By the time Kalie's school day had ended, she was more weary than cheerful. Her head ached and spots danced behind her eyes, residual effects of so many people making holy signs and wards towards her. It wasn't made any better when she reached her tiny little apartment only to find Ci`aran lounging on the couch and Tl'Kao prodding around in her kitchen.
"'Go Home' does not mean 'Go To My Home'," she grumbled. "I cannot believe that you live here," Ci`aran said, frowning. "It is so empty and lifeless." "I can believe it," Tl'Kao countered. "No doubt her room has more life." "What, have you not already looked?" "Would I invade your privacy like that?" "Yes." She stared at him hard for a few minutes, then sighed. "If you hurt her, I will rip your esophogus out and shove it so far up your ass that you will be able to taste it," She stated rather dully and matter-of-factly, and then whisked off to her room. "Go home, you two, I am tired and am going to sleep." * * * * * Kalie looked up from the lab-table as her friend waltzed in, blinking slowly. The air around the Angel was brimming with something, and she looked like she could fly. Well... she could, but that was besides the point. Kalie laughed quietly, yawning and stretching her arms afterwards. "I'm doing well, and you?" She paused for a moment, and then, slyly, "So, have good dreams last night? Dreams about... oh, I dunno, a guy?" She glanced around, then sighed. "You like him, right? Don't bother denying it, I can see it in your face and how your energy levels are nearly overflowing around you. I won't tell anyone, but be careful... and don't let him know until you're absolutely sure he's feeling the same way." Then she waved her hand dismissively. "Anyways! We're going to be pulling fire from air today!" She grinned. "Which is just fine and dandy with me, fire from air is my specialty." She held her hands up and within a moment, flames were dancing in her hand. "Finally something that I can do, and do well." [<3 You should, you should!!! Muahaha. XD I noticed that. So did Kalie. e.e Sorry, she's not exactly the most subtle Demon around. Lucky lucky her, she's good at hiding her own crushes *coughsneezeALANhackcough* AND she doesn't get crushes on playboys, so it's not likely that anyone will ever find out for any reason.] |
Celepas blushed brightly at this, before laughing a slight sheepishly. "Uhm... maybe?" she asked, giving a light grin. Truth was, of course, Kalie had hit it right on... in all aspects!
At the warning she nodded. "I know... and I will. I promise," she told her friend. "It's just... I dunno. This is the first time I've ever had this problem!" She blushed brighter, until it was mentioned they would be working with fire. "Ooooh, owch. I might need you help with this one," she admitted. She knew fire was her weak point after all. She was a whiz with water, but not so much with fire. It was a mysterious element to her. About then, one might notice, another person came into the classroom. A very familiar person. He wore a look that could only be described as surly or sour, arms crossed, a backpack settled firmly on his back. As he entered, his long hair and muscular build sure caught its share of attention however. But it was clear he wasn't interested in THAT as he waved them off with a dismissive shrug. Of course this just made the girls swoon more. Without a word (since he really wasn't about to be told what to do anyways yet again) he took the last seat available. Which happened to be near Kalie and Celepas. "Not a word..." he grumbled with irritation. Celepas meanwhile, smiled brightly. "Hello again!" she said to Wraith. "Nice to see you again!" Wraith glanced over, and sighed, shaking his head. He couldn't think of a way to respond without sounding like a total smartass after all. Dammit this SUCKED. ((And so I did :3 And haha, she is quite good at hiding them! *Giggles* This means today will just have to be the shirtless Alan day :3 Haha, yanno, Im glad wraith's stickin around too cause hes one of my fave charries and oldest :D )) |
Kalie chuckled, letting the flame grow a little brighter. "Silly girl. Of course your first big crush would be on the biggest playboy in existence." She sighed, shaking her head. "Alright. First you need to feel the essence of fire. It would be easier if you were flame resistant... Oh well. Just put your hand as close to the flame as you can without being burned," she instructed, holding the flame out towards Celepas. "Just close your eyes and feel it for a few moments. And then, dig deep inside yourself for the fire that's hiding in you."
She laughed quietly at herself. "Sorry, that sounded tacky. But everyone has a bit of each element in themselves, though sometimes their main element can block it out. Just think of it like this. There is a hand inside of you that you can use to grab any element you want and bring it forward. Keep your eyes closed, and reach out for that flame. You'll know when you have it, it'll be warmer than anything else in your body... Except maybe your heart, please don't grab that." Turning her head slightly, she offered a smile to Wraith. "Welcome to High School. Um, you might not want to broadcast what you are if you don't want trouble. I can't begin to count how many times I've been warded since people here found out that I'm a Demon." She tilted her head, frowning. "Although I suppose it wouldn't hurt you even half as much as it hurts me... Hn. Odd thought." [Yay! Oh, god. Hehehe... Kalie's in for a wooooorld of trouble. She'll be all *stare* *q* XD He's certainly fun, that's for sure.] |
Celepas blushed again. "Well uhm..." she sighed. "I didn't MEAN for it to be that way," she tried to explain. As it was, she wasn't sure how she was going to explain this to Alan, or if she would even try. She was fairly certain he would not be okay with the idea!
