Aamori hadn't really thought about eating at least not until Marius brought it up. She easily could have gone back to sleep without having anything in her stomach had he not mentioned being hungry. She started to shake her head letting him know that she wasn't hungry but her stomach finally growled in protest. She sat up a little after that with a slightly embarrassed look on her face while she lowered one arm from the table and rested it over top her stomach. "...I guess I am a little hungry..." She muttered quietly.
Levana glanced over to Marius after the thunder had sounded and sighed quietly seeing that he'd jumped and started to lift his hands to his ears. Having such sensitive hearing seemed like it could be a blessing but at the same time a hindrance, especially during situations like this. "The thunder should be dying down any time now." She told him before turning her eyes back over to Aamori. She had expected her to be hungry and obviously Aamori herself hadn't realized that she was indeed hungry until after Marius had mentioned it. That wasn't a surprise considering she'd slept all day. "There are still leftovers from breakfast, unfortunately there's nothing from dinner. Since no one else was up I only bothered to make enough for those who were awake." She started. "...If you don't want the leftovers I can make something for you." Aamori looked over at Levana when she started to bring up food. Her stomach growled again, a bit quieter this time. She didn't really want to make Levana make her anything new, that just... seemed weird. The elder in training putting the current elder to work in the kitchen. She sighed softly. "Something leftover from breakfast sounds fine..." She answered and debated on whether or not she should just get up from the table and get it herself. Again, she wasn't sure she wanted to ask Levana to do it. That just felt like such a strange request. LaRae didn't manage to get her hand away in time so Kanone did manage to hit her when he swatted at her hand. She grumbled quietly after trying to make out what he said which was muffled by the pillow. "...I'm not your mom..." She paused. "...Thank God..." She muttered quietly in response. She shook her hand out a little while she stood there trying to decide how to go about getting him out of the bed. She didn't want to make a racket trying to do this and unfortunately she was thinking that may be unavoidable if shaking him roughly didn't bring him around. She was a pretty heavy sleeper herself and she'd heard the horror stories from others trying to wake her up before so she had a couple ideas at least. Aamori's method of waking people up was out of the question. There just was no way in hell she was going to yell at the top of her lungs just to get him up. She also thought briefly about trying to tear the blanket away from him but he was using that even cover up his head so it'd probably be a bit of work with only one hand to try and do that. She knew she couldn't flip the mattress with only one hand either, so that was out of the question. She finally decided to try just kicking him out of the bed. Her legs weren't broken and they were stronger than her arms so she didn't foresee any real trouble ahead. She sighed quietly and started to climb onto the bed. She positioned herself as best as possible with her one arm behind her so that she could put her feet against his side. Then she started to extend her legs so that she could try and push him from the bed. Unfortunately she was having trouble with even that because her arm kept wanting to slide out from under her while she pushed against him. She kept trying though, if this didn't manage to get him off of the bed she'd just have to try changing strategies. Emiko shook her head lightly after hearing Celestine apologize about the mess. "Don't worry about it, it is to be expected after coming in from the rain." She really didn't mind. The water didn't bother her one bit and it wasn't like it was going to ruin the floor or anything. It was also very easy to clean up, though she wasn't going to be the one doing the cleaning. She had every intention of making Yoichi do it as soon as he was done showing Celestine to the bathroom. Yoichi was in his room long enough to change out of his wet clothes and grab some stuff for Celestine to wear. He knew he was a bit bigger than Celestine but he didn't think that really mattered at the moment. Besides, there wasn't a whole lot else he could chose from. He wasn't wearing anything special himself now that he had changed, just a pair of sleep pants and a comfortable t-shirt. He had chosen at the very least a warmer top for Celestine to try since he was shivering before. He exited his room and went over to the bathroom, not bothering to knock or anything since the door hadn't been shut. Somehow he wasn't surprised to see Celestine in the shower of all places, though, that wasn't exactly what you'd expect someone to be doing once they were in the shower. He shook his head lightly and stepped over to the counter where the sink was and set the clothes down. "This is the best I got, unless you'd like me to see if my mother kept anything of Aamori's?" He joked. There were a pair of dark blue pants like he usually wore but without the symbol on the bottom and luckily they did have a drawstring. He figured since his pants didn't go straight to his feet they'd almost be perfect for Celestine's height. He also included a thick long sleeve sweater rather than his usual choice of shirt. It did get cold around here during the winter season so even he needed a sweater or two in his wardrobe. He knelt down and opened the cabinet below the sink and started to fish out a couple towels. He grabbed one for his hair, one for his mom and made sure to pull out a few for Celestine. He set the ones for Celestine on the counter beside the clothes and then gathered the two for himself before looking back towards the shower. "Do you need anything else?" He asked as he started to head over towards the door. If he didn't need anything then he planned to just shut the door and take the one towel to his mother. |
Marius chuckled softly when Aamori said that she guessed she was a little hungry. He hadn't really heard her stomach growl but he assumed by her embarrassed expression that it had. He glance to Levana again when she said that the thunder should be letting up soon. He smiled weakly and then nodded slightly before he looked back to Aamori again after she'd said that left overs would be good. He thought briefly about getting up to get them for her but after recalling the last time he had tried to reheat something; he'd ended up leaving it for too long and burning it into a cinder. On top of that he was half afraid to pick up any more dishes in case it thundered again and he did drop it this time. He glanced back toward the oven and then to Levana. "Haha...would you like to spare the food some humiliation?" he asked playfully, "If I don't drop it I will probably burn it trying to heat it." Sadly, he couldn't even lie about that, and the slight redness in his cheeks was proof enough that he wasn't really exaggerating. He really was completely useless in the kitchen even though he lived alone. At least he was the only one that had to eat what he cooked when he was at home.
Kanone groaned again when he felt the pressure on his side, though luckily for LaRae, Kanone was pretty light and easily moved. It didn't take too much force to cause him to slide and then roll, and as soon as he rolled he tumbled right off of the bed. Thankfully, since the pillow was on top of his head it hit the floor before his head did, though ti still hurt when he smacked into the floor, especially the way that he'd landed on his arm, which was below the pillow. "OW!" He yelped after he hit the floor and then sat up, rubbing his arm and then his head. "Vengeful Gods, Cel, can't you come up with..." he trailed off when he looked at the bed and saw LaRae. He blinked and then groaned. "Oh god, now they're picking up his habits." He huffed and threw the pillow back onto the bed, though more at LaRae's face. "You know...much as I like you, this better be pretty damn important." He wined as he pushed himself out of the floor and rubbed his backside before he sat back down on the edge of the bed and started to rub his eyes to clear his vision. Celestine had just decided to open his wings a little when Yoichi came back into the room. He was just running his hands along his wings, trying to get as much water out of his feathers as he possibly could before he got out. He looked back to Yoichi when he set the clothes down and then sighed softly when he made the comment about Aamori's clothes. he was almost certain that would be a dress or some sort. "...Ha ha..." he responded dully as he went back to combing his fingers over his feathers. He glanced out again when Yoichi laid out the towels and started to head out. Once he asked if he needed anything else he just shook his head a little, "...Thanks." He waited for Yoichi to go, though he tensed even more once the door was clothes. He wanted to get out of this room and get back to the main part of the house. After yesterday he was really hating being closed in anywhere, and almost had the urge to run over there and confirm to himself that the door would actually open when he turned the handle. He took in a deep breath and finally stepped out of the shower since he'd dried himself about as much as he could without a towel and then moved over to the sink, starting to unbutton his shirt. Once he'd struggled out of the clingy, wet material, he bunched it up and put it in the sink before he wiggled his way out of his pants. He started to toss them into the wink as well but then remembered his pass was still in his pocket. He sighed heavily and reached into remove it, though he was rather eager to get dried off and put something else on since now that he wasn't even clothed he was even colder than before. He stuffed his pants into the sink as well and then very carefully tried to unfold the pass, but when it started to rip he gave up and laid it down on the counter. "Damn it..." The pass was all but trashed and the paper was pretty much melded together. After all, the thing had remained in is pockets and he hadn't really unfolded it, so each of the four of five times that his clothes had been soaked and dried, so had it, and normal paper and ink could only stand so much abuse. Finally he let out a heavy sigh and went to pick up the towel that was on top to start drying himself off. The only thing that he hadn't bothered to removed was the multicolored stone pendant that had belonged to his mother, though it was cold against his chest and he was almost tempted to move it as well. Once he'd managed to get his body dried off he began trying to dry his wings a little more and then removed his earrings, unwinding them from his messy hair before laying them on the counter next to his pass. Once those were out of the way he got another towel and started to dry his hair as best as he could before he went to put on the dry clothes. He slipped into the pants first, a little disgusted to find that they almost completely covered his feet except for his toes when they were so obviously short on Yoichi. He had to pull the draw string rather tightly to make then stay up on him, as well. He really hated being so short something...it was kind of embarrassing. Once he'd gotten into the pants he reached for the sweater and tugged it over his head as well. The sweater was rather huge on him, but thankfully still very warm, though it took him a few moments to figure out how in the heck to get his head out of the neck since it was so much longer than he was used to. Finally he reached up to pull it down while he shifted his wings through their respective slits. he reached inside the shirt and pulled the pendant out so that it was visible since it was freezing him resting against his chest like that. He flipped his hair back to get it all out of the sweater and then finally sighed and hiked up the overly long sleeves before he picked up his clothes, wringing them out to the best of his ability before he folded the now wrinkly garments up and hurried to the door, forgetting his pass and earrings on the counter in his rush to get out of the room. |
Levana didn't mind one bit getting something for Aamori to eat and she wasn't exactly looking to be asked before she got up to take care of it. She was just taking her time getting up. She looked over at Marius when he started to speak and then chuckled softly. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it." She started to scoot her chair out a little and stand up. "We wouldn't want to humiliate the defenseless food, now would we?" She teased. She started away from the table and over to the stove. She double checked the leftovers in the oven before she turned it on so that she could reheat breakfast. She didn't think anything had gone bad yet and it probably could have been eaten the way it was but it'd be a little nicer reheated. After she had the oven on she stepped to the side a little and leaned against the counter while looking back at the table. "How have you managed to keep yourself fed if you're a disaster in the kitchen, Marius?" She paused and chuckled lightly. "It's pretty bad when even your grandson has to inform me of how lousy a cook you are."
