man lives in IKEA
Mark Malkoff is living my dream.
With approval of the store, Mark has moved into a New Jersey IKEA (January 7 - January 12) while his New York City apartment is being fumigated. He lives in a 700 square foot bedroom there, uses the employee bathrooms, and eats at IKEA's restaurant. Watch his video documentaries! |
oh goodness... o___o it kinda reminds me of fight club xD All you need is Tyler Durden to come in and knock some sense into him xD that'll be a whole other movie xD
|
Oh my gosh!!! I've always wanted to live in a store. Especially the ones that sell all the comfy furniture! That would be awesome. That dude is totally living my dream as well. ._.
|
That would be so much fun to live in Ikea. You could choose which room set up you would want and have them close it off, just for your own use. That would be the best thing in the whole world.^-^
|
What the hell?! Oh man that's freaking awesome. I want to live in a furniture store >< they have so many nice things and stuff..but dang, I wonder how this guy got to do it!!
|
Ya know...I would totally love to live in Ikea myself. I mean, all the nice beds...and swedish meatballs...I'm making myself hungry now... But I guess living in Ikea wouldn't be so bad, besides the fact that I'm allergic to the dust there, so my nose is going to have the worst. D: LOL.

Ahahaha this guy is funny. XD <3

A college guy I think a year ago lived at Walmart for a couple days. Of course, he wasn't supposed to. He just wanted to see how long it took before they noticed. And they didn't really... he posted it and got on the news and everything.
They said he could've gotten into a lot a trouble if he was caught. He quit because he was really wasn't getting enough sleep. I wonder if IKEA is doing this for the publicity. This is probably a one-time thing. I'd love to live there! They have a really wide assortment of furniture; he could sleep on a different bedset every night! I wonder if people have different dreams based on a different bedroom theme? |
That is so awesome... OwO [No words.]

I KNOW RIGHT?! When I was little, I always wanted a room like the ones in IKEA. So jealous. life in red and black || Ew, Wal-Mart. P: That is funny though. I can't imagine Wal-Mart to be too comfortable to live in, but it does have basically everything one would need to live there. IKEA's United States home page has this banner which says, "ARE YOU READY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US?" I guess this guy took it literally. XD |
but how does he shower!!!
|
i read about that..i think its pretty retarded...ikea is kind of lame anyways
|
o.O
I wanna be him and eat swedish meatballs all day! XDD I've always dreamed of having an Ikea-room... |
veryvery ||
They have employee showers. :o yorikobii || Don't IKEA rooms look so perfect? I get a bunch of ideas for my room when I look through an IKEA catalogue. :P |
I'm obsessed with Ikea catalogs xP
One time, I spent my whole day looking through the catalog and reading every single word and putting my own apartment together. xD;; I think it cost around $1000...I forgot I now have a semi-Ikea room though. I've got an Ikea desk and bunk bed plus Ikea bookcases! I want one of their chairs though ;-; |
oh wow, i actually havent been in an Ikea store... i dunt really like furniture stores that much *bad experience of boredom in being one during childhood*
|

Haha, that is amazing. I plan on going on an IKEA shopping spree when I move out. How convenient that they have the style of furniture I like most AND their prices are relatively cheap. I also keep seeing things from different stores/boutiques online that I want in my future apartment though, and I want to just go on a furniture/home decoration thingies shopping spree in general. wasashu || I always had good memories associated with IKEA because they have playrooms for children while their parents shop! Otherwise, yes, furniture shopping bored me to death. |
*______* SO LUCKY!
lucky lucky ikea childrens T_T *sulks in a corner* |
Lol, that would be funny.
It will be so awesome if I'd live in Ikea! LOL!! I remember my first time in Ikea, it was a really big store :o |
That is just too cool! I have always wanted to live in some big store or mall. Or at least spend a couple days in one. Though I don't know if I'd want to do it alone. It could get pretty scary at night. If my best friend was with me, that woulds just be the funnest thing ever!

I saw that on Yahoo News. I have to give props to that guy. Why go to a motel, or stay with family when you can live it up in luxury at the local IKEA? Genius all around I say.
|
Oh my god.. I'd LOVE to do that! I'd rather live in a place called Furniaturemart though. It would be so funnie. :P i don't know of a place actually called that though, so IKEA will do. |
