Welcome to the thread, atashi!

I should hit the scanner with a hammer.

Michy Lea 03-13-2009 08:31 PM

xD I'm about ready to hit my webcam with a hammer. It keeps only working when it wants to, but most of the time, it tells me the device isn't connected to the computer, like I'm dumb enough to not plug it in before trying to use it.

Hey! Awesome that you have but they there are different parts of that city anyway. Lol. Webcams are evil.. but that's why I use the PS2 eye toy as one and special program with that. :3 Gives a really great clear picture.

Yes, they are. I think it's being temperamental because I have it and two digital cameras both with their own webcams installed. I might uninstall my older digital camera that I no longer use to see if that helps it work right...

GeminiKizzy 03-14-2009 04:11 AM

Does anyone know if there is going to be a St. Patty's day event?

Michy Lea 03-14-2009 04:21 AM

There isn't going to be one. CK, I think, stated it in one of the threads in Community Discussion. I'll see if I can find it.

Thoth Star 03-14-2009 04:29 AM

Oh cool Bina. I've never seen a PS2 eye toy... I'm poor but I really want to buy a digital camera really badly!

Good idea first to never know. It probably doesn't have enough memory to work well with too much stuff installed into it. The only thing I'd be creeped out about with webcams is I was reading that even if you have a secure line with someone... another person can hack in and see you on your webcam. >< I'd be all creeped out wondering if some strangers were looking at meh.

That sucks.... WHY? A st. patty event would be sooo fun!

Claudia 03-14-2009 04:35 AM

I now have more gold on here then I've ever had before.

Michy Lea 03-14-2009 04:37 AM

xD My webcam has a little sliding thingy over the lens part... Such technical words. Anyway, I keep the sliding part closed over the lens, so no one could see anything but blackness if they tried. I've always been creeped out by them like someone could see, so I always keep that part closed.

I think there will just be a shop update for St. Patrick's Day. I can't remember what thread it was in, and I don't feel like continuing to look for. Don't hate me if I'm wrong, though. I think they aren't having a St. Patrick's Day event so they can spend more time preparing for the Easter event. Maybe it'll start on time.

---

Congratulations, Claudia!

I'm saving up for the Bee and Panda Slippers, so I'm having to send all my gold to my mule to avoid temptations to spend it.

Vickicat 03-14-2009 06:44 AM

Webcams.

You can get some pretty cheap webcams. I was lucky and a neighbor gave me one for free, but he said it was only $20 anyways, and I ended up going out and buying the same one to give to my boyfriend so we could see each other over the computer. And I have seen them even cheaper, like $10. I got a new laptop now though and it came with a built in webcam. I actually prefer the plug in kind though, because that way I know when it's not unplugged, no one can see me. It kind of bothers me to have one that is there all the time. How do people hack into it? Is there any way to tell if someone does that?

Michy Lea 03-14-2009 07:01 AM

My webcam was $30, I think. I've had it for about 5 years, I think. Both of my digital cameras are palm-sized and cost $20 each. I'd like a more professional camera, but those get the job done just fine. I just didn't like my old one, because it drains batteries.

I would be so tempted to spend it!! I've been looking at the shops several times and there's so much I wish I could buy but can't that it's going to be very difficult picking out an outfit.

Connielass 03-14-2009 02:30 PM

Tell me about it. I've got so many things on my Mene wishlist, it's hard to decide what to get first.
Not to mention the other things I see people wearing that aren't commons . . .
::drools over random non-commons::

Claudia 03-14-2009 04:07 PM

I'm going to save 2K because I never have enough gold to buy things at events and then buy a dress for 2.5 K.

Sounds like a good plan, it's also something I would do too.

@Connielass: Oh I know.. I drool over those non-common items.. I want the Atlantis Spirit..(the horsey one) I know there are others I'm quite unaware of. D:

Michy Lea 03-15-2009 07:57 AM

If you go to the Exchange, there's a sticky, the Menewshan Price Guide, that lists all the CIs and EIs.

Connielass 03-15-2009 03:47 PM

. . . . .

::adds to my wishlist::
Now I've got a whole lot more to save for.

Lol, I know... *writes a list up instead*

Claudia 03-16-2009 02:29 AM

I'm going to get that pink and red gown. I think it's called something fruit related.

Izumi 03-16-2009 03:07 AM

Good Luck Claudia!!

I've finally had a play with the MAC and decided a nice combination that with a little effort shouldn't be impossible. Only one event item and the price listing doesn't seem too steep. I'm hoping to get lucky when I go looking for it.

Claudia 03-16-2009 03:13 AM

It's fairly simple...Just sticking with the red/pink theme.

Thoth Star 03-16-2009 04:30 AM

*pokes thread* I can just say honestly that I had a fantastic weekend!
How about everyone else? 8)
