Aamori kept her eyes on Nanashi after she had told him about the shirt and glove and nodded her head lightly after he had said thank you. If anything Hisako should probably have gotten that thanks but she wasn't about to go into a drawn out little speech about how the shirt came to be made, especially since Nanashi had a headache and wasn't feeling well. She sighed quietly after seeing him try to sit up and wind up right back where he started with the exception of the back of his hand over his mouth. She shook her head lightly after he had finally opened his eyes again and then wound up apologizing. "...No need to apologize..." She started. "...Just get some rest." She added quietly. She watched Hikari for a moment once she had started round the bed and started to put the icepack on Nanashi's head. While Hikari was doing that she stepped away from the bed and started over towards the dresser to set the shirt and glove down on top of it. She turned back to look over at the bed for a moment before she started to step away from the dresser. She headed back towards the door, mostly because she'd let Nanashi know about the shirt already and she had left it somewhere easily seen. She would've told him it was on the dresser but she didn't want to bother him with a headache. She was pretty sure that he'd find the shirt once he was able to get up, anyway. Once she reached the door she went ahead and slipped out of the room.
Zale just kind of stared over in Celestine's direction after he had knelt down rather than continuing to lean over. He shifted slightly after Celestine had come to the conclusion that the blades were his. It was probably a little more than obvious, these blades didn't exactly grow on trees. He continued to lay beside the blades even after Celestine had finished everything that he had said. He guessed he might have been being a little over protective of the blades but at the same time he didn't exactly know everyone here as well as he knew Aamori, for example. He did assume that he could probably feel a little safer with the blades around Celestine and Kyran but even still, they were blade holders too. He turned his head slightly and opened his mouth so that he could grab hold of the strap that was keeping the blades together. He closed his mouth and started to stand up, inching a little closer towards where Celestine was. He'd feel a lot safer if they were either buried at the bottom of the ocean again or someone had at least laid claim to them and been keeping an eye on them. '...So Aamori dug them out...?' He asked, mostly clarifying that he'd heard correctly. He had already thought it was probably her since he didn't think anyone else could get to them. 'I'm a little surprised Nobu and Esen even bothered.' He started. 'They could really hurt themselves with these...' He commented before coming to a stop just shy of the edge of the house. He continued to stay under the house and went ahead and laid down again, setting the blades down in front of himself. 'I guess if someone had to find them, I should be glad it was someone of Aamori's standing.' |
Nanashi sighed softly as he glanced back to Aamori again when she told him to just get some rest. Well, he would certainly love to...if his headache would let him. He really hoped that the ice pack would help him get to sleep again or something. He did close his eyes again once he'd noticed Aamori move away from the bed, and he assumed that she was going to lay down the things that she had brought him. He really was appreciative that she had him made another shirt, though he also felt horrible that someone had to go through the trouble again, especially so soon. It never had been too easy for him to accept things from people and to him the original outfit was too much, a replacement shirt for one he's allowed be to torn to pieces was much more than he expected.
Hikari stood there for a moment and watched as Aamori started to leave the room before she looked back to Nanashi again. She rubbed his arm gently and then sighed and patted his arm gently. "We'll let you rest now..." she said quietly before she started away from the bed as well. She moved over to the dresser herself and looked around for a moment, half wondering if LaRae's clothes were sitting around there anywhere. After a moment she started pulling open the drawers to check inside. She wasn't sure where else her clothes would be so she wasn't surprised when she finally came across the bag that her clothes had been put in. She reached in to pull out the bag and then pushed the drawer closed again before she went back to the door herself and slipped back out into the hallway. Celestine watched silently as Zale took his blades and came to sit closer to him. He titled his head a little and brushed his cheek against Kyiri's ear and almost startled. The little cat had been so still that he had pretty much forgotten she was there. He nodded a little when Zale asked if it was Aamori who dug them out and then reached out to him and gently placed his hand on his head gently. "...Yes, I kind of wish she hadn't but..." he shook his head a little and sighed. He half smiled when he said that he didn't know why Nobu and Esen would bother. "...I'm sure they know that...they were careful," he said simply as he rubbed him behind the ear gently. He shook his head a little when he heard Zale's comment about Aamori's standing. "Be glad she didn't drown finding them..." he said simply, "...I swear sometimes I don't know what to do with her... She was supposed to be looking for the relic when she found them... She sent those up first and stayed under looking for the relic and then...ran out of air." He sighed and continued to rub the top of Zale's head, "...Kanone had to resuscitate her... I don't know that these were the first thing on her mind... Nobu and Esen took them from there and made sure they got back over here with us." He smiled weakly at him adn then moved his hand back behind his head again. "...What's wrong...not ready to have an owner?" he asked quietly. |
Aamori only lingered by the door for a moment after she had slipped out of the room. She started to head back into the kitchen, towards the dinning table. She glanced around a little after she noticed that Celestine wasn't in here with LaRae any longer. She assumed that he probably went back outside, or at least given his nature that was most likely where he would be. She stepped over to the chair beside LaRae and leaned against the back of it while looking down at her and the plate of food she'd come pretty close to finishing. "Do you need anything else?" She asked quietly before noticing that her glass was now near empty. She smiled weakly and moved around her so that she could grab the glass. "I'll just refill this." She told her before stepping away from the table and going to the sink to fill the glass. Once it was full she walked back over to the table and set the glass down near LaRae. "...Are you going to be alright?" She asked quietly as she finally started to pull a chair out so that she could sit down for a few minutes. She was at least glad that LaRae had found her voice again, she just hoped that she was able to shake this moodiness sooner rather than later.
LaRae lifted her eyes slightly from the food that she'd been steadily eating and glanced to Aamori momentarily after she had asked if she needed anything else. She shook her head lightly in response. Honestly she hadn't needed much else other then the food or else her stomach was liable to eat itself. She watched Aamori move around to grab the glass and then walk away with it. She went ahead and finished up what little amount of fruit had been left on the plate and then reached for the glass once Aamori had set it down again. After she'd taken a drink she set the glass down and looked over at Aamori. She nodded her head a little. "...Yeah." She paused. "I'll be fine." She answered quietly. She was feeling a little better than she had been. The bruises still bothered her of course but other than that her throat was starting to feel better and she wasn't quite as worked up as she had been yesterday. She was just really, really, glad to be out of that cell. That was enough to drive anyone batty, at least in her opinion. She stared over at Aamori briefly and then glanced in the direction of the double french doors. "...Celestine went outside..." She told her quietly. Zale continued to lay there, relatively still while Celestine touched his head and kept speaking. He was slightly curious to know why Celestine kind of wished Aamori hadn't found the blades. Aside from the fact that she apparently almost drown while fishing them out of the ocean. He laid his ears back very slightly once Celestine had said that Aamori was supposed to be looking for the relic when she found the blades. '...She probably would have completely overlooked them had she never known anything about the blades.' He commented. 'I buried them thinking no one would ever bother looking for them at the ocean floor, so I'm surprised at all of this.' He added quietly. He felt a little bad that Aamori had to be resuscitated over something like these blades but at least she was alright. His ears laid back again after hearing Celestine ask him if he wasn't ready to have an owner. He just laid there for a moment before responding. '...It isn't like that.' He paused. '...For a long while now I've just kind of been everyone's pet, for lack of better words. I could go wherever I wanted, do whatever I wanted and I was pretty happy not having to worry at all about the blades. I knew where they were and they weren't going anywhere.' He shook his head slightly and laid it down on his paws. '...Things are likely going to change now, drastically. I'm just not so sure I'm ready for that. I like things the way they are, it's fun this way.' |
Hikari didn't take long to return to the dining table once she had left the back bedroom. She glanced over to Aamori and LaRae for a moment before she came to a stop before she set the bag down on the table, out of the way of her now empty plate and the glass. "Well, I found your clothes," she said with a slight smile. "I can help you to a room whenever you're ready to change...or if you just want to get in your pants, that's fine. Kanone can hide his eyes for a few minutes." She didn't really mind obstructing his view with something. The skin between her wings was a little translucent, but there were two layers of it and it would be good enough to keep someone from seeing too much of her while she slipped into her pants.