Aamori was honestly a little embarrassed to have either of the two of them take care of food for her but right now she was in no hurry whatsoever to get up from the table. She was still tired and even just sitting up right now seemed quite the task. If she had to be specific she'd probably say she was more physically tired than anything. She was at least thankful all she was going to have to do was make it through this reheated breakfast and then go back to sleep. She was also a little glad that it was Levana taking care of the food rather than Marius. If he really wasn't any good in the kitchen than she wasn't so sure that she wanted to have to eat whatever the byproduct of his reheating would be. LaRae was extremely relieved that she managed to push Kanone enough that he rolled off of the bed. That was a little simpler than she had expected. Once he was clear of the bed she sat up straighter, crossing her legs and then resting her hand in her lap. She stared over at Kanone when he sat up and then shook her head a little when she heard what he had started to say. She'd never seen Celestine wake him up before but now she was fairly certain she never would need to. Thanks to that start of a comment she knew how Celestine did it, at least sometimes. She lifted her hand and grabbed for the pillow since he'd thrown it at her face. She caught it before it could hit her and then tossed it over to head of the bed. "I would've rather just flipped the mattress with you on it but given my current handicap this was the best I could do since you wouldn't wake up to a rough shaking." She responded while pointing to her arm in the sling. She shifted a bit once he'd sat down on the edge of the bed. She moved so that she could get up from the bed and stand again. "It is important, maybe not to you though." She started as she looked over at him. "Nanashi's passed out in quite the... cramped space?" She sighed quietly. "Anyway... I can't get him out of the place he's wedged himself and he really does need to be on the bed." She paused. "....Hence my waking you. Besides... you owe your comfy pillow a favor." Yoichi paused in the hallway after he had shut the bathroom door. He separated the two towels he had in his hands and tossed the one over his shoulder while using the other to try and dry his hair a little. He could always use magic and dry his hair the way Aamori liked to dry things but he didn't care too much to use his magic that way. Not to mention his mother didn't like it when you used your magic in the house for something so trivial. He started back towards the living room, dodging the wet spots on the floor from where Celestine had walked. Once he reached his mother he paused what he was doing, leaving the towel to hang on top of his head. He grabbed the other and held it out to her. "Here, I got him some close to wear too. Something warmer." He stated while he waited for her to take the towel from him. Emiko continued to stand where she was while she waited for Yoichi to come back. She looked up when he finally came back into the room and then shook her head lightly once he'd started to hand her the towel. "You should know better by now Yoichi." She started. "Just because I asked you to bring me a towel doesn't mean I was going to mop up the water." She smiled at him when she caught his annoyed expression. "It isn't going to kill you, you know." She told him while she started to head over to the chair to sit down. After she sat down she had to glance back over at her son after realizing something he had said. "...He?" She questioned. "Celestine's a boy?" She shook her head a little. "He looks so feminine... I honestly thought he was a she..." She mumbled quietly. She was more than a little embarrassed though she was glad that she'd never addressed him as a girl without knowing. That would've just been even more embarrassing. Yoichi slung the one towel back over his shoulder for a moment while he worked the towel on his head down his hair. He dried it to the best of his ability and then took both towels and started to kneel down on the floor so that he could start mopping up the water. He lifted his head and looked over at his mother when he heard what she'd said. He laughed quietly. "Yeah... he claims to be a boy and it's a tender subject if you tell him he looks like a girl." He paused. "I'm not entirely convinced he's a he though... he just... looks too much like a girl to me." He told her while he continued to work at getting the water off of the floor. |
Marius laughed softly at Levana's comment and then watched her go to the over to hear up the food. He just smiled weakly and then shook his head a little when she asked him how he kept himself fed and made comment about Kanone. "Oh, has Kanone been talking about me behind my back again?" he asked and then chuckled softly. He had already had a conversation similar to this with Aamori, but he guessed it wouldn't kill him to repeat it. "Alya did the all of the cooking, she wouldn't let me anywhere near the kitchen," he said with a soft laugh, "After thirty-four years of that, I guess I just never got much of a knack for it. Kanone seemed to like coming over to dinner when his grandmother cooked, but now...well I just prefer to eat my charcoal in peace and quiet where no one else has to suffer the taste." He chucked again and then shook his head. He certainly did miss Alya's cooking, almost as much as he missed her. Still he didn't really sound sad when he mentioned her. He missed her, but she was gone, and had been for either years. She wouldn't want him to be sad every time he thought of her, so he usually only came up with good memories.
Kanone looked back to LaRae and yawled before he stuck his tongue out at her for her comments about how she woke him. "Just watch I don't break the other one, I think you nearly gave me one to match." He sighed when she told him what she needed and said that he owned her a favor. He rolled his eyes a little, "How about I tell my comfy pillow to bite me?" He half smiled and then stood up and stretched a little, obviously only joking with her. "...What is he doing out of bed, anyway?" he asked as he started toward the door, "...and where is he?" He was honestly surprised that he was even able to get out of the bed in the first place, let alone get himself stuck somewhere, though he wasn't surprised to hear that he was passed out. Celestine glanced down at the floor as he left the bathroom and sighed when he saw the wet trail leading out into the kitchen. He was careful where he stepped, trying not to slip int he water as he moved. Thankfully he'd managed to get his wings and hair down to simply being damp, so he wasn't making any more of a mess as he moved. He was pretty sure he looked ridiculous in Yoichi's clothes, especially with his hair all messed up the way that it was, but he didn't really care about that any more than he cared about anything else at the moment. He sighed once he got out of the kitchen and saw Yoichi over there cleaning up the floor. He stood there silently for a moment and then walked over to where he was, putting his clothes in the floor beside the door out of the way before he looked back to Yoichi again. He didn't even say a work until he'd already knelt down and put his hand on the towel. "I'll clean it up," he said quietly, his voice shaking a little. It was still all he could do to keep his teeth from chattering since he hadn't had all that much time to warm up or anything. He didn't think it was right to make Yoichi clean up the mess when he was the one who had made it. He was very accustomed to cleaning up after himself; if he made the mess, he cleaned it up no questions asked. |
Levana smiled lightly. "I'd like to say it was only good things he spoke of, but I don't see how such poor cooking skills could possibly be considered a good thing." She said with a quiet chuckle. She listened quietly as Marius continued. She moved long enough to crack open the oven and check on the food before straightening up again. She thought it safe to assume Alya was his wife. She couldn't for the life of her remember if he'd mentioned her having passed away before but judging by his wording she was pretty sure that his wife was no longer among the living. "You've been eating burnt-to-a-crisp food for this many years and you're still healthy?" She shook her head lightly. "That can't be very good for you, let alone have any nutritional value at all." She paused. "You really should have learned to cook at least a couple simple things. I'm sure your taste buds would've thanked you for that."
