We would like to think they are. :3 People enjoy it a lot, at the very least, which is a major accomplishment in itself, right? =P <3<3
Ohh, wow. :x I hope those who were hospitalized are okay then. =O But I'm glad that it didn't hit you guys as hard as it hit us then. <3 I wonder where that typhoon is right now though. @[email protected];; Also, speaking of natural occurrences, our most active volcano is said to be erupting soon. >.>;; Lolz, talk about good timing, noh? ^^;; Oohh, mango slushies are LOVE! <3<3 Gawd, now you have me craving them. xDDD;; <3<3 And we weren't allowed to go out without the person who was picking us up. :x Like, mom, dad, driver, maid, or something. >.>;; Even though the mall is less than one minute away (it's literally across the street xDD), they were scared that we would get kidnapped or something on the way there (there was a kidnapping incident a few years ago, although in a totally different area). Which is kinda stupid, if you ask me, since a less than one minute walk to a mall isn't as dangerous as they make it out to be. >.>;; BUT, I'm out of that high school, so I don't care as much anymore. xDDD;; LOLZ, that's an interesting point of view, I'll say. xDD;; Can't say I listen to Korean/Japanese music a lot though, mostly because I love listening to the lyrics of the song as they're extremely important to me (sometimes more so than the beat of the song xDD). :3 Which is another reason why I get easily distracted by songs. ^^;; And there is?! =O I think there is though, although I don't know about it. xDD;; All I know is that it's real bad to eat instant noodles and drink sodas at the same time when you wanna stay awake, since that sort of "deteriorates" your brain at that moment and then you can't accomplish what you wanna accomplish late at night (assuming you're staying up because you're cramming for a paper/assignment/exam/etc). 8DD;; Ohh, I see. =O That's true. :x It's more difficult to get everyone to talk when it's a bigger group, after all~ |
And just the fact that walking around in that kind of environment is a good experience for people who are striving to work in those very places. 83
But yeah, having events where people actually enjoy them is good too. XD Yeah, I hope so too. But I haven't kept up with the news lately, so I don't know. @[email protected]; It's probably gone by now though, hopefully. ^ ^; Yikes, I wonder if that's related to the earthquake we had here recently. @[email protected] I must remind myself to go get some before we leave tomorrow~ X'D Ohh, I guess that's true. 8< But I don't think the one minute walk was what they were thinking about, more so having young kids walking around unattended at the mall. But then, like.. if you were talking about elementary school kids, I could understand that. At high school level, that rule sounds like it could lean either way. >^> I mean, juniors and seniors here already start getting driver permits and licenses and such. I'm kinda picky with my music though, I think. XD For some groups, I listen for the music; for others, like in languages I actually understand, I listen for the lyrics. But sometimes I'll see translations for songs I've heard (by a Japanese group, for example) and those translations act sort of like big bonuses to my liking the song. XD My comment on the chips was a question. XD In response to your "The munching helps in keeping you awake, I think." XDD Heh~ I don't think I've ever eaten instant noodles while drinking soda, but I don't do either very often, haha. Yeah, heh. owo; |
That's true. :3 Early exposure is always beneficial in the future, I would like to think. ^^ And of course, enjoyment is a very good thing to experience as well. xDD;; <3<3
Well, I still wish you guys luck and safety on that then. :x <3<3 And woah. @[email protected];; Maybe? :x Probably not, but I can't say I know a lot about volcanic activity in the first place, so I wouldn't know exactly either. ^^;; Did you end up getting your mango slushie then? =O <3<3 Well, I guess, but that mall was like our second home. xDD;; It was perfectly natural seeing girls in our school uniform gallivanting around and stuff. ^^;; Then again, I guess it was natural for us to feel too protected and stuff at the time, as we were still in high school and therefore in the, "I WANT FREEDOM!" stage. xDD;; Oohh, I see, I see. =O I usually don't have enough patience for the songs' translations, usually. ^^;; Tried that before, but I dunno, I guess sometimes I was disappointed too much. :x But, that's just my personal experience though. ^^;; OHH, lolz. xDD;; Well, either way, they do keep you awake one way or another, so that's enough to satisfy my curiosity for now. ^^;; I suggest you don't though, if you want to keep your brain active. xDD;; Well, it's actually okay to do so, but not recommended when you're working on something important. 8DD;; |
Early exposure is good for not making yourself as embarrassed later, when you feel like you don't have a clue how to go about doing whatever you need to in that environment. XD We had a class trip to a major printer last semester, and during the tour, they showed us some general things about how to ask for a price estimate on a printing job, how the four-color process works, and how best to make sure a job goes smoothly and such. I probably won't remember all of the details by the time I actually need to get something printed like that, but at least it won't be so completely new by then. XDD
