Haha, dubbing in Chinese is almost always not good, I'm afraid. XD;
But it's okay, I tried not to pay attention to it when I was watching the movie~

Yes~
Well, it's always during the summer, or break, so it's not like we're busy or anything.
XD; If I lived there, it'd probably be much like yours where most of us are busy in our own ways, but I think at least one of the meals per day would be nice together time. 83
The Incredibles family is a fun bunch, hehe~ I can't say I'm familiar with My Wife and Kids, though I think I vaguely remember hearing the name before..

Yeah, the later drawing classes are for art majors only, heh. But the one I'm in now isn't restricted. We get lots of Animation major students, and a couple from other schools like Communication-Design or Bio.
^ ^ There's also a drawing club sort of thing. It's a club for getting familiar with anatomy, and every week, they just spend a couple hours drawing from models - each person chips in some money to pay, since it's not funded by the school. It's kind of cool too because the co-presidents are from the art school and from some science school (most likely Bio XD;)

Maybe~ But I'm fine with my own stuffed animals.
X'DD
Nah, I just have socks. >^< My apartment floor is this weird kind of.. almost office kind of carpet, heh. So once I come back from my classes, I take off my shoes to give them some space to relax~ >o>

Rylynne 03-09-2009 10:15 AM

That's good then, that you were able to concentrate on the movie itself and not some horrible dubbing. xDD;; Anastasia can never be ruined anyway because it's such a wonderful movie. 8DD;; <3<3

And ohh, I see, I see. =O That sounds real nice though. :3 I wish we weren't as busy during summer though. ^^;; Even then, we all have lots of stuff we do individually. xDD;; Except of course when we go out of town, which is kind of regular. ^^;; The basic gist of it is: if we're in our house, we're all busy; but if we're somewhere else, we're always together. 8DD;; <3<3

And yeah, they are. ^^;; And, umm, just think of regular comedic family sitcoms. THAT is how we are, basically. xDD;; Of course, sitcoms are more on the extreme side, but you can get the gist of our family dynamics from them, actually. ^^;;

And oohh, that sounds really awesome, you know. =O <3<3 I envy that system! xDD;; I wish we had something like that here. :< Or, maybe there is, and the university is just too big for me to fully explore it. xDD;; But really, that sounds like one fun and fulfilling experience. :3 I would want to be a part of that drawing club if there was one over here. =P <3<3

And oohh, what kind of stuffed animals do you own? :3 <3<3
And ohh, I see, I see. =O We don't normally use carpets here in the Philippines, because the country is a little more dusty than other countries. ^^;; So, they're such a pain to clean. D: We normally wear slippers to keep our feet clean, since socks are too hot most of the time, except for when it's cold like from November to February. xDD;;

Lura Crane 03-10-2009 03:58 AM

Much agreed~ XDD <3

Heh, kinda sucks? >.<
It's nice to have some individual time though, especially during breaks like summer vacation~

All I can think of are typical Disney channel / Nickelodian channel family shows, haha~ But I think I have an idea of what your family's like.
XD

You should definitely take a look at an online list of classes~ And walk around the artsy school area, haha. Fliers are really good for this kind of stuff. X'D

Mine tend to be either bears and doggies, not sure why. XD; Maybe cuz they're the most common? In my younger years, my family would take an annual trip to Las Vegas for Christmas/New Years, and we'd always go to Circus Circus and Treasure Island to play all those kid games and come back with a whole car full of stuffed animals. XDD;

Ohh, I would have thought that humidity might also play a part in no carpet? XD Like in places in Taiwan, I mostly see apartments/houses with wood or tiled floors, I can't really think of one I've been to that had carpet flooring. XD;

Rylynne 03-10-2009 09:09 AM

Aww, now I seriously want to watch the movie again now. ;_;
*ponders on going to Youtube to see her favorite parts*
xDDD;;
<3<3

Yeah, it does. :< But I still cherish the moments when we ARE together. ^^;; It's more often than most families, I guess, but still. xDD;;
And yeah, we have individual activities during the summer, since my brother and I like to take some summer classes sometimes, while my parents obviously are working. ^^;;