LaRae stared at him for a moment and then shook her head. "If you broke my other arm I think you'd have a lot worse to deal with than me." She rolled her eyes slightly. "I'm sure Hikari would on your ass for giving her even more work to do." She muttered. She smirked a little after the bite me comment and watched as he stretched. "I think your comfy pillow would likely ask where and how hard." She responded jokingly. She waited until he had started towards the door then fell inline behind him. "...It's easier if you just see for yourself where he's at." She told him. "And... he's out of bed... well..." She sighed. "Honestly... storms like this, with the thunder an all... they kind of frighten him." She was pretty sure that Nanashi wouldn't really have wanted anyone else to know that but she couldn't really think of anything better to explain how he got where he did. She gave another sigh. "I'm sure he'd rather admit that he fell out of bed and somehow wound up where he is while he was sleeping... or something, given anyone found him the way he is." Emiko shifted slightly in her chair to look over at Yoichi while he was cleaning up the water. She was a little surprised that her son didn't quite believe that Celestine was indeed a boy. If Celestine said he was a he, than he was probably a he. Or at least she couldn't see why any girl in her right mind would claim to be a boy. She shifted her attention a bit when she caught movement from the corner of her eye. She looked over to Celestine and watched him while he came into the room and then went and set his clothes down beside the door. She didn't even think anything of the clothes that Yoichi had gotten for him to wear. Those were things that she usually saw her son in so it didn't really look that strange to her. Though she would never have pictured those short pants with that sweater in particular but judging by Celestine's size, any pair of pants longer than those ones would have been much too long for him. She sighed quietly when she saw that Celestine had knelt down and apparently wanted to clean up the mess himself. She shook her head lightly. "It won't take him but a couple moments to get the rest of it up, don't worry about it Celestine." She said while she continued to look over at them. Yoichi didn't bother looking up when Celestine finally came back into the room. He was trying to get the water up and then work his way back to the bathroom as quickly as he possibly could. He stared over at Celestine's hand when he spotted it on the towel and started to open his mouth to say something but his mother cut him off. He sighed quietly once his mother had finished and then looked over at Celestine with a slight nod of his head. "She's right, I'll be done with it in a few minutes. Just go sit down or something." He told him as he wiggled the towel away from him and then started to inch forward a little so that he could move onto the trail of water now. Now that he was actually down on the floor cleaning up the water he really didn't mind. It wasn't like it was the end of the world or anything. It just annoyed him at first because like usual his mother lead him to believe she was going to do the clean up job. |
Marius chuckled softly when Levana made the comment about his eating habits. "I'm not so sure I would call this healthy," he said with a soft laugh, "...but yes, more or less. I do know how to cook a few things that are...pretty hard to burn, and it's not entirely burned-to-a-crisp....mostly around the edges, but...." He just laughed and shook his head a little as he rubbed the back of his head. "I...have also caught a few things on fire. I prefer to just...make a sandwich or something." There were some people that just couldn't cook if their lives depended on it, and he unfortunately was one of them. Sonia had occasionally sent him something when she made to much, but now it seemed that he was just entirely screwed out of a decent meal. Of course if Celestine moved in with him he may be taking up his diet anyway. He knew that Celestine wouldn't go for him ruining perfectly good meat by burning it beyond salvage after the animal was killed.
Kanone sighed as he left the room and started across the hallway to the other room. He shook his head a little when LaRae said that Nanashi was afraid of thunder storms. "Oh geez...isn't he a little old for that?" he asked with a quiet sigh, "I don't think he had to worry about getting struck by lightning in here..." He really wasn't too thrilled about getting kicked out of the bed for this, quite obviously. He pushed open the other door and then slipped into the room and looked around a little before he walked over to the side of the bed and sighed again upon seeing Nanashi curled up in the fetal position in the corner. He stopped and stared at him for a moment before he moved closer to him and knelt down in front of him. "Can't say I'd blame him for not wanting to admit it," he said quietly. Even he had to admit that Nanahsi looked kind of pitiful like that, though he had no idea how he was going to get him out of there. He was still tired and nowhere near as strong as he usually was when he was completely up to par. He finally just knelt down in front of him and then reached over to put his hand on his shoulder, shaking him gently. "Hey..." he said quietly, trying to get him awake enough to at least help him a little if he could, "Hey, come on, look alive long enough to get back in bed, okay?" Nanashi was being a little difficult to rouse, though the more Kanone shook him the more aware he stared to become. He groaned softly and slowly started to crack his eyes open a little. Before he was even entirely aware of where he was or what was going on another loud crash of thunder erupted through the house and his eyes snapped wide open and he dove out of the tiny space faster than anyone would expect him to be able to move in his condition while throwing both arms around Kanone's neck as soon as he collided with him. He shut both eyes again tightly and held on for dear life, entirely unaware of who or what he was holding onto. Obviously the thunder startled him a lot more then he was just coming around than it did when he was already conscious if the fright gave him enough energy to move like that. Kanone's cringed when the thunder roared through the house and then let out a surprised yelp when Nanashi practically tackled him. He stared at him with wide eyes after he just barely managed to catch himself. "Umm...hi?" he said a little unsurely when Nanashi didn't seem to be letting go. He sighed heavily and then raised one arm and wrapped around him to rest on his back. "Heavy...." he said in a hinting tone as he patted his back lightly. God, he's worse than a little kid...well...eh, guess you can't get much worse than Celestine when he was little, but this is ridiculous. Celestine glanced up when Yoichi's mother spoke to him and then looked back to Yoichi himself before he pulled his hand back after getting the towel wiggled away from him. He sighed softly, not looking that thrilled about leaving Yoichi to do all of the work but he did as he was told and stood up again before walking over to the couch, though he didn't sit on it. Rather he took a seat in the floor in front of it since his hair and wings were still very damp and he didn't want to go getting their furniture all wet. He sighed softly as he pulled his legs up and wrapped his arms around them like usual while the sleeves fell over his hands, hiding them completely from view. he leaned his chin down to rest on his knees and then sniffed again before burrowing the lower half of his face in his knees while trying to suppress another short coughing fit. He sighed heavily in annoyance as he closed his eyes. He would much rather be nuzzled up against Nobu right about now since that was where he seemed to always end up when he felt like crap lately, but he still doubted that Nobu was going to let him be very cuddly for a while. Besides, Nobu wasn't here and he was kind of stuck since he couldn't very well just run off in Yoichi's clothes in the rain to get back to the other island. |
Levana stared over at Marius when he brought up that he has also caught things on fire before while in the kitchen. Cooking came pretty easy to her, she didn't know how to cook everything but she didn't have any problems in the kitchen. So it was a little surprising to hear that Marius had managed to catch something on fire while attempting to cook. She knew it could happen but she'd never had it happen to herself, thankfully. "Maybe it is better that you stay out of the kitchen... or at least steer clear of the stove and oven." She said with a quiet chuckle. She finally moved again to check on the food in the oven. The food was reheated, or at least heated enough. She removed it from the oven and set it down on top of the stove before going to retrieve a plate from the cupboard so that she could start fixing a plate for Aamori. Once she had finished with that she set the plate down on the counter long enough for her to get a glass and fill it with water. She then returned to the table with both the plate and glass in hand and set them down in front of Aamori. "There you go, dear. Sorry for the wait." She told her and then returned to her seat.
Aamori had just been leaning against the table being quiet while she waited for the food to finish being heated up. Her stomach had seemed to have quieted for the most part since it wasn't going to be too long before she could put something in it. She lifted her head when she heard the plate and glass set down in front of her. She smiled weakly as she looked at the food. "...Thank you." She responded quietly before scooting the plate a little closer and then started to eat. LaRae was already kind of wishing that she hadn't told Kanone that Nanashi was frightened by thunder storms. She suspected he'd think that it was silly but she had kind of hoped that he'd take the fear seriously, at least to save Nanashi some embarrassment. "Just give him a break Kanone, everyone is afraid of something." She said as she followed him into the room. She moved over to the foot of the bed once Kanone had gone and knelt down in front of Nanashi. She reached over to the bed and gathered the blanket so that there wouldn't be a possibility of having to pull it out from under Nanashi once he was back in the bed. She stared over at Nanashi in almost utter disbelief when she saw that he was attached to Kanone. She couldn't really believe that he had moved as fast as he had. He had been passed out just moments before and in his condition she didn't think he could even move like that. She shook her head lightly. "I'm glad you were the one to try and move him. Had I been in your position I do believe I'd be in a lot more pain right about now." She told him as she glanced down at her arm a little. "...Is he awake enough to move a little on his own or do you need some help?" Yoichi continued to work his way across the floor back towards the kitchen making sure that he got all of the water while he went. He was glad that Celestine had done was he was told. It made getting this job done easier because he wasn't having to fight with him on who should be doing the cleaning. Besides, guests didn't need to be doing the cleaning in someone else's house. He worked his way pretty quickly through the kitchen and dinning area and then down the hall to the bathroom. Once he made it into the bath room he finished up and then walked the towels over to the bathtub and wrung them out a little before draping them over the side of the tub itself. He wasn't about to toss sopping wet towels in the hamper on top of dirty clothes. He'd never hear the end of it from his mother if he did something like that. He started to head out of the bathroom now that he was done. He stared at the floor briefly before deciding to retrieve something from his room. After he had grabbed what he wanted he started back towards the living room and then over to the couch that Celestine was sitting down in front of. He dropped himself down onto the couch just beside where Celestine was sitting and then started to bat Celestine lightly on the head with them while waiting for him to take them. He was sure that the floor was cold on his feet so he figured a pair of socks would suffice to keep his feet a little warmer. |
Marius smiled again when Levana made the comment that he should avoid the oven and stove before he shook his head slightly. "Oh, believe me...I fully intend to," he said assured her. "I wouldn't want to go burning down one of your houses." He watched as she brought the food over to Aamori and sat it down before he cringed again at the sound of the thunder. He really hoped that this was about the end of that for now. He watched Aamori for a moment as she started to eat and then glanced back to Levana again with a half smile. He was running out of ways to make fun of his own cooking, so he was kind of at a slight loss for things to talk about at the moment.
