Okay. So on my vacations (school), I'm usually productive. xD Sometimes we go shopping at Wal-Mart and sometimes I bake a LOT, and sometimes I just spend it all with family, and sometimes I sleep for a day or two just to catch up on sleep. Then I draw sometimes too. xD
But some people, you'll hear someone ask them.."OHAY GAIZ, WHAT'D YOU DO OVER VUHKAYSHIN?" and they'll be all.."Oh um..watched TV and had a friend over for a day." Is that REALLY what you did on vacation? "Yes." Fuck. "Uhh...? O_O" What do you guys do on vacation? Have you ever completely WASTED a vacation by doing zippo? Did you burn yourself out and when it came time to go back to school, you couldn't help but fight to stay awake during it? I remember on one vacation, I pulled 2 all nighters. And I stayed up till about 1AM on nights that WEREN'T all nighters. <3 Most vacations, I help clean house though. xD And spend a SHITLOAD of time with family. OHELLZYEAH! |
I'm generally not very productive when I don't have school. I'll work for some cash and maybe see the friends a few times... But that's really it. Nothing really note-worthy or special.

At school I always went away, saw castles, roller bladed, rode my bike, went to theame parks and such. At college and now I work full time I either go down to London or my boyfriend visits me. In June though I'll be going to America.

On vacations, I just spend a lot of time reading and hanging out with my bf. :] There's not really too much to do around here. That's also the time to catch up on h/w and projects for me. xD |
Sometimes I quite like doing nothing in particular.
So I don't consider it wasted time, just relaxing time. Well I'm never doing nothing, I'm always at least breathing, then there's food to be made and eaten, drinks to be had, dog to be fed and walked, chickens to feed and let out, calls to be answered, internet to explore, laundry mountain to sort out... Nothing sounds productive enough for me :shock: |
Yep, I pretty much waste mine because I have nothing to do. Hell I'm wasting this week at home too since my exams are over. I really don't know what I want to do. I should start learning to cook but I'm lazy. =w=;;

I thought the point of vacations was relaxing? Doing nothing sounds pretty relaxing. xD
I don't really consider anything a vacation unless I'm away from home. That week off of school that I stay home I never really considered vacation. A vacation is getting away, to me. Going somewhere new, hanging out with friends, seeing the country, all that jazz. So it's not wasted. As for the vacations where you don't go anywhere, but don't have any place to be, I pretty much waste those. Pointless stuff like sleeping, watching the clouds roll by, tv-watching, game-playing, and surfing the net take up most of my time. |
I never do ANYTHING on vacation( except this coming spring break. I'm going to europeee!)
I usually spend time drawing(and on menewsha ^^) and listening to music. and somehow my room gets very messy from me doing that. |
Well it's vacation. I can totally understand why they don't wanna do anything. This Christmas Vacation I went to the movies with my friends on the first day and then slept over at one of my friend's house. After that I just did things with my family like on christmas eve, christmas, my aunt's birthday, and my cousin and I's birthday party. When I do productive things it means I got more songs on Guitar Hero III or I played Final Fantasy for an hour and a half. We actually went to the mall everyday on Christmas Vacation except for like Christmas and my cousin and I's birthday party. Really I didn't even go with my friends so I hated the mall for quite sometime. But on Summer Vacation there's a party or two at the beginning and then I go to the beach. Then there's my other cousin's birthday and then the other beach. I go swimming a few times and go to the mall like 2 times a week. Not that great.

I normally waste my vacations every year and I beat myself up over it every time! But last time, I did not waste my vacation. I spent 2 weeks in Italy! And that was cooler than all the vacations I've had combined xD

I used to go out quite a bit, but now during school holidays, all I do is homework, or think about doing homework D;

my summer vacations used to be like this:
me, alone for two months. no trips, no friends. no shopping. I stayed inside because there wasn't really much to do outside, and I hate the sun and it hates me back (burns me). I played on my computer. I drawed a lot. yep. pretty boring, huh? I was among those who actually missed the school -.- I hated summer vacations.. |
yeah, uh, whenever i had a vacation, i would pretty much do nothing xD only because of the fact that my parents would usually be working, and/or my friends wouldn't be able to go out, or were out of town >.>
so a lot of times my breaks were very very boring, and because of that, they always seem to go by slowly xD but there were the odd occasions where i did have things to do, which would result in a fast/short break. |
My vacations usually involve me either staying home and doing absolutely nothing and wishing i had something exciting to do, or traveling around with my parents and wishing i was back at home with my friends. Usually it's a combination of both. Being away for a bit, then being at home for a bit, then going away again...

