Hellboy 2: the golden army

http://movies.clevver.com/video/1267...-trailer-1.php

Ok, trailer is THERE! Go watch it and tell me how friggin awesome this movie looks, i mean seriously this could actually wind up being better than the first one. I'm glad hollywood finally has the superhero movie worked out... it used to be they'd throw the audience in the middle of a story and then toss in alittle backstory if they could. Now they understand, watching "Batman" with micheal keaton they just assumed we all knew about batman and just tossed the basics in there for people who didnt know. Watching "Batman begins they got it right. a nice long origin story to build up the character, thats what all superhero movies need. A movie JUST to explain the origin and to have a decent adventure and then the rest of the movies you can just cut loose and have fun with the characters that are already established.

Hellboy 2 looks even more visually impressive than the first one, the villians are creepier and more intimidating, the heroes look as good as ever... this also means there will probably be a few more of the animated movies flying around soon. Who knew that this franchise would be so damn good for the entertainment industry?

Chidori 01-29-2008 09:20 PM

i havent seen any commercials yet but soon

Eileanora 01-29-2008 09:42 PM

oooh wow, you were right, this one looks really really good XD now there's another movie to watch in july lol
you can tell that it's the same director from pan's labyrinth, similar creature design, i love that =]

but on another note, i really liked tim burton's batman XP maybe that's just because i read the comics lol. but i am very excited for the dark knight to be released.

My first word of this movie came from the display they had at the theaters. As soon as I saw it I had to point it out. Can't wait to get to go and see it.

davyjoneslover 01-29-2008 10:17 PM

I saw a display at the cinemas, this looks AWESOME, mind you I haven't seen the first one lol. I like the bad guy with the white hair and white skin, he looks cool.

Seiki Nova 01-29-2008 11:14 PM

I didn't really like the first one, and this one didn't quite appeal to me.

katyasha 01-30-2008 01:06 AM

I'm a huge fan of HELLBOY and I can't wait for the movie.

MasterChiefrei 01-30-2008 03:31 AM

I didn't even know they were making a sequel! O.o But I'm definitely going to see that movie. >w< It does look really good and a bit more danger/action packed than the first.
I did like the fact that Batman Begins told the back story for Bruce Wayne for those who weren't obsessive fans *raises hand* and knew the story by heart. But I still have a lot more love for the Tim Burton movies of Batman since Jack Nicholson was perfect for the Joker and Danny DeVito made a good penguin *if not the best*.
But I'm looking for to the Dark Knight as well.

Eileanora 01-30-2008 05:08 AM

i was the same way, i didn't know that there was going to be a sequel until i saw the banners hanging in the theater the other day xDD

Wynna 01-30-2008 02:46 PM

It looks really good. I really liked the first one so hopefully the sequel will be just as good.

Sisely 02-03-2008 07:04 AM

Awesome XD I just love the first one so I'll definitely go see the second!

Cable Induced Coma 02-04-2008 01:35 AM

I watched the first one like..forever ago. So I don't really remember it that much. I don't think I liked it though..so I probably won't be going to see it.

rockin904 07-01-2008 06:55 AM

It took a while but Hellboy is back!

Well, it took quite a while for the Hellboy sequel but it is finally coming out July 11th simply titled: Hellboy II: The Golden Army. I'll probably go see it and hopefully come back with positive reviews. Will you go see it and what do you think about this sequel?

Angel Naomi 07-01-2008 06:56 AM

I wanna go see it :D It definitely looks interesting.

Fauxreal 07-13-2008 01:27 PM

I went to go see it opening day - matinee showing.

I would like to say that I thought the Preview made it look way more ethereal than the movie actually was. Not that I didn't like it - but still.

I'm not going to post any spoilers so - no worries.

The visuals really are amazing. Real puppets and minatures and models were used and I think it addes SO MUCH! to a film when they don't do everything CGI post production!!! *I don't care for CGI much*
- Lord of the Rings - not bad cgi
- Jurrasic Park - right on... !
- most other movies that try.... Fail.... a lot.

All in all I'm glad I went to go see it. ;)

Lissi 07-14-2008 12:08 PM

We went to see it this past weekend and I enjoyed it! I loved all the creatures - very well done. :)

sammi724 07-14-2008 04:34 PM

I went to see it opening day. The movie was funny. The action was good enough. The story was well told and I hope it won't take too long for the 3rd Hellboy to this trilogy to come out.

xBUMBLEBEExTF 07-15-2008 08:27 PM

I've always been a Hellboy Fan and i thought this movie was FRIECKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!! I loved eveything about it!

MaskedDream 07-16-2008 07:51 AM

I don't know about anyone else but I thought this movie was awesome. It was a little to umm what do I want to say umm Family oriented. Just a little to much sappy I don't know what to do type things how should I tell him but over all it was awesome and hilarious. Abe and hellboy get drunk. ^.^ come on XD Oh and the monsters and things like that were amazing. They are so creative. Some so majestic and beautiful and the others ugly and disgusting. It was perfect. You could tell who was a good guy and a bad guy just by the way they looked it was truly magnificent.

MirukuKuroNeko 07-16-2008 11:46 PM

OMFG!!!!!i was awesome!!!!!
it had alot more comedy then the first one, but it was so awesome.
i have nothing bad to say about it.
(i went to the midnight show)
ron perlman and selma blair did a most excellent job.
but it sucks that they got rid of the guy who did abe's voice, i liked him better in the last film,(not being negative, just saying)
I LOVED THIS FILM!!!!!

Stormy1 07-17-2008 04:39 AM

I've never seen the first one and wasn't too happy that I was pulled into seeing Hellboy2, but I winded up enjoying it more then I thought I would. The Character's were well developed and interesting enough that I wasn't bored. All in all it was a good movie.

Miss_Ericka_Court 07-23-2008 07:06 AM

Wow, that trailer looked pretty awesome! Me and my boyfriend are going to go this weekend and see Hellboy 2. I'm excited because this movie looks great. I really like the first one so hopefully this one won't disappoint.

xnarnian 08-05-2008 07:25 PM

I didn't see the first one, but I enjoyed the second one. It was real cute that they are gonna have twins. : D

Verisimility 08-05-2008 08:53 PM

I really enjoyed Hellboy II.
It was great to see them bring in al this mythology, while continuing with the personal stories of all the characters...
I think it was extremely well done.
The cinematography and the special effects were amazing.

I loved the creativiy that was put into this movie. I seen it twice due to my friends wanted to go because our other movie was sold out, and second because my brother didn't want to see any other movie. I never seen Helboy before, so I wasn't sure if I would understand it. But they gave enough infomation for even me, a newcomer to get it. Anyways I loved the story line, but in some parts I really couldn't stand to watch.

One of my favorite scenes would have to be the part where the two guys were singing. :D Very halirious. Anyways I'd rate this movie 7.5/10. A movie worth seeing, even if you were forced to see it twice. :XD