Kanone groaned softly when he heard LaRae and looked up at her, "I don't know, why don't you ask him?" he asked as he tried to shift out from under Nanashi's hold and nearly fell over backwards. He looked back to him again and then raised his hand to his arm. "Okay....Awkward...Come on, let go already. I'm not a teddy bear." Nanashi opened his eyes again slowly when he heard Kanone's voice and felt him pushing against him. It took him a moment to even realize where he was, but once he did his face turned scarlet and he tried to sit back too quickly and just started to fall over backwards again. Kanone reached out to grab him quickly then he started to fall backwards. "Ahh! Careful! I said let go, not kill yourself on the wall." He shook his head a little and then sighed, again and he shifted positions a little, his own face a little red. This was a little more than awkward, especially since he was shirtless and Nanashi....well he may as well be. He moved so that he could wrap his arm around Nanashi's back and pulled Nanashi's arm around his shoulders before he looked up at him. "Nanashi, help me as much as you can, alright?" he said rather gently. He and Nanashi were right around the same sight height wise, so standing him up shouldn't have been too difficult, not to mention Nanashi was a lot lighter than he was. He finally managed to stand up slowly and then moved closer to the bed, backing up until his knees caught against the edge and he and Nanashi both ended up sitting on the edge of the bed after a moment. "Ahem...well...that was fun..." he said simply as he ran his hand back through his hair. Nanashi tried to push with his legs as much as he could while Kanone pulled him up and he lost his balance as easily as Kanaone when they got turned around and backed into the bed. Once Kanone made his comment he groaned softly and practically doubled over in humiliation, trying his damnedest to hide behind his not-quite-long-enough hair. Kanone glanced back over to Nanashi after a moment and half smiled before he patted his back lightly. Geez...he really is scared. "Hey...don't worry about tit, okay? Just go back to sleep. I think the worst is nearly over." He started to stand up again and then knelt to grab Nanashi's legs, pulling them out from under him so that he wound up falling back on the bed cross ways. He then lifted him up bridal style just high enough off of the bed to get him laid down properly. "There... Mission accomplished." Celestine was almost a little thankful to be indoors for now, mainly because the stone walls were blocking out the worst of the thunder. He just sat there with his head down, trying to ignore the fact that he was inside, at least until Yoichi popped him in the head with a sock. He startled like he'd just been shocked and then looked over to Yoichi with wide eyes for a moment before he relaxed a little and glanced at the socks. He sighed and then reached up slowly to take them, his cheeks turning slightly red when he realized that he'd just reacted that way to a pair of socks. "...Thanks," he said quietly before he laid them int he floor beside him while he uncovered his hands from the sleeves and then pulled the pants up a little before he took the first sock and slipped it on. Even Celestine's feet were tiny compared to Yoichi's so the sock came up pretty far on him as well, not that he was complaining. He let the pants leg fall back down and then repeated the process to his other foot before his positions wound up right back the way that it had been, though this time he left his chin on top of his knees rather than burrow his face into them. He sniffed again quietly and then turned his eyes down to the floor. He obviously wasn't in very much of a talking mood or a mood for anything else for that matter. He looked like he could roll up on the floor right there and not move and inch for the rest of the night and be just as happy. For all intents and purposes he probably could. After all, he couldn't really do much else, and it was rather embarrassing being in Aamori's parents' house and borrowing her brother's clothes because they found him outside in the rain looking like a drowned rat. |
Levana was starting to run out of topics for conversation herself and all she could seem to do right now was watch Aamori while she ate. She continued to watch her for a few moments until she heard someone call her name from the door. A guard had stuck their head in and called out for her. She scooted the chair out enough so that she could stand up and see who had been at the door. She wasn't really surprised to see the guard there and with an umbrella no less. She waved her hand a little to the guard acknowledging him. "I'll be there in a moment, just wait on the porch." She told him before looking back to Marius and then glancing briefly to Aamori. "Well... looks like my escort is here to walk me home since it's raining." She told them. She wasn't surprised to see a guard here to walk her home. It was raining after all and she didn't have an umbrella with her. She sighed softly. She knew she couldn't very well walk home in this heavy rain by herself with no shield from the pelting rain while dressed the way she was in nothing more than a light colored cotton dress.
Aamori continued to eat the food that had been set down in front of her. She wasn't eating very quickly so she'd likely be sitting there for a little while until she had finished everything. She didn't lift her eyes from the plate until she heard someone call for Levana. She didn't need Levana to verify who it was to know what they were here for. She'd already guessed what they were here for since it was raining like it was and Levana was still here. LaRae stood at the foot of the bed still holding onto the blanket and staring down at Kanone and Nanashi. She couldn't help but laugh a little after hearing Kanone's comments after he nearly fell backwards. She guessed the way the two of them were right now was a little awkward but considering the circumstances it really wasn't that bad. After all it wasn't like Nanashi was clinging to him like that because he actually had a desire to. After catching sight of how red Nanashi's face had gotten once he realized where he was she chuckled lightly. Though that cut short as soon as he sat back too fast and started to fall over. She was relieved that Kanone grabbed him before he could hurt himself and then sighed quietly. She continued to stand there and watch while Kanone helped get Nanashi back onto the bed. After Kanone finished helping to get Nanashi on the bed properly and said that the mission was accomplished. She shook her head a little. "Not quite." She then extended her arm and held the blanket out to him. She could probably cover Nanashi up herself but it'd be easier if Kanone did it, or at least she thought it would. Yoichi stared at Celestine a little after seeing how he had reacted to being hit on the head with a pair of a socks. That certainly wasn't the reaction that he was expecting especially considering being popped on the head with socks couldn't possibly hurt anyone. Well, maybe if there was some force behind the socks but there wasn't. He nodded his head slightly. "You're welcome." He responded quietly. He leaned forward a little and rested his arms to his knees and kept an eye on Celestine while he went about putting the socks on. Seeing him in his clothes really did remind him just how much smaller Celestine was compared to him. "So whats up with you?" He paused. "Does the rain always make you this agreeable?" He asked curiously. He'd gotten pretty used to Celestine purposely trying to avoid him and whatnot so this was a slight change from the norm. He wasn't going to complain about it or anything, it was just a little different. Emiko merely sat quietly where she was, glancing over to Celestine and then Yoichi briefly. It'd been awhile since Yoichi had anyone over, granted there were different circumstances for this time but it was still the same for the most part. It was kind of a nice change to have some company. Though she was sure that her husband wasn't going to be quite as happy about it, especially since he was still unaware. She finally started to stand up from the chair and then started to head towards the kitchen. She paused at the doorway and looked back to Yoichi for a moment. "Yoichi, I'm headed to my room for the night. I'll let your father know we have a guest. Don't forget that the living room is off limits for a place to sleep... so make sure Celestine has somewhere to sleep if the weather doesn't clear up here soon." She told him before continuing into the kitchen and then towards the right to get to the bedroom that her and her husband shared. She didn't see the rain stopping for awhile. When it rained like this it usually rained for hours and there was no way that Celestine could leave here in the rain. At least she was positive that her son wouldn't just let him leave while it was still pouring rain. |
Marius's ear twitched slightly when he heard someone calling Levana's name and he turned his head slightly to look at the door. He watched the guard back out onto the porch again as told and then looked back to Levana again. He smiled at her and laughed softly after she explained about the escort. "I wondered when someone would be coming, I was starting to worry where you were going to sleep," he said lightly as he scooted back a little to stand and see her off. He stepped around the chair and then moved a little closer to place his hand on her shoulder. "Thank you for your help," he told her again, "Haha...and for dinner."
