Conejo started cleaning up, so eager to see Jet again. He nearly danced as he went about the house cleaning.
Once it was finished he looked out the window to see what time it was in the day. He would make something delicious for dinner! Carrot soup! Conejo went to Jet's closet to find something for himself to wear. He wondered if his clothes from before would be there in the alley waiting for him. That would be great! He found pants and a shirt he could wear for now, tying a rope around his waist to keep it in place. Once he was suitable to be seen in public he headed out to go to the alley first. ~~~ Kaze held onto Jade's hand as he pulled the horse with Jasper riding atop it. He headed down the hill towards his old home. He stopped at the door and gave a sigh as he knocked. A small child resembling Kaze opened the door. "Hello?" Hide smiled as he looked over the people in front of him. |
Jade felt his heart squeal. The little boy was so precious. Kneeling, he smiled and spoke to the child. "Hi, my name is Jade. I've come with your brother to say hi."
From the other rooms of the house, the sisters could hear a male voice. They perked up. Someone other than their Papi and brother was at the door... |
Five young women, Fera, Gas, Brisa, Aire, and Oxy rushed to the door and nearly shoved Hide out of the way just as he was about to respond to Jade with a smile. All but Brisa groaned at the sight of Kaze before their attention turned to Jade. They nearly shrieked from joy when they saw Jade. Aire looked over Jade and smiled. "HI THERE! I'm Aire!" Kaze was quick to move, he made sure to pull Jade out of Aire's way when she nearly threw herself at him to try and hug him. Brisa took this opportunity to pick up Hide and wrap an arm around Kaze to hug him. "Kaze, I missed you. Are you alright?" He nodded his head with a beaming smile. "I'm great Brisa. This is Jade, my finance. I brought him home to meet you all before we get married. Jade this is my twin sister, Brisa." |
The four other sisters still didn't give up. If he liked Kaze, perhaps they'd like him. They were better looking female versions of him, of course! Jade responded to their flirtatious body language with just a smile - just enough for them to keep thinking he was secretly in love with them.
"It's nice to meet you, Brisa," Jade greeted his fiance's twin. She looked at him hesitantly. To not appear too hostile, she nodded. Fiance...She disapproved of him. He wasn't good enough for her Kaze! Jade missed her displeasure with him when he continued to respond to the other sisters. |
Fera placed her hands on her hips as her attention turned back to Kaze. "What makes you think Mom and Dad want to see you or him?"
The man rolled his red eyes and sighed. "Just go get them will you?" Fera leaned back as she shouted for Enrique and Esperanza. "Kaze's home." Immediately from inside they heard a glass drop as Esperanza rushed from the kitchen towards the door. Kaze led Jade inside when she was in sight. "Mom, I brought my fiance home for you to meet." The woman looked at Jade and raised a brow when she realized it wasn't just a boyish girl. It was an actual boy. "Another dissapointment. I thought you had come to your senses. Instead you bring this gross boy home." |
Jade felt his stomach drop at the immediate rejection. He hadn't expected her to automatically approve of him. But he hadn't imagined her verbally slapping Kaze and him the moment she saw them. There was something awfully familiar about her tone and her attitude. They reminded him of what his mother exhibited when she spoke to her children. In his case, his mother disliked her children, because they made her feel old.
"I'm sorry you feel this way," he said softly. "I do hope there's a way we can work out our differences." |
Kaze reached out to nudge his hand against Jade's. "Don't appologize to her. She's never going to be happy."
Esperanza gasped some. "I didn't raise my son to talk to me that way." She nearly raised her hand to slap Kaze across the cheek, but the presence of her husband calmed her. Enrique smirked at Kaze and then Jade when he turned to him. "I hear you're the head royal guard. That's fantastic. Who's your friend?" Enrique was very proud of his son for leaving their humble beginings in order to make something out of himself. He was nearly the opposite of his very angry wife. |
Jade felt his free hand grasped.
"Kaze brought him to marry me," Aire declared. She rubbed her cheek against his hand, surprised by how soft he was. Kaze overreacted by shrieking and slapping her hand. Great, now Jade had to be washed. He calmed when he knew he would either get to watch or help. The sisters glanced at each other. Head of the Royal Guard or not, he was still the same person. |
Enrique pat Aire's head before moving passed the girls. "Come walk with me." Enrique moved his arm around Jade's waist as he led him away from everyone, even Kaze.
"You seem like a really sweet person. My wife tries to take advantage of that. Don't let what she says get to you." |
Jade could trust that Kaze would trail after. He barely left him alone since they had met. Smiling at Enrique, he nodded. "It's okay. She's a lot like my mother. I'm sure she's concerned about him and wants the best. Must be hard to accept me since we've just met."
|
Enrique laughed some at Jade's trusting nature. "She's never going to like you. She wants Kaze to marry a girl and be the perfect son she's dreamed of. Of course it's never going to happen. She hates the fact that he's so much like me. Taken all my bad habits." He sighed a moment and stopped to smile at Jade.
"I think you're sweet, and very cute. Kaze did good. I'm thrilled he's found someone to spend his life with." |
"I wish I could convince his mother how perfect he is," Jade said with an easy smile to Enrique. He felt comfortable with him like how he was with his son. What those bad habits could be were beyond him. The two were so likable.
"Thank you, sir." |
Kaze looked over at his father and Jade, he walked cautiously behind them. As he walked over he was followed by Hide who kept a safe distance away from him.
