What program are you going to use to clean it up?

Are you using photoshop still?

If so, there are two ways you can clean up your line art.

1)
The first way wont work for this particular bit of line art, because, by the looks of it, you've merged you sketch layer with your line art, or you've drawn your line art on the same layer as your sketch.
This tutorial should give you a rough idea how to do it.
The general idea is that you do your line art on a different layer to your sketch, so you can deleted the sketch, and get nice clean line art :3

2)

The second way has a a lot to do with playing with brightness/contras and levels.
  • a) First a add a white layer under the line art so I can see what I'm doing.
  • b) Then I go to the Image menu and then to brightness/contrast tool. Here's a screen shot.
  • c) Once your there, experiment with the settings until your sketch stuff is gone, like here.\
  • d) After that, go up the image again, and open the levels option. Screen Shot.
  • e) Then you 'play' with you levels until you happy with what it looks like. Moving arrows to the right makes things darker, moving them to the left makes them lighter. Here's a screen shot. Just be careful you don't pixelate your line art - moving the first arrow to far right can do that some times.
  • f) That should just about get your picture cleaned up. Any remaining unwanted stuff can be removed with the eraser tool ♥
  • g) If you want to colour you image, create a new layer and then drag it under you line art. Then, click on your line art layer, and set the layer option to 'multiply'. Go back to your colours layer and colour away~ Screenshot.

For sharper looking line art, a lot of people tend to do their line art really big (like, 2000x2000 pixels), and then resize (usually about 25% or 50% of the original size) it when their finished. This gives the line art a crisper look.

You can also try to use the sharper filter in photoshop - it can give a nice finish sometimes.