Most vacations I spend with family and friends. Mostly friends because they are my life.

I don’t get vacations all too often. I’m working most the time. Last vacation was over a year ago and I went down to the mountains and went rafting and stuff like that. It was with my family. Next time I have time off I plan on visiting my husband.

What do you guys do on vacation? I usually visit my dad, step-mom, and step-sisters. If there is extra time on vacation, which there practically always is, I'll go out to one of my aunts' beach cottages in North Carolina. Occasionally, we'll visit SeaWorld, Disney Land, etc., etc.
Have you ever completely WASTED a vacation by doing zip? Well, last summer, I was bummed because we were supposed to visit my dad, but my parents couldn't agree on a good day to fly on, so we didn't visit his house. Nor did we by the end of the disagreement have enough time to visit North Carolina or anywhere else far away. Afterwards, my mother felt sorry for me and my sister and planned on going to Cedar Pointe. Sadly, on the day of the expected trip to there, my little brother got sick and we couldn't make it. Did you burn yourself out and when it came time to go back to school, you couldn't help but fight to stay awake during it? I always do that, what're you kidding?! xD I'm always on a different sleeping schedule, and it takes a couple of weeks to catch up. |
I usually work doubletime everyday during vacations because I have nothing else to do. So, I usually work and get some extra cash.

Vacation is totally the time for sitting around in your jammies and relaxing! My boyfriend is one of those get-out-and-do-stuff vacation people, but I just like to catch up on all the stuff I don't get much time for at school - watching DVDs, reading, playing games and such. I do love to travel, but I like to save that for longer vacations, like Christmas or summer, when I can travel for a week and still have a week or more for staying home and relaxing.

I do very little over vacation too. To me the whole point of vacation is to relax, not to cram it full of activities. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had money to go places though, who knows. I usually do clean a bit over vacation though, and do other things that make my life easier when vacations over.

Vacation to me is, quality time with my bed :D I mean it takes up a big portion of my room, shouldn't it be important? Of Course! Important enough for me to sleep in everyday and when I feel like it, naps!!
Vacations are supposed to be fun, so I do what I love, sleeping, eating, playing, and doing absolutely nothing. I'm not the kind of person to fill up their agenda with hours of sight seeing or shopping. A good day at home is a day well spent. Strangely when VACA is over, I regret not doing this and that so I make plans that next VACA or break that swings around will be full of re-organizing my life, exercising more, and doing more with my life. HA yea right XP Hope there are alot more people like me out there , that way I won't feel like a loser XD |
Usually I have one interesting thing to report during vacation/weekend time. Adventuring through Wal-Mart with my bros and messing with random stuff *never actually making a mess* is one odd thing since we do it late at night. XD Sometimes we drive around or hunt for paranormal stuff *now that I have a voice recorder and my bro has a digi camera*, do stunts off the front porch and down the street, get glow sticks and "party boy" in random places, etc. So...usually we don't have a dull vacation/weekend but if we do it's because we're comatose the whole time. XD

Back when I was in high school and such, I always "wasted" my vacations, because I didn't have the money to actually do anything, and I didn't have a car to go anywhere. So I'd go out bike-riding with friends, or sit in front of the computer all day. That's all I really could do, everything considered. I always hated vacation time for that reason.
Now I just work, so my vacations mean I'm actually going somewhere or doing something important. I have a vacation coming up in May for a weekend, because I'm going out to Fanime with my best friend. That's probably the only vacation I'll get this year, haha. |
Pfft, I always spend my vacations watching TV non-stop and chatting on the computer 8)
I have no life really, apart from those sacred days where I get to spend time with friends. <3 My mother nags me a lot about how I'm wasting my valuable time away, and I totally agree. Not that i really care D; |