"Yep, pretty sure I'm not flame resistant," she replied with a soft laugh, before turning her mind to the task at hand. "And that's alright, it didn't sound tacky," she added. She closed her eyes, bringing her hands out towards the flame. It felt really, really warm. It was unlike water in any sense of course. It was different in warmth, in feel... in essence. Like opposites really. Once she was certain she knew what to look for, she gave a light nod and started hunting in herself. Sure enough, she could feel a fire there as well. Her main element, which was water, had all but drowned it out really in its size, but the fire was tehre. It took some pulling and mental dancing sort to speak but it was there. "No worries about that," Wraith replied with a shrug. "That's the way it is everywhere I go," he added, giving a slight grin. "It depends on which ward is thrown," he added, and where they aim it." He glanced about at all of the fire, shaking his head. "Is school always this easy? I swear, I don't know why Mother and Father agreed to this. They said apparently I could learn a lot, but this is basic!" he added, giving a light shake of his hand to produce a small flame. "AH!" Celepas said, as she finally got a small flicker of flames to appear. "Thank you Kalie!" she said, opening her eyes. "Okay, well, basic to some of us," he amended, glancing towards Celepas's flame with a raised brow. ((Heeeee :3 Yes, well, Id be amused to see her reaction. Alan would be like dammit, not ANOTHER shirt! *laughs* His spare, believe it or not, is the nice one :P And haha, wraith here doesnt get it quite yet what hes supposed to learn. Im sure he will. His Father agreed, because, well, Im thinking hes plotting with Kalies mother :P Makes sense right? )) |
Kalie snorted. "Of course you didn't. No one ever does." She shook her head, then smiled. "Yes, it really does sound tacky, but thanks anyways." Then she turned her head to look at Wraith.
"Trust me, you wouldn't think it was easy had you come in yesterday, or the day before. Or even tomorrow, probably- we never work with the same element two days in a row, and I've got a pretty good idea of what's next." She frowned, and shook her head. "I'll be practicing all night." She then laughed suddenly, turning towards the window. "HA! I knew you couldn't stay away," she said teasingly, seemingly to herself. She didn't care though- she had been right, she could feel Tl'Kao out there and felt his energy smack lightly at hers as a reprimand. Pouting, she turned back to the other two. "Spoil sport." "Anyways," she said, as if nothing had just happened, "they always schedule students so that their best subjects are earliest in the day. As the day progresses, you'll see how hard it can be. My last hour of the day, Elven History, is my worst, though that's mostly because the teacher hates me. I swear, the 'plus' on the B+ paper she gave me was styled to look like a ward on purpose yesterday..." "Oh, good job, Celepas! You got that really fast. That's really good, Fire's the wildest Element and one of the hardest to work with if it isn't in your nature." [Sorry 'bout the shortness. Oh, yeah. Her reaction is gonna be sooooo obvious. Not even Celepas would be able to misinterpret it. XD Smart boy, that one. Ehehe, Wraith will learn... OH, will he learn. <3 Yeah, that makes sense. XD] |
"Wraith gave a shrug. "Hmmph, I'm sure whatever it is will be just as easy as this one," he replied, giving another flick to dispell the flames he had summoned. Then, just to be a smartass, resummoning it again. "It is one of the few benefits of being dual-natured." He just could not picture such a class being hard. Summoning the elements... childsplay! He hadn't been alive all of these years for nothing!
Celepas glanced towards the window when Kalie did, blinking. Of course, from her angle she couldn't see anything. But when Kalie played it off as though nothing had occurred, she decided it was probably best not to ask. Wraith gave a light smirk. "Oh I'm sure it's not THAT hard, my sister got through school didn't she?" he asked, shaking his head. "Besides, I'm certain my parents will change their mind in a few days. I can put up with whatever comes my way until then." Celepas meanwhile, beamed at the compliment. The fire was small and flickering wildly, but it was still there. "I'll make sure to practice this when I get home too," she added. "Maybe I can make a bigger one with time!" Wraith meanwhile, wasn't so sure what the big deal was. Shaking his head, he looked towards the window. "This place better at least have some good drinks in the cafeteria..." he muttered. This was the longest, after all, he had ever been topside. Normally he was up just for an our at most... ((No worries bout length! Haha, nosebleed time huh? And I'm sure Wraith will in a big way :3 He needs the lesson as you can see! *snickers*)) |
Kalie smirked, leaning back in her chair. "Stubborn, aren't you? I'll be sure to laugh long and loud when you fail tomorrow. You talk big, but can you live up to that talk?" She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You don't deserve to be half Demon. What community raised you? Surely no respectable one, or the proper knowledge of your place in the world would have been beaten into your thick skull. And your sister dealt with school her whole life. You? Not so much." Shaking her head, she pushed her hair back.
