Oh wow, we're online at the same time! xDD;;
<3<3

And yeah, I get what you mean. =O For some reason, Gaian event items aren't always that nice in the first place. >.>;; They seem to be getting a little worse every time an event comes along. ^^;; That could just be my personal opinion though, judging from the past event items. xDD;;

And lolz! I think it's an artist's curse. Procrastination and commissions-in-waiting, I think. xDD;; I'm only down to two commissions on Gaia, one here on Mene, and a gift for someone here on Mene as well. :3 So, I'm glad my list has trimmed down by A LOT now. 8DD;;

LOLZ. xDDD;; I don't normally look at myself in the mirror making faces. xDD;; It's just that I got curious about what my friends were talking about, so I decided to check it out for myself. ^^;;

And really? =O At least you're more open now though. :3 I'm trying to get rid of my natural shyness, actually. ^^;; University and the organizations I've joined are helping me as much. Now I'm much more vocal about things than I used to be. And according to people, I'm a dominant person amongst my course-mates, which is weird but interesting. ^^;;

And I actually just checked my quest thread and the quest raffle discussion thread, and also posted my replies. I'M SO HAPPY, SERIOUSLY. xDD;; <3<3

Congratulations also on getting your gown, btw! =D <3<3 The gowns are very pretty~ :3 <3<3

Lura Crane 02-12-2009 09:33 AM

Which isn't really a good thing for me since I should be sleeping, but I'm happy~ XDD

No, I think a lot of people feel the same, about the MCs too, and feel like now they're putting all their energy into the evolving items. But whatever, that just makes my questing a little easier by not making me tempted to do too many side quests. >o>;

Mine just seems to fluctuate, I trim it down a bit, but add more after. And all the tempting art contests don't help either, haha~ XD;;;

Yeah, I used to be super quiet too, as told by my friends, heh. I just find myself more of a listener than the talker, and I tend to not have many interesting things to say. But I'm quite a bit more vocal now, still not too talkative, but I've actually been taking the initiative more often to carry on a conversation further when an awkward silence would have otherwise ensued. XD;

That's the feeling you should be getting! X'D <33
I'm really happy about the gown too, haha~ And thank you!
When I entered, or actually when I first saw the new lunar items added to the shops, I looooved the gowns, and then felt really happy and hopeful when I saw them in the quest raffle.
^o^ I decided, I can't really buy one now, since I still have a whole bunch of other items I still need to buy, but if I win, I'm definitely making an avi to go with it and add it to my quest thread, which I will do in the next couple days. X'DD <3

Rylynne 02-12-2009 09:39 AM

=O!! Rannie should go to bed then. D: You'll get eyebags and wrinkles if you don't sleep right! >.>;;

And lolz! That's an interesting way of looking at it. xDD;; And hmm, you're right though. =O A part of me is hoping they're focusing on the evolving items not because they earn from it due to real cash, but a part of me suspects it all the same. >.>;; Poor neglected event items and donation items. ^^;;

Maybe Rannie should stop taking commissions then and finish off her list first before taking on more? :> That's what I'm doing. Haven't accepted anything for a few months now, since I wanna finish ALL my commissions before I get new ones. xDD;; But I do know what you mean about all the tempting art contests. 8DD;; It's so hard to stay away... >.>;;

And oohh, that's good then. :3 Yay for Rannie being more vocal and forward then! :> I'm also more of a listener, actually. ^^;; But I'm trying to be both, since I know how annoying awkward silences can be. =\ Have experienced enough of them to last me a lifetime. >.>;;

I really love the gowns as well! <3<3 Only things stopping me are my gold count, questing, and the fact that layering with dresses can be very limiting. ^^;; But I do plan on buying all the gowns for myself in the future. xDD;; Cause I'm girly like that. =P <3<3

Lura Crane 02-12-2009 10:24 AM

Lura's already got eyebags from staying up so much this week. xOx;;

Well, Gaia is expensive. @^@ At least they have people willing enough to use so much of their real cash to buy stuff.

I knoowww, but it's hard to say no, and sometimes I just need something different/new to get me back in an art kick.
T^T

Yeah.. I have a weird way of looking at awkward silences. They don't bug me so much, silence in general, but I worry that the other person/people are bothered by it, and I figure I should do something about it. >^>;

I must agree about the limited layering, but something nice can still be made~
Like the outfit you made with the blue and green one.
X'DD
Haha, or maybe just your commons whore side is migrating to Mene~ How many of the gowns do you currently own? owo

I'm probably heading to bed soon after this post, so I'll have to catch you later, RyRy! X'3

Rylynne 02-12-2009 10:33 AM

But you shouldn't add to it anyway? D: More eyebags is even worse than having them. x_x;;