Celestine continued to keep his hand on top of Zale's head as he listened to him and then sighed softly when he said that she may have completely overlooked them. "Maybe..." he agreed quietly, though as easily distracted as Aamori could be he didn't really see that she wouldn't have dug them up. He continued to rub his head gently as he listened to him and then sighed softly. "...Yes...things will change..." he said quietly, "...Though...I doubt that Aamori would be too possessive of you... I'm sure her brother will still play with you and you can still run errands like usual if you want. ...The only thing that I could tell you to do is go and hide them again but...well...maybe you should talk to Aamori...if you can." He tilted his head a little. "...She doesn't know that any of you can talk, but...considering the situation it might be a good idea... I don't really know how to explain this responsibility to her. I barely understand it myself other than to take care of the blades." |
Aamori sighed softly after hearing LaRae say that she’d be fine. That more or less seemed to be almost everyone’s answer when something happened to them. Then again she certainly didn’t expect LaRae to jump right out there and say everything that was bothering her, or that she really wasn’t going to be fine. Whatever she went through yesterday had been traumatic; she just kind of wished that LaRae would talk to someone about it. She stared over at her for a moment and then nodded her head lightly after hearing where Celestine had gone. “I kind of figured that…” She commented quietly before shifting a little in her chair. She focused on the bag that Hikari brought with her and set on the table for a moment before looking back to LaRae. She had just barely noticed the lack of clothing LaRae had at the moment once she had come inside. Though she couldn’t say she wasn’t surprised. That had been what she was in when they brought her back here last night. She shifted slightly and leaned so that she could kind of see down the short hall to where Kanone had been when she exited Hikari’s room. “Speaking of him, he’s been so quiet I barely noticed he was still here.” She said loud enough she knew Kanone would hear. She continued to sit where she was for a moment longer and then started to stand up to move away from the table. She didn’t really want to over crowd LaRae and she did want to see what Celestine was up to.
LaRae couldn’t help but shake her head lightly after hearing Aamori say that she kind of figured that was where Celestine was. What was the point in telling her when she apparently already knew? She sighed a little heavier. She was just a little touchy and that really shouldn’t have bothered her but it still did, just a little. It was such a waste of her breath. She shifted her glance over to Hikari after she had heard her say that she found her clothes. Her eyes trailed over to the bag and she nodded her head a little. “…Thank you…” She paused. “…I think I’d rather not fight putting on a shirt as well as my pants…” She said quietly as she pulled her wrists up in front of her and stared down at them. They were sore, tremendously sore and she was almost positive the motion alone of shimmying into her pants was going to hurt, not to mention her ankles were still bruised as well. She shut her eyes for a moment and sighed once more. She really did wish that there was some way to just completely wipe yesterday from her memory, along with the pain she was feeling. Zale listened quietly, in all seriousness for once as Celestine responded to the things he had said. He didn’t know Aamori as well as he would have liked to say he did but he did kind of agree with Celestine when he said that he didn’t think Aamori would be too possessive of him. If anything he was kind of glad that a person like Aamori had found the blades and not some overbearing collector of unique things. He’d probably never see the light of day again had someone like that found his blades. He lifted his head slightly after hearing Celestine say that the only thing he could tell him to do was hide the blades again though of course he followed that up with a ‘but’. ’The thought seriously crossed my mind.’ He paused. ’To just hide them all over again, that is…’ He told him quietly. He laid his ears back again for a moment and then lowered his head again. ’Explaining the responsibility isn’t that hard… it’s getting said person to understand it and be willing to take care of the blades… It’s just so much easier when you don’t have to worry about someone being careless with your blades…’ He said quietly and practically whined a little towards the end. He wasn’t really opposed to having an owner but he needed an owner who understood the responsibility. He wasn’t exactly fond of dying… he enjoyed life too much for that and he certainly didn’t want to be put in harm’s way just because he got stuck with an owner who may not be the most responsible person in the world. |
Kanone cracked open one eye from where he sat in the chaise chair. He had just been trying to relax with his arms behind his head, though he was still hearing what everyone said. He looked at Aamori when she spoke with the obvious intention of him hearing her and moved one hand from behind his head to wave her off. "I'm a door stop, ignore me," he said simply. After he spoke he just put his hand back behind his head again and closed his eyes again. He knew that LaRae was getting ready to try to change or at least he got that impression so he could at least try to be a gentleman about the whole thing. Though he had to admit, he was seeing an awful lot of panties around these new girls. First Aamori strips to her undies to go swimming in front of him, then she walks all the way back to his house in nothing but her undies and has him picking thorns out of her butt and now here LaRae was walking around in nothing but a shirt. The only one of them that he hadn't seen too much of was Hikari.
Hikari nodded her head slightly to acknowledge what LaRae had said about not wanting to fight getting into a short as well. "That's alright," she said patiently, "you're already in one." She looked down to LaRae's wrists when she held them up to look at them and then sighed softly before she moved closer to her and placed her hand gently on her shoulder as she leaned closer. "I would heal them if I could..." she said quietly. Unfortunately she didn't know much that she could do that would relieve her pain much, well other than give her some herbs like she had done to Celestine and she was out of those already. She moved her other hand down to lightly rest on her wrists and rubbed them gently for a moment, careful not to put a lot of pressure on them. She glanced over to Aamori when she started to get up and then looked back to LaRae again. "...Whenever you're ready let me know, okay?" she said softly, "I'll help you if you need it." Celestine sighed again quietly as he listened to Zale and then shook his head a little. He scooted a little closer to the house and reached down to the blades, carefully moving them to the side a little so that they weren't between him and Zale anymore. "...Come here," he said gently, patting his lap lightly. he waited for a moment to see if Zale was going to crawl into his lap as he was invited and then resumed rubbing him gently behind the ears and stroking his head lightly. "...Life isn't about fun and games, Zale... Things may be easier when it can be...but you have a job to do just as the others do, and whoever owns your blades has a job to do as well. I'll do my best to explain to her what it means to own these...if she can't accept it...then take them back and bury them again. ...I don't know how dependable Aamori can be...so I can't vouch for her... It's up to you and her to figure out." He gently stroked his head again and smiled weakly. "...Now stop whining...you've had your fun," he said softly. |
Aamori turned her attention back towards Kanone when she heard him respond and tilted her head slightly. "...You're a lousy door stop." She said jokingly. He was just laying in the chair so it wasn't like he was actually holding a door at all. She shook her head lightly and then glanced back towards the doors. She didn't really think that Hikari would need her help with getting LaRae into her pants so she figured she'd just slip outside while she could. She started towards the door finally and reached out to open it long enough for her to slip out onto the porch. After she had shut the door she stayed on the porch and stepped over towards the railing to look for Celestine. Of course it didn't take a whole lot of looking since he hadn't gone that far.