An unamused voice sounded then from just ahead of them. "While I admire your persistence in making the new student feel welcome, Ms. Jefford" Ms. Illia said dryly, "Please pay attention to the lesson at hand. Natural or not, practice cannot harm you. And you, Mr... Wraith, was it? I expect you to pay attention to your work in class, or I'll be forced to move you to 'Elemental Magicks X'." With that, the no-nonsense teacher left to go help a hobgoblin with summoning the fire. Kalie stared at Wraith for a few minutes, and then burst out into laughter, stifling it against the back of her hand. "Ahaha! Elemental Magicks X! That's where you go when you can't even grasp the simplest concepts of Elements!" She chuckled for a few more minutes, and leaned back in her chair. "She's my new hero," she informed Celepas, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh, and be careful to keep water nearby, and someone else to douse you with it in case you set yourself on fire while you're practicing. Trust me- it looks cool, but it's really really not that fun." [Ms. Illia is my hero, too. <3 She's actually modeled after a mix between my German Student Teacher and my Physical Science Teacher. No nonsense for the win. >3 Ehehe, nosebleed time indeed. Ohyes, he certainly will. If anything, Ms. Illia will brow-beat him into submission. xD] |
"Fail? As though one can fail a class like this?" Wraith asked, laughing lightly. His eyes narrowed a slight then, as he glared at Kalie. "Hmph, my community raised me just fine! Place in the world? I make my own place in this world, simple as that," he replied, shrugging again. I-" Celepas could be seen then pointing towards the teacher, as Wraith was about to go on. Blinking a moment, he glanced back to find the unamused expression of the teacher glaring down at him.
All words left him at the glare, and he flushed a slight, blinking. "Is she always like that?" Wraith asked, knowing demons who could not put off such a presence! That was when Kalie started to laugh, and explain why. Wraith's eyes went wide. "She... she would not REALLY do that would she?" he asked, feeling knocked down a few pegs despite himself. "Yep. In this classroom her word is law Wraith," Celepas replied. "She uhm, can... and has done it before." Wraith flushed a bit, shaking his head. "Just what have I gotten myself into?" he muttered, facepalming. "I'm starting to get the impression that this... world topside operates on a completely different level... and I just might be completely screwed..." He had always been of the opinion that will and might always led one on top. But that didn't seem to be quite the case here somehow... what a messed up place. No wonder Lashana was so screwy. He wondered if she should flee now before he lost his mind, but decided if he did he would never hear the end of it! Celepas nodded, giggling as well to Kalie. "I know right? Aaaaw, I don't think Wraith thinks so though! Wait... you can set yourself on fire? Boy, I'll keep that in mind! I think that might freak out my brother a bit..." ((Wow, you had a teacher like that! That... sounds pretty damn scary! And ooooh I bet. Wraith is already having his head spin :3 |
Kalie, finally calming down, pressed her hand against her side and coughed. "Haven't laughed so hard... in a long time," she gasped out, random bouts of chuckles still wracking her body. She coughed again, and snickered at Wraith. "Oh, yes, she can, and she will. One of the best students in this class got put into Elemental Magicks X for saying that Ms. Illia was 'a hard-ass'." She shook her head. "And no, she's only like that to students who she knows are going to cause trouble in the class."
She nodded sagely, which was ruined by the ear-to-ear grin on her face. "Bet you're wishing you had done some research, huh?" Her smile softened, almost into sympathy. "Above-ground creatures are prideful, because they do not live in constant peril. Demons- most Demons- are humble, because we know that surrounding us are creatures that could end our existences with little more than a tap. Those above-ground can be more menacing, in that way, because they have little fear." She turned back to Celepas, chuckling. "Of course he doesn't. Only her good students love her. Oh, yeah," she said, letting fires lick up her hands and partway up bare forearms. "See? I do it all the time. It doesn't hurt me, since I'm fire-resistant- my skin just blocks it off. But you see?" She let the fires die down, and stretched out one hairless arm. "It's got a price. My arms are really, really sensitive because the fire burns away all of the hair follicles." She grinned, eyes twinkling. "I remember the first time I set myself on fire- not counting when I was a baby, all Demon Newborns set themselves on fire every now and again- was when I was six. I didn't want to take a bath, and I got so angry that poof! I went up in flames. I lost all my hair and cried for days." [Yeah, I have a teacher like that. But she's awesome. She makes sure no one gets too loud, and most of us actually learn better for it. <3 XD Bet he didn't expect a human [for yes, Ms. Illia is human, le gasp!] to be so scary.] |
"It's NOT funny," Wraith replied, crossing his arms. Even Celepas was giggling, shaking her head. Of course, it was indeed rather funny. He blinked a moment. "So wait a sec! She's singled me out as a troublemaker already?!?" he asked. "That's hardly fair!"