And I know, right? =O Personally, I'm not sure if I would keep buying with real cash, since I tend to think that I can use the cash somewhere else. ^^;; I love shopping, so my money goes there in the first place. xDD;;

And you should be stricter with accepting commissions then, maybe? =\ And also, I dunno about you, but I feel less ad less inspired when I have more to work on. xDD;; But I do wish you luck on finishing your commission list. :>

And ohh, really? =O I feel awkward with it, mostly because I'm worried about the other person like you, and also because I personally get bothered by it, for some reason. xDD;; I'm okay with silence, but awkward silences are just strange. D:

And yeah, nice avatars can be made, of course~ But I'm a layering sort of person, so that's just a small bias on my part. ^^;; The dresses here on Mene are too pretty to be ignored in the first place anyway though. xDD;; <3<3

And oh, that one? =O That was mostly because I forced myself to use the dress because it was so gorgeous. xDD;; I'm glad it turned out decent though. =P

And yeah, maybe. xDD;; And, umm, I don't have a lot of commons here on Mene. >.>;; And I only have that gown, actually. ^^;; And that was only because I managed to win it with the Lunar New Year red packet event thing. =P <3<3

And okies then~ Go sleep and enjoy your rest. :3 Good night, Rannie! =D <3<3

Lura Crane 02-14-2009 10:51 AM

Lura can't help it. >^<

Thanks for the luck. >.< I think it depends.. or is just weird for me, I don't know, heh. Sometimes, more stuff would push me to get stuff done faster, other times, I feel like it's overwhelming and can't do anything. XD;

Haha, awkward silence is awkward. XD

So true, and true for a looot of items on Mene. X'D

I forgot about the red packet thing, haha. XD; I opted to try for the pudao instead of a dress in the more expensive choice, though I really couldn't decide between the two, but I'm really happy I was able to get the weapon. 8'D I guess I still had a bit of luck in me to be able to get the dress. ^o^

Thankies, RyRy~ ^w^

goldfish67 02-14-2009 01:50 PM

I wish i had a dress like Luna is wearing O_O
Ok the whole outfit .____.
Is there any store you know of that sells clothes like? For reallyyy cheap?

Silver Magi 02-14-2009 11:01 PM

*huggle-luffs Silver*
Aww, thankies~
X'3
Happy Valentine's Day, Silver! ^O^

Thanks, Goldfish! 8'O
I actually don't remember which stores, I generally shop at all of Wonderland Boutique, Hot Gossip, and Accentuate. I'd say those are my main ones, haha. And this outfit (aside from the headwings and fox) was actually one of my cheaper outfits. XD I have most of the items I'm wearing listed in my completed quests section, under the choco avi. >w>

Silver Magi 02-15-2009 06:47 AM

*Huggles back* <3

Happy Valentines Day to Lura as well. :'3

Lura Crane 02-15-2009 06:51 AM

Hehe~ I take it Silver has been enjoying the Valentines event so far? 8D

I've only just started on it, heh.
I got my hair trimmed two inches today, and then my sister and I spent about $130 worth of stuff at Target from a $200 giftcard our mom got.
XD

Rylynne 02-24-2009 08:26 AM

H'okay... sorry for the VERY late reply. :< I tend to ignore other subforums when it comes to event time. ^^;;

---

Lura can help it, I know she can! 8DD;;

And really? =O Wow, I can never do that. ^^;; So you work well under pressure sometimes then, I assume?

And at least you got both though. :3 Everyone has some luck, I believe. =P It's just that some people are luckier than others. xDD;; <3

Lura Crane 02-26-2009 10:17 PM

It's okay. ^ ^
I've been kind of busy lately and suspect another busy weekend starting.. tonight. @^@

She can't! She can't! DX

I suppose? Though more eye bags are a really good possibility when working under pressure. x^x
Huh.. these 9^9 look kinda like eye bags.. >o>;

What about good luck versus bad luck? XD;

Rylynne 02-27-2009 01:24 PM

Waahh. :< Good luck with whatever is gonna keep you busy then! =O <3
Remember not to overwork yourself~ >;] <3

And SHE CAN. Cause, cause... I say so...? xDDD;; <3<3
I suddenly remember that cartoon about the train that goes, "I think I can, I think I can!" LOLZ. =P

AND LOLZ at the eyebag smiley thing. xDD;; I guess they do. =P I have natural eyebags already, so, I can't even tell if they're so big now because it's natural or because I'm stressed. >.>;; Probably because of both though. ^^;;

And... umm... I did say that everyone has LUCK. I never said it was good or bad? xDD;; And I don't believe in eternal bad luck, personally. =P That could just be me though. ^^;; <3

