(Spoilers in white.) Planet Terror was pretty gory, kind of like Kill Bill but without everything being infuriatingly stylized. I can't really think of anything else. Parts of 30 Days of Night were pretty gross, like when that guy got his hand caught in those massive gears. That's about it.

I'm not really a horror movie sort of girl so the goriest movies I've seen ore mainly action or fantasy type movies such as Gladiator or Pans Labyrith.
Definitely the Saw series. Some of that stuff is just brutal.
I'm not sure anyone has ever heard of it before especially because it falls under the B category, but CRADLE OF FEAR was a fantastic example of what a black metal band from Norway can do with there own money. Cradle of filth is a black metal band that has been critically acclaimed the world over for there ability to incorporate operatic singing as well as over composed music. but any way. in the first minute of the movie, the main character rips a guys throat out and splits another guys head open. we're talking demon birth and spider babies and lots of blood all over the place. Only problem is that the cinematography is like soap opera quality so it looks like a t.v. movie until you see all the violent evil crap going on . Goriest movie ever. oh and the band only sings in English because they view it as the most evil sounding language out there, with the widest vocabulary.

House of wax is definately one of the worst movies I've ever seen...It's just sooooo unbelievably disgusting
It's hard to say what the goriest movie I've seen is, since we Americans are all desensitized or something silly.
Cringe-worthy: probably any of the Final Destination movies, those really made me stress out for them. Bloodiest: probably 300, easy Goriest: for seeing blood and guts, maybe Saw or Dawn of the Dead. |
The Hills Have Eyes II. I never saw the first one. Just the opening part was ick. The woman was laying there for nine months, never bathing, her toe nails all long and yellow...and she's in labor. They show the baby sliding out and everything and them bashing her head in. It was a terrible movie. Just gore for the sake of gory. I refuse to watch the first one after watching that thing. Just tubs of flesh and blood all over the place. Though the guy getting yanked into the outdoor bathroom was a bit funny, would of been funnier if you couldn't hear him screaming and his bones crunching and breaking out of his skin.
V_V ick...I like gore, but not like that. That's like porn. There because it can be. The Saw movies were gore filled, but they had a point to the gore. They were tests and had interesting ways of making the killing machines. 300...bloody, but not that gory. At least not in my opinion. It was bloody though. Those priest/pig things were pretty gross looking. House of 1000 Corpses was a bit gory. Like when they open up the shed and all the girls are in there or the car trunk with the naked girl with the carving in her side and leg. Or when Baby scalps that guy for getting the answers to her questions wrong. Lots of gory movies out there, but The Hills Have Eyes II is at the top of my list as Goriest, Senseless, Not Scary, and hopefully they don't make a third in what was a terrible twosome already. |
Every body keeps bringing up newer movies. I guess it's a sign that I'm getting old. But there are much better gorier movies out there. Caligula or the evil dead or better still dead alive. that last one is a particularly gore filled flick from New Zealand. by the end of the movie the main character has a lawn mower strapped to his chest and is running through a house filled with pustulant zombies. needless to say he kills all the zombies and the lower floor of the house is filled with two feet of blood and body parts... It's awesome. But I don't think anyone here has ever heard of it nor will they pursue this masterpiece. and i guess thats sad...

Most of the ones already mentioned I found pretty good (I love stuff like this for some weird reason). But two newer ones I just saw Grizzly Park and Carver were both pretty gory. Even a few parts in those two were I cringed and I almost never do. Carver especially had a few parts in it that were just.... wow. The saw series was gory I guess, but Carver beats it by a long shot, although the Saw movies were better made in my opinion. Carver is also based on a true story which may have added to the cringe factor.
My cringe factor scale 1-5 (5 being most cringe: Saw movies 3 House of wax 2 Carver 5 Grizzly park 3 Hills have Eyes (both) 3 30 Days of Night 2 Hostel 2 Final Destination movies 1 House of 1000 corpses 1 Dead Alive 3.5 I also love movies that are just "scary" without the gore factor to them. It is hard for a movie to scare me though, so if I jump even once I give it a decent rating lol |
kill bill was the gorriest i've ever seen!!!!!!!!!
Easily the most gory movie is RoboCop. The first half hour has someone being shot multiple times to the point of being a disfigured corpse....but then he becomes a robocop so it all works out in the end...I wish I was a Robocop.....without the dismemberment of course.....
Most gory movie? Ants. Just horrible. There's a scene where an ant is without a head even. Horrible, horrible movie.
Goriest would have to be In The Motuh of Madness or The Land of Rejects. The former gave me nightmares as a child, the latter as an adult.
I'm not really one for gory movies but one of my friends is a huge fan of the Saw and Final Destination series so I've watched those with him. I think the Saw movies are the mosr gory, they're pretty much about watching people being tortured. Hostel is a bit gory for that reason too. I don't mind gore in things like 300 or Kill Bill where you just see a lot of blood splashing around, I think slow torture scenes are much worse!
Cabin Fever is by far the Goriest.
300 is the bloodiest. |
Probably the Saw movies,Hills have eyes or Hostel Part 2. That movie was absolutely disgusting.
Saw and Hostel are the ones that kept the cover close to my eyes.. Another one that just tore up my nerves was The girl next door (2006) I cringed at this movie.. It gave me a terrible headache and the worst part is it actually happened and they toned it down for the movies.