LaRae glanced to Hikari after she had said that it was alright; she was already in a shirt. She didn't really care for being in the shirt she was in but it was better than trying to fight getting out of this one and into her other one. She looked down at her wrists briefly after hearing her say that she would heal them if she could. She nodded her head slightly. She did know that, Hikari just seemed the type that would heal every ailment if it all in her power. She sat there quietly for a moment, even after Hikari had said that she would help her with her pants if she needed it. She finally started to scoot the chair out a little. "...Can you hand me my pants?" She figured if she scooted the chair out enough that she'd be able to at the very least get the pants on most of the way without standing up. Then of course that left her on her actual feet for a short period of time while she got the pants up the rest of the way and buttoned. Zale watched Celestine a little more closely than he probably needed to as soon as he reached over to move the blades a little. He shifted a little after Celestine had patted his lap and told him to come. He only tossed the idea around for a moment before he started to inch across the sand without so much as lifting his body and moved over to his lap a little. He didn't bother really getting in his lap, just enough so that he could lay his head down on him. He laid there pretty quietly and listened to Celestine while he spoke. He probably disagreed with him on one thing. Life could be about fun and games if he wanted it to be and frankly that was mostly what he enjoyed out of life. All this seriousness was so boring and draining. He'd much rather be up running around and looking for someone to play with. '...I don't think I would really call it a job. We don't have to have owners and the blades don't have to belong to anyone. If we would rather keep them hidden that is kind of our choice.' He told him. 'In my case... I preferred not having anything to worry about. I'm just not ready for that to change...' He added quietly. '...I do think however, that I will give Aamori a chance. The only downside is that after she takes possession of the blades if I become dissatisfied with her it's not entirely an easy feet to just take the blades away and bury them again.' It really wasn't all that easy to take the blades away from someone, unless another person was taking them. He himself couldn't really get them away from her for good, they'd still be her's, just misplaced. He shifted a little and wagged his tail a couple times when he heard the door open and someone come outside. Judging by the sound from the shoes he assumed it to be female and likely Aamori since he had kind of familiarized himself with the sound of her boots when she walked. |
Kanonce scoffed slightly at Aamori's comment about his making a lousy door stop and then motioned to either side of him briefly. "I'm on break," he said simply. Both of the doors were closed to either side of him so he couldn't do much to hold them at current. Of course he had only meant that as in he was just there, not that he intended to hold doors. He was pretty sure they had real door stops for that.
Hikari moved out of the way when LaRae started to slide her chair back and then nodded a little when she asked her to hand her the pants. "Sure..." she said simply as she moved back to the bag and shifted her shirt out of the way so that she could get to her pants. Once she'd pulled them from the back she held them over to LaRae again and then moved closer to her again once she'd taken them before she slipped behind the chair and just stood there to obstruct the view. She glanced back to Kanone and half smiled before she opened one wing just enough to hide LaRae from view. She had already noticed Aamori slip away not that it would have mattered. They were all girls after all. Kanone watched as Hikari moved around to block his view and then nearly rolled his eyes. "Oh come on, what am I going to see that I didn't already see when she came out?" he asked before he just moved his hand to cover his eyes. "There, I'm not looking." Celestine continued to listen silently, though of course his views hadn't changed ever since he was young. He had come to the conclusion that having fun all of the time was a huge waste of time and when something important came up anyone that never did anything but have fun was going to be completely unprepared to deal with it. Quite obviously, Zale proved his point with as many times as he had said that he wasn't ready for things to change. He didn't bother to argue with him, he just continued rubbing his ears lightly and then sighed softly after he said that he would give Aamori a chance. He finally just offered him a weak smile and leaned over him until his forehead was resting on Zale's shoulder blades. "...You'll be alright..." he said quietly as he stroked his back. He felt Kyiri finally hop off of his shoulder and glanced at her as she landed in the sand beside Zale. He sat up when he heard someone on the porch and then glanced up to Aamori for a moment after she had gotten close enough to the edge to be seen. "...Hey," he said simply. "...How is Nanashi?" |
LaRae reached over and took hold of her pants once Hikari had handed them to her. She wasted little time leaning over and lifting her ankles so that she could slip her feet into the legs of her pants. She glanced slightly towards Hikari after overhearing Kanone. She hadn’t really been paying attention before when she came out of the room so she hadn’t even thought that Kanone had seen anything. Of course she knew better now. Her cheeks tinted a light pink due to embarrassment and she shook her head lightly before proceeding to pull her pants up while seated. Once she couldn’t get them any higher she stood up slowly and lifted them the rest of the way. The movement made her wrists hurt and the weight on her ankles bothered her a little but she tried to at least get the pants on properly without having to accept help. She lifted the shirt up a little and tucked the end of it under her chin so she could see better while she fumbled with the button. She struggled with it for a moment and then gave up and moved onto the zipper since that was easier. “…There…” She said quietly, mostly to herself as she released the end of the shirt. She was at least presentable now, though that barely mattered since most everyone who had been in the house had most likely already seen her without her pants on.
Zale just kind of laid where he was once Aamori had made herself visible. He guessed he was going to have to try and talk with her a little that is if she did intend to keep the blades. For all he knew she could have completely forgotten about them already and if not then perhaps she didn’t even want them. He continued to lay there for a few moments, at least until he’d heard Celestine ask about Nanashi. He stirred a little and then started to move off of Celestine and eventually work his way to his feet. He slipped out away from the house a little and stretched a bit before glancing back at the blades. He supposed they weren’t going anywhere, at least not anywhere that he didn’t know. He stood there momentarily before he just lowered his head to the sand while keeping his butt in the air and began rubbing his paws over his head. ’….Too much seriousness….’ He whined quietly. He was just about ready to look for someone to play with again just to relax a little. Aamori leaned her arms down on the railing and peered down at Celestine. She smiled weakly after he asked about Nanashi and then shook her head slightly. “Hikari said he’s got a concussion and it doesn’t help at all that he apparently tumbled out of the bed and hit his head again when that pillow caught fire.” She started. “His head’s bothering him and I think he’s feeling pretty sick. He tried to sit up and wound up right back where he started with his hand over his mouth…” She paused. “Other than that… I don’t really think anything has changed since we saw him last night. He’s still a bruised and battered mess…” She told him quietly. She shifted her glance slightly once she noticed Zale moving away from Celestine. She quirked a brow slightly once he had put his head to the sand and started rubbing his head with his paws. “…Is Zale alright?” She asked a little curiously. “…Actually… I’m surprised he isn’t running and bouncing all over the place…” She commented quietly. |
Hikari shook her head at Kanone and then sighed softly and looked back to LaRae again, watching her as she tried to get into her pants. She hoped that the motion of pulling up her pants didn't hurt her too badly. She kept her wing held out to her side to hide LaRae while she dressed her lower half and kept quiet, though she was still willing to help her if she needed it. She smiled slightly once she had say back down and then folded her wing against her back again. "...Do you want me to get the button for you?" she offered since she noticed that she had only closed the zipper. She had no gripes with getting the button though she didn't want to just do it without asking.