Well, I'm back in the states now, haha~ Though I think after our plane took off, it started raining again, so I dunno. @[email protected]; Mm.. about the earthquake, reporters were saying that it happened around the anniversary of the last major earthquake in the area? I didn't really look into it, heh. Dang it! I forgot. DX Focusing too much on the going home part to forget the slushie. I'm so sad though, I usually get it at least once during the time I come over for the summer. DD8 Though I did eat a lot of mango with shaved ice thingies at the night markets.. so I guess it's okay this time. >^< Hehe, true true. XD Mm.. I don't often actively look for translations though. I just like watching music videos of the songs I like sometimes, and on youtube, I stumble upon some with English translations. XD Haha~ XD I'll keep that in mind for the future. XDD; |
That's very true~ :'D <3<3
And wow, that must have been really awesome! :> Yeah, I doubt that everything that happens in the tours we hold will be remembered by those who go on them, but at least they'll have some idea and won't go into things completely blind. xDD;; Plus, first-hand experience is always something that should be valued. :3 Oh really? =O Yay for that then! :> So have you seen your friends yet then? =O I remember that you wanted to see them so you could all chat or something. ^^ <3<3 And ohh, really? =O I see then. :x I wouldn't know anything about it, of course, but it's interesting to note, I think. ^^ AHH. How sad. :< But oh well. xDD;; And lolz, yeah, at least you had something close to it then? xDD;; And why? :< Aren't there mango slushies over there? =O Ohh, I see. =O Cool then~ =P And yes, keep it in mind. :3 It's handy information. xDD;; <3<3 |
It was! owo
Don't really realize just how much ink goes through that place in one day until you see it with your own eyes, haha~ Not to mention the paper. @[email protected] But it was just cool to see how everything works and all. 83 No, haha, not really. Mostly getting settled back, and checking on some stuff. I might be going with a friend to visit her dad up north though. 83 But schedule's are so tight, so there's still a chance of it not happening, but I'll just visit her in San Diego some other time in the month, haha~ I didn't get to catch a couple of my friends before they left for the Philippines ( cuz I was still adjusting to the jetlag DX ) but they'll be back.. I think the 13th? owo Another friend is coming back from Japan, then from Seattle for a little bit, but I'm not really sure when. XD; Mm.. I think though I'm not really sure, that they were referring to the earthquake in Sumatra, Indonesia, the time with the really terrible tsunami. You might know of that one? Humm.... I think there are? Though it's just a random thing I do whenever I go back to Taiwan- get a mango slushie, haha. XD Beacuse mango in Taiwan is the best! >w< XD Sorry I haven't been so active here lately. 8<; My mind is in like, ten million different places right now, and I just keep island-hopping over every though, haha. |
That's really awesome then. :3
Reminds me of when I saw one of the biggest newspapers' printer over here. @[email protected];; It was three stories big. o_o;; Like, OMGHUGE. xDDD;; Oohh, I see. =O At least you can see them all when they get back though? :3 <3<3 And wow, some of your friends went to the Philippines? xDD;; Lolz~ Cool. =P Not the nicest weather right now though. :< So, yeah. ^^;; Ohh, I heard of that earthquake, I think. =O Somewhere in the news, but I can't be too sure. ^^;; Yeah, mangoes in Asia are the best indeed. :drool: Cause, I know that mangoes are really expensive over there, right? =O <3<3 It's why our mango business here in the Philippines is popular, when it comes to exporting it to other countries. xDD;; And no worries. =P I haven't been too active either, so that makes two of us. ^^;; <3<3 |
Oh my goodness, that's ginormous! XDD
Yup, two friends~ They've been trying to find some time to go together for a while now, and finally found the chance this summer. 8D What kind of weather are you having right now? 8O; Yeah, it was a while ago, lots and lots of deaths. I think, though I'm not too sure, that geologic experts weren't expecting the earthquake/tsunami that time or something, so they obviously weren't prepared for that disaster.. I guess they're kind of expensive? Though I don't really pay attention, I just know that they don't taste as good over here. XD; Heh, but I haven't started school yet, so it doesn't seem like I should be so active during my break. XD;;; |
Yup. It was. o_o;; Apparently only that particular newspaper and some places in Japan have it. @[email protected];; So, like, yeah, it was amazing. xDD;; I have pictures, actually, but it's from behind the glass and with no flash since the flash might hurt the actual printing process (as we went there around 5pm, which is when printing is ongoing =P). ^^;;
