Esen moved a little closer when Celestine nodded and then tilted her head a little. She was at least glad to see him making up with Nobu. She looked him over again, noting the state of disarray that his wings were in and the fact that he seemed to be having a little trouble breathing, at least through his nose. 'Celestine, are you alright?' she asked quietly, gently nudging his wing with her nose.
Celestine wasn't surprised to hear that they had walked right by him the first time. After all, none of the others except for Marius and Kanone had ever seen him this way and even at that, no one would be looking for him like this. He was a little surprised that Esen had gone out in that storm to look for him last night. Finally he turned his head a little to look at her and then sighed a little. He didn't like the idea of her running all over in all of that rain. 'I will be...' he responded to her after hearing her ask if was alright. He wasn't really alright right now, but he wasn't going to die or anything...or at least he hoped not. Once Nobu had asked him if he wanted to lay here or go back to the island he raised his head off of his paw slowly and then lowered it back tot he sand again. '...That's where I was going...' he responded quietly, '...I was just resting...' Even like this he had no intention of asking for a ride. So long as he could still go on his own, he would, though at the rate it was going it would probably be easier just to curl around someone's leg and let them walk. After another moment he started to slither very slowly closer to Esen and nuzzled her leg a little as well before he started to more in the direction of the bridge again. Esen watched as Celestine started to move and then tilted her head a little when he rubbed up against her. She continued to watch him slide by her and then sighed and turned around before she walked ahead of him easily and laid down in his path. 'Get on... You look exhausted...and I can't even walk that slow.' At the rate Celestine was moving it really looked like was a pain for him to even move the way that he had to to propel himself forward. Celestine stopped when Esen laid down in his path and then looked up at her. He sighed softly and then slid closer to her before he raised his head off of the ground and laid it against her side while he tried to push himself up. He was a little too sore to stand himself up the way that he usually would to get up on something so he was having a little trouble getting on her back like she wanted. He stretched up a little more and then whined and lowered himself back to the sand again. '...I can't...I hurt my side it hurts to stretch up any further...' He shook his head weakly and then curled up a little bit. '...I'm alright...I'll get there.' Esen watched as he tried to get up on her back and then sighed softly and leaned her head over to nuzzle him a little when he said that he couldn't make it. 'Nobu...can you help him?' |
Nobu stared down at Celestine and nodded his head slightly once he had said that he had been heading back to the island, or trying to anyway. It didn't look like Celestine had gotten very far and he wasn't sure when exactly Celestine had started this little excursion but it looked like it would really take him forever to get from here to the island. He continued to watch Celestine once he started to slither in the direction of the bridge. He was kind of glad that Esen had stopped him when she did, he was tempted to do the same thing himself. He felt a little bad for Celestine seeing that he was having trouble trying to get onto Esen. He nodded his head lightly once Esen had asked if he could help Celestine. He wasn't exactly sure how he wanted to go about that but it shouldn't be too hard. It would be a lot easier if Celestine hadn't had wings. Then he could easily have picked up him and set him onto her back. He wasn't even looking forward to having to pick him up with his mouth at all but there weren't a whole lot of options since he didn't have hands with opposable thumbs. He inched closer to Celestine and stared down at him for a moment. 'I apologize ahead of time, just in case.' He said quietly before reaching over and grabbing hold of his tail as gently as he possibly could with his mouth. He lifted him up by his tail and moved him above Esen's back and tried to set him down carefully before releasing his tail all together. He really hadn't wanted to pick Celestine up like that either but it was faster than trying to shimmy him up onto her back by pushing him with his snout and aside from that option he hadn't thought of anything else.
|
Celestine glanced back to Nobu again when he apologized to him before he touched him. That made him a little nervous as to what he was about to do, but when he just grabbed his tail and picked him up he only whined softly as he stretched out and then drew himself up a little and started to curl up a little on Esen's back when Nobu started to put him down. Being picked up like that didn't hurt normally, but right now being stretched out to full length was a little painful. He sneezed once he was set down as a few hairs poked up his nose which in turn caused him to start coughing again quietly. He coiled himself up carefully, staying positioned between her wings so that he wouldn't fall off of her back. '...Thank you...' he said quietly. He nuzzled his head down into Esen's fur and closed his eyes. He was pretty glad to be nuzzled down into something warm as opposed to the cool, wet sand that he had been sprawled out on. He still didn't really like the idea of riding her but at least in this form he was very light and wouldn't be weighing her down. On top of that he was roughly the same color as she was so he didn't stand out too terribly much when placed against her.