And lolz. xDD;; I can't name any Disney and Nickelodeon family shows right now that resemble us, but at least you have some idea of what we're like? ^^;;

And hmm, I think I shall. :3 What I hate about it though is that the university is so big, and the College of Fine Arts is secluded in one corner of the campus. >.>;; So, it's harder to get to than most areas in the university. xDD;; Which is bad for lazy people like me. 8DD;;

And lolz, maybe. =P I have a lot of teddy bears, actually. ^^;; I had to give away some of them though when they were too much. ;_;
And aww, that sounds like fun! =P <3<3 Do you still do that? Go to Las Vegas, I mean. xDD;; <3<3

And I guess humidity also plays a part in it, yes. =O We're a pretty hot and humid country. ^^;;
And our floors are mostly wooden and tiled as well, actually. xDD;; <3<3

Lura Crane 03-10-2009 10:05 PM

I'd probably be bookmarking those youtube videos to go back to and watch whenever (if they're still up). XDD
This makes me think of last night, haha. Yesterday morning, I had discussion, and we were talking about Marie Antoinette for class, so we watched a short clip of the Kirsten Dunst Marie Antoinette movie. And last night, I decided to look it up on youtube, and I watched the whole movie (though it was short compared to other movies). XD

Ahh, true true~
My dad won't let me take summer classes (though it probably would have sped up my graduation plan) because he wants me to spend as much time as I can with my grandma (because she's not too well, in the expected of in old age way, not that it's incredibly possible she'd die tomorrow or something
x^x;). It's not that I'm against it, but the little things I have to miss out on, like AX, summer school, and such, because of our annual returning to Taiwan. 8<

Heh, I suppose? XD;

Ahh, tsk tsk! But I understand completely, haha. My campus is definitely not one of the biggest in the world, it takes me about fifteen minutes to half an hour just to walk from one side of campus to the other, and I still get lazy sometimes about having to walk to somewhere 'far away'. XDD Do you have a bike? 8O

Hehe~
Not as much as once every year anymore, heh, but we did go last Christmas. I came back with a new teddy.
X'D

Haha~ XDD

Rylynne 03-11-2009 02:34 PM

Oh yeah! I never thought about the possibility that they would be taken down. Youtube has been doing that a lot lately. ^^;; I hope not though! :< It's my only way of watching it, since I don't have a DVD, VCD, or even a tape of it. xDD;;

And really? =O I always wanted to watch that movie. It seemed interesting, and I've always been in love with Victorian fashion, to be quite truthful. ^^;; I'll see if I can watch it on Youtube some time then. xDD;; <3<3

And ohh, I see, I see. =O Actually, our family (along with my dad's side) usually goes to the province for two weeks or so, where we get to enjoy the beach, nature, and lack of technology (I mean, it was only two years ago when the small town put up towers so that our cellphones would have signals >.>). That was usually during Holy Week, or the Easter holidays.
But, because of a BAD storm last year, our house and the rest of the town was... destroyed, to say the least. :x It was really bad. So, I'm taking my summer classes and anything else required during this summer, so that I'll be free the next summer. 8DD;;
I understand what your dad means though. =O Although, it does suck that you miss a lot of stuff when you're away. ;^; </3

And lolz, okay then. xDD;; I'll try to think up of another family resemblance, if you need more elaboration? 8DD;; <3<3

And our campus takes at least an hour to get from one end to the other. :x Although, it depends, really, since your campus is sort of oval-shaped, so from another side to the other is a LOT shorter. xDD;; 20 to 30 minutes, I think. ^^;;

And yeah, there are bikes you can rent for one semester. =O But they're a hassle to take care of. xDD;; There's a local mode of transportation around the campus. We call it a jeepney or a jeep for short. :3 Without it, more than half of the student population will forever be late for classes, since just about every practice and subject has its building. >.>;;

And oohh, that sounds so sweet! :3 <3<3
I haven't gotten any stuffed toys for myself recently. D: How sad. ;_; </3

