Kanone carried the plates over to the door carefully and then pulled it open with his free hand before stepping out into the hall again and closing it behind him. Once he was back int he hall he took the other plate off of his arm and carried it in his hand like he was carrying the other one. He glanced around for a few moments and then sighed softly and started back out to the court yard again, glancing around a bit for Aamori, though he guessed she must still be in there with Celestine. He just sighed and moved back over to the fountain and sat down on the ground with his legs outstretched in front of him. He just sat both plates down on his lap and started to pick at his chicken. He figured Aamori would come back pretty soon, so he'd just wait.
Kyiri had still been laying out in the courtyard, curled up behind the fountain to sleep for a while, though she had woken up when Kanone and Aamori came back. She hadn't really bothered to get up until she started to smell the chicken. Only then did she get to her feet and step around the fountain. She sniffed the air and her ears perked up at the smell of something good. She hadn't eaten since yesterday, so by now she was starting to get pretty hungry as she was used to at the very least two meals per day. She looked at Kanone and mewed once, though when he ignored her she started to swish her tails irritably and then moved a little closer and sniffed at the second plate. Well...Kanone didn't need two of these. She looked at him again and then laid her ears back and backed up slightly when he shooed her off and then huffed and walked back around the fountain again. She slipped all the way around to the other side and then crouched down for a moment before raising her hiney into the air and wiggling it just before she made a running pounce at him from the other side. She dove over his legs and snatched the chicken breast from Aamori's plate on her way and then scampered off across the courtyard and placed her paws on top of it while she tore off a bit to eat. Kanone blinked when Kyiri dove at him from the other side and then groaned. "Damn it, Kyiri!" he snapped at her, though he couldn't very well get up and the moment. He huffed and glowered across the courtyard at her and then grumbled. "You better enjoy that... I'm going to beat you when I get up..." Celestine looked back to Aamori again and then shook his head slightly. He wasn't really worried about them playing, he just figured he needed to keep a better eye on Kyiri and where she was running to. "No....I'm alright." he said simply when she asked if he needed anything. He watched Nobu get up and then smiled weakly when he heard his back crack and then sighed softly. He looked back to Esen and then slipped over to the edge of the bed himself and stood up, mostly to stretch. "...But I do need to get these two something to eat..." he added as an after thought. He looked back to Esen again and then tilted his head slightly. '...What do you eat?' Esen looked back to Celestine again and then tilted her head slightly. '...Different things...I like fish...and berries....but I can get it myself.' She wasn't all that picky, and for the most part ate almost like a large bird. She would eat fish if one was unlucky enough to jump out of the water while she was around or swim too close to the surface, of she would eat rabbits, or other small animals...mostly whatever she could get her teeth on. She was pretty used to hunting for herself since she hadn't been staying with her so called master at all since the blades had been handed to him. Celestine smiled slightly and shook his head. He planned to get get something anyway. He somehow doubted that she would want to go out on her own on this little island, and there wasn't really anywhere she could hunt that he noticed. "You two want to come out?" he asked out loud as he started to turn for the door. |
Aamori watched when Nobu got down off the bed and guessed by the cracking of his back that he must have been a little stiff from laying like he had. She looked back to Celestine when he answered her question and gave a slight nod before watching him get up from the bed as well. She gave another nod of her head when he said that he needed to get the canines something to eat. "I think the only one of the three of them here who's been eating regularly is Zale." She paused. "But that's only because the guards do a good job of filling him up with treats." If you could even really call what they gave him treats. It was mostly pieces of fish cut up small enough to pass as a treat. So having enough of those in one day she guessed could qualify as having eaten. She continued to stand there for a moment until Celestine had asked them if they wanted to go out. When she noticed Nobu turn back to face the door she scooted herself over to the door so that she could open it so that they could go out if they were going to.
Nobu's ears perked slightly at the mention of going outside and he started to turn for the door. He certainly was ready for some air and some food. In which order.. he didn't really care, so long as he got both. He wasn't all that surprised hearing that Esen could get her own food. He actually expected that since she'd been living on her own for so long. The only reason he didn't really know how to fend for himself was because he got to live in Kyran's house and he or Minako usually fed him. Once Aamori had gone to open the door he started to head that way. After she had it open he slipped out into the hall and stood there for a moment before shaking his fur out and then continuing on into the courtyard. |
Celestine nodded slgithly when she started to open the door and sighed, "Yeah...I need to keep a better eye on that." he said quietly. Even though Nobu was Kyran's pet he seemed to be the only one even trying to remember to feed him, though that was probably mostly because he was spending so much time with him now. "...I guess I need to feed Kyiri, too. I doubt Kanone's fed her since yesterday." He waited for Nobu to get out into the hallway and then glanced back to Esen and watched her hop off of the bed and move over to the door after Nobu. He glanced to Aamori and then moved out into the hall as well. He stretched up on his toes a little as he moved forward, trying to stretch his legs since he'd spent the whole day curled up the way that he had. He sighed and glanced back to Aamori before he started toward the courtyard as well, only to stop again when he saw Kyiri eating something and Kanone looking about ready to explode. "...Again?"