That's cool then~ :'D <3<3 Are they Filipinos, by any chance? =O Or did they just want to visit? :3 And, well, we're having the usual rainy weather right now. ^^;; Nothing too bad, but it's not the nicest conditions for tourists, I'm afraid. xDD;; How's the weather over there, if I may ask? =O <3<3 Yeah, I heard about that, I think. :x All the lives lost... it's sad, really. ;_; Goes to show though that we humans can't predict everything despite our best efforts though. ^^;; Nature is too powerful, in that sense. And hmm, I see. =O But yeah, that's what I know. ^^;; Or have heard of. And, well, either way, it's still too bad you weren't able to get a mango slushie this time around. :< But then, since it IS summer, it's your opportunity to go out a lot, right? xDD;; <3<3 |
Haha, wow~ XD
One is, and I believe they're staying at her grandma's house? Well, they stayed at a resort for a little bit, but I didn't know that until today. XDD;; The other is hispanic, though I can't seem to remember which in particular.. I should ask her when I next see her. >.<; Oh, haha, I see. owo; Weather's pretty good here, in my opinion. Not too cold, not too hot. Though I've been spending most of my time indoors, so my description of the weather here probably isn't accurate. At the least, we aren't have any rainy or stormy weather right now. XD; Aside from ourselves, nature is humankind's worst enemy, I think.. too much for us to handle sometimes. Yeah, next time, next time, haha~ XD Very true, and I'll be gone for about four days, sort of traveling the state with a friend (really just tagging along while she visits family and friends). 8DD;; |
I find it kinda strange though that we would have something so "advanced", because, come on, the Philippines isn't exactly the most prosperous and richest country out there now. xDD;;
Ohh, I see. =O Cool then! ^^ And wow, a resort! :3 That's cool~ :'D <3<3 And cool then. :3 I wish I could say the same here though. xDD;; We've had yet another storm pass right now, so, yeah. ^^;; I expect another one within the next few days to come though. >.>;; Yeah, definitely. :x I personally disagree when people try to "control" nature, because I mean, come on, nature has been here WAAAYYY before any real human or animal stepped on earth. It's just a bit arrogant of us, I think. xDD;; In the meantime though, you could always get one there right now? xDD;; And oohh! How fun! :3 I hope you enjoy yourself then! :'D <3<3 |
Maybe they just have really good connections? XD
Aww, that sucks. I hope it's not too bad of a storm. D8 Haha, I think people are just power hungry sometimes. XD; I could, but I probably won't, just cuz.. I dunno, I wouldn't think of it? I'd rather get some other drink instead? XDD; It was fun~ 8D We didn't exactly do much, but it was enjoyable, haha. We had a House marathon, and my biological clock was totally thrown off again. XDD;; |
Lolz, maybe. xDD;; The owner of that press though is rich and has a more economic approach to his newspaper, so maybe that's why. ^^;; Can't name specifics though, because it's bad for a journalist to be biased, lolz. 8DD;;
And actually, there's a new one now. >.>;; It left earlier, and now it's back, and I think it's about to leave again. o_o;; It's so strange. D: </3 Although today was very sunny, surprisingly. @[email protected];; Lolz, funky weather. xDD;; And yeah, that's true. :x </3 Wish it weren't so though. :< And LOLZ, true. xDD;; Like Snapple? =P Haha~ 8DD;; <3<3 LOLZ. xDD;; No worries though, cause House is awesome, so it's okay. 8DD;; <3<3 |
That a beautiful quest thread!! >.<
Good luck with your quest!! ^_^ |
Thankies, Nekito~ >w<
RyRy - XDD; Well, it'd be bad if a journalist was biased, unless the newspaper or magazine he/she wrote for was (more or less) biased itself. XD Haha, funky weather indeed. XD; We get a lot of weird weather in California too, haha. XD I'd say that it's human nature though; some people just feel it at a much stronger level than others do. Having someone take power/control is a good thing though, sometimes.. What a good idea! I hadn't thought of getting Snapple, but I should. XDD And now I've even forgotten why I was trying to find a Snapple in the first place. XDDD;; It is! I want to watch moreee~ X'3 |
Well, I guess if you're really nitpicky about it, nobody can ever be unbiased and truly objective. =\ It's against our very nature as human beings. xDD;; But, of course, you have to strive to be as unbiased as you can be. =P What irks me the most about it is when people claim to be completely objective and unbiased when we all know that's a hundred percent impossible. >.>;; </3
And really? =O What kind of weather do you have right now, then? =O Yeah, someone to lead is good, but as always, an extreme of something is never a good thing. :x </3 Too bad the extremities happen a lot. D: I mean, history is littered with leaders who started good yet got corrupted by power. >.>;; </3 LOLZ. xDD;; Glad to have given you an idea then? ^^;; And, ermm... it was because Taiwan didn't have it? 8DD;; What season are you on though? :3 <3<3 |
That's true, it's also impossible simply because the language we use doesn't allow complete objectivity. XD