Esen waited patiently for Nobu to pick Celestine up and put him down again and then for him to get comfortable before she stood up slowly and then looked over to Nobu. 'Thanks.' She glanced back to Celestine and shifted her wings just a little so that she could catch him if eh started to slide off of either side and then turned and started to move back toward the bridge again, moving a lot more slowly than she had on the way over and trying to walk carefully so that she didn't shift too much. She was well aware keeping Celestine on her back was almost all on her since he didn't have anything to hold on with but his teeth and well...that wasn't going to work too well. |
Nobu watched Celestine for a moment after he had started to get positioned on Esen's back. He nodded his head slightly after hearing both of them say thanks. He waited patiently for Esen to get moving before he started after her, making sure that he wasn't too far away from her on the off chance that Celestine wound up taking a spill. '...Is it safe to assume that the house your blades are in is where Aamori's brother lives?' He didn't think leaving the blades at that house was that big a deal especially if that was where Aamori's bother lived. It'd be easy enough to go back and get them. '...and... why in the world are you so small anyway? Aren't dragons supposed to be... bigger?' He asked finally. Since they were moving he figured it'd be alright to ask and he was rather curious to hear the answer to why he was so small. He hadn't seen a whole lot of dragons change forms but even Hikari was a lot larger than this.
|
Celestine groaned again when Nobu mentioned Yoichi. He didn't even want to think about him anymore. 'Yes...it's his house... I was walking back to the island last night after the rain hit and he and his mother stopped me and got me to come back to their house instead...' He really wished that he had just gotten to go back tot he island instead, but he'd been too tired to argue at the time. He cracked one eye open and looked over to Nobu slowly before he huffed and closed it again upon hearing his second question. 'Most are...I can get bigger... I have three forms...this, the one you're used to, and the larger version of this with poison fangs added in. I don't like this form very much, I can't do much of anything with it...' He sighed again and then burrowed his head a little further into Esen's fur. 'I wasn't trying to change into this form... I was just trying to get away from Yoichi and I was so...humiliated that I ended up transforming on accident... Now I can't turn back because he took my clothes and put them somewhere that I can't find them and his mother didn't feel like looking for them... So I'm stuck like this until he brings my things back or someone finds me some clothes.' He was kind of glad that it was Esen and Nobu he was able to talk to now. It still hurt his throat to try to grumbles and growl his way through a conversation. It hurt his head a little to talk like this, but so long as he kept his mental voice very soft and quiet it didn't bother him too badly. He was mostly only putting forth enough effort to be heard and that was all.
Esen kept quiet as she walked back over the bridge and just listened to Celestine's answers to Nobu's question. She tilted her head a little in confusion when he said that he was humiliated until he changed forms, but she didn't ask. She had a feeling Nobu might want to but something told her he would rather crawl under a rock than tell what happened. 'What happened to your wings?' she asked instead, keeping her own voice soft to match his. '...I got tossed in a drawer and closed in,' he responded flatly, sure that was plenty enough to give them an idea of how his wings got all messed up. After all, it was no secret anymore that he could get a little crazy when he was locked up. '...Yoichi was about to leave and I still didn't have my clothes... He told me to stay in his room where his parents couldn't see me like this and he'd bring them after he was finished getting ready, but I had a feeling he'd forget and leave me locked in there all day, so I followed him out and was trying to get his attention and instead of getting my clothes he took me back in his room and tossed me in a drawer so I couldn't follow him out again...Then his mom found me and let me outside.' He figured he'd best give an explanation as to why he was in a drawer to save them from having to ask for one since his original statement was a little vague. |
Nobu was a bit glad at least to have it confirmed that the house was where Aamori's brother lived. That was a relief at least. He knew what it felt like to be away from your blades for an extended period of time and he could only imagine how Esen felt knowing they weren't with Celestine and in someone elses house. At least now they knew who's house and anywhere directly connected to Aamori was probably a safe place. He was also glad to hear that Aamori's mother had pressed for Celestine to go back to their house with them. If he'd been out in the rain it was better for him to be in a house where he could get dry. Had he come back to the island to be with him and Esen he'd likely have stayed in his wet clothes and protested going in either of the two houses and he wouldn't have looked forward to dealing with that. He was a little surprised hearing that Celestine had three forms. He'd never known a dragon to have more than the usual two. 'At least this form is easy to transport... and it probably doesn't hurt that it's kind of cute looking.' He mostly added the last part just to tease him a little. He was a bit curious to know what had humiliated him enough that he accidentally changed into this form but he wasn't sure he should even ask. His curiosity may get the better of him sooner or later. '...Sounds like you've had a rough time.' He commented after hearing about the whole drawer incident. '...Aside from the drawer-trauma ...how are you feeling? You were getting sick yesterday... I remind you.'
|
Celestine glanced back to Nobu again when he said that this form was easier to transport and then made the cute comment. 'Yes, just what I need...I look adorable and I'm just the right size for squealing girls to cuddle...' He shook his head weakly and then just lay silently until Nobu asked how he was feeling. He sighed again softly, honestly thinking about not answering, but he didn't really want to fight anymore and it wasn't too hard to figure out how he was feeling. 'I've felt better...' he said simply. He had a full list of things that were wrong, but he didn't see that complaining about them would do much good. At current he had a climbing fever, a massive headache, a sore throat, and a nearly useless nose. Being tossed in that drawer really hadn't been much help for him at all considering that he'd nearly beaten himself senseless trying to get out and screamed himself hoarse. That was the biggest reason hat his throat was sore and why his side hurt and he was too tired to even move.
