AHH! I almost died today!
Well, OK not exactly. But I did very nearly get injured. Here what happened, I work in a grocery store, in the bakery department and I was heading to the back for my first break.
The back, which is the 'employees only' area, is full of stalk, so I'm just minding my own business, and a box almost falls on my head! @[email protected] Seriously, if I was just one step ahead, it would have been on my head. I don't have an eventful day today, since all I've been doing is laying around the house because I don't have work today and all my friends somehow do, haha.
Yesterday was eventful, though. I went out to get my friend Krystal (she's currently saving for a car), and for that I have to go down the highway and such since she lives a couple cities over from me (she used to live practically right down the street Dx ). Well, a rock fell from a semi truck when we were going practically 70mph, and it hit my windshield. Now there's this horrible crack in it that's been getting bigger because of the cold. =( Also, yesterday was eventful because when I was taking her home, it was in the middle of the night, and most of the highway was blocked off because they were knocking down a bridge to build a new one. :o It was pretty cool, there was a rain of sparks coming from where the machinery was working, and she took pictures. xD So that was the eventfulness in yesterday's day for me. x3 |
Well i had no near misses cuz i dont work at the moment so imnot out to kill myself.but my sister...... well she almost fell off a ladder with a heavy box of furniture for a kids room. she had to call her leader, to come and save her..she likes to almost die at work XD

well, nothing life threathing today, but yesterday i almost killed myself playing End of the Century sped up and on standard on a really crappy DDR pad yesterday XD

One time when I was walking home, I was on the cross walk, when a car all most run me down. Heres what happened. I looked both ways, the lights down the way where red and the cars on the other side were all ready slowing down for me, I'm a few steps in when I here tiers scueeling, I look to where the lights are and there is a car coming my way, moving so fast thats its leaving rubber on the road. I jumped back the way I was going and, according to the people looking, I got out of the way just in time. When I looked at the woman through her wind shield and the look she was giving me was as if she was blaming me for her almost hitting me.

I was nearly hit by a car as well. I don't work, but this happened on my way home from sixth form.
It was at a crossing where it's really hard to see around a corner- they're those bends in the road we have in the UK (that's a joke by the way)- and after watching all the cars go past I stepped out just as a Mini came speeding around the corner. It was dark as well, and they didn't have their lights on either. They honked the horn and I heard shouting as they sped away again. I was actually a little scared for a little while. I wanted to tell my parents but I was afraid they wouldn't understand and would tell me off for not being careful enough. I hated crossing that road before, but I have to cross it twice a day to get to and from sixth form and there's no way I could walk around it. I feel sorry for my friends learning to drive now, there are so many idiots on the road! |
I've had some near misses. Nothing quite so random though.
I was hopping along some boulders on the edge of this huge island in the middle of an even larger than huge lake when I slipped and fell in between two. I managed to catch or rather grid me hands an feet on the boulder on either side of me an inch above the water which my hate was now floating in, but there was a rock I would have smashed my head on below the surface. |

Boxes these days. Gosh. You just can't trust 'em. I almost fell down the stairs today. D: And I don't work, so I didn't go to work today. xD Um, my day, was eventful. |
Aw, all I did today was sit around on the computer and talk to a few people on the phone :|. Yesterday my friends and I talked online about avies and Gaia. I've had near death experiences before, but most of them could have been avoided altogether. I think I'm developing a danger prone life.. XD