Esen watched as Nobu went to the door when then slowly climbed off of the bed to follow him. She walked slowly toward the door and then practically scurried outside to get past Aamori. Once she was outside again she glanced around and then slowly followed Nobu out to the courtyard before she stretched out a bit herself. She looked over to Celestine and then out toward the little feline that had tried to attack her tails the day before. She shook her head slightly and then started to walk off toward the other side of the courtyard. Kanone looked up again and huffed when he heard Celestine, "Well at least it wasn't my food this time. You need to do something with that stupid cat!" he grumbled as he sat Aamori's now chicken-less plate on the edge of the fountain before he stood up with his own. He sighed heavily, "Damn I wish I'd left that thing at home..." he grumbled. Celestine sighed heavily and walked over to Kyiri, only to pick her up and stare at her. "Kyiri...you wait to bed fed, stop stealing people's food." he told her, like he thought she could understand. He tried to look stern, but when she reached out to try to paw at his nose he couldn't help but smile. As much as he wanted to be mad, he really couldn't. He sighed and pulled her closer to him before wrapping his arms around her. "Darn you and being so cute." he said quietly. He stroked her fur once and then shook his head and sat her back down, though he didn't leave the chicken on the ground for her. "You're not keeping this." he told her as he took the chicken away. He didn't plan to just let her have it after she stole it off of Aamori's plate, though he wasn't sure what else to do with it. He knew that Nobu wouldn't eat it and he highly doubted that Aamori wanted it after Kyiri had taken a few chunks out of it. He sighed and looked over to Esen. "Esen...want it?" he asked. He waited for her to look at him and wag her tails before he tossed it over to her and watched her snag it and eat it in just a few bites. He looked down at Kyiri when he heard her mewing and squalling because he'd tossed her chicken but he just shook his head. "I'm not rewarding you for thievery. You can just eat tomorrow unless Aamori feels like forgiving you." |
Nobu continued to stand where he was for a moment, mostly enjoying being unconfined. He couldn't complain though, he liked being helpful and as of late it seemed he was doing a good job of that. Once Esen had gone off to the other side of the courtyard he started in that direction himself only to come to a stop a couple feet shy of her and sit down. He glanced back towards Celestine after he had tried to reprimand Kyiri and watched as he offered Esen the spoils of Kyiri's little hunt. He shook his head lightly. Well this was certainly something interesting to wake up to.
Aamori waited for Celestine and Esen to leave the room before she started to shut the door. Though she had paid a little more attention to Esen since she'd scurried off like she did once she got past her. That canine sure was a shy one. She sighed softly and then headed to the courtyard herself, only to glance at Kanone and then over at Kyiri. She couldn't help but chuckle quietly to herself. She wasn't all that upset about Kyiri making off with part of her dinner. After all the poor cat hadn't had anything to eat either and she can't really fend for herself, well, in this case she did, kind of. After Celestine had tossed the stolen chicken over to Esen she smiled slightly and looked at Kanone. "Thank you anyway, Kanone. I appreciate the effort." She paused. "But you don't have to get so upset. After all, it wasn't your food this time, right?" There was plenty more where it came from and it wasn't like Annan and Kanu were going to just randomly be completely out of food. She looked over at Celestine after the mentioning of forgiving Kyiri. Again she smiled slightly. "I don't think I can be mad at her when she was just taking it upon herself to get fed when no one was around to feed her for most of the day." She paused and shrugged slightly. "How can one possibly punish an animal for taking care of themselves when the people around it do nothing?" She sighed softly. She really couldn't be mad at Kyiri, even if Kanone was. Kyiri had done nothing more than anyone else would've if they hadn't eaten in a while. Besides, if it hadn't been Kyiri she was pretty sure Zale would've gone for it if he was still here. "Anyway... there is plenty of food and I'm sure I can have Annan fix up something specifically for Kyiri." |
Kanone sighed heavily and then shook his head. "...It's not my cat, why does everyone always expect me to feed it?" he muttered. He really wasn't much of a cat person, and Kyiri was annoying, so he didn't really like fooling with her. He glanced over to Esen and smiled slightly, 'glad to see that at least she got to get something out of this. She seemed pretty content with the chicken as she just laid down after eating it.
Celestine smiled at Aamori and nodded in agreement. He wasn't angry with Kyiri either since Kanone had gotten something to feed himself and nothing for her. Personally, Celestine always made sure the animals were fed before he worried about himself, or at least tried. "Well, sounds like you're in luck, Kyiri." he said quietly. He reached down to pick her up again and stroked her silvery fur while she rubbed her head under his chin. After a moment she jumped out of his hands and scampered over to rub around Aamori's legs while pouring loud enough for him to hear her where she stood. She smiled and shook his head before looking over to Kanone again. "...Then don't worry about it, I'll take care of her." he said simply. "...With you, it's probably a good thing that Esen is able to get her own food...you're too irresponsible to own a pet." he said simply as he started toward the kitchen. Kanone could have easily gotten her something before he left or when they came back, or even just now, but he hadn't even bothered. True, Celestine could have gotten it himself before he went back to bed, but at the time he could barely even stand to be in the upright position, so he had at least hoped someone would have fed her for him. Apparently if it was left up to Kanone, Kyiri would be doing good if she got to eat once per day. Esen raised her head slightly when she heard Celestine getting onto Kanone and then huffed softly and laid her head back down again before glancing over to Nobu. 'I've been saddled with an imbecile...' he muttered, mostly to herself, though Nobu could probably pick up on her disgruntled tone if he was listening. Kanone seemed nice enough, but as Celestine said...he was irresponsible, and she didn't think that he had sense enough to carry her blades. He barely even knew how to use them. |
Aamori smiled slightly down at Kyiri when she came over to her and then sighed quietly hearing Kanone. To her it didn't really matter who exactly fed the cat and or canines, so long as they got fed. On this trip it wasn't always going to be convenient for Celestine to look after them and someone else might have to see to their needs so to her, at least for the time being, who ever happened to be around should take care of it. She shook her head a little. "Animal's can't always get their own food, as the higher species for lack of better words it's our job to take care of them... especially when they're pets." She commented quietly. "And... you know... you aren't very different from Kyiri, Kanone." She paused. "...When you first got here, be it joking or not, you expected me to see to it that you got fed... and I did, no questions asked." She shook her head a little. "If I was like you then you'd have starved until I remembered that you needed to eat." She sighed again quietly and watched as Celestine started off towards the kitchen. She glanced back to Kanone briefly. "...I guess it really doesn't matter one way or the other." She paused. "It isn't your cat, after all." She added as she knelt down to pat Kyiri on the head, assuming she hadn't run off yet. "You know what Kyiri... you aren't my kitty either, but if Celestine can't feed you... I'll make sure you get fed." She said and then stood up and started to follow after Celestine while he was headed to the kitchen.