Celestine glanced down to Zale briefly when he felt him move his head and then watched him as he moved away before he looked back up to Aamori again and tilted his head slightly. He nodded a little in understanding when she mentioned the concussion and that he'd hit his head again. "...Sometimes a concussion can cause someone to heave if they don't find a comfortable position and stay in it until the swelling goes down a bit..." he said quietly. He sighed after hearing that he was still a bruised and beaten mess. He hadn't really expected that to have changed. He looked back for a moment when he heard Zale and then titled his head a little again as he got up and moved over to him. He looked back over to Aamori for a moment when she asked if he was alright and then nodded slightly. "...He's fine...," he said simply as he raised his foot and placed it on Zale's side before he pushed him over since he still had his rump in the hair. "He just wants to play..." He glanced back to her again and half smiled, "...By the way...you found something of his..." he said simply as he motioned to the blades with his head. |
LaRae shifted her glance over to Hikari for a moment after she had asked if she wanted her to get the button. She kind of hated the idea of having someone else doing something as simple as buttoning her pants, for her, but she guessed that was better than leaving them unbuttoned and running the possibility of the zipper constantly coming unzipped. She sighed quietly and reached for the end of her shirt, lifting it up slightly so that she could expose the button to Hikari. “…I’d appreciate it…” She mumbled quietly. She waited patiently for Hikari to get the button to her pants taken care of before she started to sit down again. “…Thank you.”
Zale startled slightly once he felt Celestine’s foot on his side as he pushed him over. He hadn’t even bothered to try and save himself from falling and just landed in the sand on his side. He laid there for a moment after hearing Celestine point out the blades to Aamori and then finally rolled onto his back and then over to his other side before he started to get back to his feet and shake out his fur. The likelihood of sand actually being caught in his fur was pretty slim considering the way his coat was but it was kind of a natural reaction. Celestine had been right when he told Aamori that he wanted to play, but he didn’t quite see that happening at the moment; at least not with this bunch. The blades had been pointed out to Aamori which meant more annoying, serious conversation wasn’t too far off. He could be serious when he needed to be but he certainly preferred that in small doses and not quite so close together. He shook his head lightly, already thinking that coming with Aamori and Celestine from the training building probably hadn’t been the best choice of actions. Aamori listened quietly while Celestine commented after the things she had said and then watched him as he went over to Zale and pushed him over. She shook her head lightly. “I don’t really know of a whole lot of people who’d want to play with him right now.” She responded. She didn’t think Celestine needed to considering he’d been sick. He didn’t really need to go overexerting himself just to keep up with Zale and keep him entertained. She didn’t particularly feel like running around with Zale at the moment and the only other person she thought might consider was currently being a door stop. She stared over at Celestine for a moment with a slight look of surprise when he had said that she had found something of his. She wasn’t even sure what he meant until she happened to look where he was motioning. “Oh! …I forgot about those…” She admitted quietly after seeing the blades. Those really had been a bit far from her mind with everything that had gone on the past couple days. Not to mention after nearly drowning she really hadn’t focused on the blades very much. She easily could’ve forgotten about them completely had she never been reminded. “…I can’t believe …I forgot.” She mumbled before standing up a little straighter and starting over towards the stairs so that she could get down onto the sand and closer to the blades. She sighed quietly once she reached them and crouched down in the sand and stared at them. She wasn’t really even focused on the fact that the blades belonged to Zale, or anything that she should’ve been thinking about. Rather she had started thinking about how these blades were the reason she could’ve died. She put aside all reason just to dig them out and continue looking for the relic and had Kanone not been out on the beach when he was, she probably wouldn’t be hovering over the blades right this moment. |
Hikari nodded her head slightly when LaRae pulled up her shirt and said that she would appreciate her getting the button for her before she moved closer to her and knelt down a little. She reached over to the button and closed it as quickly as she could before she pulled her hands back and straightened up while LaRae took a seat and then smiled slightly to her when she thanked her. "You're welcome," she said softly as she sat down in the chair that Celestine had been in earlier. "Well...Nanashi's been taken care of...I expect he will be alright later," she told her casually, since she thought she might like to know how he was doing now even if it hadn't crossed her mind to ask.
Celestine had been playing a little with Zale when he pushed him over, though he only watched him roll over and get up before shaking himself out. He sighed and then shrugged a little. He wasn't in too much of a playing mood though he would if Zale really wanted to, or if nothing else he could drag Kanone out here to play with him. He turned his attention back to Aamori again and tilted his head a little whens he said that she had forgotten about the blades. He shook his head a little and sighed softly as he moved closer to her again, coming to a stop behind her. "...I can," he said simply after she said that she couldn't believe that she forgot. He placed his hand on her shoulders gently and then leaned over her a little so that his mouth was close to her ear. "...We need to talk about these..." he said quietly, "These aren't just weapons, owning them is a lot of responsibility, and taking good care of them is very important. These blades are Zale's life line...if they are hurt it will hurt him...if they're broken..." he just trailed off, sure that it wasn't that hard for her to imagine what would happen if his 'life line' was broken. "...It is a lot of responsibility...if you decide to claim these as your own...it's one you will have to be fully willing to accept. Do you understand?" he asked quietly as he draped his arms around her neck loosely and leaned on her a little. "He is willing to give you a chance...if you're willing to take it." |
LaRae slid her chair closer to the table now that she was no longer needing to be on her feet. She glanced over to Hikari after she had sat down and then mentioned Nanashi. She had meant to ask about him since she had seen how rough he looked in the bedroom but after the pillow had caught fire that was the least of her worries, at least at that moment. She had a brief look of worry wash over her face before she glanced away from her. She was at least happy to hear that she expected Nanashi to be alright, later. She laid her hands to rest in her lap and stared at the tabletop with a partially blank expression for a few moments. “…What exactly happened to him?” She asked quietly. “…He wasn’t …like that yesterday, when I left him…” She mumbled quietly. She had meant to ask Nanashi himself but that chance had kind of slipped away for obvious reasons, she just hoped that Hikari could answer her question.