Haha...I'm still recovering from the time in OCTOBER when I broke my hand at work. XD; It was just a TINY fracture...but it's still giving me hell. Still hurts. I think it always will at this point...good thing I've gotten used to it. >.<;
I had an eventful day today, though. I got thrown in the trash! D: You see, I was sitting in the back of my parents' van. Which doesn't have actual SEATS in the back; we actually have a futon that folds up to make something of a sofa. And just in front of me was a trash can we keep back there. Well...this IDIOT in front of us just slammed on her brakes in the MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING STREET to talk to someone. My dad had to do the same to avoid hitting the moron and spilling the wood shavings in her head all over the road...and when he did that, I flew forward, went off the seat, and landed in the trash can. Needless to say, it was...an unusual experience. Not a PLEASANT one...but kinda funny to look back on a few hours later. XD; |
I almost got hit three times by a car. The first time, I was walking across the cross-walk. All the cars stopped, but one. The car stopped right in front of me, and the driver said, "Sorry" and drove on. My guess was that she didn't see me cross the road, because I'm petite, so some of the larger cars covered me. xP The other two times was when I was busy talking to my friends, that I wasn't paying attention to the incoming cars. My friends had to stop me from walking. Both times, were in different locations: one was when we were crossing the road, and another was in a parking lot. xD |
Oh, geez! That's scary... I did go to work today, and I always have some hit-and-misses... especially with hot oil and hot surfaces and the like >__< I work in fast food, but I don't do well with hot objects... I ALWAYS, ALWAYS burn myself... needless to say, I am seeking a new job! XD

I've almost been hit by a car as well, i was crossing the street and there was only one car coming, he had his turn signal on to turn at the intersection ahead from where I was, so I start to crass, I take a step out into the road and all of a sudden that car is practically on top of me, I don't know how I managed to get back to the sidewalk before I got hit. I was so mad, they had slowed down to turn and everything, and all of a sudden, there they were.
And yeah, they gave me a nasty look too, like it wasn't their fault or something, I was following that jerk's lead. |
Well not much a friend of mine from college sent me a video that he saw was the grosses thing he had ever seen and had to share it. If I tell you what it is I will get into trouble so don't ask.

And we see this guy running around the parking lot and started banging on people's cars including mine. (I made a thread about this a few hours ago) Me and my friend were laughing so hard. xD |
Hmm, well that is very scary i would have scream loud. lol. but nothing happened to me today, jut sitting on my bed >> the only time something like that has happened to me is when i was at my schools football game, i was waling under the bleachers when an ice cream cone fell 2 inches in front of me right when i stopped walkings, i scream and everyone looked at me like i was crazy, but i laughed and walked off. im sorry about you near death experience. the only thing that would have happened to me was become a half ice cream girl. X.X

I worked today, and it was pretty busy, but not very eventful. No near misses in injuries though. XD
We were having a really big sale on clearance stuff, and extra 30% off on top of that. So everybody was buying stuff. I did get a lot of credit card applications, which was good. I got like 6 after working 5 hours, when I usually end up getting 2 a day working 8 hours or more. :P We get paid $2 for each one too. So that was nice. I had a really snobby lady jump in line wanting me to check a price. Then when she wanted to buy it, I asked her if she was waiting in line. She said (in a really rude tone mind you) "No, but does it matter? I am now." Stupid bish. XP Then she was debating prices and being really condescending. People think that just because you wear a nametag, they can push you around all they want. Sorry. I'm not being paid minimum wage to bend to your every whim. :P Go away lady. XDD |

I can only imagine how scared you were. If I were you I'd possibly wet my pants *__* However, some similar things heppened withme as well. While crossing the road I almost got hit by a car. Thank god it didn't happen. |

ya i almost fall off a lot of ladders.oh and i drop boxes on my face literally. i had one thrown at my face during Christmas. it hurt. stupid boys. oh and i almost got ran over by the wave and almost fell off it. geez its a wonder im not dead yet. i should start being careful XD but its okay i have strong men back there who come to my rescue even my boyfriend XD |

haha ya i do..and its a good thing they are there.or i prolly would be dead..or seriously injured which has yet to happen.thank goodness.i usually get cuts and bruises, but thats bound to happen with being the only female in the stockroom. XD
which is why they take care of me so well. plus i smile for them ^_^ sometimes though i get so scared to where i cant come down ladder and my team lead has to come and get me litterally. he will climb up the ladder and be like its okay yu can down im here its so funny. then they make fun of me. my boyfriend likes to just laugh at me, cuz i get mad then make down cuz im mad at him and i forget im scared. |