Nobu had continued to sit up and listen to the back and forth chatter between them. After he heard Esen he glanced over at her and then his ears laid back a little. '....Unfortunately ...it seems that way.' He responded. 'The plus side to his lack of caring for animals... he is pretty nice in most other departments, I believe.' |
Kanone stared at Aamori and then sighed heavily, "Hey, don't you start on me, too... I hate that stupid cat." he said simply. Kyiri usually ended up making a hole in his hand every time he tried to feed her something if he was holding it, and usually scratched him if he didn't put it down fast enough for her living, and for some reason, he was the only one that she did it to. So to him, it seemed only natural to not want to feed her. He had been only joking with Aamori about getting him food...he was pretty sure he could have asked around and figured out where the food was to get it himself. Kyiri was a cat, for Pete's sake, she could go out and catch a bird or something.
Kyiri looked up at Aamori and mewed before trying to lick her hand and then watched her start after Celestine. She stood there for a moment before she scampered over to Kanone again and looked up at him with those big amber eyes and mewed. She sniffed at his chicken again until he swatted at her and then scurried over to Nobu again. She crawled up onto his back and started prancing around in circled before curling up in his fur, still purring loudly. Obviously, she was pretty fond of Nobu, or at least how soft and warm he was. Celestine just shook his head as he made his way to the kitchen and started inside, holding the door when he realized that Aamori was behind him. He sighed softly and let it go before starting over toward the counter and waiting for Aamori. He glanced back to see where the cooks where and then sighed softly. Well at least these guys got off easy with him. All he wanted was fruit or some form of vegetation. He was a little hungry at the moment, but he could still go without eating. He may just steal one of Nobu's fruits and call it a day. Esen glanced back to Nobu again and sighed. 'Maybe... But I could very easily see this this guy snapping my blades and then just saying 'oopes.'' she thought back. she watched the little kitten crawl up on his back and then tilted her head slightly. '...she's cute.' Kanone sighed as he watched the others go and then continued eating a little bit of his food. He shooed Kyiri away from him again and watched her scamper over to Nobu before he finished off the rest of his potatoes and whenever else was on his plate. He had finished most of his chicken but there was still a little bit left. After a moment he glanced over to Esen and smiled slightly before picking up what was left of his chicken and setting the plate down on the edge of the fountain. He walked over to her slowly and knelt down near her. "Hey...you still hungry?" he asked as he held out what he had left. Kyiri wasn't his cat, but it seemed like Esen was his now, so he could at lest try with her...even though she didn't seem too fond of him. Esen looked back to Kanone when he held out the chicken and then stared at him. She huffed and then turned her head away and laid it back down with a quiet grumble. Kanone blinked when then smiled weakly. "...Give me a break...don't tell me you're mad at me for not feeling the fricking cat, too." he said as he continued to hold the chicken out to her. After a moment he sighed heavily and just dropped the chicken on the ground. "...Alright, fine... be that way." he said glumly as he stood up again and started to head back toward the dishes to make sure he had everything gathered up. He assumed he was supposed to just take them back to the kitchen. Esen glanced over to the chicken when he dropped it and then raised her head slightly when he started away. She huffed softly and laid her head back down, though after a moment she almost reluctantly grabbed the chicken in her teeth and ate it before looking after Kanone again. She wasn't really sure if she wanted to go after him for not. She didn't really like him as a master, but he did seem alright as a person. |
Aamori followed Celestine to the kitchen and smiled a little since he'd held the door open. She continued over to the counter after him and glanced around a little for Annan or Kanu. When she didn't see either of them in the front area she guessed they must have been in the back. Rather than call out for them she stepped closer to the counter and then climbed up over it so that she was on the other side. She'd done it enough times in the past that Annan almost expected it of her when she came into the kitchen. After all she learned how to grill fish by climbing over the counter and pestering Annan to teach her. She stood there for a moment before she headed back towards the back room and peeked her head in. "Hey.. Annan?" She paused and stared over at him when she saw him reorganizing one of their shelves. "Can we get you to make us some stuff?" She asked. "It'll be simple, I promise." She added.
Annan stopped what he was doing when he heard Aamori's voice and smiled with a nod. "Of course... but did you really have to come back here just to ask me?" He asked with a laugh. "You know calling for me from the other side of that counter works just as well." He pointed out and then started over to the door where she was peeking in at. "What all do you need?" Aamori shook her head lightly. "I haven't been back here in awhile, so I thought I'd just come back." She responded and then started to step away from the doorway to head back towards the counter. "I need another plate of dinner, a kitty that's staying here ran off with my part of my dinner... so I need a new one." She paused. "Oh... and something special for the cat since she hasn't really eaten and the chicken she stole was given away." She said as she leaned against the counter a little. "Then... whatever Celestine needs, too." |
Celestine tilted his head slightly when he saw Aamori go crawling over to counter and opened his mouth to ask if she was allowed to do that, though he only closed it before he even asked. As far as he knew Aamori could do just about anything she wanted in here short of go outside or go downstairs. He watched her as she went around to the back and then sighed softly when he heard her coming back. He half smiled and shook his head slightly, only half smiling because it kind of hurt to move the side of this face that had been smacked with Nanashi's tail. After she told what she needed and then said 'and whatever Celestine needs' he just looked over the counter at her. "You know what I eat." he said simply as he looked at her though he shifted his gave over to Annan and then sighed. "I just need some fruit for Nobu." he told him. He wasn't going to make the guy go through anything super to make him something to eat that he probably wouldn't eat a whole lot of anyway.
