Hey Eroy.
We (some of the owners of the last few active charities) have noticed the charityforum is dying and if we want to keep it alive, something must happen. So ithir (The Kitchen Charity), Whitebeast ('charityowner without charity', helps the charities much), Clair Voyant (You know, regular in almost every charity, has been co-owner of a few charities, was important during the last user-run event, helped my charity a lot) and me (At the End of the Rainbow) decided to have a discussion or conference between all owners of active charities, non-owners that are still very important to the forum and some staffmembers. We will probably create a thread in the CD about it. I want to let you know we would love to see you and Sizzla once the thread has been made. We must get together. Only if we're all united and all try to do something we can stop the slow starvation of the Charity forum. |

Kitkat: But that's exactly the problem. it's not that we have no regulars who keep our threads from dying.
it is the fact that there are only 20-30 active charities left. If you ignore the announcement forum, we are the forum with the least threads. And though we have active people here, they're always the same. We slowly start losing our regulars because they quit Mene, but there are no new people coming to the charity forum. We have an exchange forum with its Giving Back Auctions, and a questforum with its Quest Raffle. They keep all attention from us. If you want you are welcome at the conference. |

It's cuz many of the people want free stuff and don't want to give stuff away! And are attached to their gold... And are constantly stuck in the exchange thread, trying to earn more money/ get deals/ get Ei's and CI's. They ignore charities... I'd love helping! Though I'll need to get more gold in order to help at all... |
Hmm...well, it's true the auctions and raffle take up most of it.
Like kat said, most people just quest and don't wanna donate and stuff so the charity forum is left...in the dark? Ah well, I plan on becoming active in the charity forum somehow. ^^; |
Most of the charities can sustain themselves though. It's less an issue of the number, it's more the fact that literally no one comes, no one applies. We want to know why that questers aren't utilizing everything Mene's community offers.

Yeahh, that really is a good question to ask.
Like I said above, I'm gonna try to be more active in the charity forum than before. Since I've joined I've mostly just been trying to make friends and the ones I have made so far I don't see often in the charity forum except for kat. ;3 But I'm gonna try to make more now, and the charity forum is where I headed. ;D |
Ya.. we mostly get regulars entering our rounds. The weird thing is.. there's no way to lose in this game. So it surprises me more people don't come to play.