"Well... you were showing off in class and saying it was stupid..." Celepas reminded. "Yes, well, it's true! Summoning fire's easy!" "So was water, for me. Like Kalie's trying to tell you, some elements are harder than others. Yesterday was an easy lesson for me, but a hard one for Kalie!" At Kalie's remark about research, he grumbled. "I didn't think I would be stuck up here as long as I have," he replied. "I thought maybe an hour at most. Apparently my folks have other ideas... had I known than yes. Research might have helped," he admitted, shaking his head. He listened to her explanation, arching a brow. "Are you telling me they're ALL like her?" he asked, glancing towards the teacher again. His eyes widened at the very thought. "Crap, I'm doomed..." Celepas blinked. "Not everyone is," she replied, giving her brightest smile. "Just wait and see! Kalie and I can help you out if you like you know?" she added then. "I can find my own way," he grumbled, quite in an off mood now. "But I'll consider it," he added a moment later. Apparently, perhaps, a lesson of a different sort from the teacher may perhaps have found its way into his head. "You know, there are people that would love that side effect," she replied with a giggle, thinking about all of the people she knew who actually did keep their arms hairless on purpose. "Wow, like, completely? Well, I guess you took your bath everytime after that huh?" Celepas asked, giggling. She supposed that would be one way to learn indeed! ((Haha, no he didnt! *Giggles* Well, every now and then a stern teacher are what folks need. *laughs* Oh, a certain charrie of yours would appreciate this commission someone finished for me today : http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v9...sbyaaby666.png )) |
Kalie nodded in agreement with Celepas as she argued with Wraith, only to pause. "Hey, hey, wait, what? It wasn't hard," she said, jokingly. "I just happen to have trouble working with water that has ever been blessed or contained holy attributes." She leaned back in her chair, blinking at Wraith. "Eh, so? I mean, don't know much about other Communities, but the one I grew up in forced us to learn about the above-ground." She didn't add that that was her fault- after she had been found with her dead sister, the adults had taken it in their hands to teach the children how dangerous life above-ground truly was.
She shook her head. "Not all of them, no. Most of them aren't, but you'll want to be even more careful around the friendly, all-accepting ones. They're the ones more likely to make your life harder if you don't do what they want. You don't even see it coming... Yeah, you can find your own way," she agreed, "But that doesn't mean you have to, or even that you'll want to, after a while. And don't consider it too long- if you deny help long enough, sooner or later the person offering it is going to stop offering." Turning to stare at Celepas, she felt her eyebrows rise, and laughed. "Really? I hate it." She nodded, grinning. "Yeah, completely. And yeah- I actually grew to like being bald for a while there, though. I didn't stop burning my hair off until I was eight or so. I was the strangest kid in the Community," she finished. [Gah. Craptastic response took foreeeever. I blame the 4 page research essay that I had been procrastinating on. ._. That, and Tl'Kao took over my brain for a while, and he kind of died when he saw the OMGSMEXAY picture. Who did it and where can I get one!? XDDD Yes, I would certainly say he appreciated it... *pokes him with a stick* Get up, you lazy oaf!] |
"Sorry," Celepas said towards Kalie, blushing. "I forgot, once the blessing was removed you did really well with it!" She grinned, still blushing bright. Ooops, she did really need to learn to be more specific with her words!
"My Community kept to itself," Wraith explained towards Kalie. "Noone really had any reason to come up here but uhm, yeah. Lashana was persistent as always," he added, exhaling a sigh. Wraith listened to her words, arching a brow as he did so. Something told him he just might want to stick around for a time. But of course, he'd never admit it. Celepas giggled again. "There are some people whoa ctually shave their arms on purpose," she replied. "Silly, but true! I never quite understood," she added, shaking her head. At Kalie's description, she laughed. "I can't say anything, kids in my place call me the weird one," she admitted, shaking her head. "Alan was always bailing me out of trouble! I would go exploring, get myself lost, but he would always find me. Of course Father would be upset, but Alan always made it right again..." she added, giving a light nod. Her brother was a good guy that way. "You two think YOU did crazy things as a kid! This one time, I nearly caused a flood in my own home! Thankfully my Dad was able to dry everything out but man, you should have seen it! Water was EVERYWHERE! I forget why I did it... guess I just wanted to see what would happen..." he admitted, giving a lightly sheepish grin. Troublemaker? Yep. Wraith had been, as his Dad had always described it, ornery. ((I happened to catch one of those temp shops on gaia open for once! :3 And no worries! *Giggles* I figured he'd appreciate it so I linked it here :3 Now if I could just finish coloring Alan x-x; Haha, my reply ain't as long as Id like either. *laughs* OH! How did your paper go?)) |
Kalie grinned, crossing her legs and idly letting her hand hover over the table, letting her little fiery horse-marionette come out to play as she listened to Celepas and Wraith talk. She laughed at Wraith's tale of flooding, and shook her head. "That's not horribly crazy," she said. "My... younger sister... When she was four months old, she managed to call up a dirt-storm in the middle of our house. She wasn't like most Demons- she had an affinity for wind rather than fire." She smiled softly, then glanced up at the clock.