Kanone just gathered up the two plates, stacking Aamori's on top of his and then laid all of the silverware on top before he started back toward the kitchen again. He just walked over tot he counter without really paying attention to Aamori or Celestine and just sat the plates down, offering a half smile to Annan before he turned around and left again. He blinked when he got back to the hallway and saw Esen standing in front of him. He stared at her for a moment and then smiled and reached out slowly to stroke her head before he smiled. "...Need something?" Esen watched as Kanone headed back tot he kitchen and then sighed softly and stood up slowly and followed him. She waited outside until he had come back out and then took one slow step toward him. Her tails wagged slightly when he started rubbing her ears and she leaned her head into his hand and then pulled back so she could lick his hand. She shook her head when he asked if she needed anything; she just felt a little bad for hurting his feelings before. She guessed she could at least give him a chance. |
Annan nodded to Aamori after hearing her requests and then cast his glance towards Celestine since she'd said what ever he had needed too. After he got a request from him as well he started to turn around to start getting everything together. Though he paused when he saw Kanone had come back inside and set the plates down. He smiled at him and started over to pick up the plates. He was a little surprised to see him just leave after that and without a word. Especially since the guy had talked as much as he had the last time he'd come inside. He shook his head lightly and went to set the plates down near the sink and then start working on what Aamori and Celestine had asked for.
Aamori smiled and nodded to Annan after he'd acknowledged what she'd asked for and then looked over at Celestine to hear his comment that she knew what he ate. She stared at him for a moment and then shook her head a little with a slight smile on her face. "Yes, I do know what you eat and it wouldn't have mattered anyway. You asked for food for Nobu, not yourself." She pointed out. She shifted her glance slightly when Kanone came in to set down the plates and then watched as he started to leave. She sighed and shook her head. She probably could've just kept her mouth shut and not said anything to him about the cat, but she couldn't help it. It was her natural habit after all to do things without thinking it through and in this case she spoke without thinking. After Annan had gone and started working she took this moment to climb back over the counter so that she was ont the same side as Celestine once again. |
Celestine looked back to Aamori again and shrugged slightly when she said that it didn't matter because he'd only asked for food for Nobu. "Mm...I may steal one." he said simply before he glanced over to Kanone. He watched him lay the plates down and walk back out and then sighed again. It was a little too obvious that he was bothered, but then again he probably should have been. Still he had that urge to go ask him if he was alright, but he refrained. After all, he was supposed to be mad at him. He watched as Aamori crawled back over the counter and looked at her for a moment before he leaned his elbows against it and sighed softly while he waited.
Kanone smiled a little when Esen started to lick his hand and then resumed petting her again once she had stopped. After a moment he sighed and leaned his head down against hers lightly and wrapped his arms loosely around her neck. "...Good girl..." he said quietly before raising his head a little. He smiled at her again and then lowered his arms again so he could stroke her fur some more. Esen sighed softly and leaned her head against him a little when he wrapped his arms around her and briefly raised one paw to put on his back. 'I'm sorry...I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.' she told him quietly. She was just being a little moody at the moment when he decided to come over. When he pulled his arms back she raised her head slightly to lick his chin and then nuzzled him once before she started back toward Nobu again. |
Aamori glanced over at Celestine and shook her head a little. "You're not supposed to steal food or is that just something that you try to teach Kyiri not to do?" She asked with a slight smile. At least to her the two didn't seem that different. Taking food from an animal was just as bad as an animal taking food from you. She glanced back towards the kitchen and watched for a moment while Annan was preparing the foods he was asked to. After a few moments she looked back over at Celestine. "...How is your face doing?" She asked now that she was thinking about it briefly. He had been bruised on his face and bruises didn't exactly go away completely in a day or two. So she wondered how that was feeling as well.
Nobu barely moved an inch after Kyiri had gotten onto his back and laid down. He didn't really want to disturb her so he just sat there quietly trying not to move. So far it was starting to look like her served more as a pillow than anything. He'd just gotten free of Celestine minutes ago and now he was stuck with Kyiri laying on him. Well... maybe he didn't really mind too much. But then again it'd be nice to go more than a few minutes before being turned into someone's personal pillow. |
Celestine glanced over to Aamori again when she asked if that was just something that he tried to teach Kyiri to do. "I don't really think Nobu would care; he all but swallows the things whole anyway." he said simply, "But if you would like I could ask him first." he said simply. He didn't really care wither way, he could come back for some for himself or he could just go without eating. Either way it didn't really matter to him. When she asked about his cheek he just raised his hand to the bruise and then glanced away slightly. "...It's fine."he said simply as he lowered his hand again. It was still pretty sore, but that was to be expected, it was a bruise after all. His cheek had already gone from red to deep purple all along his cheek bone, so it was getting hard to hide.
Kanone glanced over to Nobu when he saw Esen heading over in that direction and smiled slightly before starting over there. He knelt down in front of him and smiled before running his head. "Poor Nobu, can't win for losing, can you?" he said with a soft laugh, "At least she's small." Esen walked over to Nobu and looked down at the little feline curiously before leaning over a little to sniff of it. She yelped and stumbled backwards when Kyiri suddenly hissed and arched her back at her, noticing Kanone do about the same thing while shouting 'shit.' She whined and lowered her head while backing up and then laid down. Kyiri blinked when she felt a nose ruffling her fur. She looked back to see the head of the big green dog who'd ended up with her chicken. She was still a little peeved about loosing the chicken, and was half expecting something disgusting like cat food to be brought to her now so she wasn't too happy with this dog, and didn't really want to play so she spat at her and raised her fur, actually a little surprised to see how effective that was. After she'd scared the dog and Kanone off she just curled right back up on Nobu and nuzzled him again. Kanone just stared at Kyiri with wide eyes from where he was now sitting on his butt in front of Nobu. "...Demon cat!" |
Aamori shook her head slightly. "I think asking might be a little pointless... dogs don't talk.. so I doubt he'd respond." She said, obviously still unaware that these particular canines had the ability to speak telepathically. She watched him when he lifted his hand to his cheek and then smiled weakly when he said it was fine. "...Does it hurt any?" Considering what color it was she couldn't resist asking if it hurt. Just because he said it was fine didn't mean it didn't hurt, in her eyes anyway. She turned her eyes back into the kitchen to see how Annan was coming along. She guessed he was waiting until he was finished completely to bring the dishes over because it looked like he had already gotten the fruit together and the plate she asked for and now it looked like he was just getting the food ready for Kyiri.
