if your house was on fire.....

lets say your house is on fire. lets say your family & any pets are already out.. & you have just enough time to grab ONE thing. what would it be??

knowing that my family & doggy are safe.. i would probably grab my doll cus i just cant sleep without her. & after a reality nightmare like this.. im guna need her to go to sleep! haha :P

o3o

I'd grab private money stashes and anything I can pick up on my way out. XD

Spencer 01-08-2008 09:35 AM

ohh that's a hard question >w<;!

I don't know but it would have to depend on if you mean what I need or what I want. I need my medicine for OCD, asthma, allergies, and the list goes on but I'd want my laptop. But the meds could be replaced pretty easily.

Sir.Spoon 01-08-2008 11:24 AM

I would want to save my books...but there's just too many of them. I would save Toasty, my little stuffed bear. I've had him forever.

wish 01-08-2008 11:30 AM

I'd probably grab a huge bag and toss my laptop, money, external harddrive, mmp3 player, and DS into it. Because they're in the same area by my bed less than 1 foot apart.

Ebil 01-08-2008 11:39 AM

I have an empty suitcase in my room for that very reason.
Once people and pets are out, I'd chuck as many of my Action Figure collection in to the suitcase then throw the suitcase out the window.

Then I'd grab my Wombat stuffy, Trevor and run.

If I didn't have time to throw things in the suitcase, I'd just grab Trevor the Wombat and run.

@ Wish:. Yes. You've found a loop hole. Saving a bag is saving one item...you don't know what's inside it...

whitebeast 01-08-2008 11:39 AM

...If I were to bring just ONE item, I would probably grab my BJD.

He's my most expensive possession yet.

; ; But if I could bring more than one item, I would probably tuck in my Zune on my person with the charging cable and then run with my doll in my arms.
And if I feel greedy, let's throw in my other plushes that I collect.

He's more expensive than my PC even with it's additional hardware and software plus packs a whole more meaning and sentimental value than any.

...I find it cute most people would like to throw in things that keep them emotionally safe than legally safe.

Nobody wants to chuck in their SSS cards and other legal documents? XD' You can seriously tuck them all in just one nifty folder you know!

-giggles- Then again I'm only twenty, living with my mom and I have no responsibilities hence... Emotional security = PRIORITY. D<

And... he's not just a standard you can buy any place. So yeah. Extra care for the stubby nosed doll.

He fell on his face and broken his nose. So he's extra special >3 -sweatdrop-

wish 01-08-2008 11:43 AM

SSS Card? I don't even know where mine is to be honest. .___.; I should find it.

loop holes ftw. besides, the walls of my apartment are made of brick. .-. it doesn't burn as fast as wood. >__>;;

Sir.Spoon 01-08-2008 11:47 AM

@ Wish:. XD. Mine is aluminum siding...it might hold up. O_o...

wish 01-08-2008 11:55 AM

aluminum siding conducts heat + electricity, but it's apparently more fireproof than wood and other materials. xD SO... just don't touch it? LOL.

whitebeast 01-08-2008 12:02 PM

XD

Or your birth certificates and other legal documents.

Why not save those instead?

-giggles-

But seriously. I would really go save my plushes and doll but if worse comes to worse, Zune on my person and Doll in my arms.

._. He's JUST a freaking $800+ worth sort after all.

Le sigh...

But you know what?

There had been a time two days before Christmas day that a dorm behind us really got burned and people panicked. I didn't have time to be able to pack and simply saved myself. I would have brought my CPU with me since in my opinion, everything else could be recovered but the data in there wouldn't be...

Though now, I've become less attached to my digital graphics art and I don't care if they all die. I could care less now.

.___.;

I now have my said doll with the nearby plushes inside a bag or at least sitting by one so if anything should happen...RUN.

Arc 01-08-2008 12:14 PM

Wouldn't grab anything, I'm ensured so I'll be able to get better things then before. :3

Abiogenecist 01-08-2008 12:24 PM

I think I will grab my computer's CPU. Because this little but complicated piece of machine contains my drawings, stories and other personal works and files.

Or perhaps I'll go grab my bunny plushie who so looks so--

*cough*

I mean my CPU!

dreamerice 01-08-2008 12:35 PM

As long and family and pets were out I would grab my purse and car keys. I used to have these same thoughts when I was young. I would run in and out grabbing my stuff but in reality it happens so fast I think you are lucky to get out with your family and pets.

Wynna 01-08-2008 12:38 PM

i would grab, my stuffed cat, Snowy. Man I've had that thing forever.

Pkero 01-08-2008 01:46 PM

I'd grab my laptop. It has all of my important files for school on it. And since it's in my room all the time, I'd grab my stuffed hippo, too. >w<

Bibliotheek 01-08-2008 01:59 PM

My computer. But that would take a lot of time.. so I would just grab my make up box instead.. :| Or.. I don't know.. I have too much stuff :?

TatsuChan 01-08-2008 04:04 PM

Honestly. I live next to a busy highway... My house is tiny.. and I'm not worried about it catching fire.

I'm more worried about an icy day and some huge truck barreling through my kitchen...

xD

Maria-Minamino 01-08-2008 04:06 PM

Mr. Elephant - he's my elephant stuffed animal that my boyfriend gave to me and I sleep with it every night - I love the thing.

But maybe I would grab pictures instead...or my laptop with my pictures in it....because i love my pictures

Uzura 01-08-2008 04:12 PM

Mr. Bear, my little panda bear that I've had since I was 3 months old. I would be devastated if anything were to happen to him.

D-Yoop 01-08-2008 04:19 PM

lol this one is tricky.
This is the answer:
Once you get inside it is your life at risk. Run out as fast as possible to save it! XD

Hmmn yeah so to the actual topic..
*looks around his room*
I think Id save the book Im curently reading.

Violet Lace 01-08-2008 04:23 PM

I'd take either my computer's CPU or my tablet. I'm NOT buying another tablet if it burns up, and I'd really rather not buy another copy of Corel Painter. Though if I save the CDs, I could have Photoshop Elements too...

Sagitar 01-08-2008 04:30 PM

my precious computer and ps2 + all the games D: <3<3

secretdae007 01-08-2008 05:55 PM
