Is it, i didn't know it was this year.

Jaded Geisha 02-03-2008 02:51 AM

Oh man... I hope I have a Leap baby! It would be soooo cool! Heh infact, when I start trying for kids I'm planning on trying my best to get pregnant at a time when I have a chance of giving birth on leap year! Oh sure the kid would probably be bummed about the fact that their birthday only comes about once every four years (Though I would celebrate it's birthday every year on the 28th...) but when they got older and could say that "Hey I'm only 16!" On their 64th birthday I'm sure they'll be happy!

Hm, I never actually pay attention to when it is a leap year or not, but it is good to know this year happens to be one!
It is funny that people born on leap years would be much younger than they actually are if you count the number of actual birthdays they have had.

Takouro Oni 02-03-2008 12:09 PM

Im not but my friend is, She just celebrates it on the 1st of march.

Sun 02-03-2008 01:50 PM

I don't think i was born in a leap year. I only know of one person who was born on 29th Febuary, he being a college peers brother.

Canni 02-03-2008 03:09 PM

It'd be horrible to be born on leap year. I was born far aways from then; May 20th. It'd be like being called a 4 year old at 16. >>;

kitkat 02-03-2008 05:48 PM

my old friend was born on the 29th, she celebrates her
birthday the 28th

x-Snuffy 02-03-2008 05:54 PM

I had a friend who was born on the 29th. O_O
She was weird too. x_x

Leona of the Zodiac 02-03-2008 06:21 PM

I am not myself. Nope, proud Leo here. I always think of this really old 80's movie when I think about leap year. In it, the pirate prince was born upon a leap year day, and thusly only four years old.

It was a really cornball movie, but a lot of fun. I will not say anymore for fear of giving too much away though. :3

Dystopia 02-03-2008 06:25 PM

I'm not, and I don't know anyone who was.

I always wondered about being born during the leap year. Do you celebrate only when there's another leap year? Do you tell people that you're two when you look like a teenager or something? And what about birthday parties?

Takuto 02-03-2008 06:48 PM

(My soon to be nephew is supposedly due on the 29th of February. My sister is hoping that it does not happen to him.)

I always thought it was cool to be born on a leap year. All of your friends would be twelve while you were still three. I know some people who were born on leap year. It must be fun to be able to decide when you want your birthday to be on the first of March or the 28th of February. Talk about being special. xD.

Professor Lily 02-07-2008 09:18 PM

Wow, from what I see most of the people celebrate their birthday on Feb 28th eventhough a few celebrate on March 1st. Must be nice to decide when to have your birthay. Hope you all have a great birthday whenever you have it.

Admonish Misconstruction 02-07-2008 10:00 PM

My friend was borne on the 29th xD.

Well actually they switched to the 28th because he was borne at 2:00 AM but they changed it by a few hours xD.

I wonder though, do you only get a year older every four years? I'm wondering what you do..

[L]ove[H]ate 02-07-2008 11:38 PM

I know someone who was born on leap year. He celebrates his birthday on the 28th though. It's funneh because my friends and I are like your fake birthday is on the 28th and your real, legal birthday is on the 29th. Technically, he's going on four years old, but really he is going on sixteen years old. haha

mystic kiwi 02-08-2008 10:02 AM

I wasn't and don't know anyone who was, but I think it would be cool. Knowing me, I probably wouldn't celebrate unless it was the 29th though.

Javert 02-08-2008 01:41 PM

No, I wasn't. But it would be kind of neat to be born on a leap year- people born on leap years only get a year older every four years. When people born on a normal day are 80, they're only 20. They're lucky. :)

YumeNoGaara 02-11-2008 04:16 PM

My aunt was born on the 29th so she's technaicaly only on her 13th birthday XD

Renchan 02-11-2008 04:23 PM

I wasn't, and I wouldn't know how to celebrate it either. XD I think it would look weird on your passport, too.

Tracy 02-11-2008 04:34 PM

if i were born on a leap year, i'd be all "omg! this is only my sixth birthday. i'm so young!" xD

Striped Chocolate 02-11-2008 10:20 PM

My little sister is born on leap year.
My parents consider her be lucky. She's even more lucky that she was born in the year of 2000.

Maria-Minamino 02-11-2008 10:27 PM

I wasn't born on a leap year. But they always through me off. lol - my time schedule gets thrown off. XD But it's cool because they only happen once every four years!

Winter Wind 02-11-2008 11:26 PM

I didn't even KNOW this year was a leap year.
x]
Damn.
I feel stupid.

Ohwell.
LEAP YEARS are awesome.
Sucks for whoever is going to be born on the 29th this year.
x___x"
I mean...ouch, a birthday every four years. xD
I wish I was born on a leapyear.
xDDDD
That'd be AWESOME, I'd have a birthday party at midnight. xD

IshokuOsero 02-11-2008 11:35 PM

I wasn't born on a leap year, but I know someone who was.
She always says her age is however many leap years there have been since she was born, rather than her actual age. I can't remember at this point how old she is though. Dx *bad friend*

dianakitsune 02-11-2008 11:37 PM

I'm not, but I know someone who is and they're in college, but turning 5 this year XD

orgasm 02-12-2008 01:20 AM

uhm no. but it would be kind of cool to be? i mean actually it would suck, but than again it would be awesome to be.