Zale continued to stand where he was for a few moments and watched Celestine as he started over towards Aamori once she had gotten close to the blades. He was about to head over himself; at least until he had heard what Celestine proceeded to say to her. He was a little relieved that Celestine had taken it upon himself to at least get the conversation started. Now if only all serious conversations could work this way, he might actually start disliking them less. He didn’t exactly want to rush over there now that Celestine had started on her; he kind of wanted to hear how Aamori replied before he went and dove into that. Depending on her answers he may not even have to worry about continuing the conversation further. He finally decided to just sit in the sand where he was. He hadn’t bothered with laying down, he just sat there and stared over at the two of them while keeping a good ear towards their conversation. Aamori glanced to Celestine briefly after she’d heard him say ‘I can’ in response to her saying that she couldn’t believe she had forgotten about the blades. She had turned her eyes back down to the blades at least until he had touched her shoulder and gotten close to her ear. She didn’t bother moving her head; she merely shifted her eyes to the side slightly trying to look at him. Of course she quirked a brow very slightly at his mention of them needing to talk about the blades. She wasn’t at all certain she remembered anything she may have been told about the blades before now. All she really knew for sure was that there was a pair of blades with a corresponding canine, like Zale. She continued to sit there quietly while he spoke, just staring down at the blades. She was a bit surprised after Celestine had trailed off. It didn’t take a whole lot for her to get the point, though she didn’t entirely understand how or why the blades and the canines were linked the way they were. It just didn’t make very much sense to her. She sat there for a moment after he had asked if she understood and wrapped his arms around her neck loosely. She couldn’t say she understood much of what he had said other than the blades were a big responsibility and that was mostly because he’d repeated that part along with mentioning the whole life-line part. She lifted her hands slowly and grasped lightly to his arms while they were loosely around her neck. “......I can’t say that I understand …everything…” She started quietly. “…But …I think I get …that it’s a big responsibility.” She mumbled. She did at least know a thing or two about responsibility; after all, being an Elder in training did come with some responsibilities. Though, they were nothing quite like what these blades. She kept her eyes pretty much glued to the blades for the time being even after he had said that Zale was willing to give her a chance, if she was willing to take it. “….How do you know that…?” She asked quietly, without really even thinking about it. |
Hikari lowered her ears slightly when she saw the worried expression on LaRae's face and then sighed softly when she looked away. She shook her head weakly when LaRae asked what had happened to him exactly and then crossed her arms over to table to prop them up. "...I don't know exactly what happened..." she said softly, "...but Kyran told me the gist of it. He was outside on the porch when Kyran came over and sounded worried that you hadn't come back yet. Before the day was out he decided to go looking for you himself...without asking any of us to come with him. He just happened to run into someone very unfriendly on the way to the training building... I suppose it was Hisako and Yoichi who got the man away from him..." She looked back to LaRae again and smiled weakly, "...It's thanks to him that you were found so quickly... He apparently threw a fit when he found out where you were... From the sound of it you could have spend the night in there had he not gotten Aamori to get Levana to let you out..." She sighed again quietly and then shook her head a little. "...Don't worry too much, dear...I'm sure he is happy knowing that he helped a little. I would be if it were me."
Celestine listened quietly to Aamori when she answered his questions. Well, he was at least glad that she understood that it was a big responsibility. "...I don't understand everything," he responded quietly, "only what I've been told... The canines were created for the soul purpose of guarding the blades. If the blades are destroyed, the corresponding canine is die instantly." He glanced over to Zale and tilted his head a little as if asking for confirmation on that. It was what he had come to understand from listening to Nobu and Esen. He looked back to her again when she asked how he knew that Zale would give her a chance and then sighed softly. "...Remember how I have spoken to you before...when you were the only one who could hear me?" he asked softly, "...That is the way they communicate with each other....and their master. No one knew that but me for a while...Kyran only found out recently... I heard Nobu at his house...he wasn't talking to me intentionally, I just picked up on it. ...It's easiest for them to communicate with whoever owner their blades...but I can still hear them, so...they've all talked to me some. ...I was talking to Zale about this when you came out...he said that he was willing to give you a chance." He glanced over to Zale for a moment and then back to Aamori, "...Just don't tell anyone that they can talk...they don't like for it to be well known... The only other ones who know are Kanone and Marius...as far as I know." |
LaRae was a little surprised at first to hear that Hikari didn’t know exactly what had happened. Hikari knew everything, or at least it seemed that she knew pretty much everything so she was honestly surprised by that statement. She was a bit relieved though when she continued to say that Kyran had told her the gist of it. She continued to just sit quietly where she was sitting with eyes practically pinned to the table while Hikari answered her question. She gave a rather heavy sigh after hearing the first part of the answer. She hadn’t been sure of what happened to him but judging by the way he looked she wasn’t really surprised to hear what she had. Though she had honestly hoped Nanashi would’ve gotten it through his head that he could ask someone to go with him, at least then maybe he wouldn’t have gotten hurt. She returned the glance to Hikari briefly before listening to her continue. She was very grateful that Nanashi had helped to get her out of there like he had. She wasn’t so sure she’d have kept much of her sanity had she been forced to stay in that cell throughout the night. After Hikari had finished and told her not to worry too much she sighed softly and looked back over at Hikari. “…I can’t really help worrying …he looks pretty rough right now…” She said quietly. She sat there silently for a moment before opening her mouth again. “…I mean …how would you feel if you were in my position and Kyran had been the one who’d been hurt again for the umpteenth time…?” She asked quietly.
Zale had continued to listen to the back and forth’s between Aamori and Celestine. He tilted his head slightly after Celestine had looked back at him. He nodded his head slightly. That was true, in a way though not very detailed. There was a lot more to the blades when it came to them being damaged or broken and in the case of them being broken, well, both blades would have to be completely broken before the canine would die. If only one was broken and the other was fine, then it’d kind of be like a slow and painful death until the other blade was broken as well. He finally started to stand up a little after Celestine had even continued on to tell Aamori about how the canines like him could talk. He was kind of happy that Celestine had gotten a few of the key parts explained already, honestly that was going to make his job a lot easier because all he’d really have to do was fill her in on a couple little things here and there. He waited until Celestine seemed to be done explaining about the communication and then started to slink over to where they were. He still kept back a little, but he was most likely still within at the very least Celestine’s reach if he released Aamori. Aamori merely tightened her grasp a little on Celestine’s arms after he had gone further to say that when the blades were broken the corresponding canine would die instantly. That of course she assumed was where the big responsibility came into play because the canine would die if one was careless and allowed their blades to be destroyed. She didn’t particularly like the sounds of that, she’d wind up being responsible for her own life along with Zale’s and she’d already shown that she wasn’t all that good at taking care of herself. She’d used poor judgment before and nearly killed herself in the ocean. Then again, at the same time there was Celestine and Kyran. They both had the same responsibility so it wasn’t quite like she’d be going at this alone. She continued to listen to him as he went on about the time that he had spoken to her and she was the only one who had heard him. “…How could I forget? You nearly fell out afterwards…” She responded quietly. She was again a bit surprised to hear that the canines communicated the same way and that was probably apparent by her short lived gasp. She’d never really heard of an animal talking before but somehow it didn’t surprise her that much considering these canines were already pretty strange, honestly, adding a voice wasn’t making any more strange than it already was. She finally nodded her head lightly after hearing him say not to tell anyone that the canines could talk. She wasn’t so sure that she’d be believed right away even if she did chose to try and tell someone. She stared back down at the blades again, mostly trying to decide if she really wanted to take a chance with them. She had found them so she guessed rightfully she could have them if she wanted, though the possibility of Zale dying should the blades ever be broken while in her possession was a little unsettling. |
Hikari's ears laid back a little when LaRae said that Nanashi looked rough. "...I know...he has a concussion and his nose is broken...there isn't a lot that I can do about either, at least right now... I will try to take care of his nose when I am able...if he will let me." She shook her head slightly when LaRae asked her how she would feel if it was Kyran. "...Kyran has already been hurt once trying to protect me..." she said quietly. She still felt horrible about what had happened when they were fighting Nerian. She still thought that she could have gotten away from the blast, so it really stung that Kyran had gotten hurt for what could have been no reason if she had just moved a little faster. She shook her head a little and then reached over to place her hand on LaRae's shoulder gently. "...This trip isn't going to be easy for any of us...but especially not for Nanashi... He has practically the whole world at his back on top of the dangers that we're all facing. I feel bad for him..." She sighed softly and reached over to wrap her arms around LaRae as carefully as she could. "...But I'm almost certain that he would gladly do anything for you, LaRae, and never feel bad about it....and I doubt that he would want you to feel bad about it either... Were it me, that is how I would feel... But then again...if it were Kyran I would still be upset..."