"Oh! Almost time to go!" She stood, picking up her books. "See you at lunch, Celepas! And you're free to meet us in the Cafeteria, Wraith." [SUPER-SHORT-LATE-POST, GO! God, I'm SO sorry. I don't even have an excuse anymore- I just haven't really been online much until yesterday. >< It went alright. Hopefully I won't get any points off on it, but I won't know until after Spring Break.] |
((Hey, no sweat, just glad to see youre alright! :3 No biggie!))
"A dirt-storm?" Celepas asked, wondering what such a thing would look like in ones house! Wraith meanwhile laughed. When lunch was mentioned he shrugged. "Yeah yeah, sure," he replied. "See you then!" Celepas replied, cheerful as always. * * * * * For once, Alan was here early for lunch today. Man, his last class... that test had been a killer! He knew he should have gotten more sleep for once! So he really couldn't help it, as he stretches his arms and covered lightly an enormous yawn. Seeing the man stretch, however, brought more than the attention of a few ladies over to him. One could hear swooning perhaps. Alan, at first, took all of this in stride. That was until one girl shouted, "I want a piece of him to remember by always..." nd then another said, "He's mine! I've seen him first!" "Well I've been admiring him longer!" He knew what was about to come, since it had happened before, and glanced about for an exit. Too late, as the hoard of fangirls came towards him. Squealing, screaming, until he finally managed to wriggle his way free. Of course not without casualties. Yet again, he was missing a shirt, revealing the fact that yes, Alan did work out a bit and it showed. This only caused the fangirls to pass out. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "At least THAT'S taken care of..." he muttered. ((I couldn't resist a bit of evil to welcome ya back with :P)) |
Kalie grimaced at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, gritting her teeth as she tried to untangle her hair from the wad of gum that had somehow mysteriously found it's way there last period. "Stupid elementary-school bullying," she muttered, sighing and resorting to snapping the strands of hair that refused to let go of the gum. "How can anyone be so immature? This is high school, not grade school..." Tossing the hair-covered gum in the trash, she ran her fingers through her hair to make it lie flat once again and then headed out towards the cafeteria.
It was annoying, but she had to admit, if this was the worst it got, then making it through until Senior Graduation wouldn't be too hard. Slipping through the cafeteria doors, she blinked and frowned at the commotion that met her ears. It all seemed to be female voices, too. Curious, she squirmed through the crowd to get a better look, only to yelp as a girl fell backwards onto her in a dead faint. "Gah!" She hit the floor hard, and stared up at the ceiling, dazed, until something caught her eye. Something pale and silvery that looked like hair... Celepas? Turning her head, she froze, and then a blush stole across her face instantaneously as she was met with the sight of Alan. Shirtless. For a moment it didn't register, and she tried to work it out in her head. 'Let's see. Alan + Shirt = Gorgeous. Alan - Shirt = ... Hot Damn.' Shaking her head, she pushed the fainted girl off of her with a look of disgust, and stood, brushing herself off and staggering slightly. "Have a little decency, would you?" She shot at Alan playfully, though her voice was thick and she was resolutely facing away from him. Shit, was that blood? She pressed her sleeve to her nose and it came away wet, and she mentally kicked herself before pressing her sleeve back to her nose to stem the flow. [/i]'Shiiiit shit shit shit shit.'[/i] [You are a horrible, horrible person. In the best way ever. *glomp* Kalie can die happy now~ XDD She's still in denial, though.] |
((Bwahahaha :3 And dude, now THATS a reaction! :3 ))
"It isn't like I chose to walk around this way," he repled, shaking his head with an exasperated look. "I made the mistake of stretching and well, five seconds later the fangirls took my... Kalie! Are you alright?" he asked concerned, noting the blood. He was rather cute when he looked concerned actually. It was about this time that Celepas made her way into the lunchroom. She noted the fangirls, giggling to herself. She had seen all of this before, and made her way over to tease her brother only to find he wasn't alone. He was with one very blushing Kalie... who had a nosebleed. Kalie found Alan... oh my! Alan, meanwhile, noted the glare of the fangirls as he paid attention to Kalie. "Let us get somewhere where there isn;t so much ammunition," he told Kalie, offering to lead her outside. |
Her flush grew, and her shoulders hunched. "I'm fine, it's just a bloody nose. Your fangirl elbowed my nose when she fainted on top of me. It'll be fine," she lied. She pulled her sleeve away, gingerly touching her nose and finding it dry. Thank goodness it had been quick. Turning, she kept her eyes firmly on his face, unwilling to uncover her lie for what it was. She glanced around at the few still-standing girls that were focusing their glares on her, and laughed, slightly nervous.