Nobu lifted his head slightly when Kanone touched him and spoke to him. He started to lower his head a little, at least until he heard the commotion coming from the cat on his back side. He had tried to turn his head to look at her to see what was wrong. He glanced over at Esen once Kyiri had laid back down on him. '...I want to say she may be cranky...' He paused. 'But I'm not sure...' Kyiri seemed fine with him and then she didn't seem too bothered by Zale so he really couldn't see her disliking only Esen and if she did it couldn't have been because she was a dog, after all, so was he and Zale. |
Celestine chuckled softly when Aamori said that dogs couldn't talk. Oh little did she know... "...Well I have ways of understanding animals." he said with a half smile. It was true enough, he could usually tell what one wanted even if it couldn't talk like Nobu. He sighed softly when she asked if it hurt. "Not much..." he said quietly. It mostly only hurt if he pressed on it or if he twisted his face up enough to make that section move. "Don't worry about it, it's fine, really." he told her again while offering her a little smile.
Esen looked back to Nobu and whined again. 'I hope so... I wasn't trying to scare her.' though she didn't think that she would considering that she was even smaller than Nobu and Zale and the thing seemed fine around the two of them. She looked over to Kanone and then sighed slightly and just decided to curl up where she was. All she seemed to be accomplishing today was upsetting people...and cats. Kanone looked at Esen and then sighed and sat back on his knees again and looked at Kyiri. He shook his head and then reached out and grabbed her face with his hand while rolling her off of Nobu's back. "You're just mad because you didn't get to keep that chicken, aren't you, you little pest?" he asked as he roughed her up a bit. She was mewing and pushing against hie hand with her front and back paws, clawing him a little, but he didn't really care as long as she didn't rip his arm off. He could tell he was ticking her off, but he just grinned. "Evil cat." |
Aamori looked back over at Celestine when he answered her question and sighed quietly. Not much still meant it hurt a little. She smiled slightly when he repeated that it was fine and then glanced away. She went back to watching Annan for a few moments before she looked back at Celestine from out of the corner of her eye and smiled very slightly. She stood where she was a bit longer and then inched closer to him and without much warning leaned over to lightly kiss his cheek just shy of where he'd been bruised and then pulled away, returning to where she'd been standing before and cast her glance off to the side since she had a faint hint of pink to her face. It may have been childish but she did think that kisses could make things feel better.
Annan was just now finally finishing up what he was making for Kyiri. Of course this was after Aamori had kissed Celestine's cheek. He'd pretty much ignored them while they were waiting so he wasn't even the slightest bit aware of what was going on or being said between them. He started to pick up the bowl with fruit in it and the plate for Aamori and carried them over and set them down on the counter in front of the perspective person before walking back to grab the smaller bowl he'd prepared for the cat. He set it down near Aamori and then finally looked up. "I assumed the cat ate chicken, so I just cut up a breast into smaller pieces and added a little gravy to it so that it was a bit more moist." He explained. Kyiri was kind of in luck. They didn't normally serve cats or dogs for that matter so there was no 'cat food'. She'd get to eat like anyone else would just with the food prepared a little differently. Nobu continued to look over at Esen while he sat there. 'I know you weren't.' He responded. He startled slightly when he felt Kyiri roll off his back and immediately thought he must have moved to cause her to fall off of him. That thought changed rather quickly when he heard Kanone and then he shifted to see what he was doing to Kyiri. He stood up and stared down at Kyiri for a moment while she tried to get free of Kanone's hand. He figured that Kanone wasn't going to be leaving her alone right away since he was letting her claw him. He shook his head a little annoyed himself. Kyiri hadn't done anything in his eyes to deserve being messed with like that and it was obvious that she didn't like it. He lunged forward a little clamped his mouth down on Kanone's other hand; Refusing to let go until he left Kyiri alone. |
Celestine just shook his head slightly after he looked away again. He was just watching for the cook to finish with the dishes so he could go feed Nobu. He startled a little and stiffened briefly when he felt something against his cheek, though it only took him a second to realize what it was. His eyes widened slightly and he glanced over to Aamori again before glancing away again, his cheeks flooding with color. "...Wh-what was that for?" he asked quietly, though he looked up almost immediately after he'd said it as the dishes were sat down in front of them. He reached out automatically to take the bowl and nodded. "Thank you." he said quietly before he heard what he was saying about the cat's food. He glanced at the bowl and smiled slightly, "Thanks...she'll like that." he said in that same quiet voice.