The sisters were distracted as their mother who was instructing them on why they do not talk to Kaze, and reminding them how dissapointing he is. Brisa listened to her talk with a sigh. She loved her brother no matter what their mother said and was more than excited that he was home. Even if he brought home a fiance, it was fine. He was home, that's what the important thing was. |
Kaze flinched when Jade gave his father a hug. That hug should have been his hug! Hide blinked, assuming perhaps the flinch was either thanks to a bug hitting his curious older brother...or...or perhaps he had sensed him following! The boy froze and watched before continuing to follow when his brother didn't swing around to catch him.
"I'll take good care of him," Jade assured. |
Enrique smiled at Jade and gave a nod. "It might be good for the two of you to head back to where you came from. I'm not sure how long my wife will hold back from lashing out. "
Kaze didn't wait for Jade to come back to him, he headed over to the pair. "I'm ready to go.." |
Jade nodded, sympathizing with how stressed out Kaze must have been at this reunion. It had definitely gotten better. In fact, he was more than certain he worsened the mother-son relationship with his appearance and declaration of their future marriage. He reached out and clasped Kaze's hand before getting distracted by Hide. Going over to the little boy, letting his hand slip out of the Royal Guard's grasp, he knelt before him again. Jade surprised the child with a gold coin from behind his ears. Hide giggled from the trick, touching his ears to wonder where they had come from. Jade placed the coins into his hands.
"You're so cute. I wish I could keep you," he said softly. |
Hide shifted his weight some as his eyes glanced down. "You could buy me chocolate?" He felt he would be more than happy to go if there was chocolate involved.
Kaze laid his hand on his hip and sighed. Jade was obviously a sucker for young children. He was disinterested in the situation until his eyes caught sight of a slight bruise near Hide's eye. That was an unusual place for a bruise. Red eyes moved from the boy to glance over at the open door where the rest of his family stood. "If you pick him up quickly, Jade. We can take him, but we'll have to go quickly. |
Jade blinked, his only hesitation. Kaze's body language and words conflicted in interests. But if Kaze was requesting it, he would do it. Immediately, he scooped up the boy into his arms.
|
Kaze looked back to make sure his parents and sister were distracted before he went to take the horse's reins and pll him along to meet up with Jade.
He made sure his horse was blocking the view of his family from seeing them walk away with Hide. Hide didn't mind being taken away by the nice boy and his brother. His attention was more interested on the horse trotting along behind them. He reaced his hand out to touch the horse. |
Hide touched the horse's nuzzle, getting his hand wet. The beast responded with a soft whinny. The boy looked at his palm before wiping it upon Jade's shirt when he grasped him again to lay his head against him. Jade smiled as he watched him, finding him still so adorable.
*** Morgan leaned against Fuego. Both the search for Aires and Jasper ended miserably. Neither could be found no matter who they asked and how persistent they were. By giving up, they assumed that somehow, someday, they would show up. |
Hielo grasped TK's hand for the 50th time that day. It had started before when he was trying to lead her somewhere as they looked around the villiage for the young boy. Now even when he wasn't guiding her anywhere, his hand somehow made it's way to clasp onto hers lightly.
"There's Fuego and Morgan. We should meet up with them and find somewhere to stay for the night." Fuego and Morgan spotted the pair first. Fuego smirked even though his entire body was so tired from searching all day. His brother was holding TK's hand, YET AGAIN. It seemed they were getting really close. He gave Morgan's side a nudge with his elbow as he leaned closer to whisper that he could tell his brother was growing fond of the young girl. Morgan smiled and mouthed a whispered, "How cute." Hielo reached up with his free hand to feel through his hair. "Let's rent a room for the night. We're not going to find anything in the dark." "A room? Or two rooms?" Fuego leaned down until he was eyelevel with TK. He reached out and tapped her nose. "One for me and Morgan, and one for you and your adorable girlfriend." |
"Fuego!" Hielo stuttered, very flustered at the thoughts that were most definitely going through his younger brother's head.
TK blinked and looked from the two brothers. It was interesting to see how red Hielo could get under that tan toned skin. She leaned toward Fuego some. "Do you have something to hide?" |
Fuego laughed at TK's cuteness. "Well, I was thinking I could take advantage of how beautiful Morgan is tonight." He stated as such loud enough for Morgan to hear.
"We were in the cell for a long time, I think we could both use a nice bath with the company of another man." Hielo tried to react in time to cover TK's ears so she wouldn't hear that last bit of information. "She's too sweet to hear your vulgarity." "If she doesn't hear it from me, then she's sure to be exposed to it when you get "Close" to her." |
Morgan laughed. "You're so cruel to your brother. Come on now. That room is calling." He rose from his seat, moved his hair from his shoulder, and beckoned him closer.
Fuego wasted no time to hurry to his side. "Okay, let's get our place." TK looked up at him. "I'm tired." Hielo's hands were still cupped over her ears. Part of him wondered if he should be a gentleman and get her her own room. |
Hielo led TK behind his brother and Morgan to the desk of the INN where Fuego asked for a room for himself and Morgan. Of course with no money on himself, Hielo ended up paying for that one too.
"Would you like your own room TK? I don't know if you would be comfortable sharing with me, but I don't know if I'd like to let you out of my sight." He couldn't mention the real reason behind that feeling. "Because of..bandits." |
