@ Carn: She is. If the only thing I succeed doing by graduating college is pissing off that bitch, then I'll be happy. I think I actually pissed her off when I decided I wanted to go to college (when I was still in elementary school!), joined ROTC in high school, and then decided I was gonna go to graduate school when I was still in my junior year in high school! I swear, that woman doesn't want me to succeed!
I think there are some people out there that want to do just that to people :? It's ridiculous. Go find someone else to bring down! :illgetu: I probably already asked you this but I can have a memory like a sieve sometimes... What's your area of study?
Car- I'm far enough into a couple of books that I think I'll be able to manage it! *crosses fingers*
Scholar- Ick! Sounds like they weren't fun books. :( But yay! Glad you're free for the time being! |
I would love to participate, but I have no idea how to edit a post! I'm an avid fantasy reader and have a lot of books in my room. And order many from the library also.Could anyone help by telling me how to edit?
EDIT: I figure it out! |
Hey Papillon! Good luck. :)
Fantasy is my favorite genre as well, what are some of your favorites? |
Go Iltu! You can make it!
Hey! Welcome Papillon! |
I need post-its.
I invented post-its... :stare:
Great, can I have some? *knows you're joking*
Sure you can! *hands over a truck load*
Lol I got it from Romy and Michele's High School Reunion :XD |
...I meant real ones. I tried making one of those origami flower balls with regular paper and tape. Didn't turn out too well....
Oh... I don't have any real ones at the moment.. Aw! That sucks! I haven't found any of my origami paper yet so I haven't gotten to try it out. *goes to find paper*
I'm gonna have to bug my mom to get some over Christmas break. Who knows, I might just make the crazy ball in front of my granny just to piss her off. :P
Taiyo - Lol! You should! :P Sadly though I just discovered that I don't have any origami paper :(
I have a friend who is super good at origami, but I don't have the precision for it myself.
On a completely different note, I just finished Bite Me by Cristopher Moore, which is the third and I think final book in his series about the misadventures of San Fransisco dwelling vampires and those that are privvy to their existance. Even if you're sick of vampires, I definitely reccomend these books, they're hysterical and super fun to read! They're really original and have a huge and really vivid and lovable cast of characters. Anyone else read any of his stuff? I've read the vampire books, A Dirty Job, and Lamb, all five are good reads. |
I used to be pretty good with origami but I stopped practicing a long time ago so I'm probably terrible now.
I think I saw that book in the book store. I haven't read any vampire related books in a while so I might put them on my list! |
*is in a corner again*
Not another corner Taiyo! :( So are you sayin like... Leave for good??
Leave college for good? What choice do I have? I can't afford it. I'll also have to give up all my avatar sites if--no, when--that happens.
That's terrible! :o Is there no like financial aid or scholarship option that can help you out?
Oh gosh, Taiyo, I'm sorry! :(
Don't give up hope! Have you talked to your adviser or your school's financial adviser about what financial aid or scholarship options you have? Even if the school isn't able to help you out, I'm sure they'd be willing to help you look into options that other sources are offering. You could look into getting student loans as well, I know tons of people who put themselves on school using those. I hope everything works out for you. |
So do I, Iltu. I talked to my school advisor and visited the finiancial aid office today between my HND 101 and English 101 (thank the gods for huge gaps between classes), and buracracy strikes again.