Kanone was just amusing himself pestering Kyiri. He thought it was pretty good pay back for all the annoying moments she had; it served her to get some of that back occasionally. His eyes widened when he felt a sharp pain in his other hand and reflexively jerked his hand back hard to get away from the pain, though all he managed to do was tear his skin. "Ow!!" he yelped as he pulled his other hand away from Kyiri, earning himself a few long scratches over his hand, though those didn't hurt quite as bad as his other hand. He shoved against Nobu's nose. "Damn it, let go that hurts!" he said quickly. He didn't know why Nobu was biting him; he wasn't hurting the stupid cat, but annoying him. Esen's head shot up again when she heard Kanone yelp and then she stood up. 'Nobu, don't bite!' she whined. She didn't really like Kanone annoying the cat either, but she was pretty sure the cat was doing a good enough job of tearing his hand up without Nobu's help. Frankly, Esen probably wouldn't bite unless she was backed into a corner and didn't have much of a choice, and she didn't really see sense in biting otherwise. Kyiri rolled onto her feet again and looked up at Kanone with another hiss before she pounced onto his leg and dug all ten front claws into his leg and then tried to bite him through his pants while all three of her tails swished violently behind him. Unfortunately for her her mouth was a little too small to actually get a hold of his leg,s o all she got was a mouth full of cloth. |
Aamori's color to her cheeks became a little more noticeable when she heard Celestine's question. She guessed it wasn't obvious since he asked and she could just hear him telling her that her reasoning was childish. She glanced back over to him briefly. "...To make the hurt go away." She mumbled quietly, almost a little embarrassed to admit that to him. That really was something a little kid would say... or a mother to their child. She shifted her glance to Annan when he started to explain about the food for Kyiri. The color to her face worsened slightly now that she was thinking about it. Annan had been right there in the room the whole time and she wondered what all he had been paying attention to. She gave a weak nod after he'd finished speaking and then glanced back to Celestine again briefly before looking down at the plate and bowl that Annan had put in front of her. "...Thank you, Annan." She said quietly and then started to pick them up one at a time.
Annan glanced between the two of them for a moment, noticing the color of both their faces easily. He hadn't heard anything between them except for the last things they'd said. Celestine's question and Aamori's answer. Of course with just that he couldn't really put anything together. He could make a couple guesses but he didn't really care so there was no need to bother. He smiled a bit once they had both thanked him and looked at Celestine when he said that the cat would like that. "I'm glad. When she needs to be fed just come in here and let me know, I'll go ahead and start preparing some stuff for her and keep it refrigerated." Making food for cats was pretty easy and it could be made in advance and kept in the fridge until the cat needed to eat. It probably helped Kyiri that he was kind of a cat person. Between cats and dogs he preferred cats. Nobu had already started to loosen his grip on Kanone's hand when he jerked it away. As soon as he tasted the blood he wanted nothing to do with biting him but he didn't want to release him until he'd left Kyiri alone. Once he saw Kanone's hand move from Kyiri he was going to let go but in the process he got a nice shove against the nose. He took a good couple steps back once he had let go of Kanone's hand and immediately ran his paw over his nose a couple times as he gagged loudly then he soon found himself trying to eat the grass, in large quantities. Anything to get the taste of blood out of his mouth. Though the more grass he was eating the less it seemed it was really helping. He let out a very low whine, extremely unsatisfied with the taste stuck in his mouth. He was too concerned with the taste in his mouth to even bother with responding to Esen and he would've liked to have pulled Kyiri off of Kanone but his taste buds too precedence over anything else at the moment. |
Celestine blinked at her answer and glanced back to her briefly, though he glanced away again with a shy half smile. He got rather annoyed with Aamori when she was being childish and hyper, but some of the thing she did he did find rather sweet. He looked back to Annan again and nodded slightly. "Alright. Thank you very much." he said quietly, "I'm going to go feel Nobu now." he said in the same quiet voice while averting his eyes. He didn't glanced at Aamori briefly before he started toward the door, still looking a bit embarrassed. Obviously he was just in a hurry to get out of there with Annan standing right there when she did that. Celestine was a bit shy matured so he always either cam off as disinterested or almost rude in his hurry to get out of a situation, though with the color in his cheeks this time it was pretty clear that he just wanted to go hide his face for a bit.
Kanone looked at Nobu for a second when he started trying to eat the grass and then blinked before he finally reached down and snagged Kyiri by the nap of the neck. "Get off!" He snapped at her as he tossed her a couple of feet, though not violently. He rubbed his leg and then looked down at his bleeding hand and looked back to Nobu again. "What are you doing?" He asked, though he still sounded rather irritated even with him...well especially with him considering that he was the one that bit him. "Mmm..." he rubbed his hand slightly and then sighed when he realized that he was just smearing blood around and not really helping the pain. Thankfully, the bite wasn't all that bad. Esen tilted her head slightly as she watched Nobu gag and try to scarf up half of the grass. He had no idea what the heck he was doing; after all the taste of blood didn't bother her in the slightest. 'Um...Nobu...are you...alright?' he asked sheepishly as she inched a little closer and lowered her head a little like she was trying to look up at him. Kyiri landed on her feet about three feet away from Kanone and simply turned around to hiss at him again, though her attention was soon caught by Nobu as he flailed around. She tilted her head slightly and then shook her head and just marched off to go lay by the fountain again, still looking agitated. |
Aamori held onto the plate and the bowl once she picked them up and glanced over at Annan when he said that he'd prepare food for Kyiri and keep it in the fridge. That was nice of him and since she knew that if Kyiri was hungry when Annan and Kanu weren't here at night she knew where to go to get food for her. She was a little embarrassed herself that Annan had been right there the whole time and even now but she tried to ignore it as best as she could. She looked over at Celestine a little when he said he was going to go feed Nobu and then she cast her eyes down to the bowl she had for Kyiri. She needed to get that to her; Since the chicken had been taken away from her before she was probably even more hungry now. She waited until Celestine had already started for the door to turn and follow after him with her stuff. She just hoped he wasn't in such a hurry to get out of here that he wouldn't hold the door open for her. Otherwise navigating that door with her hands full was going to be a little difficult.