Lura Crane 03-12-2009 05:09 AM

Heh, yeah, copyright can be a pain that way, but it's still a necessity. o^o
Lots of pretty dresses to see in this movie, haha~ And not to mention one of the main things to see in the movie - the interior of Versailles~ @[email protected]

Ohh.. that sucks. x^x
The idea of taking a break from advanced technology sounds neat though. But I feel like most of my family members wouldn't feel the same way and I'd be left to go to such a place alone. >^<;
Do you have anything planned already for your next summer? XD

Ahaha~ You don't have to until you really want to. X'D

My campus is sort of like an odd.. baseball field shape, including the outfield. @[email protected] And generally, I only travel across campus in the same general direction, the shorter length, and going from one class to another takes me about ten to fifteen minutes to walk (the smallest and more popular gap possible between two classes is ten minutes, so sometimes I worry about being some minutes late XD;).
We've got local transportation too, called the DASH - I don't remember what it stands for, if anything.
XD; A bunch of buses make their rounds through campus and to other places in the city like the medical campus a ways away, and the train station. 8O And also we have Campus Cruisers, basically like taxis you call up (but free, haha) for people who have late night classes and want to feel safer going back to their apartments near campus and downtown, heh.

It's really soft~
owo
I'm surprised at the improved quality of the prizes in Vegas now, haha!
I suppose it's sort of a good thing though if you worry about stuffed animals taking up a loooot of space in the house.
>O<

`Kitami 03-12-2009 11:12 AM

How's your quest going, Luraloo? :hug:

Lura Crane 03-12-2009 07:42 PM

Kita~ :hug:
Not much progress is being made, actually, haha.
XD;
The questing madness has died down for me, and now my gold earning is just from whatever I post, when I get to posting. But that's okay, most, if not all by now, of the items I'm questing are commons anyway, so I don't have to race against inflation. XD

>O<

Yeah, that's true. =O It sucks though for us innocent people who only want the pleasure of enjoying the movie with no profit. xDD;;
And OMGYES, the dresses from the movie are GORGEOUS! <3<3 The shimmering blue one is my favorite. 8DD;; And yeah, I was so happy they showed that interior part, because it really is a beautiful place. :3

And yeah, it does suck. >.>;; But we're all right~ It'll take a while to rebuild an entirely new house (since we kinda had two houses and a hut that all got destroyed... >.>), so we won't be going back there anytime soon. ^^;; Hopefully by next year though. =P

And really? =O Your family isn't the outdoor type then? =O A lot of us prefer indoors, but we all know the importance of this trip, as it's a family tradition, so we go through with it as family bonding and as a vacation too. ^^;; Besides, something interesting ALWAYS happens in that place. xDD;; Such as one time when the locals thought we were celebrities because of a funny incident. ^^;; But that's a different story for some other time~ 8DDDD;;

And me? =O As of now, nope. xDD;; I'm trying not to think about next year, since this year has me already fully booked and busy. @[email protected];;

And I do want to! 8DD;; But, I seriously can't think of anything. =| Ermm... yeah. 8DD;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O That sounds real neat. :> Your campus seems to be a very safe place for students then. =P Our campus is notorious, since it's sort of open to the general public, so, many interesting things happen. ^^;; Sometimes even too dangerous. But I dunno, it doesn't bother me as much because I know that as long as you travel with people in the possibly more dangerous places, you're all right. =P It's all just a matter of precaution. :3

Soft is adorable~ =P <3<3
And really? Cool then. 8DD;;
And I guess that's true. =| But still...! I miss my collection. ;_; I've kept some of my more important ones though, and I also have a bunch of collector's items there, so I can sell them if ever I get sick of them for nice prices~ 8DD;; <3<3

Lura Crane 03-13-2009 05:03 PM

Not to emphasize the no profit thing or anything. XDD
Is that the one from the beginning? I'll have to rewatch it or something to see which one you're talking about, haha.
I remember the dresses being really pretty to look at, I don't remember what they actually looked like.
XD;
Yeah, I wish I could visit it someday~

Yikes..
>^<;

