@Cows Go Moo - that's what I'm scared of too.
@Gamersdreams - I decided to give all the really cheesy pick up lines to my girl friends. But I have a lot left over because most of my friends are guys. XP |
I used to do it when I was in school. it was fun back then and I'd come home and go, "mom mom, look how many I got, I think I got like 30 and there's candy in there too!" I always took valentines day as like, a smalled Halloween were I didn't have to dress up. but now that it's just me and my hubby, we don't do anything for vals-day. just don't feel like it. Yay hallmark holiday.
|
I do think some of the things that they say is pretty funny. It's all in good fun so I don't see what the big deal is about sending friends valentines.
|
Aw, you guys are lucky you get any at all. Tomorrow's V-Day, and I hope someone got one for me. Last year two people did. That's actually pretty good since people in my school are kind of lazy about Valentines Day. The only ones they usually prepare is for their girlfriend/boyfriend. I don't ind though. It's so sweet. ^ ^
|
I don't normally get anything, I just think the idea of it all is cute.
|
yeah, I agree with you. I don't normally ever get anything either. I just think it's so kewt...and so sweet...*sigh* so pretty. ^ ^
|
I wanted to give some out, but I didn't get to pick anything up to give out..
|
I saw these cute Valentines that were from the movie "cars". I ended up buying them for my sister to give out to her friends since she's more into passing things out than I am. I also love conversation hearts.
|
awww, cars was awesome. I saw those too the other day. My brother wants to pass out Star Wars ones. They were holographic tooo~ ;D
|
@mystic kiwi - you mean the Sweethearts? I've never liked eating them, but I heard you could personalize the messages now.
@+liforrenn - I bought the goodies bags, stickers, and ribbons a while ago because I thought they looked cute. I love sharing cute stuff with my friends. >-< And my lil sister is one of those kids who don't care for candy. She's more of a junk food person. Plus, she doesn't like chocolate. SCORE! 'cuz I LOVE chocolate <3 @Usukie Ichihara - definitely a hallmark holiday. Except I remember making V-day cards all the time in elementary school. |
Yeah, this Valentines Day seems to be so pretty already. Maybe it's because of the awesome event items we have on Mene ^ ^
|
Honestly, I don't think anyone is going to take any of the goofy messages on valentine's day candies seriously unless you give them a real reason to, or they are incredibly desperate. It's all for fun, and I at least *hope* people understand that... -.-
But yeah, the new messages on candies are a little er.. blatant. It's not really a big deal, but it is a pretty interesting change from the talking hearts from yester year xP |
I usually didn't HAVE friends to give valentines ^^" or any crushes >.<
Never GOTTEN a valentine candy/card before  This is my first valentines day (- at 18 -) where I might actually have a valentine... Though... instead of getting the "possible valentine to be" a sappy little card... I decided to give her a ring :) (not what you'd think... just to tell her I love her :)) |
As a kid I don't remember Valentines being suggestive at all and I'm sure they weren't since parents would most likely riot. XD Nowadays I guess there is less innocence and not too much flies over kids heads so I guess Valentines would start to get a little more than we bargained for. Still sucks in my opinion since kids are kids and dating shouldn't even be considered an issue till early high school. ><; In elementary school we had to get enough Valentines for all the kids in our classroom but after 5th grade it was no longer mandatory. XD Of course in elementary it was optional but if you gave one you had to give all so it was fair. Of course our classes consisted of 15 kids so it wasn't too bad.
Leave the naughty notes for Spencers is what I gotta say. XD |
I don't send anything at all and I don't receive as well. So.... I can't say that is wrong or not when I never know what's the feeling of getting flowers form a guy/girl or cards saying those funny/cute/lovely things xD
|
I honestly don't have anyone to give Valentines out to.
Well... I guess there's my boyfriend, but that's too obvious. I got him something, even though I instructed him not to get me anything. I'm kind of hoping he still won't. Hah. I don't care about the wrapper; GIMME THE CANDY! |
V-Days the day where i normle go all out for all my friends.. Thow this is my first year with having a lover to share it with me.. ever.. YAY!
But yea, this year i got some cards that move when you turn them. ^ ^ Simple but enough to let everyone know that i thought of thems. ^ ^ |
i don't celebrate valentines, so i've no idea ;P but..
of course, i can't prevent my mind from thinking of it.. i won't be so uber "oh yay, it's Vtine!".. i'll just enjoy watching/knowing what other's thought about that day, that's all ^-^ |
where's the option "to nobody"? xP I don't celebrate valentine's day either, and I wouldn't have any friends to really give some presents/cards.
I do have my fiance but he could care less for this day, just like me. :3 |
Happy Vday!!! hope you all have a good one.
|
I don't really think of it so much, since they're all just really cheesy and don't mean anything XD
I made my own Valentines this year, and I made four. They're pokemon themed! The pikachu one says "I choose you!" The Jynx one says "OH BABY!" The Charizard one says "You're HOT!" and the magneton one says "I'm attracted to you" I made them all to be super cheesy and lame. I think just saying "Happy Valentine's Day!" is boring. Hahaha |