Annan laughed quietly to himself after both Celestine and Aamori had started to leave the room. He had no idea what had gone on between the two of them but he kind of guessed that whatever it was must have embarrassed the two of them. He shook his head lightly and turned around to start getting the things together that he was going to need to work on those pre-made meals for the cat. After he was done with that he was going to go back to what he was doing before Aamori interrupted him. Nobu continued to try and kill the taste with as much grass as he possibly could but once he'd come to the conclusion that it honestly was doing nothing for him to eat the grass any longer he stopped and just plopped himself down where he'd been standing and started rubbing his paw over his nose again. The taste, since he hated it, was strong enough that he could even smell it. His ears dropped down and he let out another low whine before lifting his head again slightly to look up at Esen. He barely paid any attention to her actually moving closer to him until now when he was giving up on getting the taste out of his mouth. He turned his head to look over at Kanone for a moment and then dropped his head down. '...I don't eat meat... so I can't stand the taste of blood...' He paused. '...I was trying to get it out...' He responded so that Kanone could hear him too. He really hadn't meant to make Kanone bleed; Knowing how much he hated the taste that was the last thing he wanted to do but when Kanone jerked his hand like that there just was no avoiding it. |
Celestine was nice enough to wait at the door and hold it until Aamori had gotten to it since he still had one hand. He motioned for her to go out first and then pulled the door shut behind him. He side glanced over to her briefly and cleared his throat quietly. "Um...thanks...for the thought." he all but whispered before he started to move across the hall to the court yard again. He didn't look at her again, he just kept going, looking a little more embarrassed now.
Kanone stared at Nobu and then sighed softly and shook his head. "...Well then don't bite me next time..." he muttered, "I don't really like bleeding either... and don't even tell me I shouldn't have pulled my hand back because it couldn't really be helped." He rubbed his hand a little again until he heard someone coming up behind them. he quickly tried to hide his hand in his pocket so Celestine wouldn't see it since he somehow had a feeling that if he found out he was bugging Kyiri he'd have a sore head, too. Esen's ears laid back slightly when Nobu told her what was wrong and she sighed softly. She didn't bother to comment since she...kind of agreed with Kanone on that one; if you bit something living you were bound to taste blood. She shook her head slightly and walked over to him again to lick the side of his face. 'Silly...' she said before moving to lay back down in the grass beside him when she heard Celestine coming back. Celestine came to a stop just behind Kanone and then sat down with a sigh. He glanced at Kanone and then looked at Nobu, noticing something looked a little off. "Here..." he said as he picked one of the fruits out of the bowl and held it out to him with only his thumb on one side and middle finger on the other so that it would be easy from him to take without biting him. "Are you alright, Nobu?" |
Aamori smiled a bit when she saw that Celestine had held the door and of course when he motioned she hurried slightly through the door being careful not to drop anything. She glanced over to him after he had shut the door and cleared his throat. She smiled a bit softer after just barely catching what he said as started to move again. "...You're welcome." She said quietly in response. Now that they weren't standing right there in front of Annan she wasn't quite as embarrassed, if at all really. It probably helped that no one out here was any wiser of her kissing Celestine's cheek. She was kind of happy that she got the chance to do that. She'd thought about doing it before, very briefly but wanted a good excuse to use as a cover up on the off chance her feelings were one sided. Unfortunately she'd never had feelings for someone else and she really was new to the whole thing so she had no idea how to even tell if someone else liked her unless they came right out and said it. Or well.. make enough compliments like Kanone has to make it a little more clear to her. She stood there for a moment longer before she started closer to the courtyard herself to look for Kyiri. She was sure Kyiri would be happy to see what was in the bowl, especially since Celestine had even said she would. Once she was able to her eyes scanned the courtyard for Kyiri. It didn't take too long to spot her near the fountain. She stepped back into the hall for a moment and walked around, past a couple of the arches until she could come out of the one nearest the fountain. She stepped over to the fountain and sat down on the edge of it and then started to set the bowl down on the ground beside it. "Here, Kyiri." She said with a smile. "Annan must like cats, he made you something nice." She said as she took her hand away from the bowl and set her plate down in her lap.
Nobu gagged quietly once more and then looked towards Kanone again only to turn up his nose slightly. He bit Kanone because he wasn't really sure talking to him was going to make him leave Kyiri alone and he couldn't think of anything else at the moment. Since he had no intention of drawing blood he didn't think he'd do that. He hadn't bitten down too terribly hard he thought, but then again his jaw was probably stronger than he thought. All he wanted to say to Kanone right now was to not pester the cat like that but words with him right now were probably useless. Or at least he thought so. He glanced to Esen when she walked over to him again and froze momentarily when she licked the side of his face. When he moved again he shook his head slightly. He then went straight into licking his tongue against the top of his mouth, still trying to rid himself of that taste. Sadly it seemed like it was going to be with him for a little while. It probably didn't help that he focused on the fact that he hated the taste and rather disliked the smell. When Celestine came back and held a fruit out to him he didn't take it right away. He actually stared at it almost reluctant to even touch it. He didn't want the taste of blood to ruin the fruit for him but on the other hand he was half starved. He finally did reach out and take the fruit carefully from Celestine and he made sure to overly chew the thing in hopes that it might help drown out of the taste of blood in his mouth. That of course would stick out as something being wrong because he never really chewed his food. He looked at Celestine and shook his head a little. 'Not particularly.' He paused. 'I've got a monstrous taste in my mouth...' |
Kyiri's ears perked up when she heard Aamori coming and she looked up at her, still seeming a bit agitated until she sat the bowl down. She stood up with an enthusiastic 'mew!' and then plunged her face into the bowl so she could eat. She was still hungry, and the gravy just made the meal all the better in her opinion. Her tails waved around contently behind her, and she seemed to suddenly forget that she was supposed to be angry and annoyed at Kanone. Considering that she got her own chicken with gravy and already in bite sized pieces she could even forgive Esen for getting her hard earned chicken.