Kanone looked back over to LaRae again and then groaned softly when she said not quite. He reached over to take the cover close to both corners from her and then snapped it out before he tossed it over the bed and Nanashi. "Alrighty. Would you like me to kiss him good night for you, too?" he asked playfully as he looked back to her again with a half smile. He shook his head a little and then glanced back to Nanashi, noticing that he was looking at him with a rather melancholy expression. He blinked and then sighed softly and smiled at him, "Hey, don't look at me like that..." He leaned over a little and put his hand to Nanashi's head, messing up the front of his hair slightly, "I was only joking. Don't take me so seriously. ...Unless you want me to kiss you goodnight." He grinned slightly and then chuckled. Nanashi glanced over to Kanone once he'd gotten him put back in the bed and then glanced away again, his cheeks still burning noticeably on his still rather pale cheeks. He really didn't like being a bother to anyone or being carried around either. He was a little uncomfortable when Kanone went to cover him up again, but he finally looked back to him again when he made the comment to LaRae about kissing him goodnight too. He really wished that LaRae hadn't bothered Kanone since he obviously didn't want to be in here, or at least that's what he assumed from the way he was talking. He hadn't even realized that he was looking at him any certain way, though his eyes always did have a tendency to give him away. He guessed he must have looked hurt at the thought that Kanone was so against helping him when he couldn't do it himself. He blinked when he felt his hand on his head and then closed his eyes and turned his head away slightly before he looked back up to him again. He sighed quietly and then half smiled and looked away again when he made the goodnight kiss comment. "...I'll pass..." he said responded quietly. "...thank you, I'm sorry..." He laughed again when Nanashi passed, "Good," he responded as he shook his head. He sighed when Nanashi apologized and then flicked him lightly in the head. "What are you apologizing for? Go back to sleep. Goooooo...." He finally backed away from the bed and then just laughed, "Alright, you done with me Miss Pillow? I still feel like being lazy." Celestine glanced over to Yoichi for a moment, but didn't say a word when he asked what was up with him. He just sighed softly at his following question about the rain. He still didn't answer just yet since he noticed Yoichi's mother getting up. He just looked at her blankly while she spoke to Yoichi and then sighed softly upon hearing the living room was off limits for sleeping. He watched as she left and then glanced back to Yoichi again for a moment before he set his head back down on his knees, finally deciding to answer his question. His voice was quiet when he spoke and he still sounded tired, even though he'd been asleep most of the day, "...I'm just not in the mood..." He closed his eyes again and then sighed again, "...Besides...I can't get away..." Admitting that really didn't help him feel any more comfortable being indoors at all. He just hoped Yoichi wasn't going to start treating him like he would a girl now just because his mother left the room. He felt his stomach roll quietly, grumbling just loud enough for him to hear that he hadn't fed it today, or the day before. He wasn't in the mood to eat now, anyway, and he certainly didn't want to go asking for food after all of the trouble Yoichi had gone through already. He sniffed again and then coughed quietly, turning his head away from Yoichi a little as he did so. It was getting harder and harder to make his nose be of any use, and his breathing was just getting louder. After a moment he finally just parted his lips a little and started breathing through his mouth since it was easier and he was starting to feel sort of breath otherwise. Esen was finally returning to the elder's island, though she was walking rather than running now. She had managed to track the blades down finally, but she knew they was in a house and she could only assume that they were still attacked to Celestine. She didn't want to lay in front of a strange house in the rain, so she decided to just return back to the porch where Nobu was laying. Her pale green fur was drenched to the point that she looked as if she had been swimming instead of running around, though that was to be expected with all of this rain. After she mounted the steps she walked along the porch and then around to the edge of the porch where the water wouldn't reach Nobu to shake off her fur as best as she could. Her fur pieced out and stood up, but nowhere near as badly as Nobu's had before. She sighed heavily and then came back around to the front of the house and curled up next to the wall, wrapping her tails around herself tightly while she laid her head to rest on her paws |
Levana chuckled lightly after hearing Marius say that he was starting to worry where she was going to sleep. She was fairly certain that she wasn't going to be left here all night, it was just a matter of time before someone came to get her. Though, she had no idea herself where she'd have slept if she did have to stay here for the night. There weren't exactly very many places to sleep to begin with when you had so many people in the house. "You're welcome and I enjoyed making dinner. It was a pleasant change from always having food made for me." She smiled and then lifted her hand to his arm gently while she leaned up to kiss his cheek lightly like she usually did. "Goodnight, Marius." She told him once she'd pulled away. She cast her glance towards Aamori for a moment, seeing that she was still working on her dinner. She smiled and nodded her head lightly. "Goodnight to you too, Aamori." She said and then started to head towards the door so that she could slip outside and not keep the guard waiting on her any longer.
Aamori continued to eat, glancing up at Levana and Marius briefly after they were both on their feet. She smiled slightly once Levana had said goodnight and nodded her head slightly. She was kind of glad that Levana and Marius were getting along as well as they were. That was always a good thing, especially since she liked Celestine the way she did. Levana may as well have been her mother, she had more authority over such things since her real mother wasn't really involved. If Levana approved of Celestine and liked where he came from then there wasn't likely to be very many issues if the two of them wanted to be together. She shook her head and went back to eating. She couldn't help thinking she was getting ahead of herself with those thoughts. After a moment she couldn't help remembering what words had been exchanged between her and Celestine back on the beach. It didn't take very long for her cheeks to flush lightly. Once again she shook her head and tried to go back to finishing up her food quietly. LaRae almost immediately shook her head when Kanone asked if she wanted him to kiss Nanashi good night for her as well. That was honestly a little bit embarrassing of a question for him to ask, even if he was only joking. She didn't bother saying anything out loud but she was pretty sure that she could handle the goodnight kiss without any help from him. She had already thought that maybe asking Kanone to help with this wasn't that great of an idea and after the way Nanashi looked she was even more sure of it but there really was no way that she could've done all of that herself. She really had needed someone to come in and help move him or else he would've been on the floor between the bed and the nightstand until he woke up and could move himself and who knew when that would be. She finally glanced over to Kanone when he asked if she was done with him. She stood there for a moment and thought about it and then nodded her head. "Yes, I think that about covers it." She paused. "Thanks for helping ...and next time I'll try to wake you differently so you don't think I'm Celestine." Yoichi glanced after his mother once she got up and started to leave the room. He gave a heavy sigh after hearing what she said to him. "Of course." He responded shortly. He was well aware that his father didn't care for anything to be out of place in the morning when he got up and... well... having a strange boy asleep in the living room really was a bit out of place. That really did limit the places in the house that Celestine could sleep. There was a small couch in Aamori's old bedroom but that wasn't comfortable at all, it was more for show. Then of course there was his room which had a bed big enough to share. Now talking Celestine into that would probably be next to impossible. He looked down at him once he had started to answer his questions and then shook his head lightly. He reached over and set his hand on Celestine's head and messed up his hair a bit. "You make it sound like it's completely unbearable being here with me." He said pretending to sound hurt. Nobu had shifted a bit while Esen had been gone. He was laying on his side now, stretched out a little. He moved his head slightly when she finally came back and waited until he laid down on the porch to say anything to her. '...Did you find him or has he gone missing?' He asked curiously. He really did want to know if she'd found him and he kind of hoped that came across when he asked if she'd found him. If she hadn't found him than he figured he'd need to get someone up to go look for him. He may have been hurt by the one thing that Celestine had said but he couldn't stay mad enough at him to not care where he was and if he was alright. It just wasn't easy for him to get over what was said, but he was at least working on it. |
Marius smiled at her again when she said that she enjoyed making the dinner, "Well, I certainly enjoyed eating it." Again he bowed his head down a little when she touched his arm, already knowing what would come after that. He was at least rather quick to catch on to Levana's goodbye kisses. "Goodnight, Levana," he said softly. He watched as she went to the door and then shook his head with a slight smile as he took his seat at the table again. This time he glanced over to Aamori and then tilted his head a little when he saw her face. "Now what are you blushing about?" he asked with a soft chuckle. He had a feeling she'd probably thought of something that she'd probably rather not share, but even at his age he wasn't beyond teasing the young'uns a little.
Kanone smiled slightly at LaRae and then shook his head a little. "Yeah, that'd be kinda appreciated. That hurts, ya know." He may now have any broken bones now, but he was still pretty sore himself around the midsection where the bruise was. Thankfully, it wasn't slowing him down too much other than the fact that he didn't want to get out of the bed. He reached up and patted her on the head lightly before glancing back to Nanashi, though he looked like he might already be asleep again. He just smiled slightly and then shook his head again. "...Good night, Nanashi," he said anyway before he looked back to LaRae, "And good night...you need me, I'm burrowing back under my other pillow." He started to move back toward the door again and then paused for a moment and looked back to LaRae. He smiled weakly and then back-stepped and wrapped an arm around her. "Hey, umm...if you do need anything else later, come and get me, alright?" he smiled slightly, "I don't really mind. I wasn't trying to hurt his feelings or anything...I'm just good at being an ass hole." He sighed softly, "But anyway...yeah umm...if either one of you need any help, I'm open." He offered her another smile and then dropped his arm again before he started toward the door again so he could go crawl back in the bed. He thought he should at least throw that out there considering the way Nanashi had ended up looking at him. He didn't want LaRae hurting herself more to avoid asking him for anything else. Celestine turned his eyes over toward Yoichi and then sighed softly before he closed them again. He would have complained about Yoichi messing up his hair if it wasn't already a complete mess. He didn't have anything to straighten it out with after the towel dry so it was just handing in damp, frizzy strings all over his head. He didn't really care to sit and decide if Yoichi was faking that tone or not, as he'd said, he wasn't in the mood. "...Only when you flirt with me," he said bluntly, "...If I were I woman I would be offended...you're nothing but a womanizer..." He turned his head away slightly, "Guys like you annoy me..." He sighed again quietly and laid his head over on his knees tiredly before he opened his eyes a crack so that he could look at Yoichi again. "...It doesn't matter now...I don't even care... I'm just...really tired... I slept all day, I don't know why I'm still tired..." He wasn't even so sure that he felt sleepy, he was just drained of energy. At least he was finally warming up a bit, though his cheeks were starting to flush ever so slightly. He really wished the rain would stop so he could leave and go back to Nobu and Esen. As much as he hated to apologize for anything he was actually half ready to suck it up and apologize like crazy to Nobu and just put up with him griping t him if he would let him lay with him. he had a feeling it was going to be a long night otherwise... He had trouble sleeping in a house at all, especially one he'd never been in before. ...And honestly, he wasn't so sure that he wanted to sleep around Yoichi. Esen raised her head slightly and looked over to Nobu when he spoke to her before she sighed and placed her head back on her paws again. "...Yes, I think I found him... I tracked the blades at least until I was sure they were inside one of the little houses that we passed earlier today when we went to the first tower..." She shifted positions a little, "...So...either he ran into someone and they let him in or...someone got the blades from him, but...I don't see him letting those go too easily, so I assume he is still with them." |
Aamori fumbled a little with the piece of bacon she was trying to eat and wound up dropping it back onto the plate as soon as she heard what Marius had asked. She hadn't even thought about him noticing her blushing. She'd kind of gone off in her own thoughts for a moment there and completely forgot that he was in the room with her. Having him notice the color to her cheeks only made it worsen from embarrassment. "I-It's n-nothing." She scrambled to respond. The thought that she had was a little too much to even think about while keeping herself from blushing so she couldn't imagine trying to say any of it to Marius. Let alone talking to Marius about it was an embarrassing thought in itself and not appealing in the slightest. She turned her head down a little since she knew that her cheeks were still red and then started to go back to eating what little was left on her plate.