Mmm.. just sunny, haha. With slight winds, but the heat overwhelms it. XD; The weird weather happens mostly during the school year, and during like... the fall through winter period. Weird in the sense that the weather's just not very consistent during that time for some reason. XD; Heh, has a lot to do with emotions, I think, stress especially. Was that the only reason? XD; Somehow we got to where I was saying I don't recall ever seeing Snapple in Taiwan, but I'd been wanting to drink some before saying that.. I just don't remember why. 8D;; I think we watched the third season? Or almost finishing the third? Let's see... uh.. I last remember the little girl who was allergic to light? And an autistic boy who had worms in his system or something from eating dirt in the sandbox? @[email protected] |
Very true~ :3 <3<3
We actually discuss that a lot in majority of my subjects. :3 Like, in my Journalism class (objectivity when reporting), Philosophy, Political Science (objectivity of studying it), and so on and so forth. =) It's nice to get a lot of perspectives from different fields of interest, after all~ :'D Aww! :< Is it humid there right now? D: And lolz, I get what you mean. xDD;; For the past week we've had rain-sun-rain-rain-sun-rain. @[email protected];; It's all so confusing. >.>;; </3 I guess~ =O And greed in general? =P Hmm... I kinda forgot as well... >.>;; ... OH! I remember! We were talking about the quotes and sayings found on the Snapple bottles. xDD;; ... I think? 8DD;; And ohh! Yeah, I remember those episodes~ =) You should get updated asap! =O The new season is coming this September already! :> <3<3 |
-pounces out of the shadows at Lura- :glomp:
RyRy:: You always have such lovely avatars. ^^ |
Aww, thank you Kita! :3 <3<3
Too bad I just changed though. xDD;; Was getting tired of the previous one. 8DD;; |
! Hi hi, Kitaaa~ :hug:
RyRy - It is. 8D Broadening one's horizons and such, haha~ Nah, it's never humid here. It's just the dry kind of heat.. so all you feel is the heat. XD; In other parts of California though, like in the north, and some places in the south and close to the sea, they at least get occasional breezes to cool the sun's effect. XD Well, yeah, heh. Though I mostly feel like greed starts out as just a dormant seed. And emotional effect is what makes it grow, depending on the degree of that emotion or emotions. Yes, but I couldn't remember the exact reason as to why I needed to go out and drink one. XD It's okay, I'll just watch them by season. I don't have a tv here in my apartment anyway. XDD;; |
Yeah, exactly~ :3 Broadening one's horizons was the term I was looking for. xDD;; <3<3
And really? =O At least it isn't humid then? ^^;; Although I dunno which is worse, to be honest. xDD;; And aww, I love those sunny days with a cool breeze to combat it. :> We only get that sometime between February and March, when the cold weather is starting to go away and the first peaks of summer are starting to show. =P Very nice weather indeed. ^^ <3<3 And hmm, I see your point. =O I'd like to think that greed isn't an "active" emotion that we have as humans (because I'm on the camp that humans are instinctively good, or at the very least neutral), and it's our experiences as we grow up that shape us, including whether or not said inactive emotions will actually manifest itself. =\ And hmm... you have me stumped. ^^;; Oh well, at least I'm assuming you've drank Snapple at last now? xDD;; And ohh, I see. =O But you have a laptop, right? :> <3<3 You can use that? =P |
Hehe~
Yeah, I don't know which is the lesser evil either. XD; For the most part, I believe humans are instinctively neutral, and our experiences (maybe even from the time we're still in our mother's womb) mold us into who we are and who we'll become. But I think that from the moment we start to breathe our own air, see our own sights, and listen to the world we've been carried into, various seeds our planted in our minds, maybe just from having witnessed such 'plants' (growing or full-grown) through some form or forms of our senses. Actually, no, but I should, huh? XD; Yeah... I tried that with Heroes, and after a few days or weeks, I couldn't keep up. So I stopped. XD;;; It's just easier if I have it in dvd form and like, in batches. Kind of like reading books in physical form instead of chapter by chapter online, heh. |
Lolz, me either. xDD;; Both can be evil in their own way then. >.>;; Since we can't decide which is what. ^^;;
Hmm, interesting theory. =O Our theories somewhat coincide then, from what I can see~ =) At least, both of our opinions emphasize the fact that experiences do shape us one way or another~ =P <3<3 And LOLZ, maybe you should? xDD;; Aww, how can you stop watching Heroes? D: It's a good show. :> It's gone a little downhill since Season 2, but somehow picked itself back up in Season 3, Volume 4, so I'm hoping that Season 4, Volume 5 will be at least decent now. xDD;; <3<3 And hmm, true. =O I see your point. ^^;; |
RyRy:: You're welcome! ^.^
Oh well, this one you have now is lovely too! <3 <3 Lura:: Sorry I haven't visited your quest in a while. D8 How's it been going in here? o3o Editz// Hey, do you guys think my avi looks like a princess porcelain doll? :/ |