"Ah, sure... Your fangirls are scary, you know?" She started slightly as she noticed Celepas, who had a knowing look on her face... Bad bad bad not good. "Let's go," she said quickly, turning and practically running out of the cafeteria. From among the throng of people emerged one long-haired man, narrow eyes focused on them. "Hn," he murmured, before stopping near Celepas. "I would ask you if you knew what your brother thinks he's doing with my sister, if you could understand what I'm saying," Tl'Kao said wryly, though the look on his face didn't match the tone of voice- dangerous. [Dun dun DUUUUUN. Tl'Kao makes a re-appearance, and Kalie has a cruuuu-uuuush. What happens now? Find out on the next episo- *shot ded* XD] |
((*Giggles* Teehee, boy, this kids sure fall for interesting people eh? Oh yeah, and poor Celepas. She so wants to understand Tl'Kao's speech as well but knows her father would have an unholy, or rather holy, fit if she tried > >; And Tl'Kao couldn't teach her since he doesn't know her language either! > >; That leaves two :3 I think Kalie and Celepas's crushes are both adorable though :3))
"Yes... I am well aware," he replied with a deep sigh, glancing over towards them. "Don't worry, I know what will pacify them," he added. "Oh I so dislike doing this but..." He looked towards the fangirls. "I shall see you ladies ladies," he told them, giving a light wink, and a wave that made most, if not all, pass out on the spot. He then followed Kalie, wanting to get out of there quickly as well! "You see why I wear t-shirts now?" he asked Kalie, laughing. "Although, sadly, all I have left now ifs my nice shirt in my locker..." he added, shaking his head. Celepas meanwhile, noted Tl'Kao walk up, and blushed a slight. Of course, seeing the look on his face as he looked towards her brother and Kalie... she was pretty sure she knew what he was thinking. "Oh it was nothing like that!" she said quickly. "Alan's fangirls attacked and it wasn't a pretty sight and..." She sighed deeply then. "Shame I can't understand a word you say. So... if I assumed wrong I'm sorry, I just wanted to clear that up. Its okay really..." At mentioning she couldn't understand him, she wore a regretful look. Wraith meanwhile, was just getting towards the lunchroom when he noticed a group of passed out girls. "Geez, what the Hell happened in here?" he asked, both brows raised. "On second thought, maybe I don't even want to know..." |
Kalie laughed, letting her hair fall from behind her ears to cover her flushed face. "I see. It's not their fault- any girl would be crazy over you." Whoops. She turned her tone to teasing. "Right, big bad angel-man?" She stuffed her hands into her pockets, slowing her walk and smiling. "Actually, I almost feel bad for them. I mean, you really should just come out and say that you're not interested. You could say you have someone you're interested in- I mean, most girls will respect that, and who would know you're lying?"
Tl'Kao chuckled. "You understood well, for someone who can't speak my language. Fangirls, eh? Horrible, those are..." He glanced at her. "I might actually like you. Terrifying, isn't it? Truly a shame that you can't understand me..." He tilted his head to the side, letting his hair slide over his face and heaving a sigh. This, of course, grabbed the attention of the girls that hadn't been knocked out by Alan's wink, and he suddenly found himself flooded by a small lake of girls. He grimaced as someone tore at his shirt, and a sick ripping sound filled the air, reverberating through the cafeteria. More followed after, and Tl'Kao grabbed at the first safe person he could find. That happened to be Celepas. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder, glaring at the sea of girls. "Back the hell off, I'm with her," he hissed, forgetting that they wouldn't know what he was saying. But the intent came across pretty clearly, because quite a few of the girls scuttled backwards. [Waaah, sorry I didn't have anything for Wraith! D: I feel so horrible now, like I need to bring in another OC for him. Poor Wraith is so neglected... *plots something* Teehee. There's always Ci'aran~ He could so teach her. And would. He likes to teach. XD And yeah. They are both adorable. Ehehehe, Tl'Kao's SO not above using false tactics to get girls away from him.] |
Alan blushed bright red at this, placing his hands behind his head. "Ahah... I can only dig myself a hole by answering that question," he replied with a grin. At the last he sighed. "Believe me, I've tried! They just don't take no for an answer. And if I said THAT, well, they might try to find out who it was and target them. They aren't above that..." he muttered, shaking his head.