Celestine noticed the way that she tightened her grip on his arms when he told her what happened to the canines if their blades were destroyed. He couldn't blame her for being unnerved about that. He didn't even want to take his blades out of their sheath if he didn't have to. He was terrified of messing up and breaking one or hurting them in some way himself since he didn't want to be the cause for Esen being in pain. He sighed when she reminded him that he had passed out after talking to her like that for a while and then shook his head a little when she gasped after hearing that the canines communicated that way. "...It's hard for me to talk like that...especially when I have to do all of the work. Even talking to Nobu for long periods of time is draining just having to listen..." He could only imagine what would happen if Nobu, Esen, and Zale were all talking at once. Picking up on the different thoughts was difficult and was almost like changing channels each time someone else spoke so it could be tiring, and unfortunately if more than one of the canines was talking at once he could still hear both of them at once and that was really bad on his head. He sighed when she said that she didn't think anyone would believe her if she did say anything and then shook his head slightly, "Probably not..." He leaned his head over against hers again and then closed his eyes with a soft sigh before opening them again to glance over to Zale. He stared at him for a moment and then sighed again, "Are you going to tell her anything or would you rather just let me do all of the talking? I think you know more about this than I do..." |
LaRae sighed quietly after Hikari had said that Nanashi had a concussion and a broken nose. She hadn't gotten too great a look at him before but she had kind of thought his nose was broken given the bruising. She'd been a bit unaware of the concussion however. She really felt terrible that he'd been hurt like he had and while trying to help her no less. She nodded her head in response to Hikari saying that she would take care of his nose when she was able, and if he'd allow her to. She focused a little more clearly on Hikari after she had touched her shoulder and continued on about things not being easy for any of them, especially Nanashi. She sighed quietly and then glanced away. "...I know that..." She started. "...I just wished that his being with us ...would at least ease the danger that he encountered... from just... regular dragons..." She told her quietly. She sighed once more and nodded her head weakly after the last bit that Hikari had said. "...I can't help feeling bad that he's hurt ...and I'm upset that it even happened..." She uttered. "I just wish it hadn't happened at all."
Zale stared over at Celestine and tilted his head to the side slightly before he wagged his tail a little. 'But you're doing a fine job of explaining everything you already know.' He responded and then shifted his glance to Aamori. 'I don't think there is a whole lot left for me to really tell her at the moment. You already covered the basics and the fact that we can talk.' He paused. '...Besides ...there isn't a need to go further unless she is indeed willing to take care of the blades.' He said lastly and then started to inch over towards the stairs. When he had been responding just then he'd at least made sure that he spoke so that even Aamori would pick up on it. '...Aside from all of that ...I'm kind of hungry.' He mentioned as he started to put his front paws up onto the steps. He hadn't really eaten yet today other than little treats here and there so he was a bit hungry. Aamori nodded her head weakly after Celestine had said that it was hard for him to talk like he had, especially when he was doing all of the work. She kind of knew that, mostly because she'd been told before and she'd seen how he was after talking that way for an extended period of time. She wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to do about the blades. On one hand she didn't really want to touch them because she wasn't sure she wanted the responsibility that came along with them. Then on the other hand the blunt weapon she currently had could only do so much and that was already proven at least once before in another battle where she could have lost her life. So of course the idea of having a weapon with a sharp edge was kind of appealing and even more so if she could manage to use the blades properly. She shifted very slightly and looked over at Zale with a rather surprised look on her face when she heard him respond to Celestine's question. Even though she had been told that they could talk it was still a surprise just hearing him speak, not to mention the fact that he was capable of such cognitive thought. She stared over at Zale, honestly a little awestruck and then watched him as he headed towards the stairs. It was just really weird hearing that a canine of all things could talk to others the way that Celestine could. |
Hikari sighed softly when LaRae said that she just wished that being with them would help him. "...It would...if he would let us know before he wandered off on his own..." She sighed softly and then shook her head a little before she lowered her ears again at the last things that LaRae had said. "...I know, dear...so do I..." she said quietly. Hikari couldn't stand to see someone in pain, especially when she couldn't really do much about it. Nanashi just seemed to like to torment her always getting hurt in ways that she couldn't help or at times when she couldn't do anything. She really wanted to help him now, but she knew after healing LaRae's arm last night that she didn't need to tackle healing anything else so soon as much as she would like to. She just hoped that Nanashi would actually have time to fully recover this time before he got himself hurt again.
Celestine stared at Zale blankly for a mometn when he said that he was doing a good job of explaining the basics to her and that there wasn't much left for him to say. "...I'm sure there is plenty you could come up with..." he said flatly and then looked back to Aamori again for a moment, half wondering if she was hearing this too, though judging by her expression., he was pretty sure that she was. He looked back to Zale again when he noticed him at the stairs and then sighed heavily when he said that he was hungry. "...What a time to decide to eat...." he muttered under his breath." He shook his head a little and finally unwrapped his arms from Aamori before he started to stand himself up again. "...Unless you will eat fruit I can't help you..." He couldn't cook, and he wasn't entirely sure he could toss him a dead fish and watch him eat it. He didn't really like even touching anything dead in the first place. He just glanced over to Aamori and sighed softly. "...You want to feed him?" |
LaRae nodded her head after the first thing that Hikari had said. She was well aware that them being around did little good if Nanashi didn't try to accept their help and ask them to go with him. Of course this last time of him getting hurt would have been avoided had she not gone off and left by herself to get that coat of his. She glanced over at Hikari and sighed quietly. "I think I'm just as guilty as he is of wandering off alone..." She started quietly. "Kyran told us... that we shouldn't wander around alone... and something could probably have been done a lot sooner had I not left by myself..." She paused. "Then... Nanashi wouldn't be in the state he is right now." She mumbled quietly. She continued to sit there for a moment in silence and finally caved. She wound up lifting her hand to stifle a yawn. She was still tired but had been trying to stay awake for as long as she possibly could. She did want to go back to sleep but at the moment she had no real desire to go back to the room she had been in to sleep. At least not while the cause of that pillow randomly catching fire was still unknown. In her current mental state she just wasn't sure she could handle trying to sleep in a room with Nanashi since he was had to somehow be responsible for that fire. It hadn't been started by her and there wasn't anything else in that room that could start a fire... and technically, Nanashi shouldn't have been able to start a fire either but still, he was the only one who's clan even had that capability.
