Thank you for the well-wishes, Snowwhite Rose. XD I'll need it! I'll never save up any gold at the rate I'm going lately. LOL.

- Donated 314 gold to Some Random Randomness for his birthday.
- Purchased a Balloon from Hell for Maxiekun half just-because and half as a get-well-soon gift.
- Donated 100 gold to Candiie for a piece of art she gifted me with awhile back. Tips are love!

Must be a good girl and conserve money! Save, save, save! >:'

Sukki 03-15-2008 05:01 PM

*stalks*

I found your quest thread! XD Good luck! I should make one as well I suppose...must figure out what to quest for! ^^

CK 03-15-2008 08:01 PM

Ahaha - awesome Sukki! ;D Glad to have you here. :3

You should absolutely make a Quest thread. XD It's a good way to meet people. At least, people interested in goal-setting and goal-achieving. XD And Quest threads are generally full of chatter if you encourage it. XD Mine isn't just because I have specific topics (my Quest/Questing in general and Menewsha XD) - and probably also because I don't go out and be super-sociable. XD *hermit*

I wish you a lot of luck deciding what to Quest for. Muahaa. XD It can be difficult. XD

Sukki 03-17-2008 12:30 AM

I did, and you found it! Thank you so much for the winter items again! ^^

Eventually, I'll probably be questing for practically everything, but for now, just some stuff for an outfit and some items that caught my immediate attention. XD Ohh, I should probably find some items for a blue outfit to go with these items. =3

Paprika 03-17-2008 12:34 AM

Why hello CK, didnt notice your quest thread! :D Good luck on it!

Never fear with me here to post in it, it will never drop past page 1! ...unless no one talks to me cause i cant double post spam XD

CK 03-17-2008 02:05 AM

@Sukki - I did find it. XD And you're quite welcome again. ;3

Yeah - my front page that mentions all the shop commons I want doesn't even list some entire stores... @[email protected] And there are other items I would like at some point, just so I have more options... but I didn't list them simply because I don't desire them quite as much. @[email protected] And with new updates every month, I'd never have an accurate list. XD; Once I've finished most of my list, I'll take the time to 'restock' my wishlist. XD

And - yes! There are many items that look really well with those. :3 And not all of them are particularly expensive, either (especially when bought discount in the Exchange). ;3

@Paprika - XD I don't always post in it regularly, and I think it was on page two or three last I saw. XD So it's no wonder you missed it. ;3

Thanks! I'll need the luck. XD Hahaha. :D

Awesomesauce - I welcome having someone to talk to regularly in helping me reach my goals. XD If I miss a day to respond, it's probably because I got too busy to take the time to talk in it. XD But I do have it bookmarked, so I will check it regularly, at least. :3 And I'll try to drop by and keep yours active too (and Sukki's XD).

Quest Update
Haha... yeeeah... I think I'll officially temporarily 'retire' my Atlantis Quest, seeing as I won't have enough gold to pursue many of those items. XD The two male items, the trident and the mask (since votes are leaning heavily in the favor of getting it now. ;3) are the most expensive items in the set, and until the shorts and coat are repixeled for female bodies - I can't even wear them. ;O

Since it bothers my OCD to rename this thread with a holiday name when the holiday will officially pass in about 28 hours, give or take, I'll just leave my quest title as "Atlantis". Since that is more of an 'ultimate' goal. ^^

My temporary new Quest is to get 1,400 gold with which to purchase the two St. Patrick's Day '08 Top Hats and then another 900 gold to purchase seconds of the belts so I can sell them again on the market for a profit later. >:V

Today I purchased:
- Luck of the Irish
- Gold Claddagh belt
- Silver Claddagh belt
- Lucky Clover (pendant)

Looking forward to the new software. I could make this outfit look really nice if the Claddagh belt layered under the green kimono top like it does there. :V (At least I think it does there. I'll have to test it out with another belt since these aren't in the test server.)

Sukki 03-17-2008 02:27 AM

It was on page three when I found it again, I really had to search for a bit! XD

I think I may just quest items by outfits...just make an outfit and quest for the items I don't have for it, hopefully that will be less confusing than the other ways. =p *runs off to make an outfit*

Oh darn, and now I also need to purchase the St. Patty's day items! Well by April I should hopefully be making enough gold from fishing to have plenty of gold to purchase a few things. =3

You're right, it is hard with all these updates, you can't earn gold fast enough to keep up, but I suppose that's really what makes it fun! ^^

CK 03-17-2008 02:35 AM

Heehee. XD

Yeah - Questing by outfit or by theme is easier. XD When you have a whole huge list, it's a bit more difficult to know where you want to begin!