Mm.. I guess they just prefer indoors, and probably a connection to the internet somehow, haha.
I'll look forward to hearing that story from you some time, since you've already hooked my interest.
X'DD

Ahh, I'm sorry. Hopefully your next year won't be quite as busy as this year. o^o

XDD

Erm, the campus might be safe, but the location? Let's just say my dad/both parents/family members all thought I should give my school another thought before deciding to attend. XD; 'Downtown LA' already sounds kinda scary to people, though they're not to blame. But the campus spends a lot of time, effort, and money on upping the security here, as well as reiterating measures of precaution to people, like not to walk around alone at 2 in the morning like a couple people have done. =\

And so huggable, hehe~
We had to do the same, heh. So in my room, I have.... around 12 to 15 stuffed animals?
@[email protected]
XDD;;

Rylynne 03-15-2009 03:25 AM

It's at the part when they go and see the opera. =O You know, the shiny blue one that made Anya look extra sexy. xDD;; <3<3
And yeah, same here~

And yeah, yikes indeed. >.>;; We're okay though~ It's just that now, we have no idea where to go for Holy Week. xDD;;

And really? Lolz, it would seem like a fun idea to drag hem on an outdoors adventure though. 8DD;; Just for fun~ =P
And okies then, I'll share it with you some other time. :> I don't have a lot of time online right now, you see, so I need to conserve my time for typing. ^^;; I will give you a teaser though? 8DD;; It started when my cousins and I were filming small "adventures" around the area for fun with a digital camera, and when one of our "scenes" accidentally involved other people in the area... well, it got a little complicated. 8DD;;

And pfft, that's not likely to happen, to be honest. ^^;; I'll be a sophomore in uni next year, meaning I have more major subjects now that actually pertain to Journalism, which is my course. Therefore, I'll be writing more stuff in the future, and I'm sure you know that writing loads of papers is busying indeed. >.>;;
But, I'll persevere~ 8DD;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O But, to be honest, I think that everywhere you go, you're not entirely safe. 8DD;; So I try not to be too bothered about safety and judging places. ^^;; It's real awesome though that your school tries its best to upgrade the security measures around there though. :3 At least they're being responsible about it. =P

And oohh, 12-15? I used to have almost 50 in my room when I was a kid. D8
... yeah, I was that addicted. xDD;;
Wasn't my fault though that everyone gave me stuffed toys all the time for gifts and stuff. >.>;;

Lura Crane 03-15-2009 05:32 AM

Hmm.. still can't think of it, but does it appear in this video? XD;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYvvnAGHR7U

Why is that?
XD;

Conserving time is perfectly fine with me, heh, I know you've been pretty busy. 83
Ahh, I see, haha. Can't wait to hear the more detailed story! Well, yeah, I can wait, but you get the idea. XD

Ahh, yes, journalism does tend to get pretty busy. @[email protected] That's why I'm glad I'm an art major, not so much writing work as other majors, and you can actually get away with not finishing a project sometimes, haha~ XDD Well, everywhere can be considered not entirely safe, but some places could have the chances of someone being caught in a dangerous situation increased. Sorry for the pessimism. XD;;;;

Haha~ 12-15 is after having to clean my room out of some stuffed animals. XD

Rylynne 03-15-2009 09:56 AM

I thought we were still talking about Anastasia? o_O;; That's Marie Antoinette. xDD;; <3<3

You mean, why don't we know where to go for Holy Week? o_O;; I dunno, cause we don't? 8DD;; We're still deciding though. =P Since it involves the whole of my dad's side, planning takes longer than usual. ^^;;

Aww, thankies for understanding. :> And lolz! xDD;; Thankies for waiting then? 8DD;; Although, you might get disappointed, so don't expect a lot. ^^;; I hate disappointing people. :<

And yeah, that's true. :< I love writing though, so it's not that much of a hassle as most would find it. ^^;; Although, since there IS a lot of writing to be done, it does take its toll too. ^^;;
And you can get away with not submitting projects? o_O;; Lucky! xDD;;

