"technically my species is deity..." he continued to lead her to a massive cave, from the depths of the cave there was a singing, a beautiful female voice that seemed to make the forest seem brighter and less terrifying "...and we're here" As he approached the cave a dull thudding began to eminate from the cave and a wolf the size of a car stepped out of the shadows. He was beautiful despite his size, a massive grey wolf... he regarded them carefully, Solan standing possesively before arianna. the giant wolf leaned down and growled but before he moved solans aunt stepped out from behind the massive brute and walked up to solan. She kneeled down and nuzzled him gently as the giant wolf began to relax

"Welcome to the forest young ones, You look beautiful in that fur solan... trying to tempt your old aunt?" She winked and rubbed his belly and he cleared his throat and his aunt smiled at arianna "forgive me... i've always had something of a crush on my angelic nephew. You must be the lucky girl he's finally fallen for... I am francine, goddess of the wilds..."

(ok, should've specified His aunt is a woman or at least thats the form shes in... and yes the monsterous wolf is her husband)

"oh dont be so formal beautiful one... you are family" She scratched solan behind his ears and he returned to his usual angelic form

"Its good to see you again... sonjax told us you're running into trouble with some missing cubs" He looked his aunt over and noticed her belly was abit more round than usual "Pregnant again? Are you sure lupis isnt just a giant angry rabbit?" The massive wolf growled and huffed at solan

"Watch your tongue boy... i'll feed you to the children. If you'd like to be usefull come with me and we'll discuss the missing children" The massive wolf snarled at solan.

"He's right, i better go with him... stay here and speak with my aunt while i get the information on whats going on..." Solan kissed arianna lovingly and went with the massive god wolf into the forest as Francine stepped forward and took her hand

"Join me in the cave, its quite comfortable" She smiled placing a hand on her own slightly rounded belly and motioned arianna into the cave

(this'll be a good chance to get to know her while i figure out exactly where i'm going with all this :D )

(lupis is a wolf the size of a horse... big horse)

She smiled as she rubbed her belly "I'm really not sure... it feels like its only been 3 or 4 months..." she took ariannas hand and put it on her belly. one of the cubs kicked alittle and she laughed "...by the elders i love being with child" She looked around to the dozens of wolves that they could see " I birthed each and every one of these beautiful wolves... If i werent a god some would call this peculiar or even perverse... but i suppose its good to set the rules" She sat on a mossy bed near the cave entrance and patted the spot next to her for arianna. Apparently francince found her nervousness charming all by itself, the mortals on that world were almost entirely used to their gods dropping in on them from time to time and new people with their reverance and timid behavior flattered the gods. "I am so glad you and dear solan are together... i must say i am alittle jealous... i had always wanted to bed him myself, perhaps even bear him an heir... but solan is the monogamous type, a rarity among any gods, and apparently he has awarded himself entirely to you... not that i can blame him, you are magnificent..." She was almost being flirty but mostly just trying to put arianna at east. Hoping to ease some of the tension.

"I dont keep track really... i just enjoy it while it lasts" She smiled as arianna spoke of solan "He is a rarity among us and a true treasure, perhaps because of his mother... we gods are known for being rather free spirited in the bedroom... and with our genetixs we have no worry of the problems lesser beings suffer from the concept of in-breeding, or even cross species breeding" she put her arm around arianna in a sisterly fashion and touched her wings gently "I'm sure when the time comes you and solan will have strong beautiful children... of course i fail to believe at all that you or he could fail to produce magnificent babies" Her eyes lit up alittle when arianna mentioned tyler and she blushed deeply "Tyler is an impetuous little tiger... but he's so much like his father" She shivered for a moment and bit her lip "I'm sorry... i get distracted when i think too much on David or Tyler... or the two of them together" She looked to the mouth of the cave and laughed alittle as she watched a few pups fighting over a large bone that was too big for any of them "my babies... i worry about them, some of them have been going missing and i just need to know whats happening in my forest. Hopefully our men will be back soon with some answers..."

She smiled "I've laid down with many within my family, ashe, david, marcus, men, women and children... i've lost count of them all really. Its just amazing whats possible in a life of no consequence..." She nodded slowly as she though on ariannas request, remembering to herself that touching her wings got a moan out of her. "Lupis and i have tried to track the children down but its as if they simply vanished... scent trails that lead nowhere but to dead ends..." she lowered her head sadly "I just... i've never felt so helpless..." She slumped down and put her head in her hands, beginning to whimper alittle

She was about to speak when solan walked into the cave with a spider-web hanging off of his wings and lupis following after him "ok... so we found them. The bad news is i'm gonna need your help to clear them out my beloved..." Solan went to her as lupis nuzzled francine and she kissed him deeply on his large furry muzzle "...besides we better go, i have a feeling if we dont leave now we'll get abit more of a show than we'd like..." He took her hand and lead her out of the cave as the massive wolf and the goddess started into their mating. After they had gotten so far away he looked back to the dark cave entrance and shook his head "...i know we're shape shifters and all but i'm not even sure how she manages to accomodate lupis..." He shook his head and lead her into the darker areas of the woods. "...but you dont approve of my family"

"well lupis is the only man she's ever born children to, and to be honest... most people who WERENT created by an overbearing god who requires his servants to be pure and chaste have had more than one partner in their bed at one point in their life or another... So just because people or other gods dont fit with you sensibilities is no reason to be insulting... I mean i would never ask you to engage in any such behavior nor would i want to myself BUT it is important that we do not judge" He walked with her, noticing the shadows that followed them seemed to thin out and he kept a close eye on the canopy of the trees "From everything we learned out here the spiders like to drop from the trees and run off with their prey.."

