Gods, that sucks. Tell Jess we love her!

Queen_Andais 02-02-2009 09:22 PM

I know what it feels like to teeth, so I feel for kids that have to go through it. Damn Wisdom teeth.

Plus a new survivor game on our forum is starting and she's running this version so there is alot of behind the scenes stuff to do before it starts tomorrow.

Melody 02-03-2009 02:26 PM

*needs to get back to the gym* >.<

Queen_Andais 02-03-2009 03:44 PM

Went for a two mile walk yesterday and it felt so great! Also quit smoking so that could be helping with the feeling of over all betterness. *Laughs* Haven't had too many cravings for one either. Ever just get to the point with something that it feels right to quit and walk away from? That's where I am with the smoking.

siaasgn 02-03-2009 05:44 PM

That's awesome!!! I had a hard time quitting - I stopped probably 4 years ago at least and I still have cravings sometimes (usually when I'm drinking heavily)

Queen_Andais 02-03-2009 05:55 PM

They say that most people try quitting a few times before they completely stop and honestly I might be one of those people that has the luck of doing it the first time. Kind of miss not having a smoke in the car, but in all truthfulness there is no sudden wanting of a cigarette or the dying to have one. My friend Tara is taking it a little harder. She's been using the gum to help her through, but she's getting better.

Bilbo 02-03-2009 07:06 PM

I quit back in 2003, but picked it back up for about a year in 2006. Now I only smoke when I'm out drinking with people that smoke (most of my friends have since quit as well). It's NOT easy, and I wish you nothing but luck in it.

Queen_Andais 02-03-2009 07:27 PM

Finding it very easy to not have one. Training myself to chew gum instead and not eat to cover the cravings when they do pop up. Dong so well at losing the weight, don't want it back. Lost around 6-8 pounds so far *claps* Proud of myself.
Tara about made herself gag when she went outside to sniff the refry that she had sitting out there and it smelled nasty. She said it was enough for her to not want to smoke anymore.

siaasgn 02-04-2009 02:04 AM

I chewed a lot of gum when I quit - not the nicotine kind, just regular gum - Congrats on the weight loss and keep up the good work!!!

roocee 02-04-2009 02:24 AM

Jess and my roommate quit about 5 or so years ago and never had another. Very proud of them both.

Melody 02-05-2009 03:39 PM

*never smoked* However, I do get how hard it is to quit and everything so more power to you! and everyone else that I had no idea smoked and have been quitting as well. xD

roocee 02-05-2009 04:03 PM

I haven't either Mel but I've been around enough that have or still do to understand the addiction.

Queen_Andais 02-05-2009 04:08 PM

10 years of smoking was good for me. Always said that when it came time for me to start thinking about having kids, I would quit a year to two years before having any. So now is the time for the quitting.

Really excited about going to Vegas for our two year when Rodd gets back :squee:

roocee 02-05-2009 06:40 PM

You can do it queen.

Queen_Andais 02-05-2009 06:48 PM

Not using the nicorette gum cause it's nasty! Instead, chewing wrigley's double mint...yummy! Except I have bitten my tongue in the same spot like 3 times now. Ouch.

roocee 02-05-2009 06:54 PM

That does hurt. My office manager used Chantix (sp) and it worked wonders for her.

Queen_Andais 02-05-2009 06:58 PM

Tried Wellbutrin to help cut back on the smoking, but all that crap did was make me feel like a zombie and I just kept on smoking.

roocee 02-05-2009 07:08 PM

It didn't have alot of side effects and least she didn't. She did have some strange dreams but I don't remember anything else.

Queen_Andais 02-05-2009 07:15 PM

Figure if I can do this with the least amount of chemicals being pumped into my body, the better. Why get rid of one addiction to start another?
Not sure if Tara had to chew any nicorette yesterday, but the day before she did. Of course, she tended to smoke way more then me

roocee 02-05-2009 08:01 PM

That is true queen.

morquarwen 02-06-2009 02:12 PM

Yay Queen, you can do it!!!!

Been vague again, but Ive got an excuse!! Toni was sick, now Elise and I are sick. Ive got just a bit of a cold and a sore throat. Poor Elise has a nasty cold/cough, a double ear infection and a nasty diaper rash I cant get rid of. Shes improving now though. I got an antibiotic and some ass kicking cream wooot xD

Queen_Andais 02-06-2009 03:40 PM

Shouldn't that be Rash kicking cream?

Good to see you back and we all understood about the little ones being sick and that taking time. No worries. *quickly places a gps band around her ankle* This way we can find you.

roocee 02-06-2009 08:30 PM

LOL Queen

Queen_Andais 02-06-2009 08:47 PM

That was horribly cheesy of me, but come on...too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Good afternoon Roo!