Celestine smiled weakly and shook his head, "...Mm..." he took out another fruit and handed it to him again, "Well, keep chewing, the juice should drive it out soon enough." he said simply. He glanced over to Kanone again and then noticed the way that he was sitting his his hand in his pocket. It was...kind of an unusual way to sit. "...What happened to your hand?" he asked as he motioned toward his pocket with his free hand after setting the bowl on the ground. Kanone hugged slightly when he saw the way the Nobu snubbed his nose at him and then huffed. Just what we all need...a Fido with an attitude. he thought. He nearly jumped when Celestine asked about his hand. "Nothing." he said quickly. The last thing he needed was for Celestine to figure out he'd been aggravating the cat. Celestine stared at him for a moment. "...Kanone, I'm not an idiot. You wouldn't be sitting like that if there wasn't something wrong with your hand." He waited for Nobu to clear out his hand for him and then reached down to try to pull Kanone's hand from his pocket. He succeeded after a few moments and then blinked when he saw the bite. Well...that explained the monster taste in Nobu's mouth. "What did you do?" he asked in an accusing tone as he gave Kanone a dirty look. He was fairly certain that Nobu wouldn't bite unprovoked, and Kanone wasn't always the friendliest with animals, especially when he was in a bad mood already, and his mood hadn't looked too great int he kitchen. Esen whined softly when Celestine started questioning Kanone about what he'd done. She could already see that Celestine wasn't too thrilled, and from what little she knew of him already, she wouldn't put it past him to backhand another dragon, especially Kanone. '...guys...he's already bleeding....leave him alone, okay?... I think between Nobu and Kyiri he got the point...' she said in her little mousy voice. |
Aamori smiled when she saw Kyiri plunge her face into the bowl like she did and then chuckled quietly while she watched her tails in motion. She continued to watch her for a moment before she turned her attention to her own plate since her stomach had growled at her. She started with the sides that were on her plate, eating a bit of both before she started picking at the chicken. She was barely keeping an ear out on what else was going on. She was actually just fine sitting there eating and keeping an eye on Kyiri. "Enjoying that more than just a regular breast of chicken, aren't you?" She asked with a smile. Her attention was snagged slightly hearing Celestine ask Kanone what had happened to his hand. Then of course she had to look in their direction to see what was going on. She just tilted her head slightly while she continued to eat and try to listen for what had happened.
Nobu reached for the fruit again and took it from Celestine once he had held it out to him. Again, he took his sweet time chewing it. He knew Celestine was right, eventually the taste would be gone. He'd done an okay job of starting to be rid of it by eating the grass and then the fruit was sure to help, especially the more acidic ones. Now that he was thinking about it, he probably could've gone over to that fountain and tried drinking some of the water to wash it down. At least then taste would've been watered down a little. Oh well, the fruit would suffice. He turned his head slightly to look at Esen since he was done with the fruit he'd taken. He wasn't sure if that bowl was meant for just him or not so he didn't want to just dive into it and eat everything. He kind of agreed with Esen, between himself and Kyiri, Kanone had gotten more than enough punishment for harassing the cat. He looked back towards Celestine. ...Esen's right. I think my biting him was enough ...but feel free to say whatever you like to him for terrorizing Kyiri...' He didn't think that Kanone would've come right out and said what he'd done to deserve getting bitten and he would've told Celestine anyway so why not just get it out of the way now? He figured at worst, Celestine would probably scold him for screwing with the cat, especially since both Esen and himself had voiced that nothing else needed to be done to him. |
Kyiri looked up only long enough to give a slightly muffled 'mew' to Aamori whens he asked if she was enjoying that more than just the chicken breast. As soon as the sound left her mouth her face was right back in the bowl again as her tails continued to sway. She placed one paw on the side of the bowl as she neared the halfway point and tried to poke her head further down into it, though all she managed to do was flip the bowl onto it's side and dump the contents all to one side. She shook her head when she felt some gravy drip onto her nose, but that didn't really slow down her eating one bit.
Kanone sighed heavily when he hear Nobu tell on him and then rolled his eyes slightly while giving the mutt a look. "Tattle tale!" he said in a harsh whisper. He pulled his hand away from Celestine and sighed when he saw Celestine glare at him. "What? The damn cat was kissing at Esen for no apparent reason, and I wasn't hurting the stupid thing." he said simply. Celestine huffed after hearing Nobu and Esen, though he still felt like smacking Kanone, though he tried to refrain. His tail snapped the ground behind him instead as he gave him a really dirty look. "Then that should have been a good sign that she didn't want to be bothered!" he snapped at him, "If you don't like Kyiri, then fine, don't feed her, and don't mess with her! You don't have to torment her just because she inconveniences your day for a few minutes! I'd have you permanently locked in a dungeon if I wanted to torment you every time you annoyed me, but I let most of it, slide, now don't I? Honestly, Nobu's ten times her size and you're bigger than he is. Why do you have to act like such a child all of the time? If you used just a LITTLE bit of common sense you wouldn't get hurt half as much as you do!" He glared at him again and then sighed heavily and just picked up another fruit to hand to Nobu, though after that he just pushed the bowl toward him, "Here, these are yours anyway." he said simply, so irritated with Kanone that he forgot to even ask if Nobu cared for him having one. Kanone just sighed heavily and started to stand up. "Yeah, yeah, whatever... Vengeful gods, you care more about your crazy animals than anything, don't you." he stated as he dusted himself off. "...Have fun, I'm going to bed." he said simply. Clearly, Celestine didn't really give a rat's ass that he'd been bitten. She scratching he could say he deserved, but he didn't really see why Nobu had to jump in on it. He was already getting one hand torn up without help, and even if Nobu hadn't meant to break the skin he didn't know what Nobu expected to happen when he bit someone. People kind of hand a tendency to flinch away from pain so of course he was going to try to get his hand back. Esen whined again when Celestine started on Kanone and then just lowered her head to the grass and put both paws over her face, right where her eyes would have been if she was like a normal dog. '...boys....' she moaned before getting up. She moved away from Celestine and Nobu a bit and then open her wings. Without another word she just flew up to the roof and walked out to the center where she couldn't be seen to lay down. At least it was quieter up here. |