Solan smiled and was about to say something but he stopped suddenly and looked around. He pushed arianna away just before a spider the size of a large dog dropped where she had been standing. He struck out instinctively and blasted the spider into a mist "I think they know we're here..." He grabbed arianna off of the ground and began to run with her, leading her even deeper into the dark woods "...and its only gonna get worse from here. We need to find the heart of their nest and destroy the leaders..."

"Definately this way... they dont like overly bright places" He stopped dead and looked around, noticing the large webs hanging in the trees "this is what i was worried about" He drew his sword from the ether and summoned a burst of light, as it illuminated the darkness she could see in the darkness that they were surrounded by monsterous spiders.

"Oh hush little brother... why would you be worried about your own big sister?" A voice hissed from the darkness, it got closer until it revealed a massive creature with the torso and upper body of a beautiful woman clad in shining black chain armor who looked alittle like solan and the lower body of a massive black widow spider "I havent seen you since you murdered our father... I suppose you're looking for the wolves who were trespassing on my nest"

"We all know francine owns the woods and as such her children do as well... your realm is the dark below" He stood in front of arianna and projected his thoughts to her mind ~(Arianna... do you still have that black bladed dagger i gave to you? We may need to use it...)~

The spider-woman let out a screech and the spiders moved in closer, forming a tight circle around them "You are just like the others, trying to keep my children and i contained in those dark dismal caves... I am issuing challenge to you little brother, to the final death... if you are the victor you gain my mantle as god of the dark below, if i win i take your mantle as god of all war" She smiled at her brother as he nodded. She summoned a sickle from the ether with a gnarled black handle and a jagged oily looking black blade

He took the dagger from her hand and stuck it in the back of his belt as he turned to face his sister "Now little lillith... Are you ready to say hello to father for me?" He stepped towards her and she hissed, swinging her sickle expertly as she crouched down and Solan drew his sword. The blade went from shining gold to an oily black color as he took up his stance.

"i just wish i could be there to see the look on your face as you meet our father in the final death..." She charged forward, swinging hard and fast but he managed to duck past it and take a swing at her leg. the sickle struck his shoulder and he roared in pain as his own blade cut into her spindly spider legs.

He looked to arianna and held out his hand to stop her from interfering, through the hole in his armor she could see the wound had turned black and looked severly infected even after just being struck. Solan hissed in pain through his teeth and spun around taking a swing across lilliths stomach that caused her to rear back and scuttle backwards as a few of her larger children lept into the area of battle. Solan rolled his eyes and dispatched the first two easily before a third bit into his shoulder. He roared again as he fell to his knees and looked to arianna... ~(one last chance... fire a blast of energy directly at her head before she swings for my head...)~ the spider ripped the sword from his hand and it was tossed aside out of his reach. He pulled the dagger from his belt as his sister limped forward and raised her sickle to strike the killing blow.

Lillith began to heal immediately from the energy attack and solan threw the dagger, it cut her face but didnt stick as he had hoped. She raised her sickle again and swung down, just before the sweeping blade cut solans head free from his body the ground erupted and threw lillith, arianna and solan into the air. Out of the hole in the ground poured an army of living shadows that ripped and tore into the massive spider army. Mark stepped out of the dark cavern with his arm around his beautiful neko. Mark looked to solan and then to arianna before walking past them and drawing his own black bladed chinese broadsword and lept on lilliths back, swinging down hard and splitting her entire human torso with the sword in one strike. she screamed for a split second before falling to the ground and mark stole her mantle.

Mark walked up to solan and held his neko tightly and lovingly "I'm sorry my adoptive brother... but you and i both know that you'd be just as good a god to the black elves of the darkness as you have been a god of war" He chuckled as solan nodded

"Never really wanted either job really, just doing what i have to..." He stood up slowly and helped arianna to her feet. "So now you're god of music, night, the darkness below and the entire vampire population of the planet..."

"I do keep busy" Mark said with a smile as he kissed his neko "I even had time to find a queen in all this hussle and bussle... now all i need is a few heirs" he winked at the beautiful cat-girl as the living shadows finished the last of the spiders and took human form. they looked like a gang of angry young punks with obvious vampiric features. They freed the young pups who rushed back to their pack and that quickly everything was as it should have been.

Solan smiled and took ariannas hand, cleaning her dress and kissing her softly "Its usually not this exciting around here... hopefully its not too upsetting" He wrapped his arms around her and caressed her wing softly.