LaRae stared over at Kanone briefly after he said that being woken up the way he had, hurt. She knew it hurt, especially depending on how you fell. "I can't guarantee that any other method used to wake you in the future won't hurt." She told him with a slight smirk. She stared up at his hand when he patted her head and sighed quietly. Luckily for Kanone she didn't mind so much when someone patted her head. She nodded slightly after he said goodnight and told her that he was burrowing under his other pillow. She smiled weakly. "Yeah... sorry for waking you up. Goodnight." She said to him as he started to move back toward the door. She started to look away from him at least until she noticed him coming back. She nodded weakly once he'd put his arm around her and told her to come and get him if she needed anything else later. She was a little happier hearing him say that he didn't really mind. She gave another nod once he had pretty much repeated himself. "Alright... I will." She said quietly, almost reluctantly before he let go and started back toward the door once more. Had he not said anything she probably wouldn't have bothered him again if she or Nanashi had needed help with something later. She'd have just tried to do whatever it was herself and likely get hurt in the process. Either way she hoped that she didn't have to bother Kanone again any time soon. Yoichi leaned back on the couch once Celestine had gone on to saying that he was nothing but a womanizer. "Tell me something I don't know." He said with a sigh. He'd heard that enough from a couple other people that it was almost annoying now whenever it was said. "A lot of women are really beautiful and I can't resist letting them know that in one way or another." He said and then let his head rest on the back of the couch. "I'm no where near as bad once I'm steady seeing someone but at this particular moment in time I'm not seeing anyone so I'm free to flirt with whomever I please, whenever I want." He started to lift his head up off the couch and looked down at Celestine after he had said that he was tired. "You're getting sick aren't you?" He paused. "That's reason enough to still be tired." He commented. "Anyway, if you're tired we need to find you a place to sleep and unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of choices on where you can sleep." He paused. "There's Aamori's old room and then mine, of course." Nobu rolled over onto his stomach and looked over at Esen after she had said that she thought she found him. If he was inside the house that Esen tracked the blades to that was a good thing. At least he was out of the rain. He certainly didn't know who lived in any of the houses on that island and the only likely people to actually know were people who didn't know he and Esen could talk. Then again, if Zale were around they could probably ask him because he stood a good chance of knowing. 'Once it stops raining or in the morning you could probably go back and check... or find Zale and ask him if he knows who lives there or something.' He paused. 'At any rate... at least it looks like he is out of the rain.' |
Marius chuckled softly again when Aamori started to fumble with her food and told him it was nothing. "Oh really?" he asked playfully, smiling when he saw her cheeks turn an even deeper shade of red. He chuckled again and then shook his head slightly, "Alright, alright," he said quietly, obviously deciding not to pester her too much. He had a feeling that she would be going back to sleep pretty soon anyway.
Kanone yawned slightly as he made his way out into the hallway and then went straight across to the other bedroom. He closed the door behind him all but a crack and then went back to the bed and started to stretch out on the mattress. He blinked when he noticed the feathers on the covers and then half smiled. He guessed Celestine really had come in, at least for a little while. After a moment he sighed and just stretched out in the bed again, covering himself up once more. He didn't know where Celestine had gotten to, but it with it raining like it was he was fairly certain that someone had already dragged him inside. Once he was comfortable he just closed his eyes again and then nuzzled into the pillow with a soft sigh. Nanashi had indeed already more or less fallen asleep again. Once he'd closed his eyes again it was hard not to. He had only been awake enough to realize what was going on before because Kanone kept pestering him so once he was left alone he was right back to the way that he had been before. Staying awake for long periods of time didn't seem to be working at all for him, especially when he was stressed out by something, namely the storm. Celestine huffed softly when Yoichi said that he could flirt when whoever whenever and then just closed his eyes again. He didn't like that one but, but he knew it would be pointless to say anything. After all, it wouldn't really do any good and he was too tired to get into how it was wrong to lead girls on like you were interested in them when you would sooner run off as soon as one better looking came alone. He didn't know Yoichi that well, but already that was what he gathered from him. That and that he didn't want anyone messing with his sister. He sighed quietly when he asked if he was getting sick. "...Maybe a little," he said quietly. He already felt like crap, but he didn't want to admit it flat out. He cracked his eyes open again when he told him his sleeping options and then sighed again as he closed them back. "...I don't care..." he said quietly. At this point he would about go wherever Yoichi pointed him. He didn't want to go into a smaller room at all but he apparently didn't have much of a choice. He would feel pretty awkward sleeping in Aamori's old room, but he would feel even more awkward in Yoichi's so he didn't know what the difference was. Esen nodded her head a little, though she still seemed a little down about not being able to actually see him or talk to him. She glanced over to Nobu again and then sighed softly. "Yes....I'll do that," she agreed quietly, "...I just wish I'd actually been able to see him to be sure..." Esen was a bit of a worry wart when it came right down to it, but she really did care a lot from someone once she got close to them. She would be just about the same for anyone in the group once they managed to gain her trust, and even before then if they were hurt. |
Aamori finished up what was left on her plate quickly just as planned and emptied the glass of water she had before she started to get to her feet. She was still a bit embarrassed that Marius had caught her blushing and her ears laid back slightly when the chair screeched across the floor when she went to scoot it back and stand up. She was trying to quietly remove herself from the table and so far it didn't appear to be working. She went to step away from the table so that she could push her chair in and wound up catching her foot on the leg of the table which caused her to stumble forward and start to fall. Luckily she managed to throw her arm out and catch herself on the wall. She felt humiliated. Not only had she been embarrassed but because of it her clumsiness had honestly got the best of her. She stood with her hand on the wall for a moment before she stood up straight and turned back to grab her plate and her glass, though she kept her head down even more so now. She felt the only way this could have gotten worse was if Celestine himself had been the one to see her fumbling around like she was or if he'd happened to walk in just in time to catch that. As much as she had wanted to see him she was a little glad that he actually wasn't here. She started over to the sink with her dishes and set them inside, quite ready to get anything breakable out of her hands.
