Tarja sings VERY well. you can clearly tell she's classically trained even if you didn't know before hand. I really enjoy her stuff but I'm not sure I'd consider myself a fan, the whole attitude she pulled that got her kicked out of Nightwish (which was an ongoing thing she kept at for years) makes me only respect her talent and skill, not her as a whole.

I think she's very talented, but her voice tends to get on my nerves. I do really like Nemo though...
Why did she get kicked out? I know that she left, but I wasn't aware that she got kicked out. O_o;; |

I liked her vocals in Century Child and Once albums. I miss her, as I can't find her solo album (which, by the way, what is it's title?) I made due with the new Nightwish album I found quite on accident (Dark Passion Play).
The new girl was quite a shock, as I was so used to Tarja. However, she's quite grown on me, and I like her style she brings. I like her for her work and skill just as well as I like Tarja. |

Out of curiosity, I decided to listen to her solo album... so I found a few songs on the internet. It's actually better than I was expecting, though it really seems to be missing something.

And, when she was with Nightwish, my favorite song was Wishmaster. I loved the Misheard Lyrics video for it that I found on YouTube. It's hilarious, but her voice makes it sound like the misheard lyrics. =D Not bashing her voice, she's an awesome singer. |

Not a problem! I didn't even know it was out until I saw it on the shelf!
I actually haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet. It's sitting in my car waiting for the weekdays so that I can listen on my way to work. Although so far my general impression is that her voice seems a bit lost with the softer instruments she's using as her background. |

Listened to it quite a lot recently XD I Love~ My Little Phoenix<3 Lost Northern Star I Walk Alone Die Alive Her POISON cover XD! Damned and Divine Boy and the Ghost (Though only really for that part that goes Wake up Wake up! There's an angel in the snow, the background ahhhahh is so pretty XD *-* 2:35) |
