"That doesn't mean you have to act THIS way." she said looking at him still crying in the sand.

"Well I've been trying to get your attention this entire time and all you think about is Kashi!"

"Well I can't help that it's that way. I am worried about him right now since I have no idea where he is or if he's alright. I'm worried about you too because obviously you hurt your leg and lied about it."

"My leg's just fine! I don't need any help from you right now Sanoko! I don't need help from anyone." Maoko pulled away and turned away from the girl.

"Whatever." Sanoko said and got up and walked off.

Maoko sighed and began walking to where they had started out from. His leg hurt, but it seemed his anger fuiled himself just enough until he had made it back to the others. He sat down on a rock and winced a bit.

Sanoko was already there, but she wasn't exactly with them; she was a little ways away from the others. She was looking out at the ocean.

Maoko felt bad as soon as he noticed Sanoko. With a light sigh, he walked over to the girl the best he could. "Sanoko...I shouldn't have said that. I...I'm s...sorry." He whispered the last word since apologies weren't something he was exactly used to giving.

Sanoko looked up at for a few seconds and then back out at the ocean. She wasn't going to say anything just yet. She would a little later right now she was just too mad and sad.

Maoko sighed and walked up to the girl. "Sanoko...please. Look I said that I'm sorry. I just...I like you okay and it's not exactly easy to hear you talk about another guy or know that you're thinking of him when I want you to be thinking about me." He pouted a bit then wrapped his arms around the girl.

Sanoko looked up at him. She didn't know what to say at the moment, she was still mad and sad and now a bit shocked to hear that he liked her. "Well sorry. I can't help, but now is a time to be thinking about him when we don't know if he's ok. It's perfectly fine to worry about a friend. I would worry about you if I didn't know where you were or if you were ok. I'm also worried about Kuro." she said. She didn't know what else to say, but that.

Maoko sighed and let go of the girl. "You know what I mean Sanoko. It's not worring about him as a friend. You seem to like him as much more." He shrugged. "Guess I was stupid to think that you could ever think of me the same way." He shook his head and turned away from the girl, hiding his watery eyes.

"I know what you mean, but I can't help it." she said as she watched him turn away. "I'm stupid too cause I'm sure Kashi doesn't like me the same way."

Maoko looked at her. "How could he not Sanoko? You're beautiful, strong, smart, fun to be around. I'm just kidding myself even hoping that he doesn't and that maybe by some miracle you'll fall for me. It's all just some big dream inside my head that'll never come true."

"I don't know how he couldn't." she said as she looked down. "You don't know that it won't."

"Right Sanoko, you're really gonna fall for an idiot like me? One that doesn't really have a past, and certainly doesn't have a future. Now why do I find that hard to believe?" You could now see the water in his eyes as Maoko turned away again.

"You're not an idiot! You will have a future, you may not now since you're not sure. I'm not even sure about mine. I don't really have a past either. It's just sad." she said. Her real parents was dead so that was sad.

"Sanoko....be with me. Please." Maoko looked sad as he walked up to the girl and pressed his own lips against hers.

Sanoko didn't really do anything; she just gave him a quick kiss back cause that's what he wanted. She was also saying that in time she will probably be with him.

Maoko felt the kiss and figured it was out of pity. He backed away from the girl and sighed. "Why do you affect me like this..."

Sanoko shrugged. "I don't know and by kissing you back for that little bit I was saying in time we probably will be together."

"Sanoko..I don't want to pull you into something you don't want to be in. Look, I love you, let's leave it at that. There's no use getting my hopes up, it'll only hurt more in the end."

"Well I'm sure that will happen when Kashi tells me he doesn't fell the same cause other than him your the only other person I want to be with."