LaRae watched Kanone once he'd left and closed his door all but what looked like a crack from where she was standing. She headed over to the door to the room she and Nanashi were in and did the same, leaving it only open a small crack. She turned back to the bed and walked over, pausing briefly to stare down at Nanashi from her side of the bed before she sat down and began trying to get somewhat comfortable on the bed. She would've had an easier time of it if she hadn't had the one broken arm but there wasn't anything she could really do about that but try and lay on her back just to make sure she wasn't adding any extra strain to the arm. Once she was laying down she turned her head and looked back over at Nanashi. She smiled weakly and then propped herself up a little. "...Sorry for involving Kanone..." She mumbled quietly before leaning over and pressing her lips lightly to his cheek. "...Goodnight." She assumed that he had already gone back to sleep but she didn't really care if her apology hadn't registered with him. It just meant that she'd likely be saying that again once he was awake. Yoichi continued to stare down at Celestine for a moment before he shook his head lightly. "You can be blunt with me when it comes to my flirting with you and my way with girls but you can't give me a straight yes or no answer on whether you're getting sick?" He gave a sigh and then started to push himself up off the couch. "Since you're only giving me 'maybe a little' as an answer I'll just assume you're sick." He commented and stretched his arms up over his head a little. He looked back down to Celestine. "Get up, cupcake." He teased. "Lets find you a place to rest." He said as he started to step away from the couch and head back towards the kitchen. He paused at the doorway that lead into the kitchen and checked just to make sure Celestine was actually following him. He didn't think Celestine would like it if he had to go over and pick him up. He wasn't beyond being that if Celestine didn't get up on his own. [Assuming that Celestine got up on his own] He continued down the hall towards the bedrooms. His room and his sisters were pretty much right across from one another and roughly the same size. The house that his parents lived in wasn't huge, but it was decent sized so the bedrooms weren't really as small as they could be. He paused at his sisters door and opened it, pushing the door open. "Well, this is Aamori's old room... or... was might be the proper word." He said as he cast a quick glance inside. The room had been a different color than the time Aamori had used the room but no one would even know that unless they'd seen the room prior to it's change. It hadn't changed from when Hikari had seen it. There was still the large ornate harp in the one corner, the large glass case that held the gold and silver knickknacks that his father collected that washed up on the beach along with that old cutlass in the center of it all. There were a couple small book shelves, the chess table with matching chairs and then finally the rather small antique love seat that didn't look the least bit comfortable. "You can attempt to sleep in here on that love seat... or..." He started over to his door and pushed it open. "...You can sleep in here, where there is at least a bed." He told him as he pointed into his room with his thumb. His room really wasn't anything special. There was a full sized bed on the back wall that faced the bedroom door then a dresser along one wall and then finally a closet. He probably would've used the room more and felt the need to have more in it if he wasn't as busy with work like he was. Not to mention he had a room in the training building as well. It was no where near as nice as this room was but at least it was somewhere to sleep when he just couldn't make it home. His room was seriously one of those rooms that wasn't used for anything more than sleep and it really did lack personality but he didn't really mind. Nobu continued to look at Esen for a few moments before lowering his head down onto his paws finally. 'Don't worry about it so much. If the blades were there than he is likely there too.' He paused. 'Besides, you have no proof that someone took off with his blades so it's awfully likely that he really is there if the blades are so just go check back in the morning.' He nuzzled his head into his paws a little and then let his tails wrap a little closer to him while he relaxed. He wasn't too worried since Esen's first guess was that Celestine was in the house she'd tracked the blades to. More times than not, first guesses were pretty accurate. |
Marius' ears laid back a little at the sound of the chair scraping across the floor and then he glanced over to Aamori again. He started to get up quickly when she stumbled, hoping to catch her, though he was relieved that she was able to catch herself since the odds of him making it over in time were slim. He sighed softly and tilted his head a little when she started to take her dishes to the sink. After she went and reacted like that he felt a little bad for even mentioning her blush but there wasn't much to be done about it now. After she made it to the sink with the dishes he sighed and walked up behind her lightly placing his hand on her shoulder. He just smiled warmly at her while tilting his head down a little. "Are you alright?" he asked softly, "I apologize. I didn't mean to make you this uncomfortable."
Celestine didn't even grace Yoichi's comment about how blunt he could be so long as it didn't involve him with a response. He said maybe a little to let Yoichi draw his own conclusions. He didn't really feel well at all, but he didn't want to go whining about it. He guessed he couldn't really complain too much, he always did tend to get a little sick if he stayed out after being wet, though he hadn't really thought about it this time since he was already more or less dry before he went back outside. He cracked his eyes open again and sighed when Yoichi called him 'cupcake' before he lifted his head, rolling his eyes a little in the process. He was slow in getting up, partially because he was still thrown slightly off by his damp wings, but once he was up he started after Yoichi silently. He just leaned against the wall once he came to a stop and crossed his arms over his chest while barely glancing into the rooms as Yoichi showed them to him. Of course the bed sounded much more appealing to him, but considering that his wings and hair was still damp he really didn't want to go laying on any of their furniture and he wasn't so sure he could easily share a bed with Yoichi. He sighed again softly, looking half ready to just go to sleep leaned there against the wall. Standing upright didn't make him feel much better. "...I don't care..." he said again quietly, "...Where do you want me to sleep?" He slept on a stone roof at the training building, he was pretty sure he could rather easily tackle the love seat or even sleep on the floor without much of a problem for that matter. Esen sighed again softly as she glanced back over to Nobu again. "Oh, I know that..." she responded softly, "...I just wanted to know if he was feeling any worse than he was this morning... I hope he didn't actually get caught in this rain..." She was pretty sure that if that had happened he was probably a little worse off than he had been this morning, but she still couldn't really tell. Even if he was there wasn't a whole lot that she could do about it. |
Aamori glanced over to Marius' hand briefly after she felt it on her shoulder. She gave a heavy sigh and dropped her shoulders slightly after hearing him apologize. "...I-It's alright." She told him. She hadn't really thought that she'd be this uncomfortable with what he'd asked. She still couldn't fathom trying to tell Marius what had made her blush. She'd have just about the same reaction if it had been someone like her brother asking. She couldn't even begin to imagine trying to tell him either. She looked to Marius briefly and then towards the hall where the back rooms were. "You were using the room I woke up in right?" She paused. "You can have it back." She told him. She didn't really want to take the room from him again. She could sleep on one of the chaise lounge chairs in the hall. She was a lot younger than he was so she didn't foresee having too much trouble sleeping there. All she did want to do was fish a pair of pajamas out of the dresser in the room he had claimed so that she wasn't wandering around in just her wetsuit with a few cuts in it.
Yoichi sighed heavily hearing Celestine saying that he didn't care where he slept and then asked where he wanted him to sleep. He wasn't sure anymore that he liked how Celestine was being right now. All he did was ask him where he'd rather sleep and he couldn't even give him an answer. He shook his head lightly and stepped back to his sister's door and started to pull it shit. "Alright... since you're sick, we can't very well have you trying to sleep on that small love seat. You may be petite but I don't think even you could fit on that thing and be comfortable." He turned back to his own door and started to step into his room. "Since you don't care and asked where I want you to sleep... I want you to sleep in my bed, where it's warmer and more comfortable." He told him as he started over to his bed to pull back part of the blanket for Celestine. Nobu continued to lay there quietly for a moment before responding. 'Unfortunately you just won't know anything until morning and if he was caught out in the rain at least he is inside a house now.' He paused. 'If he is inside of that house than someone had to let him in, which means that someone surely picked up on him being sick. It isn't like he can hide it from everyone. So I wouldn't worry about it that much.' He wasn't too worried himself, really. If Celestine was inside of a house then it did mean someone let him in and it was unlikely that someone would just overlook how he was feeling. Now he just hoped the person who was with Celestine now was going to try and do something with his being sick and not just let him go untended to. |
Marius smiled again weakly when she told him that it was alright and then patted her shoulder a little. He blinked and then looked back toward the bedroom when she asked about it. "Oh...yes, I was..." he said absently. He wasn't very particular on where he slept, really, so long as he could lay down, though he had to admit the bed was easier to stay in all night. He glanced back to Aamori when she told him that he could have it back and then nodded slightly, "Are you sure? I don't really mind if you're more comfortable there." He finally remembered to pull his hand down away from her shoulder and then started to back up a little. He was at least relieved that the thunder was letting up so that he could actually get some sleep whenever he got in bed.
Celestine watched as Yoichi closed the door to the other room and sighed quietly, already knowing his choice. Now why didn't that surprise him? Well, at least he was being honest when he said that he didn't care, or wouldn't so long as Yoichi stayed on the other side of the bed and didn't snore like Kanone. He pushed himself away from the wall slowly and then walked across the hallway to follow Yoichi into his room. "Fine," he said quietly after Yoichi rephrased and repeated half of what he'd said before telling him where he wanted him to go. On his way to the bed he stumbled a little on one of the flared out pants legs and staggered forward a few steps before he regained his balance. He was nearly as uncoordinated when he was tired as he was when he was completely drenched. Once he made it to the bed he paused for a moment ans then looked up to Yoichi again, "...Are you sure you don't mind?" he asked as he opened one wing about halfway to draw attention to the moist feathers. They were no where near as wet as they had been but a towel could only do so much and they were still probably going to be wet for a couple of hours at the very least...long enough to get his mattress wet, he was sure. Esen sighed again quietly and then nodded her head a little, "Yeah...I know..." she responded when he said that she wouldn't know anything until morning. She still wished she did...it was hard not to worry. After all, how many people did he know here? She shook her head a little and then rested them back onto her paws again with a sigh, "I guess so... I'm going to go to sleep for a while... Goodnight, Nobu." She nuzzled her chin against her paws slightly and then sighed again as she tried to push everything form her mind and get a few hours of sleep. After all the running she'd done she didn't think it would be too hard to accomplish. |
Aamori nodded her head when Marius asked her if she was sure. She really didn't mind, after all Marius was supposed to be visiting and enjoying himself and he should be allowed to use the bed if he wanted to. Besides if she slept on the chaise lounge it wasn't going to wreak havoc on her back or anything like it would his. She stepped away from the counter a little and glanced back to Marius. "You can still have the bed back, I just want to get something out of the dresser." She then headed toward the room and slipped inside. She was only inside long enough to grab a pair of the pajamas from the dresser and then slip back out into the hall. She stepped over to the lounge chair in nearest the room that Hikari was in and set the folded shirt down before taking the sleep pants and stepping into them. She stumbled a little getting into them but had them on over top her wetsuit in no time. She reached to pick up the shirt and unfolded it, taking a moment to undo the buttons so that she could slip into it. Once she had it on she just left it unbuttoned and then sat down on the chaise. "There. You have your room back." She said as she shifted to lay the chaise back so that it was laying down.