And yeah, that's true. :x But I've heard stories about dangerous things happening in some of the safest places I know too, so, it's more a matter of circumstance for me, usually. ^^;;
And you're a pessimist? =O I'm an optimist~ xDD;; <3<3

And lolz! I see, I see. xDD;; If I actually had ALL of my stuffed toys (even the newer ones right now), I would probably have more than 50. ^^;; Unless you count this collection of small stuffed toys I have that reach up to 75 in total. @[email protected];; Then... yeah. 8DD;;

Lura Crane 03-16-2009 05:27 AM

Ohhh, I see, haha. I was wondering who you were referring to when you said Anya. As you can tell, my memory of the movie is quite horrible now. XD;; I was also sort of thinking that you must have watched the movie pretty soon after we were talking about it, if you started to talk about the dresses. XDD

What do you usually do for Holy Week? 8O
*bad Catholic who's not really Catholic anymore*.. *assuming that Holy Week has to do with Catholicism in some way* xOx;

'Tis okay, I love hearing about stories from people, I'm sure this one of yours will be enjoyable, haha~

Not submitting 'completed' projects anyway, haha. You know how some people like to leave sketchy-looking drawings have finished? Yeah, most of the time that happens to me, I just ran out of time and try to make it look like I left it that way purposely. *so bad!*
XDD;;

I cross over the sides randomly, so I never know, haha. Though I think I tend to be more of a pessimist (especially on situations involving my own self) than an optimist. I feel I try to be more optimistic for others, since that would be the better thing to do as a friend. XD

Haha~ Did you ever collect beanie babies (I think that's how you'd call them)? 8D

Sakura_Madison 03-16-2009 05:51 AM

*pokes Lura* XD

I see you have a wonderful avatar, Lura! <3

Oh! *pokes bow on your side* XD

Rylynne 03-16-2009 12:49 PM

@ Rannie : Actually, the dresses are something I really put to memory after watching Anastasia for the first time. ^^;; I dunno, I had a lot of those childish fantasies when I was a kid after having watched the movie. xDD;; As for Marie Antoinette, I think I mentioned it before that I haven't watched it yet, so, I wouldn't know anything about the dresses there. ^^;;

And us? Normally we would spend it in our province, which now we can't cause our houses there are gone. :< So, we're left here in the city, which is boring. D: </3
And yeah, Holy Week is a Catholic set of holidays. ^^;;

And lolz, I love hearing stories from people as well! I love prodding people to share random stuff with me, just because I love to listen~ ^^;; <3<3

And LOLZ. xDD;; Rannie, you're a bad student. 8DD;;
Does the teacher notice anyway? =O Although, I guess if you make it look as if it's really how it's supposed to look, then it might be harder to spot that it's not supposed to be like that, had you more time to finish it. ^^;;
I did a lot of stuff like that for projects myself. xDDD;; Laziness and time constraints got to me a lot. ^^;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O True, it's easier to be optimistic for a friend's sake rather than for your own sake. ^^;;
I'm optimistic majority of the time, although I wouldn't say I'm a pessimist when I'm not optimistic. =O I'm more realistic and logical when I'm not optimistic, so usually that makes it seem like I'm being pessimistic when it's just me being practical. xDD;; Of course, even when I am being realistic about something, I still hope to lean on the brighter side of things. ^^;; <3<3

And OMGYES, I did. xDD;; I didn't complete my collection though, because they didn't sell it here and I had to buy them out of the country, or someone who went out of the country bought them for me. ^^;;
Did you? =O <3<3

@ Sakura : Your facelessness amuses me. xDD;; Especially with the veil! 8DD;; <3<3

Lura Crane 03-17-2009 12:27 AM

Thank you~!
You have quite the avi yourself, Sakura, haha. *eyes sparkle at your shinyness*
XD

But what kind of activities do you usually do for Holy Week? XD

I am, haha~ XDD;
Most of the time, no, because the teachers are usually the ones who say stuff like "Ooh, I like how you just let it fade out like that" X'D The good part about my drawing habit is that I usually draw from the inside out, which makes it very easy for me to just fade the edges. Though I think this habit came from when I was in Architecture for one semester, because buildings usually have a lot of repetition that most of the time, it's easier to get the idea of the repetition rather than spend hours drawing it out. @[email protected];