Zale stared over at Celestine for a moment and wagged his tail innocently after listening to him. 'Did Esen or Nobu tell you more than you told Aamori on the first day?' He asked half curiously. 'Why not let that information sink in first before bogging her down with everything else? After all, she may chose not to wield the blades and if that were the case any further information would've been a waste of time.' He added before starting to climb up the steps and onto the porch. 'I can eat fruit... though of course I'd prefer fish or some sort of raw meat...' He paused. 'If fruit is all there is... I don't exactly have the right to be picky.' He said lastly and wagged his tail while he waited on the porch. He didn't really care who fed him as long as he got something. He wasn't really even in the mood to go fishing himself even though he was fully capable of doing that. Aamori continued to sit there rather silently even after Celestine and Zale started talking to each other. She was still trying to wrap her head around everything that she had already been told so she was kind of thankful to hear that Zale hadn't intended to go further into it with her at the moment. Not to mention she was starting to think it'd look really, really strange having a serious conversation like that... with... a dog. She shook her head lightly and then dropped her hands once she felt that Celestine was moving his arms. She hadn't let go all that time and she honestly forgot that she was holding onto him like she was. She looked up at him momentarily after he had said that unless Zale ate fruit he couldn't help him. She focused on Celestine again once he'd asked if she wanted to feed him. She continued to sit there for a minute before she started to stand up and dust herself off a little. "...I guess I can..." She told him quietly before she started to move over to the stairs. She paused mid-step and turned back, reaching down to grab the strap holding the two blades together. She lifted them up and then started back towards the stairs. Now that she knew just how important they were she didn't entirely feel safe just leaving them outside in the sand like that, even if Celestine might stay there with them. The least she could do while she tired to make up her mind was set them inside where it was a little safer. After she stepped up onto the porch she glanced back to Celestine for a moment. "...Are you going anywhere?" She asked half curiously. If he wasn't going to be right out here after she fed Zale she would kind of like to know where she could find him. |
Hiakri listened quietly to LaRae as she spoke and then shook her head slightly before she reached over to place her hand on LaRae's arm lightly. "...LaRae..." she started and then sighed softly. She wasn't too sure what to tell her, mostly because LaRae had a point. "...Both of you need to be more careful..." she said softly, "...You shouldn't have gone out at all...not without your pass. We were all told to keep those on us at all times, the only person who could have gone with you that time would be Aamori..." She sighed again and then lowered her eyes, "...and Nanashi should have known better than to go out alone here....with or without his pass... His clan is second only to the dark clan with the number of enemies it has..." The dark clan was at war with pretty much every other clan, and the fire clan was at odds with the water, earth, wind, and dark clans, leaving only light and thunder as allies. With Nanashi's clan on top of being a dragon half it really wasn't safe for him to wander around in other territories, the only place he would really be relatively safe would be her territory or Kyran's, and even then considering that he was half human things probably wouldn't go over too well.
Celestine stared at Zale for a moment when he wagged his tail and then rolled his eyes slightly and sighed when he said that Aamori may now even take the blades so explaining further would be a waste of time. He actually made a face when Zale said that he'd prefer fish or raw meat and then just looked back to Aamori again since she had said that she could feed him. "...Be my guest..." He knew that Zale was an animal and he knew that he ate meat, but he'd rather not watch and it didn't make it any easier to think about. He watched as she picked up the blades and then went to the porch and he simply stood there for the time being. Once she'd turned back to ask him if he was going anywhere he just shook his head. "...Not really..." He didn't really feel like going back to the other house to coop himself up again, so he figured he would just stay around here. After a few seconds he moved over to the porch steps and started up them himself only to move over to lean against the railing once he was on the porch again. At best he would probably go as far as the porch swing to sit down, beyond that he was pretty content right where he was. |
LaRae started to glance over towards Hikari when she started to respond and then dropped her eyes almost immediately after hearing that she shouldn’t have gone out at all without her pass. She knew she shouldn’t have, but they weren’t exactly experiencing any trouble even with the passes on hand. They were barely being stopped after all, it was just a fluke that one time she went out alone they managed to snag her. She was also a bit embarrassed that Hikari knew she’d gone out without a pass. She hadn’t told anyone, not even Nanashi that she’d given him her pass so she was a little surprised, not much, but a little that Hikari had known. She sighed softly and almost timidly glanced back over at her. “…His pass was destroyed in the wash that one time…” She started. “…When I went to get his personal belongings from his clothes, I switched our passes… I thought if anyone got caught without one, between the two of us… things would be easier for me…” She admitted quietly. “…I can only imagine just how badly they would’ve treated him…” She paused. “…and unfortunately I’m sure they would’ve jumped at the idea of holding someone from the fire clan in a cell, even if he’s a dragon half…” She said quietly and then sighed again.
Aamori smiled weakly and nodded her head after Celestine had answered her question. “…Alright.” She paused. “I’ll be back…” She added before moving closer to the doors to open one and hold it for Zale. She waited patiently for him to slip inside and head towards the kitchen before she followed suit and shut the door behind her before continuing on towards the kitchen. She paused however after she’d gotten a couple feet into the house and stepped over to the right side of the hall to set the blades down. She laid them down on the floor near the door to the room Kanone was using and then straightened herself up and went to the kitchen. She glanced briefly towards Hikari and LaRae but didn’t bother to say a word as she slipped over to the fridge. She wasn’t sure what all had been stocked in the fridge but feeding Zale should be relatively easy, especially since he’d said he’d eat raw meat. Zale wasted very little time getting into the house after the door had been opened and he practically dashed towards the kitchen, obviously starting to get into a better word. He turned around after he made it to the kitchen and sat his rear down while he waited on Aamori. He couldn’t help wagging his tail a little impatiently, considering how hungry he was. He watched as she started to get to the fridge and open it up to look inside and finally stood upright. He slid over to the fridge himself and slipped between her and the door to make himself some room while he inspected the contents of the fridge. He wasted little to no time at all finding what he wanted. A rather large piece of fish that he assumed may be going bad anyway since it’d appeared to be in the fridge, rather than the freezer for awhile. He inched close enough to bite the fish right off the shelf and then backed up so fast that he bumped into Aamori’s leg and caused her to stumble back a little. After having stolen the fish from the fridge without even asking if it was alright he scrambled off towards the end of the hall where Kanone had been. He of course spotted Kanone and wagged his tail even more as he practically pounced onto the same chair with him while the fish was still in his mouth. |
Hikari watched LaRae quietly and then sighed softly and shook her head a little when she saw her looking away. She knew that LaRae already felt bad about this and she wasn't trying to reprimand her for what had happened, she was just stating what should have been obvious. She listened quietly when she heard LaRae give the reason behind her not having a pass and then nodded her head slightly. "...You're probably right..." she said softly when she said that it would be easier on her than Nanashi if one of them had to be without a pass. She knew that between the two of them, Nanashi would have gotten the worst treatment of them. She sighed quietly and then shook her head weakly before she offered her a weak smile. "...But LaRae...you could have borrowed my pass...or I would have gone for you if you had asked..." she said softly. She glanced up again when she heard the door open and watched as Aamori entered the room again and then glanced at her as she made her way over to the kitchen with Zale before she looked back to LaRae again, though her attention was snagged again when she noticed Zale make a break for Kanone and she couldn't help but laugh softly.