Esen glanced back again, or tried to at least before she said softly. 'Now what kind of answer is that...?' she asked quietly. She was pretty sure Celestine was sick. She could almost smell it on him. At least worrying about him gave her something to focus on aside form the blade separation anxiety. Still, she trusted Celestine not to leave them where he didn't think they were safe. Celestine sighed softly and cracked his eyes open again to look at her. '...I have a headache and sore throat...' he offered up, hoping that would be good enough to suffice. his breathing was noisy enough that it was kind of obvious that he had a stuffy nose as well. |
Nobu shook his head lightly. 'What... you don't like it when girls cuddle you and tell you that you're cute?' He paused and laughed quietly. '...and here I thought that type of attention would be nice. I know I certainly don't mind when someone cuddles me but I don't often get told I'm cute. It must be the mass of purple fur and tails...' He said jokingly. He wasn't surprised to hear Celestine's response to how he felt. He knew that Celestine was still sick he just wanted a list of everything that wasn't feeling right. He already had a good idea that Celestine was beyond the point that he and Esen could take care of him and he'd get better. He was mostly looking to know what was wrong so that he could tell Marius if need be. If it was bad enough he'd need to have some dragon looking after him or at the very least be well aware of how he was feeling. He was glad that Esen had already started to press for a better answer out of Celestine. He shook his head lightly after he responded with a headache and sore throat. He assumed there was more or at least he thought there was considering he'd been locked in a drawer and his wings were the way they were. 'What else?' He asked as he stared over at Celestine.
|
Celestine again looked over to Nobu at his comment about never being told he was cute. '...You are...but you're an dog...sort of... It's not a compliment to be referred to as cute the way they mean it when talking about me... Dragons weren't meant to be cute...' He was a little irritated when Nobu asked what else was wrong after he gave a short list but he just sighed and shut his eyes once again. '...I already told you my side hurts where I was ramming the drawer...and I can't breathe that well through my nose...' He was avoiding the main problem like the plague.
Esen tried to glance back again as they were approaching the other bridge. 'And?' she pressed a little more. '........I'm tired,' he said after a long pause. 'And...?' she tried again. He sighed heavily, 'And half of my feathers are going to have to be plucked.' Esen chuckled a little, 'And?' she asked again. Celestine opened his eyes again and stared at her for a moment, laying his ears back. '...And I'm starting to get a little irritated...' He finally just sighed and shut his eyes again. '...I woke up with a fever....' he said, finally giving up. 'Beyond that if there's something wrong, I don't know about it...' |
Nobu would have rolled his eyes at what Celestine had said had they been visible. 'I've got news for you kid, I doubt our creator intended us to be cute in any sense of the word. We are pretty freaky looking with all the eyes, tails and things. Not to mention we can be quite scary if we wanted to.' He paused. 'If our creator meant us to be cute I think he'd have made us into tiny fluffy cats or something.' He listened again when Esen started to press more answers out of Celestine. Clearly she thought there was more wrong with him as well. He just shook his head lightly once it seemed that Esen had gotten everything out of him. '...Now why couldn't you just say all of that from the get-go and avoid causing yourself to become irritated?' He asked and then glanced around a little. He was glad that they were already to the second bridge. Pestering answers out of Celestine really did seem to help pass the time since they were walking slower to make sure Celestine didn't go anywhere. '...We're going to have to do something about that fever, you know. It can't be allowed to get worse.' He told him as he looked over at him.
|
Celestine just sighed again when Nobu told him that they were going to have to do something about the fever, uninterested with even gracing his previous question with a response. 'Yeah, yeah...I know...' he said reluctantly, '...I just don't want to be bothered... Kanone hovers too much...' He opened his eyes again and then finally looked over to Nobu again, just looking him over silently while mulling over his earlier remarks about not being intended to be cute. '...Well...whatever his intention was...you don't look freaky to me,' he said quietly, 'You're bodies look graceful but strong, your fur is soft and richly colored, your tails are decorative and neat... The way you can move around without opening your eyes is amazing and even when your eyes are open they are beautifully colored. That's not to even mention everything else that is special about you. You don't strike me as something freakish at all.... on the contrary...I find you beautiful...and intriguing...' He sighed softly and then closed his eyes again. 'Though...I suppose my opinion doesn't count for much. I do a fine job of freaking out half of my village myself. I may see things different, but....that's what I see. Though I don't think "cute" is really the best word.'
Esen chucked softly as she started across the sand again and back toward the houses though she started to slow as she got closer since she wasn't sure which one to go to. 'I think he's trying to flatter us...' she said playfully as she glanced over to Nobu again. '...Which house should I take him to? I don't think he wants to go to either one.' |
Nobu stared over at Celestine after he had finished his array of flattering comments about the way they looked. 'I wouldn't say your opinion doesn't count... but coming from an animal lover like you, I think I'd be more surprised to hear you say something bad about the way we looked.' He shrugged slightly. 'Most of the population looks at us all a little strangely, especially when we're mad enough to growl and or bare our fangs.' He looked more towards Esen herself once she'd asked which house to take him to. Since Celestine didn't want Kanone hovering over him that was pretty much a given, not to mention there wasn't really any bed space in the other house. 'You may as well take him up the one Kyran's staying in. At least there's bed space for him in that house.' He told her before he glanced over toward the other house. He started to stray away from Esen and Celestine, fully intending to head over to that house. '...I'll be back over in a few minutes.' He told them as he continued walking in that direction. He didn't foresee Esen having any real trouble getting Celestine to that house from here so he didn't think it'd be a problem if he broke away from now.
|
Celestine sighed softly when Nobu said that he'd be more surprised to hear him say something bad. Well...that was true, there honestly wasn't an animal that he could think of that he had any qualms with. Every animal was unique and they were all made the way they were for a reason, it was how they survived. He started to crack his eyes open again when Nobu said that he would be over in a few minutes and then raises his head up to look after him. 'Where are you going!?' he asked quickly. He had a sinking feeling judging from the direction he was heading in that he was going to get someone. 'Gods, please not Kanone...' he groaned softly.