Lura Crane 02-28-2009 12:40 AM

Thanks~ >^<
I'll try to remember. XD;

Well.. maybe she can.. >^>
I've actually never watched that before, but I remember back in the day, haha, people were always playing off that line.
XD

I know you never said that, haha, that's why I asked~ X'D
What about people who feel like they've always had bad luck because nothing ever seems right?
I've never thought much on the topic of luck before though, so I'm not really sure what I believe about it.
@^@

Rylynne 02-28-2009 01:23 AM

Okay, I'll accept your attempt at trying. 8DD;; <3

You never watched that train cartoon? =O I think it started from a story or a fairytale or something, actually. But I can't remember, really. ^^;;

And hmm... personally, since I'm an optimistic person, I'm sure that at least one big lucky thing has happened to every person in the world (excluding being born, since I consider that a gift in itself xDD). :> It's just that some people see themselves lucky more than most, and can actually "see" how they're lucky, whilst others find it more difficult to see the luck in their lives. =O

Or, something like that. ^^;; Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, of course. =P
So, what does Rannie think about it? :> <3

Lura Crane 02-28-2009 09:21 AM

Nope~
From early on in my life, I'd be moving back and forth between the States and Taiwan, so I don't think I ever got the full American childhood experience, haha. Most of the stuff I remember as a kid was really stuff from the Asian culture, entertainment wise anyway.
XD; Like faithfully (is it faithfully or diligently? XD;) following anime series, watching the usual Asian dramas based on martial arts and myths, stuff like that I guess.

Perhaps it's because my mom mostly single-handedly raised my sister and me, but since she was from Taiwan herself, she wouldn't really know what kind of stuff the American kids were into these days and such, does that make sense?
XD;

Ahh, that makes sense, seeing it as the difficulty in seeing their luck. I think I mostly see it as chances and coincidences. I don't really split it into good or bad until after the thing happens. But sometimes, I throw away those thoughts altogether and don't think much of it. I'm optimist when there's an end goal in mind, pessimistic when it's useless/pointless. I think I'm just easily adaptable that way and so my thoughts are never really stable and set or firm. @^@;

Rylynne 03-03-2009 11:31 AM

Ohhh, really? =O I see, I see. Hmm, now that you have me thinking about it, I'm not really sure why I knew abut that story. I also was raised in the Filipino way. =O But I guess it's cause the Western influence is very much a big part in the Philippines nowadays. ^^;; I grew up with Disney. xDD;;

And yeah, that makes sense. =O <3 So, if she read you stories, would they be Taiwanese fairytales? :3 Out of curiosity~ ^^;; <3

And ohh, I see, I see. =O <3 Hmm, I do like your point about only splitting the choice between good and bad only after a particular event has occurred, and not saying that the luck of something (or someone) is predetermined. =)

Cute bed time avatar, btw~ =P <3<3

Lura Crane 03-05-2009 01:29 AM

Well, yeah, I grew up with Disney too. Everyone's grown up with Disney, haha~ XDD

Hrmm.. I actually don't think my mom/parents ever read me stories. >o>; But if she did, or my grandparents did, I don't remember, heh.. I remember growing up watching a lot of tv stuff though. Like I said before, with all the martial arts movies and myth-related drama series. @^@

Heh, I suppose I'm a person who mostly focuses on results and not really what happened to get there (as much). Which probably ties in with my perfectionism, since I almost always have an end result in mind and don't think too much (or quite the opposite) about how to get there and actually doing something towards it. *sigh*

Thank you~
If only I could actually wear something like this to sleep with a panda to cuddle, haha~
X'D <3

Rylynne 03-05-2009 04:14 PM

I grew up in Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, The Jungle Book... you know what I mean. xDD;; Although, my favorite animated movie of all time is not Disney. 8DD;; It's Anastasia, actually. =P I love everything about it, seriously. xDD;; <3<3<3

And really? =O Hmm, interesting. :> My parents read us stories a lot when we were kids, but we spent more time with the TV because they were really workaholics when my brother and I were kids. ^^;; Only now when we're more independent are they at home more, which is funny. 8DD;;

And ohh, that's interesting information about you. Thanks for sharing, since I love getting insights on people and friends. =P <3<3 I think I'm kinda the opposite of you though, since I really value how to get to my end results, because if I'm not enjoying the process, then for me, the end result doesn't taste as sweet, you know? I don't wanna waste my time going through something I don't want to/don't like to, even if the end result might be worth it (but then I question if it really is worth it in the end xDD).

