Leap Year
Hey ya all,
So, this February this time is a leap year. So, I was wondering how many of ya all out there were born on leap year (Feb 29)? As for myself I was not. |
I was not born on the leap year but I always thought it would be so cool to be. You could only technically celebrate your birthday once every four years! x]
|
Ooooh! I didn't know that. XD
I was wondering for the longest time why it said Feb 1~29 on the front page... >.>; |
Yeh, but the only thing with celebrating it every four years not as much gifts.
|
I wasn't born on February 29th but there is this couple who are friends of my parents who got married on the 29th of February.
|
i've always wondered about how people born on a leap year would celebrate when it wasn't a leap year; on Feb. 28th or Mar 1st?

My mom was born in February, but not the 29th... I don't know anybody who was born on a leap year. But the news always talks about multiple births on that date.

I never heard of anyone getting married on Feb 29. I wonder if they celebrate the day before or the day after.
|
I only found out this year was a Leap Year when I saw the banner for this month's contribution items. :lol:

My cousins were born on February 29th.
They're also twins. They are freaks of nature. XD I think they celebrate on the 28th, but I've never really asked... |
I'm not born in February, but I know someone who was born on February 29. He usually celebrates on the 28th when it's not a leap year.
|
Oooh. So the 2 people that know of people who are born on the 29th say that they celebrate on the 28th.
I've always wondered, so I'm happy that someone answered. :) |
*question answered*
**now happy** |
I was born in February, but not the 29th. I used to think it would be cool if I wasn't born until the 29th instead, but my birth year wasn't a leap year. XD
Anyone I know who was born then or knows someone who was born then usually celebrates it on the 28th. ^^ |
Whoa, it's a leap year already? @[email protected] I feel old now. Years are going fast and days are going slow for me.
I had a friend whose mother was only 11 or 12 technically because her birthday was on the 29th. It was funny because my friend was going to be older than her soon :P |
I have a friend born on the 29th of February, and she celebrates on the 28th.
she's the youngest old person i know. |
I actually find it quite sad for people who were born on Feb. 29th.. :/ I mean, they would have to celebrate their birthdays before of after the real day they were born on... and they can only celebrate their real birthday every four years. ><;
|
Really? I always forget about leap years, how often they come up, and what year they are >>;;
I've actually met someone born in a leap year, except she's not 100% sure she was born in February 29 because the hospital she was born in tends to screw birthdates, something about they screwed up her brother's birthday yet they remember his birthday. So, she's always says things like "I'm not sure when my birthday is, before we were thinking it was the 29th, but now we think it might've been the 28th of February..." and everyone just kind of stared at her like "how do you forget your own birthday?" : / |
I found out recently that a new friend of mine was born on the 28th of February. We agreed that it would be way cooler if she were born a day later, because then I'd be older than her. 8D
Well, the reasons for it being cool were different. I just can't remember them? XD |
Oh I was pushing, even though I was born in 91, My birthday is the 28th. I'm still basically waiting a month for my birthday nonetheless. Oh if I was then I would be like four instead of turning 17.
|
I wasnt but my friend was born feb 14. =o
[Well were not really friends anymore...] I was born August 26, almost the 29th of a different month. x3 |