Esen nodded slightly to Nobu when she told him where to take Celestine and then moved over to the porch of the house Kyran and Nero had claimed. Once she made it to the porch she started up the steps slowly and carefully though soon she felt Celestine starting to slide off so she turned around that best that she could and snagged him around the middle with her teeth, though she held him very loosely. Her teeth couldn't get through his scales she already knew, so that was what she was holding onto. Since Celestine didn't seem to be complaining about being held like that she moved a little more quickly up the steps and then over to the door before she laid him down gently and started to scratch at it with her claws, hoping someone was awake enough to open t so she could take him inside...or they could, either way. |
Nobu paused briefly when he heard Celestine ask where he was going. That much should have been obvious so he didn't bother answering it. In fact he didn't bother responding to the last thing Celestine said either. He didn't really intend to let Kanone know but he was limited on who he could tell. He hadn't told very many people in the group that he could talk and if his memory served him correctly Marius and Kanone were the only ones in the house he was headed to that knew he could talk. Once he reached the house he climbed up the steps and went straight to the door. He stood beside it and looked inside, quite thankful that these french doors had the glass inlay that made it easy to see inside even without having to be taller. Unfortunately it still seemed to be a little difficult to tell if anyone was up unless they moved through the center of the house. He shook his head slightly and took to scratching at the door. If he was lucky Kanone wouldn't be the one to hear him scratching and answer the door. He couldn't begin to think of what to tell him he wanted if that were the case.
Kyran had been awake, luckily for Esen. He'd been sitting up in bed, debating with himself if he really felt like getting up. He was still sore and had a couple nasty bruises to show for it. Since he'd been here he had at least gotten a shower in and thrown away what was left of his shirt. Thanks to that stupid fish he'd pretty much had no shirt left to wear. He picked up on the scratching easily enough since he'd taken the first room on the right. His bedroom door was open and it'd been pretty quiet in the house since the only other person inside was Nero. He'd kind of grown used to recognizing the sound of scratching at a door, Nobu had done it quite a bit back home. He wasted very little time getting up from the bed while trying to mind the areas where he was the most sore. He started out of the room and looked over at the front door to see who it was. He quirked a brow slightly when he saw Esen at the door and then he noticed what was on the ground before her. He stepped over to the door and opened it up, staring down at her and then down to the... thing. "...Good morning, Esen." He started before he knelt down to get a better look at what he would've liked to have thought was her breakfast but there was something familiar about it. "...What is this thing?" He asked aloud as he reached out to touch it to see if it was still alive. |
Esen wagged her tails slightly when Kyran opened the door and told her good morning before she sat back to give a clear view of Celestine. She was glad that it was him rather than Nero who'd come to open it or she really would have rather dart off the porch. She tilted her head a little when Kyran started to reach for Celestine and then looked down at him. She sighed softly, half wishing that Celestine hadn't beaten his wings up like that. The poor kid looked like she'd mauled him before she brought him up here.
Celestine hadn't really been bothered by the way that Esen was carrying him since she wasn't stabbing his stomach with her teeth. It wasn't that comfortably, but it didn't really hurt so he didn't complain. Once she'd laid him down he just sighed and closed his eyes again while laying there right where she'd left him, already well aware that he was going to be moved again. His ear laid back slightly when he heard the door open and then Kyran's voice, though he was a little annoyed to hear him refer to him as a 'thing.' Honestly, was a dragon that hard to recognize just because it was smaller? Once he felt a hand against him he turned his head to face Kyran, opening those emerald and gold eyes of his. He sighed softly and then laid his head back down while grumbling hoarsely at him. "...What does it look like...?" Of course as soon as he actually started making noise to speak again he burst into a tiny fit of coughs as the action caused a pain in his throat. Luckily for Nobu, Kanone was still snored out on the bed in the first bedroom where he'd been left and a light scratch at the door wasn't enough to wake him. It was Marius who picked up on it from where he was sitting at the table with a glass of water. His ear twitched slightly when it picked up the sound and he glanced back over his shoulder before finally standing up and walking over to the door. He tilted his head a little when he saw Nobu there, though considering the scratching he wasn't surprised to see a 'dog.' He reached to open the door and then reached over to place his hand on Nobu's head and rub him behind the ears. "Celestine isn't in here if that's who you're looking for," he told him simply. He hadn't really seen much of anyone all morning except for Aamori, and that was only because she was sleeping out in the open where he didn't have much of a chance not to see her when he got up. |
Kyran tilted his head slightly when the small creature moved and looked up at him. After seeing it's eyes it really did look all that more familiar. He sighed quietly when he caught what had been said. Of course it wasn't as easily understood as he would've liked but considering his career he'd kind of learned to pick up on what someone was saying no matter how hard it was to understand. After all, not every single person in all of Arienh spoke as clearly as he would have liked. "Honestly, it looks like Esen brought us a present... one she's already tried to eat..." He responded with a shrug. If he could look worse he probably could've been mistaken for road kill. "Celestine, I'd love to ask you... what in the world happened but I think I may save that question for when you don't look like you've been chewed on and spit out." He continued to stay knelt down where he was for a moment before he reached his hand out again to pick Celestine up. He wasn't exactly sure how he should go about that so he just took hold of him by sliding his hand under him and picking him up. Once he had him off of the porch he pulled him a bit closer to his body before he stood up. He started to turn towards the door that was across from his. The room was free and he figured that was probably why Esen had dropped Celestine at the front door. He paused and looked back at her while she sat on the porch. "...You're more than welcome to come inside Esen, if you want to that is." He told her before he continued over to the bedroom. He pushed the door open and headed straight for the bed. His first thought was to put Celestine on the pillow since he was so small. After he set him down he stared at him for a moment before sighing quietly. "...Unfortunately I doubt I can wait. Can you at least tell me why you're so small? I mean... I thought you'd be... well... bigger... in your dragon form and less... like a garden snake with a birds wings."
