Zeus has died and the gods in Olympus have split into 2 groups, each with a leader wanting to take over the role as upper god. But who is to be trusted and who isn't, that's the question.

Personality: He is very kind, which is why that is what he is god of, and he wishes to rule kindly, which is why many peace loving gods and goddesses joined him.

Personality: Somewhat arrogant and cocky, he isn't one to not pursue the ladies.

Personality: He is kind and gentle, like most on Esdras' side, although more happy yet soft spoken than the rest.

Other: He is the gentlest of the winds, the bringer of spring.

Personality: He is distant from the others on Erebus' side, because he doesn't really care. He is very moody, which comes from being a river god

Other: He is only on Erebus' side because Apollo is on Esdras side, and he despises Apollo.

Personality: Very content, she likes to keep to herself and hates when there are any conflicts within their side and tries to resolve them.

Gaia walked on the balcony, she liked watching the stars at night, but they did not shine so bright today. Zeus had just died and it seemed that the stars were mourning. Plus Erebus' might was darker than usual, the shadows seemed to be everywhere and she did not trust him a bit. she looked at the moonless night. "Looks like the nigth has even swallowed the moon" she whispered

Erebus swore under his breath. why does Esdras have to make things so hard for him. poisoning Zeus was hard enough, but then there formed another obsticle between him and his reign, and that obstivle was to be trampled. "Anastasia!" he called the goddess with anger, she was who he trusted most, but tonight he hated everyone.

"Yes, my Lord" Anastasia replied, bowong her head a slight. she always feared Erebus when he was in a mood as this, he could do anythihng, but she didn't blame him, that Esdras had some guts, it was a good thing she could not play with the dreams of Gods, if she could, he would be having some nice nightmares by now.

"Fetch me some wine!" he commanded. The alcohol tasted sweet, but only made his mood darker

Esdras sat on the ledge of a window, his knees pulled up to his chin, his arms wrapped around his legs. His short black hair blew around his eyes in the slight wind. He heard a pair of soft footsteps approaching and he turned his head to face them. "Zephyrus, Harmonia, is there something wrong?" he asked, the wet tears still showing on his face.

"My lord-"

"Zephyrus, what have I told you about calling me that?" Esdras interupted with a sigh.

"Sorry. Esdras, do you not see how we have angered Erebus?"

"We've already gone over this; if he rules Olympus, there is no telling what he will do. I have to-no, we have to try all that is in our powers to stop him."

"But then who will rule the mountain?" Harmonia's soft voice asked, genuinely concerned.

"I don't know Harmonia, I don't think I'm fit to rule, leave me for now, I need to think," he said, not a command, but they knew he wanted them to leave.

As they left, Harmonia shook her head. "Sometimes I wonder why he bothers, but he knows we will not abandon him, which makes him stronger," she said, her vioce becoming firm. Zephyrus nodded silently.

"Harmonie?" Selene called after her old friend."Your on Esdras' side aren't you" her voice was a bit disappointed. "I already wish Zeus was still here" she said with a sad smile "But I guess some things just can't be helped"

Anastasia hurried from the room, she had no desire to stay when Erebus was in a mood that could kill. She walked to the balcony in hope to find some nice sleeping humans, but only found Gaia standing here 'shoot' she thought 'she won't let me mess with her beloved mortals in a million years' she turned around

"I know your there Anastasia, I could feel a chill running through my spine and it just had to correspond with you" Gaia said bitterly, she disposed Anastasia

Anastasia spat on the ground "I have no time for followers of Esdras, you will only get trampled along side him, that is for sure" she gave Gaia a dirty look and t\continued walking toward the northern balcony.

