The Wandering Poet 12-19-2008 11:52 PM

So how is eveybody? Anyone else got a lot of snow?

Alexis Durem 12-20-2008 01:52 AM

I did, but then again so did all of Western NY

The Wandering Poet 12-20-2008 02:35 AM

Western Washington here... got like 5-6 inches or so =D

Alexis Durem 12-20-2008 02:46 PM

That's cool. Here i don't know how much we got in inches, but the anow is up to my knees. What's funny is that it's almost all from the storm.

The Wandering Poet 12-25-2008 06:06 PM

OMG It wont stop snowing!!! >.< I'm going to get sick of snow if this goes on much longer... we had 10 inches last I checked last night and huge flakes are falling >.<

Had a huge wind storm a few days ago too... gave us snow dunes XD

CK 12-28-2008 04:06 AM

Why is it that I let myself get into the habit of letting this thing go unposted into for ages until the conversations I'm reading when I scroll back do not spark a, "oh yes, we were talking about..." recall? D:

So lazy. Refuse to scroll back. :V

No snow for me. ;____;

It was 70-something F here today. D:< I wanted snow! Damn!

The Wandering Poet 01-04-2009 07:33 AM

Ouch... well best of luck next storm XD

Alexis Durem 01-05-2009 01:55 AM

Hey! Anyone here?

CK 01-05-2009 08:55 AM

XD When is there anyone in my thread? LOL. I don't use it much more than Jurupamae uses hers. XD

And, as it happens... it's storming right now. >____> But rain, not snow.

Rosebleed 01-05-2009 09:00 AM

Ohh well we've got snow here, CK :lol:
Although, >.> The rain is coming down now. Washing it away. :( so sad.

Well, your here now! And the weather here is pretty good. It was raining last night, though.

CK 01-05-2009 09:07 AM

@Rosebleed:
Awww... rain should not wash away snow in winter! That's unAmerican! ... owait. >_> Carry on then. XD ::joking, obviously:;

@Alexis:
XD Off and on, yeah. Just sort of wandering around, trying not to fall asleep because of the rain. D:

Glad the weather's nice for you, though. :3

Ah, i see. Rain tends to make people sleepy for some reason.

CK 01-05-2009 09:15 AM

Yeah. :3 It's something to do with the melatonin levels or something. >_> Some people get really excited by thunderstorms, though. All the electricity in the air. I generally prefer to curl up someplace warm and comfy and listen. XD

Alexis Durem 01-05-2009 09:19 AM

Me, too. And yeah, your body produces melatonin when it has a lack of sunlight, making you sleepy. The darkness created by rainstorms makes your body thinks it's night and produce more melatonin.

CK 01-05-2009 09:24 AM

And the monotony of the sound of rain just helps. XD

Rosebleed 01-05-2009 09:27 AM

Your right, it is very un-american but it is so very english :lol:
I hate winter sometimes >.>

Alexis Durem 01-05-2009 09:28 AM

So true. But then again, it really doesn't help that it's the middle of the night, either. At least it is for me.

CK 01-05-2009 10:05 AM

XD I really want to visit England one day.... but not during the winter, I do not think. XD It's been a very long time since I've experienced a winter in a higher part of the globe than the southern part of the US. And several of my late teens/early 20s winters had a few weeks in Southern California too. (As southern as you can get, as it was San Diego. LOL.) >_> I was 9 or 10 the last time I experienced a European winter. D: I'd probably die. XD

Yeah, it's very-early-morning for me. 4am. :B

Rosebleed 01-05-2009 08:21 PM

Lol xDD We get fairly mild winters... theyre just... um.. Wet? :lol:
Saying that, the last two summers were nothing to yell about, I live in the southeast, we're supposed to get the best weather out of the whole of the uk. Ha. winters and summers the last two years have just merged because the summer was so terrible. >.>

I'm so going to move somewhere less wet once I've saved some dosh.

CK 01-06-2009 02:14 AM

Oh yeah? Then that's not so bad, then! I don't mind mild or wet winters... It's just the very cold that I'm not so much in favor of. I just want the snow without the cold. >_>

Sorry, but they're kindof a package deal ^^ Then again, you have the places where it alternates between snowing and cold one day to 50 degrees the next.

Rosebleed 01-06-2009 02:09 PM

well last night it reched -5celc >.> So I take back the whole mild winter shizzle. :lol:

CK 01-07-2009 05:47 AM

D:< I jinxed your mild winter, Rosebleed! Sorry! DX

And not necessarily, re: it has to be really cold with snow... I mean, it has to be cold, but it doesn't have to be bitingly cold... >_>
