To be continued....

Sorry if this is a repeat thread. ^^;;
Don't you just HATE that? I do. =/
It always happens when I don't want it to though. Dx like when I'm watching a really interesting programme. I don't usually watch TV, so it alway happens when I do.

It sucks if you're impatient... like me. D:

I like having a weekly thing to look forward to, like a new many-part documentary or when Doctor Who returns, or Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway...

But when a single episode is split into two parts it's just frustrating. x_x

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 06:30 PM

eomigosh. I love doctor who! I'm not really quite sure if I'm pateient or not, depends on how I feel and what has happened to me. and it is VERY confusing when an episode splits in two, especially if you're watching other programmes too.

Pearl 01-18-2008 06:32 PM

Yeah, Doctor Who is awesome. But Catherine Tate? Eww. D:

butterscotch 01-18-2008 06:33 PM

Oh I HATE that, especially when it's movies that you have to wait another year for. ._. And then you don't even remember what happened so you have to rewatch it again.

I'd rather just watch something extra long than have to wait around for the 2nd (and sometimes 3RD too, aghh) part.

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 06:33 PM

Gosh, the only part I like is the granny. But way too much swearing. >.>;;

Yeah. >.>;
Sometimes they don't even do replays for people who either missed it or forgot it. Dx

Lady Monoki 01-18-2008 06:41 PM

I hate when your watching a series that is a continuation and picks up on the next episode but they for some god awful reason decide to start it all over. You on episode 200 and then bam you’re on 1 again.

That kind of stuff will just make me stop watching it all together it’s very frustrating especially if you’re into it. The only time its acceptable is when I miss an episode, they have my permission to reply that one. ;] However when I'm caught up they need to move back to where I was to begin with. :?

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 06:44 PM

Gosh, that must be terribly annoying. It hasn't happened to me yet... wait. It has. I was watching tokyo mew mew and it goes in a series and the channel I'm watching it from plays it 3 times a day, I only watch it one, so I mis two episodes. There's 52 episodes in the series and I'm also watching the first, fourth, seventh, 10th, ect.
Dx
I've given up on watching it now. I watch crap quality ones on youtube. xD

Jennifer 01-18-2008 06:44 PM

It's like that when watching 'Deal or No Deal'. D< Everytime Howie says something like, "We'll find out...after the break." O or "We'll find out...next time."

I start throwing things at the television. C:

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 06:46 PM

Lmao Jennifer. Are you in the UK? C:
I don't watch deal or no deal, I don't get what happens apart from the contestant picking boxes and the phone ringing. o.o;;

Jennifer 01-18-2008 06:49 PM

Nah, I live in the US. CX I watch the US version.

The cases contain a given ammount of money. The contants pick the box they think has the million dollars in it. They then choose cases at a time. Cases are opened to reveal the ammount. You're basically wanting to get rid of the low numbers. Every time you choose your given number of cases, the "Banker" makes an offer for your case. Yeah...you'd have to check out the site if you want a better explanation. CX

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 06:51 PM

oooooh. Sounds interesting, I'll watch one episode and see if I like it. x]

Here is the site to the US version. C:

I like the excitement of waiting for the next episode/movie/whatever it is. :]

x-Snuffy 01-18-2008 07:06 PM

It was like that when I was really into Inuyasha.
It took like... a week for the new episode to come out and by then I forgot what happened. =.=

It's alright sometimes, but when i'm in a bad mood, and I'm watching TV. I always moan about not being able to watch the next part of the episode and stomp off in a huff.
@Jnnifer: Ooooh. Thanks! =D
@Snuffy: I'm not such a big fan of Inyusha, btu I know, it's really annoying. >.>;;

Yes, I could see how it'd get annoying if you weren't in that great of a mood.

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 07:25 PM

VERY annoying. DDx.
I'm rarely annoyed though. I try to look on the bright side. x]

r to the core 01-18-2008 07:51 PM

That's good, I'm the same way. :]

x-cutie-x-pie-x 01-18-2008 08:25 PM

Sorry for the late reply, but ooh. That's really nice to here fellow optimist. ;3

Fullmetal Phantom 01-18-2008 08:46 PM

My old favorite TV show did that to me twice. Which sucked even MORE than it should have, because I was 9 at the time of the second one. D: Don't remember how old I was the first time...but the thing is, I was a very impatient child. ^^;

I remember this because I STILL love that show...I have almost every episode on tape. XD The two-part episodes aren't as inconvenient anymore, though...because I have them right there. NO MORE WAITING!

But honestly, it drove me crazy when the FIRST half reached its climax...and then the words "TO B CONTINUD LOLZ!" flashed across the bottom of the screen. >.<;

Rananteriel 01-18-2008 08:51 PM

I hate when I have to wait to see how things turn out, especially with my favorite shows / books.

'cept you have to wait months to find out what happens in the next book, in comparison to a week with TV shows

Krystyne 01-18-2008 08:53 PM

I hate when that flashes onto the screen...usually, I'm watching reruns of shows and the second part comes on immediately afterward; but whenever they show the season finale and the words of doom appear, I want to strangle Jerry Bruckheimer. D<

M i n u x e 01-18-2008 09:10 PM

Seeing the words 'to be continued' does piss me off. The shows I watch that have that are anime shows. They show once a week so I have to wait a whole week until I get to see what happens next. On a positive note they do have manga (like a comic) so I could always read ahead if I wanted to.
Almost all animes have episodes that are all linking so what I end up doing is waiting until a series is totally finished before I start watching it. That way if the storyline becomes very good I can just watch all the episodes one after the other.

I usually don't have a problem remembering what happened in the previous episode though.