That's true, my realisticness and logicalness tends to come off as pessimistic, haha. It's probably the virgo side of me. XD

Hehe~ I wasn't so much concentrated on making a collection, but I do have several beanie babies. They're so soft and fun to hold. X3

Rylynne 03-17-2009 09:30 AM

Well... nothing really specific, since when we're at the province, we're free to do anything we want (which is why we get into some crazy adventures ala "filming and being mistaken for celebrities" xDD). Only specific things we have to do are go to mass during the required day/s. =O Other than that, we like to go island hopping, especially to this one island that's isolated but very pretty (which was also supposed to be ours, but my grandfather never bought it when it was SO cheap, and now someone else owns it and it's expensive :<). =P

Don't worry, I think we all are bad students. xDD;; I definitely am far from a good one, at least. ^^;;
And LOLZ, you even get praised for unfinished work? You must be a genius then, Rannie. xDD;; <3<3
And what do you mean by when you say "drawing from the inside out"? =O Do you mean drawing from the center of the object/picture/whatever and going outward?

And you're a Virgo? =O Cool. :3 I'm a Cancer~ xDD;; <3<3
I wanted to be a Virgo before, because the symbol is a girl and I didn't want a crab for my symbol. xDDDDD;;
/was so shallow back then

And yes, they are! :> Some of them look kinda strange though. xDD;;

Lura Crane 03-19-2009 01:07 PM

Oh, haha~
Island hopping sounds fun. 8O
Too bad about the pretty island though. Do you know what it's being used as? 8<

Or the teacher's just incredibly open-minded about what could be considered fine art. XDD
But that could be getting into a touchy art debate that I don't really want to expand on. >o<;
Yeah, that's pretty much what I mean. I usually do like, light sketches and such of the whole thing, and once I start doing more of the rendering and details, I tend to start from one spot (that ends up being a focal point) and work from there, in any direction that my hand decides to go, haha. The bad part is that when I start to render, I guess I have a habit of going straight to extreme detail.. and I don't really realize just how detailed I'm getting until I stop to look at the drawing maybe like, a third of the way through the whole thing. And then I either am forced to finish the rest with the same level of detail, or just go the lazy way with the fading. >o>;

Haha, I always thought it would have been neat to be an animal from the zodiac. I mean, the zodiac has sooo many animals in it, and I get to be a girl. That doesn't sound so special when I already am a girl. XDD But my sister's a libra, so I guess I got over it in time, haha~

I agree. XD
I only bought mine if I really really liked them, and had the money to buy them, haha. Some I got for birthday presents and such though, since they were pretty big for a while here during my childhood. 8'3
I remember I always liked to go and read the inside of the tags for all of them in the store, hehe.

Rylynne 03-20-2009 10:41 AM

It is~ :3 <3<3
And yeah, too bad indeed. >.>;; Right now, you have to pay a small fee to use the beach there. It's real small though, and you can circle the whole island in 30 minutes or less. xDD;; But yeah, since we don't own it, we have to pay. >.>;; Too bad though, since the sand and the waters there are real awesome. My cousins and I never forget to tease my grandfather about it every time we go there. xDD;;

LOLZ. Very true. Art is mostly subjective, after all? 8DD;; <3<3
And ohh, I see, I see. =O Well, you can look at it from this way. If you do start out with extreme detail, your drawing already has to fulfill the same very high standard that you started with. =P Although, I do see your point. Especially cause I'm real lazy too. xDD;;

And LOLZ. xDD;; I never wanted to be a Libra, since I don't want to be a scale. >.>;; For some reason, I wanted to be a person. ^^;; So, after Virgo, I wanted to be a Gemini. xDD;; But, I'm happy with being a Cancer. Nothing I can do about it anyway. =P

They were real big when I was a kid too. =O But I never bought any for myself for some reason. 99% of my stuffed toys were given to me by various people. It's strange that even though I LOVE stuffed toys, I never saw the point of buying them with my own money. xDD;; I only buy for other people, but never for myself. ^^;; I always had other things to spend my money on back then, like... candies. 8DD;; <3<3