Selene nodded and turned around only to find Gaia wondering around, she walked past her nt even giving her glance as she walked toward erebus' chamber. she knocked and let herself in. "Erebus" she didn't wait for an answer "I need some wine please"

Erebus was quite annoyed with someone marching in without asking, but once he saw Selene he smiled, his newest wining, she had fallen into his lies without much resistance. He pureed a cup of wine and handed it to her. "I see you have come to appreciate the sweet taste of wine, Selene"

Selene took the cup and walked toward the window, she glanced up to the nightsky, and her moon. she ignored Erebus and took big swallows of wine, normally she didn't like alcohol, she had found she was usually too temped, but today she didn't resist, she needed something to forget everything.

Gaia had left the balcony and knocked on Esdras' door, she could use some company tonight, just staring at the stars would accomplish nothing. "Esdras? how are you, and why may I ask, sis you oppose Erebus?" she was worried, what would happen ot them if Erebus would grab power with his both hands, there would be nothing left, and they would be disposed of,it was too dangerous, but it was also too late now, if Esdras would back off erebus still wouldn't think twiceof killing him. "It was foolish" she said softly

"I understand" Gaia sighed, she did, she just didn't like it to be him. "do you have a plan? Someway to win?" She really hoped he did, Erebus was very good in convincing people to join his side and she wasn't sure about that quality in Esdras. "Please say you do" she said softly, more like in a whisper

Anastasia was on the other balcony watching through a portal that showed the human world "Poor sweet humans, sleeping peacefully, not knowing what will become of them" she murmered as she summoned a flute, tonight it would be the melody of the black mare, she decided. She put the flute to her lips and began playing the treacherous melody. As she did the humans she chose for tonight began to stirr and their sleep became restless as their fears came alive

Esdras looked down as he shook his head, not willing to lokk her in the eyes to face the dissapointment he knew he would find therin. "I will not be on the offensive, at least until he is," he said with a nod, looking her in the eye, his own now steady.

Harmonia and Zephyrus walked along, the goddess' head filled with unspoken thoughts to her old friend, Zephyrus' with thoughts of happier times. Harmonia shook her head and sighed before she thought aloud, "If only Selene could see what was wrong with Erebus, if only she would tell me why she chose him and not Esdras."

Selene took the last sip of her wine, refraining herslef from having more, the sweet liqiud fell hard in her stomach, but ddin't help against the thoguhts that formed in her mind. 'Damnit Harmonia, why can't we just be on the smae side' she didn't even know why she had chosen the side of Erebus, it had just felt like the rigth side. she threw her cup to the other side of the room, as hard as she could, it landed on the ground woth a lot of noise, but Erebus seemed to ignore it. she marched out of the room, trying to clear out her mind, but it wasn't working too well. She found Anastasia on the balcony, toying with humans.

"what's wrong little goddess?" Anastasia pulled a mean smile on her lips, she liked causing Selene pain, she didn't know why, she was just one of those goddesses she dispised.

"shut up Anastasia" Selene threw her a look full of hatred, that said more than a thousands words

"Now, now, that is not a nice look, you should.." she didn't finnish the sentence since she saw murder in Selene's eyes as she closed the portal and walked away quickly

Gaia looked at Esdras, but saw him avoid her eyes, but when he looked in hers she stared back, then looked away, no plan, no way to win, nothing to be certain of. she didn't let him see the hurt in her eyes. "We will see how this turns out" she responded still talking softly, but a little louder than before. "I just jope it ends for the best, for us and for the mortals, they ahve nothing to do with this and still they are the ones who wouldn get the most unfortune, them and us" she added

He nodded saying, "They are mostly the reason I stood up. I know how much Erebus despises them, and how he will make their lives horrible, a never ending night sounds right up his alley. The gods...they could take care of themselves, their strong enough, but the mortal, another story entirely." He shook his head and moved towards the window, leaning against the ledge, his arms crossed, his head on his arms.

"Hey you two, why the gloomy faces?" a voice asked from behind, the footsteps getting closer.

Turning, Zephyrus spotted who it was; Apollo. "Hello Apollo, your mares put away for the night?" he asked, a smile on his face.