You could go after the rare items first - since their supply is limited, that means they'll increase in value... And whenever we have population surges, that value can rise steeply!

...But the problem with that method is that so very little of it is actually clothing! So you run around in cool accessories, but almost no clothes. XD;

Yes - don't forget to purchase at least one or two of those items. XD They won't be quite as rare as the St. Patrick's Day '07 items, but since they're a bit expensive and they are limited, they will increase in value. XD;

Yeah... It's difficult if you don't purchase the monthly Contribution Items and sell them on the Exchange or do commissions in gold to purchase everything you want really quickly. XD If I ever start doing commissions again for money, I'll probably use the money on my paypal account to purchase CIs for resale. :B There are simply too many items I want! :o

But at least I'll never be without something to Quest for. XD

Sukki 03-17-2008 02:40 AM

I would have to start purchasing 40 CI items every month and selling them in order to get one of every item on the site I think. XD

I may go after the panda slippers first...since they're adorable I'm sure they're already in huge demand. Actually, I should probably work on the St. Patrick's Day items first, since like you said, they are limited, then maybe a little dress to cover myself, and then probably the panda slippers. Then comes all the rest, lots of clothes. XD

I wonder if I could get myself to draw some art and maybe earn a small bit of gold that way every once in a while. I'm no great artist, but any little bit would help. ^^ I'm definitely not up to selling for real money. xD

CK 03-17-2008 03:32 AM

From what I hear... there are people who actually do that. XD; I don't know if I want to spend 100 dollars USD on pixels, but if someone else does... Well, they're what pays for the site to exist in the first place. X3

But - yes! I think the slipper set is the Contribution Item set that increased in value the quickest... They went from around 650 gold for the set in around early November to about 1,500 gold each around Christmas. @[email protected]; I guess fewer sets of those sold than there is demand to meet it!

XD And I do think going for the 2008 St. Patrick's Day items first would be best, seeing as you can obtain those pretty easily. :3 Then the slipper set. (With a dress or other item or two of clothing somewhere in there. XD) Because the slipper set will always be expensive and possibly a difficult goal to reach... From signatures and titles of Exchange and Quest threads, I'm guessing people are having troubles finding sellers now. @[email protected];

Artists of all skill levels make pretty regular sales here. XD That's because what prices you can command with your skills will fit the budget of different people who want art. XD Banner-making and dream avatar making are also sellers. XD And never underestimate the power of contests. (You might want to check out the Art Contest subforums and see what they have prize-wise. :3 )

Paprika 03-17-2008 03:34 AM

Fwee, activeness. CK my outfit is almost done! :D wuwu skirt/wingies !

And i like the one you have on right now o:

Sukki 03-17-2008 03:41 AM

Oooh...that almost makes me want to try to get the slippers before clothes though if it's so hard to find sellers...but if I can afford extra of the St. Patricks Day items, it might be possible to use them later on to get the DI's...*plots* @[email protected] Hmmm, also if there is less demand then it might be easier to find a seller.

I can't believe someone would spend that much at once...possibly over time, if they had the money for it, but 100 bucks right now is about 4 weeks of food for me...and personally I'd rather spend it on food. =3

Okay so my order of items purchased will be one of each St. Patricks item, and maybe a couple of extras just in case, then a dress, maybe some shoes and little accessories. =0

THEN the slippers. xD By that time hopefully a few people will be selling. =0

I should definitely see if I can open an art shop later on then...I have no idea what I could charge for my art on here though, so I'd have to figure that out, but I'm sure there's someplace I can get suggestions on it...*too lazy to go check it out right now* When I do that I will also go check out the art contests. Maybe I'll get lucky and win one then, or place. =3

Paprika 03-17-2008 03:43 AM

I'm definitely saving up for the rest of the St.Ps day items...only going for one of each though. I definitely cant make that much money before the event is over to buy more than one of each or if i can well i dunno...x.x

Sukki 03-17-2008 03:45 AM

There's almost a month to get all of the items, just make lots of big beefy posts that earn you 10g each, and fish a lot maybe? @[email protected] I hope I'll be able to get at least one of each, and if not, I'll just make sure I purchase the ones I like the most first. xD

Doki-sama 03-17-2008 08:38 AM

I wish you the best of Luck with your Quest!