Yoichi eyed Celestine's wing for a moment once he had opened it a bit. He sighed and stepped away from the bed a little before pushing Celestine a little closer towards it. "Don't forget who you're talking to. I can get the water from the bed later if your wings do soak it." He paused. "It isn't the end of the world if the bed gets wet." He started around to the other side of the bed. He wasn't exactly ready for bed yet but with everyone else going to bed he wasn't exactly looking to stay up by himself, especially with Celestine in his bed. "...Are you going to need anything?" He asked lastly. |
Marius nodded slightly when Aamori told him that she wanted to get something out of the dresser. "Be my guest," he said with a slight smile. While she headed toward the bedroom he moved over to the sink and started to wash the dishes that she had left there so he could set them to dry with the others to dry. By the time Aamori got out of the room and told him that he could have it back now he was already almost finished and just getting ready to rinse the glass. He glanced back to her and then smiled slightly. "Alright," he called back to her, "thank you." He turned back to the wink and rinsed off the glass before putting it over with the others. After he dried his hands he sighed and started to move back toward the bedroom himself, pausing long enough to look over to Aamori again before he stepped into the room. He moved over to the bed and pulled off the top blanket and one of the pillows before he moved back out to where Aamori was laying and draped the blanket over her while laying the pillow on her stomach so she could position it herself. "Good night, Aamori," he said softly before he went to return to the bedroom again so he could get ready for bed himself. He was pretty sure he could make due just fine with a sheet since it was still a lot warmer at night here than it was where he lived.
Celestine started to fold his wing behind him again when Yoichi sighed, though when Yoichi pushed him toward the bed even that was enough to knock him off balance and send him stumbling. He fell into the bed and then landed face first on top of the mattress with his legs hanging off of the edge. He sighed as he pushed himself up a little and then crawled the rest of the way into the bed, sitting with his legs curled up under him while he looked up at Yoichi again when he asked if he was going to need anything. "...No," he said simply. He sighed quietly and then finally stretched out a little and laid down on his side, facing the rest of the room rather than the other half of the bed. He reached down to the covers but he only flipped them over his feet, apparently trying to avoid getting the covers too wet along with everything else. He closed his eyes as he burrowed his head down into the pillow a little and tried his best to relax and sleep, though his heart was still hammering in his chest. He really didn't like being in a smaller room, even if it was decently sized, though he guessed he could live with it so long as Yoichi didn't decide to go close the door. |
Aamori glanced to the room when briefly when Marius stepped inside. She had kind of expected him to say some form of goodnight to her before he went to bed, he usually did anyway. She looked back over at the door again when she heard him come back out. She continued to lay there for a moment after he'd draped the blanket over her and then set the pillow down. She hadn't expected to use anything while she was sleeping on the chaise but she was grateful that he had given her a blanket and a pillow to use. "Thank you..." She told him quietly. "Goodnight to you too, Marius." She added and then shifted so that she could put the pillow under her head and curl up on her side with the blanket. She really was kind of happy that Marius had been willing to share a pillow and the blanket from his bed but she couldn't help hoping that everyone would get better enough to move on soon. She didn't really care to be invading the house that Marius was supposed to be vacationing in any longer than absolutely necessary.
Yoichi watched Celestine as he laid down on the bed and shook his head lightly as he started to sit down on his side of the bed. He just sat there on his side of the bed for a moment and stared over at Celestine and his mass of damp wings. He really didn't want to be stuck with those in his face for the entire night, especially with the size of the bed being what it was. He also didn't want to sleep on his other side just because then they'd be stuck with their wings overlapping one another. He sighed quietly. "Do me a favor and roll over, I'd rather not be stuck with a face full of wet feathers..." He told him quietly. |
Marius nodded to Aamori again before he closed the door behind him and went to fish his night robe out of his bag before he made his way to the bathroom and locked both doors upon entering. Since he hadn't really done so since he'd gotten here he wanted to at least get a bath before he went to bed, just in case Levana came over again tomorrow sometime as he suspected she might. He didn't plan to be in there for too long, just long enough to wash off and wash his hair, and then he was ready to get himself to bed and go to sleep.
Celestine's ear twitched slightly when he heard Yoichi speak and he raised his head a little to look back at him. He stared at him silently for a moment and then sighed softly and then pushed himself up on his elbows for a moment before he rolled himself over onto his other side and lad back down. He didn't really like facing people when he slept but he guessed it would be a pain with his wings there in Yoichi's face. He moved his arm up to the pillow and rested his cheek on his hand this time before he closed his eyes again. He still didn't look all that content with how he was laying, but it was more where he was laying that got to him. After a moment he just curled himself up in a little ball, which slid his feet out from under the covers, but he didn't really seem to care. "...Goodnight," he said quietly without opening his eyes. |
Aamori had been pretty tired to begin with but had managed to delay falling asleep by having something to eat. Now that she was laying down and ready to go to bed it really didn't take her very long to fall asleep after she had shut her eyes.
Yoichi kept an eye on Celestine while he rolled over. He was glad that he wasn't going to have to ask him more than once to do that. He happened to notice now that the door was still open. He sighed quietly. He preferred to sleep with the door shut but right now he didn't feel like getting up and walking over there just to close the door. He shifted and started to pull the blanket up over himself. He cast a glance over to Celestine noting that he had curled up and no longer had even his feet covered up. He reached over and grabbed his side of the blanket and pulled it up over him. Since Celestine was sick, he needed to be warm and you couldn't very well stay very warm without the blanket. After he pulled the blanket over Celestine he proceeded to lay himself down on the bed facing him. "Goodnight." He said quietly and then snuggled his head into his pillow and shut his eyes. |
[Since I think we all know the process of taking a bath and going to bed I'm leaving Marius to it.]
Celestine cracked his eyes open a little when he felt the cover being draped over him and then glanced up to Yoichi again for a second. He didn't really mind one way or another being under the cover, though it was warmer this way. Once Yoichi had laid back down and closed his eyes he let his slide shut again as well and then sighed quietly. He was still having a hard time getting to sleep since it was so difficult for him to calm himself down. He was all but forcing himself to lay there and be still though every nerve in him seemed to be aching to get back outside. It took him quite a while, but finally, he did manage to fall asleep again, though it was probably more than an hour after Yoichi had gotten to sleep. Unfortunately for Yoichi, with Celestine's nerves being the way that they were, this was yet another very restless night for him. As soon as he had been asleep long enough to start dreaming he began tossing and turning slightly, mostly kicking like he thought he was getting somewhere and reaching out with his hands as if feeling for the wall, or trying to push one away. At one point well into the night he started to push weakly against Yoichi's chest as if trying to push him away, though he wasn't quite strong enough at present to really move him. He groaned and then curled back in on himself again all but his hands which remained where they were. He clenched his jaw as his eyebrows furrowed, but that didn't stop him from whimpering quietly. His fingers curled against Yoichi's shirt loosely and he stayed like that for a little while. Sometime well before sun-up, he finally woke up, though Yoichi probably wasn't going to be very thrilled with the way that he did it. Out of nowhere he let out a frightened yell as his eyes snapped open and his hands slammed back against Yoichi's chest again. It was still dark in here so he really couldn't see and barely even remembered where he was. He bolted upright quickly and tried to scurry back while looking around wildly, though he rather quickly found that he had run out of bed. He let out another startled yelp as his arms went off the bed and the rest of him followed. Luckily he landed on his shoulder rather than his head, but he didn't seem to want to hold still long enough to feel the pain as he was already scrambling to get up again. |
Yoichi was asleep in no time really even though he hadn't been ready for bed. Considering his job he had kind of learned to fall asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. That was the easiest way to guarantee that he got the most sleep possible and it sure saved him from spending countless amounts of time tossing and turning until he finally fell asleep. He wasn't necessarily a heavy sleeper but it did take a little more than another person's restless sleep to wake him completely. He barely stirred at all while Celestine was moving around. It wasn't until he felt something foreign push against his chest that he stirred and cracked his eyes open a little. He shifted slightly, glancing down so he could see his chest. He noticed Celestine's hands and then fell right back asleep. He was just too tired to even focus on Celestine. He was right back into a deeper sleep in no time and managed to stay that way at the least until Celestine let out a frightened yell and slammed against his chest with his hands. He startled awake, almost violently. It took a few moments for him to even come to enough to know what was going on. He scrambled to sit up upon hearing what he was sure was Celestine hitting the floor. He scooted across the bed a little bit and reached up to turn on the lamp beside the bed. It was hung on the wall just a little above the bed. Once he had the light on he lowered himself back down a little on the bed and then looked to Celestine, tiredly. "Hey... You okay, Celestine?" He asked while trying to wake himself up a bit more.