Aww, sounds so mean. XD;;

Haha, it's like it reflects my mental high standards in the beginning, but once I step back and see the bigger picture (of how much effort would be needed) I suddenly switch to lazy mode. XD;

Haha~ XD

Ahaha, I thought you said candles, and then I was gonna reply with
" Gaspeth! Another candle person~ 8'O "
But then I reread and saw candies. XD I was never really much a candy person, not even chocolate. I just get over the taste really fast or something.. So my money usually went toward books, otherwise, I just saved it for later, much later. But most of the saved money has been spent by now. XD;

Well, the fee is only small, but still...! >.>;;

And lolz! xDD;; Maybe you should limit your stepping-back-times so that your laziness doesn't kick in as fast? ^^;; Although, that's hard, since you can go crazy if you do something from start to finish in just one sitting. xDD;; I have bad experiences concerning that... >.>;;

I actually don't like candles a lot. >.>;; I mean, I find them pretty and all, especially the decorative ones, but it's never something I would go out an buy for myself willingly. ^^;; Sometimes I don't see the point of decorative candles though, since, like, candles are made to be lit, not to be stared at for decoration. xDD;;

And you don't like candies and chocolates?! o_O;; Shame on you. D8 Lolz. xDD;; <3<3
I'm also not one to buy books for myself either, now that I think about it. :x I occasionally buy them, but most of the time, I never buy books unless I'm sure that it's a good one (usually through someone's recommendation).

... this conversation has made me realize that I'm actually not a spender. xDD;; Unless it's clothes and shoes. Yeah. I'm a shopaholic when I have the money to be. 8DD;; <3

Lura Crane 03-24-2009 09:02 AM

Just making sure, I was talking about the teasing your grandfather as being so mean. XD

Oh? A bad experience? XD;
Doing anything in one sitting sounds kinda crazy to me, though it happens sometimes, haha~

No, I buy candles to light them, heh.
I'm fascinated with candle fires? >O>;
A lot of candles that I have now though have been given by friends since they knew I liked them. And I'm one of those people who are hard to shop for, so once they hear I like candles, of course, all my friends end up buying candles for me as gifts. XDD

I know, it's a real shame. DX;
If I did frequently visit a library, I probably wouldn't have bought so many books that I have now, but.. mom was always busy, and I couldn't drive, and I knew she wouldn't trust me with walking out in the streets down to the local library on my own.

Haha, I'm not much of a spender in the clothes department. I buy clothes when I need to buy it, like semi-formal occasions and such, or when I need new pants. XD

Rylynne 03-24-2009 09:15 AM

Oh! Lolz, I thought you meant the fact that we have to pay to use the island was mean. ^^;;
And heeyy, we love him lots, and he knows we're just teasing. xDD;;

And yes, a bad experience. >.>;; Let's just say it involved a LOT of hours sitting in one position in concentration and then having a VERY sore body afterwards. >.>;;
And yes, it IS crazy. D: Although I know a few people who can work for 6+ hours in one sitting without doing anything else. ^^;;

Lolz. xDD;; Do you buy scented ones too? =O
And LOLZ. You might be a pyromaniac then. o_o;;
And oh! You're that type of person? xDD;; Luckily my friends say I'm not THAT hard to shop for. ^^;; That's pretty funny though. At least you'll never run out of candles when the power goes out? xDD;;

And I didn't visit the library often a lot as well. =O In school, I sometimes did, usually to read The Babysitter's Club. xDD;; But, after grade school, I grew out of our library for some reason. ^^;;

And I've only been a shopaholic for a few years now. =O It started in high school. ^^;; I dunno why though. I enjoy being fashionable. xDD;; I'm not addicted to fashion though, as a lot of people are. :x I also don't blindly follow trends. If I like the trend, I follow it, but if I don't, then I don't. >.>;; I have people who wear just whatever is in style at the moment, even when the style is butt fugleh. x_x;;