Celestine simply nodded to Aamori when she said that she would be back. He watched her go inside and then sighed softly and looked back out over the ocean for a few moments before he turned back around and walked back to the swing to sit down. He yawned quietly and then sighed softly before he closed his eyes and started to rock a little with his toes, though he could just barely reach the porch well enough to rock himself. Kanone was still just laying thee with his eyes closed, though he was pretty sure that someone had come back inside he hadn't really opened his eyes to see who. Judging by the fact that he heard feet he assumed it was Aamori since it was hard to hear Celestine moving. He heard feet thumping toward him after a few moments and was pounced right about the time that he opened his eyes, letting out a surprised yell as he threw out his arms. He was half afraid that he chair was going to turn over backwards for a second. After a moment eh gasped and then shook his head slightly. "Zale! Gah... ewww you smell like fish!" he said, sounding almost disgusted as he pushed at him head. "Come on...don't eat that on me, that's disgusting." |
LaRae sighed quietly after hearing Hikari say that she could’ve borrowed her pass, or that she could have gone in her place. She lifted her arms up a little and placed them on the table before leaning forward and resting her head against them. She kept her head turned towards Hikari since she still planned to respond. “…I didn’t think to ask for anyone else’s pass…” She started. “Since we haven’t really been being stopped, I thought it’d be fine.” She told her. “Then, I wasn’t going to bother you. You needed your rest and it was still kind of early before I left.” She paused. “Most everyone else was still asleep, I think…” She turned her head slightly and rubbed her head against her arm a little. “…I just didn’t think there’d be a problem.” She repeated. Honestly, they really hadn’t been being stopped… at least not when they were in a group. She guessed it must have been more suspicious for a single dragon from another clan to be wandering around than for two or more to be in the same group walking around. She just wasn’t sure, but for whatever reason… it was over now. Her ears twitched slightly when she heard the door open though she hadn’t bothered to lift her head to see who it was. She did however lift her head long enough to look over towards Kanone when she heard him respond to Zale joining him on the chair.
Aamori hadn’t really expected Zale to just help himself to the fridge but from now on she thought she might keep him away from the fridge when it was time to feed him. She let go of the door to the fridge when Zale backed up quickly and made her stumble back. She was extremely glad that Zale hadn’t caused her to fall on her tail when he did that. Given that she wasn’t quite used to being in heels she had kind of expected to fall. After she had regained her footing and straightened up she started away from the fridge to look in the direction that Zale had gone. She’d heard Kanone so she wasn’t that surprised to see Zale had joined him in the chair with the fish still hanging from his mouth. She couldn’t help but chuckle after seeing that. Zale continued to stay where he was and wag his tail after Kanone had told him that he smelled like fish. ’Of course I do!’ He responded happily. He still didn’t budge even after Kanone had pushed at his head and told him not to eat the fish on him. He didn’t really want to move, not yet. Since he had no intention of moving he probably felt like dead weight while he laid there. He did shift his head slightly for a brief moment so he wasn’t in Kanone’s face with the fish. ’It’ll only take me a minute.’ He responded and then tossed the fish in the air a short distance and then bit at it so that he had started eating it head first, or at least where the head would’ve been had it still been attached. It really did only take him a moment to scarf the fish down, bones and all. He had failed to get it all down at once and the tail end of the fish had escaped his mouth only to land on Kanone. As soon as he noticed he wagged his tail even more and lowered his mouth down to take the piece he’d dropped and eat that as well. Once he was done with the fish he most likely looked extremely happy and accomplished as he sat there and wagged his tail. ’There! All gone!’ He told him and then got closer to his face only long enough to sneak a quick slobbery lick to the side of his face. |
Hiakri shook her head slightly after getting in her laugh at Kanone's misfortune and then looked back to LaRae. She had listened to everything that she had said to her before, but she couldn't help getting a little side tracked at Kanone. She sighed softly and then reached over to place her hand on her shoulder before leaning over the table a little and laying her head down next to LaRae's. "LaRae...next time let someone come with you...alright?" she said quietly, "There's always a chance that something like this could happen...it's best not to take them. I don't mind being woken up for a good reason, and if you need someone to come with you that's a good enough reason for me." She smiled slightly at her and then gave her a little nuzzle before hes at up straight again.
Kanone glanced at Aamori briefly and then shifted uncomfortably under Zale's weight. "Gah...come on, you weigh a ton you overgrown seal!" he whined as he shifted positions and then gave up. "You're crushing my leeeegs..." He blinked when Zale said that it would only take him a minute to eat and then groaned, "I said no!" he insisted, though it was a little late by then as Zale had already tossed it up and started eating. He stared at him as he ate the fish and then looked down at his chest with a rather disgusted look when the fish tail landed on him. "....Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!" he explained as Zale was saying that he was all finished. "Wonderful! Get off!" Finally he just sat upright and practically pushed Zale out in the floor again before he pulled up his shirt to take a whiff. "Uhg...now I smell like fish... Thanks a lot..." |
LaRae shifted her head slightly and looked over at Hikari after she had touched her shoulder and brought her head closer. She listened to her and then nodded her head very weakly. "...I made a mistake in my judgment." She paused. "It shouldn't happen again." She said quietly. She still doubted she'd wake Hikari if that was an option and she needed to be resting. She'd sooner go look for someone else then bother her. Her ears perked slightly when she heard the ruckus coming from Kanone but refrained from lifting her head. She did move her head a little and pressed her mouth against her arm to block another yawn.
Aamori continue to stand where she was for a moment and just shook her head as she watched Zale start and finish eating the fish while pinning Kanone to the chair. She wasn't sure why Zale had to eat that while sitting on Kanone but for whatever reason it was rather comical. She couldn't help but chuckle after Kanone had pushed Zale off of him and gotten to sniff at his shirt. "...Zale." She started and laughed quietly. "That was really uncalled for. Not everyone wants to smell like your lunch." She said as she started to step over towards him and rub the top of his head from where he was sitting. Zale didn't bother fighting Kanone when he finally just pushed him off and onto the floor. He hit the floor with a thud and merely got right back up onto his feet and then sat down. He sat there and wagged his tail while he stared over at Kanone. 'You're welcome, now you smell good.' He responded rather cheerfully after he had said that he smelt like fish. He tilted his head slightly when he heard Aamori's comment about not everyone wanting to smell like his lunch and then shook his head slightly. 'But it smelt good...' He responded quietly almost in a while. |