Aamori had been asleep and probably would've been asleep for awhile longer had she not finally tossed just far enough that she slipped clean off the chaise lounge chair, smacking her face right against the floor. Conveniently it forced her to wake up not too long after Marius had gone to answer the door. It really did look like she needed a decent sized space to sleep or else she was liable to roll off of it. Or at least she'd managed to do that on most raised surfaces that she'd slept. She laid face first on the floor for a few moments, tangled up in the blanket Marius had been gracious enough to share. She finally started to sit up, her legs still tangled in the blanket. "...owwiiiee..." She mumbled quietly to herself while she began rubbing her forehead which just so happened to be the first thing to hit the floor. Nobu was quite relieved to see Marius coming to the door. He looked up at Marius after he had opened the door and rubbed behind his ears. He nodded his head slightly after hearing what he had said about Celestine not being here, he knew that of course. It'd be kind of hard for Celestine to be in two places at once. 'I know that. Esen took him to the other house, the one Kyran and Nero are in.' He started. 'It's a relatively involved story, I suppose. But in short, Celestine's gotten a bit sicker since yesterday and he's running a fever now. Esen and I can't very well take care of him properly, let alone do anything to lower his fever so I figured it best to let someone know.' He shook his head slightly. '...and of the two people who know that I can actually talk, aside from Celestine himself of course... he voiced a disapproval that I tell Kanone. So... here I am.' He had heard something hit the floor before but was only now getting around to checking. He leaned to the side slightly so that he could see into the house and stared at Aamori for a moment, noting that she was on the floor. Which likely meant that she'd been the cause of the noise. |
Celestine just sighed again when Kyran said that he looked like a present Esen had chewed on. "...Well, that's nice to know..." he mumbled. He shut his eyes again and then leaned his head into the porch a little more when he heard him say that he would love to ask what had happened. Well, since he didn't ask, he didn't feel like explaining. He opened his eyes again when he felt Kyran scooping his hand under him and then lifted his head again. He turned his head and let it rest on Kyran's wrist lightly and curled his tail up around his forearm to help make himself a little more secure. For all intents and purposes he seemed pretty content laying right there like that. He rather enjoyed laying against something warm right now, though the heat emitting from his underbelly was probably a little more evident by now. Once Kyran went to lay him down on the pillow he slowly unwrapped his tail from his arm and then curled up on the pillow with a soft sigh. He cracked his eyes open again and looked up to Kyran again when he asked about his size. He hissed at him quietly when he compared him to a garden snake with bird wings, though he knew that was close to what he resembled were it not for the fur and canine-shaped head and odd whiskers. Obviously, he didn't really like that comparison. "...The other one is bigger..." he started quietly, barely making sounds loud enough to even be heard to avoid hurting his throat again, "...This is the...harmless version." He rolled his eyes a little, "...Tiny and non-poisonous." He did of course have his sharp little teeth, but be didn't have the two larger fangs that could actually do some damage and poison something. He shut his eyes again and coughed quietly before he laid the tip of his tail over his nose and rubbed it.
Esen tilted her head a little when Kyran told her that she could come in if she wanted, though she didn't move until after he had gotten inside and started for the bedroom. Finally she stepped through the door and then moved to the bedroom behind Kyran. She just came around to the side of the bed and sat down beside Kyran and looked over the edge of the bed at Celestine on the pillow. She shook her head when he hissed at Kyran and then just laid her head down on the edge of the bed. Marius kept his eyes on Nobu while he explained to him where Celestine was. He sighed softly and then shook his head a little upon hearing that Celestine had gotten sicker. He'd barely been aware that he was sick in the first place. He turned his head away briefly when he heard something hit the floor, and it didn't take him long to realize what it was. He titled his head a little and then glanced back to Nobu again, pretty sure that Aamori wasn't hurt too badly. He nodded slightly when Nobu said that he and Kanone were the only two in this house that knew he could talk and that Celestine hadn't wanted Kanone. He chuckled softly and then rubbed Nobu's head again. "Alright, I will take care of him," he told him quietly, "Thank you, Nobu." He sighed softly, glad that he'd already gotten dressed for the day before he came out of the bedroom. He glanced back to Aamori again and smiled slightly before he turned around to face her. "Are you alright, Aamori?" he called over to her once she started to sit up a little. |
Kyran shook his head when he heard Celestine hiss at him. "If you don't like what I think you look like when you're in this form, don't change into it." He told him quietly. He listened to all of Celestine's explanation and then glanced down at Esen briefly, seeing that she had come inside. He was a bit surprised to hear that Celestine had three forms rather than the usual two. This was, to his knowledge the first time that he'd ever seen or heard of a dragon with the ability to change into an additional form. Aside from the relatively cute and harmless nature of this form it was kind of neat. Just from the sounds of it this form he was in was pretty pointless, especially since it didn't look like he could do much of anything other than sit there and look adorable. He laughed quietly to himself before looking back down to Esen. He reached over slowly and rubbed her head gently, if she didn't evade his hand. "I think it's a good thing that Esen brought you here. We wouldn't want a pelican, seagull or other large bird making off with you just because of your size."