He looked towards her then, as they walked. "But I really am sorry. I certainly didn't mean to get you dragged into that mess. Hmmm... say! While we're heading to my gym locker.... do you perhaps play any games? Like basketball, volleyball, that sort of thing?" He looked towards her with curiosity, a light smile upon him. If not, he thought, he could always teach her gladly of course. Again, Celepas wished she could understand him. Hmmmm... was there a way somehow she could learn his language? It would be nice to have an actual conversation with him, wouldn't it? As the fangirls reacted towards Tl'Kao even worse than Celepas herself ever could, Celepas knew she needed to help. She blinked, blushing quite brightly as Tl'Kao wrapped his arms around her. "You heard him!" she replied. "Already taken, so go on! Scoot! Say... you know there is the new kid..." she added, nodding towards Wraith. Wraith with the long gold hair, and of course... happened to be leaning against a wall that very moment. That was enough to get their attention it seemed, and next thing Wraith knew the chase was on! "ACK! Get away from me! Dammit that's my SHIRT! No don't go for those, I NEED those!" one could hear him yell in the distance. Celepas meanwhile looked towards Tl'Kao. "I know that wasn't too nice of me, but it was all I can think of. Those girls are quite... scary," she commented, sighing a bit. She wondered... should she mention to him she was thinking of learning their language? Or perhaps ask Kalie about it first? Perhaps... she could surprise Tl'Kao somehow later? ((Haha, plot away or he can lurk too :P Aaaaw :3 Haha, that would be cute :3 She'd just have to be sure not to tell her dad! > >; And I don;t blame Tl'Kao, fangirls are scareh! And we see Celepas has a unique solution for this situation, poor wraith! Though I know Tl'Kao will get a kick out of that :P)) |
Kalie laughed, shaking her head. "You'd only dig yourself a hole if you answered wrong~ What's wrong? Afraid of being on a girl's bad side?" she teased, walking ahead and turning around so that she could watch his face as she walked backwards, grinning unrepentantly. "Bet you've never had a girl be angry with you before, huh? You know, if you learned how to play on those looks, your life could be a lot easier~" She paused, then tilted her head, clasping her hands behind her back.
"Ara? But they wouldn't be able to find the person, unless you actually do like someone, right? Anyways, it's no big deal... Ci`aran and Tl'Kao get into that sort of trouble all the time." She thought about that for a moment, turning back around and falling into step next to Alan again. "Hmm... Games... Well, I can- no, that's not considered 'fun' up here... Hn..." She turned her head to look up at him. "No, I guess I don't. I actually don't really know much about what people play up here..." Tl'Kao perked slightly at Celepas' words, breathing a sigh of relief as the girls went chasing after another poor soul. He could only hope that his brother was safely ensconced in the library, where he had gotten sidetracked this morning when following Tl'Kao... He chuckled into her ear, murmuring. "Ah, once more you understood me, Princess... Perhaps you are naturally talented. It is difficult to let that claim go unanswered, but you are obviously not one of those types of girls..." His arms tightened briefly, and he buried his face in her hair, sighing. "At least I can speak this mushy drivel without anyone around to mock me." [Plotting. Lullllz. So, next post, Tyler is totally gonna save Wraith, yosh. =3 Hehe. Celepas is a Pyskik! :O And yes. Tl'Kao is amused somewhere in the back of his brainz. He's too busy feeling sorry for his lovey-dovey self to think about it tho.] |
"Only a slight," Alan admitted, giving a light grin. "But er no, I make it a point NOT to have girls mad at me. 'd rather not find out what their wrath is like firsthand!" he added, shaking his head. "Nope, I would like to keep my head in tact!"
When it was mentioned about getting by on his looks, the angel blushed brighter. "Eheheh... I'd rather work for it yanno? Sure. it would be easier. But yanno, the easy way isn't always the best way. I like a bit of a challenge in life!" And he was afraid of the fangirls, could not forget THAT part! Alan blinked at this. "You don;t?" he asked, a brow raised. "Hmmm... well, I might have to teach you a game or two sometime then. I' partial to basketball myself, ever seen that one played? I like one on one, that sort of thing. Though before you say it, no way am I NEVER going to be a jock!" he added, having heard that one quite a bit. That, and the jocks were always trying to "recruit" him into other sports! Celepas meanwhile wore a bright flush once again, taking in the moment with her eyes half closed. The angel really did look content, standing there like that. She just... she wished she knew exactly what his words were. She would... yes. Somehow, she would learn. She was good with languages after all. At least her brother wasn't around to see this though, she just wasn't sure how he would take it! "Hey Tl'Kao..." she said. "Thanks for sticking around. We make a pretty good team, fending off fangirls like that," she added, laughing lightly. She wanted to stay in this moment a little while longer. Meanwhile, outside, Wraith was dashing for the bleachers in an attempt to get the fangirls away from him! "Geez you guys are persistent!" he panted, looking back. "How does one fight these people?!?" ((Celepas has always been good at understanding people, or at least getting the gist :3 Yay plotting, and haha, yesh, save wraith. Save the bishy :3 And aaaaw, geez, that was too cute! Good thing Ci'aran is in the library, or I imagine poor Tl'Kao would get teased something awful!)) |
Kalie brushed her hair out of her face, rolling her eyes. "Our 'wrath' is terrifying. We hold grudges longer than an unhappy spirit, we plot behind our friends' backs as well as our enemies', we torture the people we don't like." She paused. "... Or so I've observed. I don't participate in such things. I'd much rather go up to someone I was angry with, hit them, and be done with it." She stretched her arms out behind her, considering this. "That would be nice. I've never seen it played myself, but from what I hear of it, it's rather like one of the games my brothers used to play. I doubt you play it with creatures that could gnaw your limbs off at any given moment, though... Anyways. I'd like to learn, it might be a nice change of pace." She hesitated, not wanting to seem stupid, but finally sighed and asked, "And... um... What's a 'jock'?"
