Favourite fantasy creature?
So.. I have always wanted fictional and fantasy creatures to exist.
Lets imagine that I have a machine that can bring creatures from the fantasy world into our own... but the problem is that my machine have only the power to bring two samples of one race (possibly one of each gender). Wich fantasy creature would you like to bring here? You only have ONE vote so choose wisely.. ____________ Vampire - 5 Lycan - Mermaid - 5 Unicorn - 4 Angel - Demon - 2 Faun - 1 Dragon - 6 Elf - 3 Orcs - Phoenix - 4 Kirin - 1 Harpie - 1 Zombie - 1 Nymph - Sekile - Illithid - Griffin - Hippogriff - _____________ Please help me extend my creature list.. just post the name of the creature and I will put it up ^^ Let the voting begin ^^ |
a 3 headed giant dragohn!!!!
|
I´ll put dragon up on the list.. thank you^^
|
I would say vampire!!
nobody can live without vampires |
how can you not live with vampires if they suck yeh blood out?
wouldnt that kill yee? |
@Keykey - I am facinated by vampires aswell. Do you have a specific vampire as a favourite? Louis? Lestat? Spike? Angel? Armand?..
|
well thats true, but they are amazing!! you can make that they suck another humans blood not ours, :D
Psycho: well I have been facinated buy vampire ages but I don't really have a favorite one, sorry |
My favourite fantasy creature is a Vampire ^^
|
And thats one vote more to the vampire ^^
@all: if you brought a vampire is it because you want him/her to turn you or what? |
One vote... That's really bad xD I'm sometimes so indecisive.
And this which I like most depends on my mood... or the fact what I read during last few days x3 |
well both yes and no. I could never kill or drink blood even if my life depens on that. but its still amazing to meet a vampire and get to know him or her, and talk about ancent time.
|
Elf.Or vampire, no, elf!...Vampire with long, pointy ears? I'll go with elf...No..Vampire..Agh.I can't decide!...Fine, vamp.Ignore all claims of me voting elf.
|
My two favorite creatures are not on there: the kirin and the phoenix. Though if I had to choose... I'd say dragon. But only a little one. I much prefer pocket sized dragons to normal sized ones. x]
|
if i have to choose either of those...i would say.. the UNICORN <3 the most beautiful horse ever 'live' ;P
|
Well my favorites are Harpies.
But from the list, it would probably be a unicorn. |
@chai - I´ve added those to yout list.. but I must ask.. what is a kirin?
@KeyKey - I could understand that. But you dont have to kill the one you´re drinking blood from.. + I think that in modern day you could live of artificial blood.. |
I am wondering how it is to be a vampire so yes for turning me in one.But on the other side , i couldn't kill someone(i don't say they do that :']) and blood drinking wouldn't be for me at all. But vampire live very long so you can talk with them to know more about the history and that kind of stuff. And i wouldn't mind to have a friend that's a vampire ^^

@Psycho~ Well, the harpies I'm used to are like half-birds, they look pretty much human except they have wings attatched to their arms(or wings FOR arms) and talons for feet.
Or maybe that's just World of Warcraft harpies. |
Unicorns all the way.
:3 |
well thats true...I didn't think of that, but some says that the person you drink blood from will turn to a vampire or die,
I don't think so, they can survie if you don't drink to much. sorry I need to go now!! bye |
Oh snap this is hard.
Ummm . . . I'd probably go with the phoenix, since a rooster is also a phoenix in weird Chinese ways~ But I love mermaids as well!! |

http://www.clubdesmonstres.com/harpie03.jpg Harpy in Greek mythology, the Harpies were mainly winged death-spirits, best known for constantly stealing all food from Phineas. The literal meaning of the word seems to be "that which grabs" as it comes from the ancient Greek word αρπάξ which means to grab. The Harpy could also bring life. A Harpy was the mother by the West Wind Zephyros of the horses of Achilles. In this context Jane Harrison adduced the notion in Virgil's Georgics that mares became gravid by the wind alone, marvelous to say. Though Hesiod (Theogony) calls them two "lovely-haired" creatures, Harpies as beautiful winged bird-women are a late development, in parallel with the transformation of the "Siren, a creature malign though seductive in Homer, but gradually softened by the Athenian imagination into a sorrowful death angel". On a vase in the Berlin Museum , a harpy has a small figure of a hero in each claw, but her head is recognizably a Gorgon, with goggling eyes, protruding tongue and fangs. |
Well, so nice that there are also a few people who hesitete in voting.
It's so hard question for person addicted of fantasy... @ Klaw: In Greek mithology harpies are also like that. Womens with bird wings (for arms or attached to arms, I don't remember well). //Edit: Ugh, I'm late. |