"Yes, they are fine. How is my lovely leading lady this fine evening?" he asked as he put his arm around Harmonia's waist, just for her to shove it away. "Not too well I take it," he said as she shook her head and stormed off.

"N-now Apollo, you know she hates it when you do that, and she already was in a bad mood!" Zephyrus stumbled; he was always self-concious around other male gods, especially powerful ones.

Gaia decided to leave him there, it wouldn't accomplish anything staying here and she didn't know what to do. she turned around silently and closed the door. While she walked through the hallway she saw Harmonia storming off. then she sqaw the cause. she sighed "Apollo, what did you do to her this time?" she asked a bit annoyed, he always knew how to embarress Harmonia. "Oh how are you Zephyrus?" she greeted him. She liekd him, he was always kind and not a handfull like Apollo

Selene looked at the moonless night, it wasn't supposed to be new moon tonight. She thoguht about it, it was a bit suspicios. She decided to demand an explanation of the only one that could make it happen, Erebus the god of the night. "Erebus, did you ban the Moon?!" she demanded furiously

Erebus looked up at Selene, "No I didn't you know I wouldn't do that" He said with a creepy smile. He ddin't lie though, he didn't do anything to ban the Moon from the nightsky. "Perhaps it has something to do with you" he said, than cursed himself, it probably had to do with him, he thought

Apollo and Zephyrus turned and both smiled, although their smiles were a bit different from eachother. Zephyrus' was a true smile, wheras Apollo's was a seductive smile. "Ah, the lovely Gaia, Mother to all, must you jab me so? I did nothing to the fair Harmonia," he said, sweeping Gaia up in his arms.

Harmonia had turned at the sound of Gaia's voice, and seeing her being held in Apollo's arms, turned many a shade of red. Storming quickly back, she shouted, "Apollo!" And as he turned to look at her, her hand met his face full force, causing his head to snap the other way. Shaking, with fury, she didn't even wait for his reaction; she quickly marched towards her favourite balcony on all of Olympus.

Shaking his head, Zephyrus looked at Apollo, and said, "That was simply too much," before following Harmonia. Apollo simply stood, unsure of what had just happened.

"you can let go of me now" Gaia said just before Harmonia slap him "That does the trick" she commented "You truly are a fool Apollo" she ran after Harmonia. "Are you alright?" she asked her softly. "That was a nice hit there" she said hoping to cheer her up a bit, or atleast calm her down

Iris saw Apollo with his cheek a bit red "Who slapped you this time Apollo?" she asked innocently, but her face carried a huge grin. "You do know toying with woman is suicidal do you not" she was making fun of him and she knew he hated it

Selene quickly left the room, why would her moon dissapear, she had to know, when she came to the balcony that was supposed to look out to the moon she saw it was already occupied, and Harmonia was there. she wanted to leave, but then chenged her mind. "The moon dissapeared" she stated

Zephyrus had put up a hand to stop Gaia from intruding, but she didn't see him.

"I'll be fine," she said, turning her face down so her long hair covered her face. "He-he's just so...so stupid, you know? ...did it really?" she asked, turning her face up to the sky, seeing black, although the wet on her cheeks was still visible.

"Harmonia...although I'm not sure why..." he said, his hand on his stinging cheek. "She had already left, and I had picked up Gaia, and then she came back and slapped me...if I weren't me, I'd say I was starting to not understand women," he said, finishing with a grin.