Tl'Kao finally pulled back, holding his arms out and looking down at his ruined shirt, disgusted. There were quite a few rather large rips in it, showing the majority of his back and stomach, as well as snatches of his chest and arms. His expression changed instantly when she spoke though, to one of amusement. "I suppose we do." He reaches over and ruffled her hair, smiling. "You're really cute." "All a matter of opinion," Ci`aran said, glancing over the top of a book at them as one brow rose. "What happened to you? Mother will not be pleased that you ruined three months of sewing and spinning..." He had a pretty good idea, of course, but he wasn't about to admit it, as he leaned back against the wall, closing the book with one finger marking his place. Outside, a long, lean figure reclined on the bleachers, limbs draped over the steps, eyes closed. Dark eyeshadow surrounded his eyes, fading as it moved outwards until only the slightest shade of purple touched the bottoms of his eyebrows, matching the deep purple, almost black lipstick on his mouth. His black leather pants were tight, almost painfully so, and the equally black shirt he wore barely hung onto his shoulders, quite obviously at least two sizes too large for his frame. The top section of his pitch-black hair was brushed back, while the rest hung messily about his face. The gold heart dog-tag hanging from a black cord fastened around his neck finished the ensemble, aside from the stunningly detailed black and white rose tattoo peeking out from the edge of his shirt. With his tall, slim form, he was often mistaken by humans as an elf, though true elves quickly corrected that assumption- his shoulders were too broad for him to be an elf, his face not nearly slim enough. The half-japanese boy pulled one of his earphones away from his ear at the sound of girls screaming, sitting up slowly and opening dazzling green eyes. He caught sight of Wraith and stood, descending from the top of the bleachers like some ghost, causing at least half of the girls to stop dead in their tracks, gasping in shock. Fools. "There is no way to fight them," he said slowly, voice deep and soothing. "It's best if you scare them away." He gestured to the girls, sending a rather half-hearted, apathetic glare in their direction. They fled, and he held out his hand, revealing long, sharp-tipped black nails. "My name is Junichi- call me June. Are you injured?" [Meep! Sorry for the change-in-plans, Tyler was, erm, busy, so June-bug filled in. XD;; He's smart. He dresses strangely enough that it freaks out all the girls and makes them run away. Hehe, Ci`aran's not in the library anymore~! Sorry for the post length, June-bug requires, like, extravagant detail. A picture of June for reference~] |
Alan could not help but laugh at that. "Well at least people wouldn't have to wonder if you were mad at them! But uhm... remind me to keep on your good side," he joked lightly, giving an amused grin back.
"A jock is an athlete... a person who spends all of their time with sports and usually is failing his classes. They pose for the girls, that sort of thing. Definitely not my sort of thing at all." He blinked when she said she would like to learn, and nodded. "Well, alright then! We certainly have a bit of free time, I can at least teach you the basics of basketball. And I promise, I won't cheat," he added, nodding towards his wings. An obvious asset in such a game. "Come on then, Coach won't mind. We get along fairly well," he added, leading the way into the gym. Once there however, he noted the Coach wasn't around quite yet. "Wait here," he said, heading into the locker room. He came out in a jersey and sweatband a few moments later, a basketball spinning on a finger. So... perhaps he liked to show off occasionally. "All set?" he asked Kalie. Celepas, meanwhile blushed brightly back as her hair was ruffled, and really, she couldn't help but smile. It was times like this she always wondered if one day her wings would appear without her thinking upon it, and she'd go flying! Not that anyone here had even seen her wings, she only kept them visible and solid at home really. That was when Ci'aran approached, and Celepas's blush brightened again! he wondered idly how she would ask him what she wanted... if he even would for that matter! Still... she was determined to ask somehow. "Ah well it wasn't his fault! Celepas said quickly, shaking her head. "My brother riled he er... local girls up by accident and it sort of spread from there..." "Hello then June, I'm Wraith" Wraith replied, taking the hand and shaking it firmly. "No, I'm fine. I'm much too quick for THAT although my shirt can't say the same..." he added, shaking his head. "Scare em huh? Man, why didn't I think of that? I could have summoned some magic, or dressed in my leather and skulls... and BAM! I'll definitely keep that advice in mind" he added. "I take it you have had... experience with those girls?" he asked, shuddering a slight. He had seen a lot of scary things, but now fangirls were at the very top of his list! ((Ooooh, June's an amusing one :3 Its alright, haha, no worries at all :3 Aaaaaw, haha, they're all so dang cute :3 Phew, that took me awhile to type *laughs*)) |