Paprika 03-18-2008 11:39 PM

/saves this thread from page 6

Fwee, hi guys. :O

CK 03-19-2008 01:13 AM

Yikes - it fell to page six in a day and a half? D: The Quest forum is way more active than I had ever imagined. XD Thanks Paprika!

Sorry it took me so long to respond! Between the software switch and some up-and-coming events to discuss, plus my usual day-to-day checking out and responding to forum posts in the Information Desk, Site Feedback and Community Discussions forums, I didn't take the time to post here. XD;

@Paprika - Awesome. XD That's really cool. :3 I'll have to go check our your Quest thread to see how you did that so fast. XD It's impressive!

@Sukki - I'd say... keep an eye out for slipper sellers. If they're selling at a decent price, it wouldn't hurt to see if they'd be willing to hold them for you while you get together the rest of the gold. XD; The number of people who want the slipper set will always be increasing, while those willing to sell will usually be decreasing...

But never fear... I have seen them offered as contest prizes. And the "Giving Back" auctions may start getting them. It'll probably be a matter of being at the right place at the right time. XD

But, yeah... I wouldn't doubt that purchasing the St. Patrick's Day items now would be a good investment for the future. :3 At the very least, you can sell them back for what you purchased them for, if you need the gold right away. And if you hold onto them for awhile, the value will increase. XD Quickly or slowly depending on future demand and actual supply.

*rambles*

Yeah - for me to spend $100 USD a month on contribution items, I would have to be making three or four times what I do now with the same amount of living expenses. XD If I get my public relations internship, that could be possible in less than a year from now, but I don't know how likely. XD; I don't have to purchase my own food, thankfully, unless I go out to eat. But $100 a month would go a hell of a long way towards that new computer I want, gas expenses, rent I pay to my parents; etc. I could think of a dozen more things I spend my money on. XD;

There's a sub-forum in "Art Discussions" that gives pricing assistance on art, if you haven't found it yet. XD

I'm trying to get things together to tempt people into entering an art contest of my own. I just need to think more about what I'm going to do. :'

@Paprika - I dunno - I think you could do it, if you really wanted. XD I think I'm going to give up on my goal to have two of each St. Patrick's '08 items. I'm in the middle of negotiations to get a second raven/dove headwing set for my future art contest, and that'll put me back to square one insofar as purchasing the hats. XD; I can probably still manage to get at least one of the hats - if not both - before they're out of stock, though. XD *determined face*

@Sukki - That's what I did. XD I got the gold belt and clover first. Then the silver belt. I was going to get the gold and then silver hat. :' These are also intended to be art contest prizes. :X

@Doki-Sama - Thanks so much! :3 I'll do my best. :D

Wooo! Finished this post, finally. XD Off to go poke quest threads. XD

whitebeast 03-19-2008 01:33 AM

Ne, ne... CK.

You want the coat as well? The one just for the boys to wear?

CK 03-19-2008 01:38 AM

@Whitebeast - Yeah... I think I do. *dies*

Probably what will happen if I wait long enough is that the Atlantis coat will be repixeled to fit a female. But I may not be patient enough to wait for that. And I can always give the male Atlantis coat to my mule. XD

Mama Juru 03-19-2008 06:16 AM

*drives the spam bus through, egg smeared across the windshield and starts shooting spam balls at CK*

OH NOES!!! A Drive by spamming!!!!

CK 03-19-2008 06:44 AM

LOL. DRAT. She found me! *dive for cover* D<

*waits until the coast is clear to clear away spam balls* >_>

Paprika 03-19-2008 06:46 AM

Blah, i want to use gold on fishing but i need to save up for my silver event set!! /crycry

CK 03-20-2008 03:51 AM

Paprika - You should totally invest in the fishing game. XD It'll make you money for the set! And you have until April 13th to buy the items. XD

Let's call it 24 days left for you to purchase them..... Even assuming you only made 50 gold profit every day from the fishing game, that's 1,200 gold from fishing alone. XD Let alone posting on the same day. :3

That almost gets you two hats. XD

Paprika 03-21-2008 10:02 PM

I really should start fishing more, when do you actually start making a profit off of it ::insert question mark here, stupid broken keyboard::

CK 03-22-2008 12:44 AM

You should start making a profit anytime after your fourth day fishing... Apparently the average is your fifth or sixth day fishing, but I swear I started on day four. XD;

Fishing is a weird beast, though. I'm up to around 3300 experience points and have only made about 50 gold profit the last two days. :c But a few days before that I was almost making 200 gold in profit! >_<! Fickle, fickle creature!
