Last night, AVG found a virus...
Alright, last night I did a virus scan using AVG...Well, it found a threat. And when it did, I stopped the scan and AVG told me it healed the infected file...Well, I know from past experiences that healing an infected file doesn't always work...Because my mom's computer had a virus which it supposedly healed, but it didn't work.
After that, I did another virus scan, this time letting it completely finish...There were no threats found. But due to past experiences, I'm a little...Worried...To say the very least. So, any advice on what I should do? AVG said it was '.psyme' I can't remember what was in front of the .psyme though. Anyway, help would be *greatly* appreciated, and I'll most likely worship the ground you walk on. |
Maybe try downloading Spybot Search and Destroy (it's free) and scanning with that? Granted, it only scans for cookie trackers and spybots, but it might help. *shrug*

Avast! Antiviris is what I use.
Its also free, and its awesome. If it cant delete or heal the viris, it locks it away in "the chest" and it won't harm your computer. |

Now you have one of the best programs I can recommend, AVG Free.
Now what I do, is I find the name of the file and track it down on my computer by typing in the name of it so it will come up. I delete it from there. I check every time something is found (nothing has been found for like a year) just incase. |