Iris looked at him criticaly "I think even Zephyrus know more of woman than you, if you keep on acting like that you migth even get castrated one day" she said matter-of-factly as she shrugged "You don't flaunt another woman before ones eyes, Harmonia obviously cares for you and yet you hold someone else right after, and she saw it and got angry, naturally" she leaned against the wall, arms crossed "and not all woman like to be held by you, so you should figure out who does and who doesn't, thats as simple as it gets"

Selene walked to the edge of the balcony, then swung herself over to sit on the thick marble, her hair swaying in the wind, she looked absentmindedly at the sky and didn't even mind the others being there, she had forgotten they were there really. she wanted to know what was going on, it was as if the moon was hiding form her, it's misstress, and she didn't like it at all

"Selene, what are you doing here" Gaina interrupted Selen's thoughts, her voice cold and even a bit accusing. She had always liked Selene, she was not dumb and always knew how to make a situation better, and she simply could not believe she had chosen Erebus' side, it was a bit of an insult. Gaia had also noticed the moon dissapearing and she thought she knew why, but she didn't want to mention it. 'let her suffer for her mistake a bit' she thought as she truned her attention to Harmonia again. "It was, it looked like it hurt him a lot" she said soothingly, she stroked her hair in a motherly way, happt to see her calming down

"Ah... I see," Harmonia said and then turned to Selene and asked, "Did it really dissapear?"

Apollo couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Harmonia? Feelings for me? If you count hatred as one of those feelings, then yes, you would be right. But her, like me? Insane, I think you have finally gone off the deep end. ...Wait, did you say Zephyrus knows more about women than I do?"

Iris laughed "you truely are ignorant Apollo, woman don't always show what they truely feel,and yes I believe that is so, don't underestimate Zephyrus and overestimate yourself, that could be considered deadly" she was one of the few woman that didn't either run away from Apollo or run to embrace him, though she liked to prove him wrong, since he had such a high opinion of himself, and she found him very amusing, and if there was something Iris liked, it would be amusement

Selene nodded, ignoring Gaia's coldness, she kept gazing up at the absence of her beautifull moon, her blakc hair dissapeared in the darkness of the night and her blue eyes had a sad glow about them. "It was supposed to be a Waxing moon, but it is nowhere to be seen" she answered slowly in a voice filled with bothsadness and annoyance, sadness from the effect of no moon and annoyance for not knowing what had caysed it, an odd combination of emotions, but it was what she felt

Putting a comforting hand on her friend's arm, knowing how she loved the moon. "You know ho would have done this," she murmered.

Apollo shook his head, "I still think that you are mistaken. On both counts, he can't even talk to Harmonia and you can tell he likes her. He just hangs back and watches her, it's actually kind of creepy. And I don't think that Zephyrus is deadly," he said, his cocky smile still hanging about his lips.

"What do you mean Gaia? How could Selene overshadow the moon?" Harmonia asked, turning to face the goddess.

"Yes, well, as you say, this is where he and I differ. But if Harmonia did like me as you say she does, she wouldn't get so mad when I try to hold her," he said, quite stubbornly.

Isis remained patient "Because she might be embaressed, might not want to care for you. And why elde would she slap you when you held another? i would do the same with the man I loved" she said simply. "Though I have not loved in a while so I do ot know what I would do" she added thinking that through, what would she do? She htought she would do the same and didn't give it anymore thought. "Now is the question Apollo, what are your feelings?" she asked playfully, he probably just loved all woman, but she wanted to be sure


"Well, something like an inner conflict, or a wrong decisiion" she emphasized the last part "Might cause her soul to be insecure or her heart to be oversadowed. And since the Moon is bound to her, it gets overshadowed as well" this was much sooner than she ahd anticipated, but Harmonia had left her no choice than to spill it out.

"So you mean that I made the wrong choice and because of that the moon dissapeared, how do i know you speak the truth?" Selene attacked Gaia. she didn't want to know that she had made the wrong choice of sides, deep within she already knew it, but she was too stubborn to admit

"Well...I can see where you get that from. And even if she did like me, she would only get hurt. I cannot jeapradise the females of the world's happiness for just one," he said, a cocky grin plastered on his face.

Harmonia decided to step back, out of the line of fire between the two goddesses, going to stand beside Zephyrus. Looking at him curiously, she asked, "How did you know that I'd come here?"

Taken aback, Zephyrus blushed and looked at her. "I've seen you come here many times, Harmonia. Afterall, my room is just across the hall..." he said quietly.