Aamori started trying to unwrap her legs from the blanket after she'd finished rubbing her forehead. She was glad that it didn't take her too long to get free from the blanket. Once she was loose she pushed the blanket back onto the lounge chair and then started to get to her feet. She looked over at Marius when she heard him ask if she was alright. She nodded her head weakly. "Yes... I think so." She paused. "......That happens..... a lot...." She said with a heavy sigh. She started to move away from the chaise and more into the kitchen, glancing down a bit to see Nobu at the door. She tilted her head slightly, it was a little odd to have just Nobu at the door... in her opinion at least. "...Um... this may sound weird... but... did Nobu need something?" She asked curiously. Nobu nodded his head a little when Marius had said that he'd take care of Celestine and then thanked him. He was really glad at this point in time that he had spoken to Marius before in Caledonia. It made letting someone know about Celestine so much easier. During instances like this one he seriously thought about just letting everyone know that he could talk the way he could. It would make things easier when someone was hurt in some way. Especially if he was stuck without Marius, Kanone or Kyran around. He shifted slightly so that he could look over at Aamori again after Marius had asked if she was going to be alright. She didn't look hurt, other than a red mark on her forehead from where she'd hit the floor. He wasn't really that surprised to hear Aamori's question after she'd started into the kitchen area of the house. It must have looked a little strange to have him at the door by himself and to still have Marius standing there. Though he wasn't sure if she had heard Marius talking to him. That would surely be fun to try and explain if she had heard anything. |
Celestine hissed again after Kyran told him not to change into this form. "I wasn't trying to in the first place! You could keep your comments to yourself, I know what I look like..." He coughed again quietly and then burrowed his head down a little further into the pillow. Celestine was never too fond of being told how cute or girly he was, and frankly being a winged garden snake didn't strike him much better. He sighed when he heard Kyran laugh and then glanced up at him looking mildly annoyed at his comments about the birds. "...You you honestly think I am stupid enough to stay in this form long enough to get eaten by a bird?" he huffed slightly. He huffed slightly, "I can change between any of the three at will...I'm pretty sure I could defend against a bird..." The only problem was when he went straight from his humanoid form to this one his clothes didn't go with him, though if he went into his larger form and then to this one he could go back to his humanoid form and still be dressed...unless he wasn't dressed in the first place, of course. He turned his head around a little and opened one wing before he finally just started trying to preen his feathers a little since they were bothering him. He carefully ran them between his lips to straighten then out, then whenever he found a broken one he just clamped down on it and pulled until it came out. He was avoiding the longer feathers and just concentrating on the smaller ones for the moment since yanking any of the others was going to leave a gap in his wing.
Esen shook her head slightly when Celestine hissed again and listened to Kyran. She couldn't really understand a word Celestine was saying, all she understood was when he started coughing. She whined softly and then looked up to Kyran when she noticed his hand. She rained her head a little and laid her ears back as she shrank away a little but she didn't go too far and let him touch her. Once his hand was on her she leaned up into it a little than then nuzzled lightly against his side for a moment before she laid her head back down on the edge of the bed again. Marius smiled slightly and nodded to Aamori said she was okay and that it happened a lot. He chuckled softly and then shook his head. "Perhaps you should have kept the bed." he said lightly. He glanced back to Nobu for a moment and then over to Aamori when she asked if he needed something. He blinked and stared at her for a moment before he chuckled softly. "I think he just wants me to come outside," he said as he reached down to stroke his head again. "I don't see Celestine out here anywhere. I believe he was starting to get a little bit of a cold yesterday, so I'm going to walk over to the other house and check on him." He offered her another smile, "Sorry I didn't make breakfast but...haha you'd probably be safer making your own," he said playfully since they had already mentioned his horrid cooking skills. |
Kyran looked at Celestine and shook his head once more after hearing him hissing at him again. "You can stop hissing at me. It's getting you no where and only making you cough." He told him after listening to everything that he'd said. He meant nothing mean by what he'd said but obviously Celestine was sensitive about the way he looked at present. He sighed quietly and looked back down at Esen for a moment. He had expected Esen to shy away from him even just a little so he wasn't bothered that she had. He was glad that she did let him rub her head. At least she seemed to be getting a little better with people. He looked back down at Celestine and quirked a brow slightly after recalling something he had mentioned. "So tell me... if you can change between forms at will... why are you still in this form that you clearly don't like being in?"
