkeys in our bed, Jade."
Jade smiled brightly as Hide and Topaz covered their heads with the blankets and responded with small monkey noises. Violet and red eyes shined brightly with the same idea as their hands tickled the bodies until the two cried out to stop in a fit of laughter. The two boys poked their heads out from under the blankets and got comfortable between the two. Hide looked at his brother when a protective arm draped over him. The sign of affection came as a surprise. "Good night little brother." Viento smiled at him before closing his eyes. |
Mateo closed his book. KT was in the other room, making so much noise, he swore a headache was coming along. He picked a person so different from him to humor himself with. So far from perfection. So far from being mature and obedient. Times like this, he questioned why he didn't just throw him out of his place. Rising, he went to the room KT liked to call his music room.
He called it crap. KT was playing his guitar. Some angry noise. "You call this music?" |
KT strummed a few more dramatic notes hard. He added lyrics off the top of his head that included Mateo being stupid and dumb.
Mateo's arms crossed. "Why can't you be a good musician like Jade?" If only KT WAS Jade. Mateo turned to head out of the room to go to his bedroom. If KT was going to act stupid, he was going to go do something productive at work even if it was late at night. Maybe he would buy Jade flowers again..if only he was awake at this hour. |
"LIKE Jade? I'm better!"
Mateo heard this and laughed. KT was such a joke. KT heard him laugh and set his precious guitar aside. "How dare you!" He pursued him to the room and grabbed at his arm in protest of his laughter. "It's not funny. He's just lucky he got a chance!" "You don't know how lucky you are." "Why does making fun of me and defending Jade get you talking?!" |
The answer was there, but Mateo wouldn't say it. He loved Jade, he wanted Jade, he adored everything about Jade, he envied Viento.
"Bashing you puts a smile on my face. There." "You're a jerk." "You claim you would be just as good as Jade if you got your chance. I'd like to see if this is really true. A bet, if you will. I'm going to take you to a manager, and set something up. First thing in the morning." |
KT stared at Mateo for awhile as he clutched the door frame. "No way..." He shifted his weight onto his other foot to lean into the room some. "Can I invite people?"
"...to your audition?" "To join me. I belong as a leader in a band." "Not good enough to do it on your own?" "Shut up." |
Mateo sighed some before nodding. "Bring whoever you want. It's still going to be crappy music."
"I'll make you eat those words." "I'll go see Jade about how to get this done tomorrow." |
KT licked his lips. The band was actually going to get a chance. They were going to be heard by professionals. His options were no longer limited to sleazy nightclubs who twisted the rules by letting him sing in tight pants to the patrons. Ignoring Mateo, he grabbed his cell phone and dialed Conejo.
|
Conejo heard his phone play the latest pop hit. He loved the sound of his ringtone. He sang along to it as he walekd to his phone and looked at the picture of who was calling.
KT's face appeared in the screen, a picture they took at a tennis tournament together. Conejo gasped and answered the phone. "Where have you been?! It's been days since I saw you at the club!" |
KT chuckled at the excitement from Conejo's voice. "Hey babe."
Mateo glanced over, arching a brow. Just who was he calling? "I quit the club. I met this guy...and get this, he's going to give me a chance to audition. Maybe record. No - not maybe. When they hear us, they'll make us stars!" |
"NO WAY! You're joking!"
"I'm not." KT smirked as he talked to Conejo. "I can't believe this! Wait...ME TOO?!" "OF course! It's been our dream right? I wouldn't do it without you, Sexy." Mateo heard the squeal on the other end of the phone. It was definately a girl. He frowned at the thought of KT flirting with some girl. What upset him even more was the fact Mateo was even jealous of KT showing attention to someone other than him. It was only alright for him to flirt with someone else. Kt was lucky to even be near him. |
KT put his hand on his hip, shooting out the location and time to meet him. "Dress your best, babe." With a kiss into the phone, he hung up and called Bani.
Sucking in a breath, he hoped this would bridge the rift he had created between the twins. |
Bani reached for her pink cell phone. She looked at the caller ID. Unknown number, probably some boy she didn't feel like talking to. She deepened her voice "Man Voice" she called it.
"Whaddya want?" "I know that husky voice anywhere, Bani." Mateo raised a brow. Bani....hooker name. "Katie?!" "The very same." "Hi! I was worried about you! I haven't heard from you in a long time. I was hoping it wasn't because of..that fight we had..." "Not at all, I just found someone at the club I worked at. I've been hanging out with him. But you're not going to believe what he offered." Bani's nose wrinkled slightly. "I don't want to know about boy on boy issues. Not since--you know." KT continued talking anyways. "He offered me a chance to audition for a record contract. I want you to be in my band." He kept out that Conejo was going to be in it as well. He wouldn't mention it until they were all int eh same room together. "OH my god!" It was hilarious how similar the twins were for them to have the same initial reaction. Conejo's higher pitched voice made them similar in sound too. "I can count on you?" "ALWAYS! I'm so excited! KT this is amazing, it's your dream, my dream! All that talking about it....." She burst into a fit of happy giggles. "When do we meet?" "I'll have to call you back with the details." "Alright!" |
KT sat on the dresser, grinning. Fame was so close he could taste it. Looking over, he finally noticed Mateo’s stare.
“What?” “What kinds of people do you associate with?” “What’s that supposed to mean?” the boy asked, looking somewhat bewildered. Mateo actually wanted to know if KT had slept with both girls.Gross! Was he now riddled with STDs? |
Bani was the first to arrive at Mateo's mansion. She looked it over and looked at the address she had written that KT gave her. "Oh. My. God." Her finger lifted and rang the bell. Certainly she had mistaken the address or something.
KT went to the door to answer it. Mateo lifted a brow. "You answer the door for girls, but not when I ask you to." KT gave him an obvious roll of the eyes as he opened the door. "Bani." His word was cut short as she threw her arms around him and kisses his cheek. "KATIE! I missed you! I missed you so much!" He spun her once before setting her down inside. "Still so beautiful." "You're still the hottest boy alive." It was Mateo's turn to roll his eyes. Another ring of the doorbell. KT kissed Bani's cheek before opening the door. Conejo was leaning against the doorframe with a hand on his hip. "Hello gay lov----EW BANI." "EW! STD CATCHER." In unison the two twins asked. "What's that skank doing here?!" |
