oh wow, I never knew meat was at the very top :(
lol according to that pyramid I have horrible eating habits. I mainly eat junk ;-; Like meat/Candy/Popcorn/Ice Cream/Cookies but I also eat alot of fruits :) So thats good... right? lol but the good thing is that because of my metabolism (sp?) I can eat alot and not gain alot of weight :D |
What ever happened to the basic food groups? I exercise daily but, that guide is too hard to follow. I do eat a lot of vegetables and I love nuts but, I also love potatoes and rice and sweets.

Oh my, I have a very unhealthy diet then! I am Filipino so my family eats white rice with every meal. And since we're crazy carnivores, we eat a lot of meat every meat. I've been trying to eat less meat though. <<;
And I can't eat dairy products because it makes my tummy feel yucky. ): |

...xD; You know, they changed it again. >.< Current one: http://www.mypyramid.gov/ xP I think I prefer the one that you put up. D: The newer one's strange looking. My diet is sadly totally unhealthy. xD; I eat alot of sweets and hardly any healthy food, but my metabolism makes up for it. xD; |
there's another new one O_o..that's not cool..
|
Haha that food pyramid song is funny. Yeahh I'm not a healthy eater. I'll try somedays to fit some more fruit/vegetables in but that's only some days. xD
|
Its changed a ton..
Healthy eater? I eat fruits, really only salad and carets as veggies but overall with my distribution of food is.. Bellow par.. But I see they have exercise on the pyramid now so theres something I get! XD |
Seriously? That's... weird. I thought fruits and vegetables were going to be at the bottom of the pyramid. Why are oils there? o__O I'm not changing my eating habits to fit with what America says is healthy. Most of the country is overweight, the BMI thresholds are ridiculous, and clothing is vanity sized to make fat people feel better. I'll stick with my own ideas of eating well... :/
I like natural foods. I eat mostly fruits and vegetables, and soy is my lover. If I buy something that has an ingredients list, I want to be able to know exactly what everything in the ingredients section is, and I want them to be things that occur in nature and aren't made in a lab. Most carb-y things I buy have whole grains. I avoid oils; I get good fats from things like soy, almonds, string cheese, etc. I don't eat meat. I do eat unhealthy food sometimes. Chocolate and ice cream are my weakness. :oops: It's good to indulge sometimes though. |
wow - read meat and butter and rice and white bread are at the top?
|
Isn't kind of contradicting to have vitamins on the food pyramid, because if you are following it. Are you not getting all the vitamins and nutrients that you need?
|
I eat pretty healthy by my own standards. If I eat it, and it makes me feel good then I'll stick with it. Fatty foods and sugary/oily things make me feel awful. I'm also vegetarian, so that made me feel 100 times better than I ever did when I ate meat. Most of my diet is organic/natural things anyways. Do a lot of studying, though. Know what's healthy and know what's nothing more than a fad among the health conscious.