Aamori continued to stand there for a few moments looking back at Marius. She nodded her head weakly when he said that he thought Nobu wanted him to come outside. She didn't exactly speak dog so she couldn't very well argue that even if it did seem weird. Honestly, what dog came over to a house to ask Marius of all people to come outside. What dog asked anything. "...Celestine was getting sick?" She asked trying not to sound worried. She'd slept most of yesterday so she hadn't gotten a chance to see Celestine. She had no idea that he was even starting to get sick but considering how the weather had been on top of everything that they went through to get the relic she could honestly say that she wasn't all that surprised to hear that. "...You'll let me know how he is right?" Of course she wouldn't have minded one bit to go see how he was for herself now that she knew he had been getting sick but she knew Marius was more than capable of going by himself and letting her know. "...About breakfast, it's alright. I'll figure something out." She said quietly. In all honesty she wasn't very good in the kitchen herself. She only knew how to successfully cook one thing and grilled fish didn't exactly sound much like something one ate for breakfast let alone it wasn't likely there was the fish to even grill. Nobu stood there quietly while they were speaking. He was at least glad that it didn't seem Aamori had over suspected that they were having a conversation. He looked up at Marius briefly once he'd reached down to stroke his head again. He finally started to step away from the door a little. He did think it was important that Marius got a look at Celestine as soon as possible and both of them just standing there wasn't getting them any closer to the other house. |
Celestine stopped preening his feathers when he heard Kyran's following question and looked up at him while trying to spit out a broken feather. He shook his head and sputtered for a moment before he finally dropped it to the pillow. He sighed and then glanced back to Kyran again. "...Because I'm naked," he grumbled bluntly. It wasn't quite as awkward telling that to another guy as compared to someone else's mother. "...My clothes just fall off when I go directly from that form to this one...and Aamori's STUPID brother put them somewhere where I couldn't find them WITH my blades...and then left." Clearly he still wasn't all that pleased with Yoichi right now. He again started coughing again after he explained and then just laid his head down and tried to take in a few deep breaths, though it was hard to breathe through his mouth in this form and right now it was equally hard to use his nose. He groaned and then closed his eyes tightly while nuzzling against the pillow, trying to rub his throbbing head against the pillow while also trying to rub it with his tail again.
Esen continued to sit there watching Celestine silently until he started coughing and gasping and then whined softly while he was trying to rub his head. After a moment she finally put her front paws on the bed and stretched over to the pillow so she could reach Celestine before she started to lick his head with the tip of her forked tongue. She wasn't all that sure what to do right now, but she did want to do something to help and she'd probably come closer to crushing his skill if she tried to rub his head with her paw so this was the best sh could come up with, though his fur was starting to get a little damp where she licked it in the same place. Celestine opened one eye when Esen started licking him and then lay still. It did feel pretty good at first, at least until he felt his fur getting wet. He scooted away and shook his head before rubbing that side of his face against the pillow. He sighed and then raised his head a little to nuzzle against Esen's muzzle, but then he just laid back down again. 'Thanks...but that's enough...' he thought to her quietly. Marius smiled slightly at Aamori and then nodded when she asked if he would let her know how he was. "Of course," he said gently. He smiled when she told him not to worry about breakfast and then nodded again. "Alright. I'll be back later." He looked back to Nobu again, seeing that he'd already backed up to let him out and then sighed as he stepped out the door and closed it softly behind him. He reached down to Nobu again and started to rub him behind the ears again as he moved closer to the edge of the porch and then started down the steps and across the sand to get to the other house. "...Do you now how sick he is?" he asked simply as he glanced down to him, "I doubt I will get much of an answer out of him...he never has liked to and the isn't feeling well." |
Kyran shook his head lightly, trying not to laugh after Celestine said that he was naked. He guessed he could understand staying in a form that he didn't like while he was out somewhere in public but now that he was here he could change if he wanted. He had a blanket to cover himself with until someone could get him some clothes, so he didn't really have to put himself through staying in the form he was in. He wasn't even going to bother asking how Aamori's brother became involved in any of this. He wasn't sure he wanted to know considering how Celestine sounded just by saying what he had. He watched Esen when she moved so that she could lick Celestine. "...You can change forms here if you wanted. It isn't like you couldn't hide under the blanket until some clothes were found for you."
Nobu waited as patiently as possible while Marius came outside and started for the steps. He followed after him of course and then walked beside him once he'd started towards the other house. He looked up at him after hearing him ask if he knew how sick Celestine was. He nodded his head slightly. '...It was a pain to get it out of him, but Esen and I did finally get everything... I think.' He turned his head back down so he could watch where he was walking. 'He's running a fever, though I'm not sure exactly how had it is. He's coughing and can't breathe well through his nose. His side and head both hurt as well.' He paused. '...Celestine and I got into a little tiff yesterday and he left the island and wound up out in the rain for awhile. Aamori's brother and mother found him and took him back to their house, from what I've been told. But I believe the damage had already been done by the time they found him.' He explained. He continued walking and finally glanced back up at Marius for a moment. 'Oh... and... something happened that I didn't press on. He's... currently a rather tiny dragon...' |
Celestine glanced up to Kyran again when he said that he could change forms if he wanted. He sighed quietly and then glanced down to the blanket. He guessed he could change forms here since there weren't any girls in the house...well, short of Esen. After a moment he finally turned and slithered off of the pillow and down under the covers where he disappeared all but a lump under the blanket. 'Esen...would you mind...ducking or something...for a few minutes?'