And aww, that's true. =P I have some panda stuffed toys, but I don't have panda headphones or fox slippers. ;_; I have fuzzy heart slippers though. 8DD;; <3<3

Lura Crane 03-06-2009 02:18 AM

Haha, I feel the same, the very same~ XD
I just wished we owned a copy of Anastasia though, so I could watch it over and over again. T^T

Funny, indeed. XD
I think my family's more.. tv-entertainment oriented? because in Taiwan, whenever we eat, we have the tv on, whether it be the news or some popular show going on at meal times. And they didn't let us out of the house much, so there wasn't really anything else to do but watch tv. @^@;

Haha, you're welcome~ XD
I understand what you mean about the process though, especially since I'm taking a design class right now, and the teacher is always talking about how for designers, it's always the process that's important, because when it's done, it doesn't really matter anymore whether you like it or someone else likes it or not, as long as how you got there was crazy and fun. 8'3

My sister has a stuffed panda family, haha~
I don't remember the latest count, but I think there be at least ten panda members.
XD And I think I used to have fuzzy slippers, but I don't know what happened to them.. >^>;

Rylynne 03-06-2009 09:55 AM

I know! ;_; I don't have a DVD of it either. :< I did watch my favorite parts of Youtube sometime last year though. xDD;; Yeah, dorky of me, but I love it so much! =P <3<3

And really? =O Our parents don't usually turn the TV on when we're eating. ^^;; Only when there's a really good show do we move to the den or music room to watch TV (depends on the show and which TV we want xDD). Although, that's only been practiced for the past few years. =O My parents never allowed my brother and I to watch TV while eating when we were real young. Something about not being able to appreciate the food when it's on. xDDD;;

And oohh, that sounds like awesome advice. :3 I get the same feeling when I'm doing art for people. :> I love experimenting with poses and styles of shading. Most of those who commission me don't realize how many drafts and rough sketches I have of orders. ^^;; I always have too many ideas for my own good. xDD;; I tend to scrap a lot though, and just save them for future commissions. :3 It's real fun coming up with funny poses though. 8DD;;

And oohh, she does? =O You should steal it from her then? xDDD;;
And ten panda members? o_O;; I don't get you. 8DDD;;
And aww, poor fuzzy slippers! ;^; </3

Lura Crane 03-07-2009 06:16 AM

Aww.. >^<
Haha, I caught it showing on tv once while I was in Taiwan, I think last summer or so? But I decided to stick to it and watch the rest, even if they were speaking in Chinese, but the singing was in English at least~ XDD

Haha~ XD;; In Taiwan, we always eat together at this big round table, and the tv is set against the wall it's next to. Meals are always pretty much on time there, so we would always just watch the news. Typically, it's my grandma, my great aunt, my dad, my mom, my sister, the maid/housekeeperperson (o^o;), and me. I think the act of all of us eating together in the same place at the same time was the main thing, heh.

Your drafts, sketches, and funny poses made me think of my drawing class this week, haha. Two classes in a row, Tuesday and yesterday, we got to draw models. Sometimes, I just really need to draw in a more loose style, so that gave me a break, and now I've got some gesture pose references in charcoal to look back to.
XD I should go back and transfer those gestures to my sketchbook. >O>

It's okay, all her stuffed animals are scattered throughout the house, haha. XD
She collects stuffed pandas, haha. I think she's collected about ten so far or more. XD
Yeah.. my poor feet are always cold in the morning, I wish I had some to warm them up/protect them when I have to step on the freezing tiles of the bathroom and kitchen. >o<;

Rylynne 03-07-2009 07:32 AM

Omg lolz! xDD;; I can't imagine Anastasia in Chinese. o_o;; Was the dubbing decent, at least? 8DD;; I have a thing against dubbing, since most of the time they don't turn out so well for me. >.>;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O That's nice family bonding though. :3 <3<3

Currently, it's rare that all of us in the family eat meals at the same time. ^^;; I mean, we're all out in school/uni/work during the day for breakfast and lunch, and during dinner, at least one of us is out or something. xDD;; Only during weekends do we REALLY eat together as a family, and I enjoy those moments immensely. :>
Especially since my family (my mom, my dad, my brother, and me) is an interesting bunch. ^^;; If you know the show My Wife and Kids, we're kind of like that, literally. xDD;; There was even a time when my family was compared to the Incredibles. 8DD;; Only cause of appearances though. =P

And oohh, that sounds like a lot of fun! =O <3 I wish I had classes like that, but those kinds of classes are only available for the real art students in the university. ^^;; I mean, there are Fine Arts courses I can take, but only general ones, and not the specific types. :< But, that's okay with me~ xDD;;

And lolz, really? You can definitely sneak the panda out then and she'll never know. >8]
And aww, that sounds so cute! :3 <3
And don't you have normal rubber slippers or something when walking around the house? =O They don't have to be fuzzy to keep your feet warm. xDD;; <3<3