Esen tilted her head a little and then shrank back and moved away from the bed before laying down and lowering her head to her paws while staring off under the bed. She had a good feeling Celestine was only asking her not to look because she was able to talk to him like this. She didn't know too many people who hid from their animals while changing or whatnot. Celestine waited a few moments and then turned around under the cover so that his head was facing the pillow before he changed forms again. He closed his eye and again there was a small explosion of the greenish dust that sent the blanket flying up into the air a couple of feet, though as the dust dissipated and disappeared Celestine was quick to roll onto his side and grab the blanket, pulling it back down over his lower body, staying covered from his waist down. He wasn't all that thrilled about being naked and hiding under a blanket any more than he was about being a tiny dragon. The only plus side to this was that he could breathe through his mouth more freely, which he immediately took advantage of. His face was still very flushed and it was probably a little more apparent by the way he furrowed his eyebrows that his head was hurting. He curled up on his side and folded his arm in front of him to make sure the blankets stayed down. He closed his fist in front of his mouth again for a moment as he coughed and tried to clear his throat a little. He swallowed and then nuzzled down into the pillow and cracked his eyes open again before looking up to Kyran again. After a moment he just sighed and closed his eyes again, keeping his lips parted a little so that he could breathe. Marius listened silently to Nobu as he gave him a list of what all was wrong with Celestine and then nodded as he reached the steps to the other house. He reached down to rub Nobu's head again. "Don't worry...I will take care of him." He chuckled softly when he said that Celestine was currently a tiny dragon. "Oh dear..." he shook his head a little as he started up the steps and then chuckled again, "Someone must have really gotten on his nerves..." He knew that Celestine only changed into that other form on accident was he was really upset or flustered about something. He blinked when he realized that the door was already open so he just stepped inside and glanced back to Nobu again, waiting to see if he was coming in as well before he closed the door and glanced around. |
Kyran tilted his head slightly when he saw Celestine starting to move under the blanket. He suspected that meant he had planned to change forms. He glanced down to Esen briefly when she started to move and lay her head down on her paws. He shook his head lightly and was about to go ahead and look away himself but he found that rather difficult once he'd caught sight of the little explosion of greenish dust. His eyes followed the blanket when it lifted off of the bed and then looked back down once Celestine had grabbed it and covered himself up. He focused on Celestine a little more once he'd rolled over and seemed to try and get comfortable. He could tell a bit easier now that Celestine wasn't feeling all that well. He had originally thought he may be sick but it wasn't everyday that he looked at someone who was sick and in a dragon form rather than a humanoid one so he wasn't exactly sure. "Aside from your obvious distaste for that form, it's kind of convenient to be able to change and be that small at will." He commented before he thought he heard the front door close. He turned slightly and looked back at the bedroom door before he started to inch closer so that he could look towards the front door. He peeked his head around the corner and looked at the door, rather surprised to see Marius was here and with Nobu as well. "...Good morning." He paused. "...Is it presumptuous of me to assume you're here to see Celestine?" He was fairly positive that was why Marius was here but he hadn't been aware that anyone from the other house had been informed about Celestine.
Nobu looked up at Marius again and started to nod his head slightly. 'He did say that he was humiliated but he didn't go into any specifics with me or Esen. So I honestly don't know what happened.' He told him. Once Marius had stepped inside the house and looked back at him he followed through the threshold and stopped just to the side of him. It didn't take him long at all to figure out which room Celestine was in though for those without noses quite like his it was probably helpful that Kyran had peeked his head out of the one room and greeted Marius when he did. |
Celestine sighed softly when he heard Kyran say that being able to change into a form that small at will was convenient. "...I guess so..." he whispered before he closed his eyes. It might be a little more convenient if his clothes didn't fall off like that or he could master not doing it when he got flustered the way that he did with Yoichi. His ear twitched slightly when he heard the door open and then heard Kyran speaking to someone about him. He sighed, pretty sure Nobu had dragged someone over. He wasn't all that surprised to hear Marius' voice answering.
Marius looked over to the doorway when Kyran poked his head out and told him good morning. He nodded slightly and offered him his usual warm smile. "Good morning. I apologize for coming over so suddenly." He lowered his head to rest on Nobu's head when Kyran asked him about Celestine and then nodded. "Yes, a little bird told me that he was here and not feeling very well. Though I am glad to see that you are up and moving already." He rubbed Nobu's ears one more time before he started to move over to the bedroom and sighed softly after peeking inside and spotting Celestine, though obviously he had changed forms again already. He assumed later he was going to have to make a little trip over to the training building to get the kid come clothes or something. He wouldn't send anyone else, except for maybe Kanone, but even he barely had anything worth wearing and with that bruise on him he really doubted that he was going to want to go running about shirtless to get things. He smiled at Kyran again, "May I come in?" he asked simply. |
