Nevermind, I like them too!
Okay am I the only person that thinks that gold should just be rounded up to the nearest whole number? I mean there isn't really a point to the fractions since all of the items in the stores are sold for whole numbers...
I mean it just seems a little dumb to me... |
The decimal gold is fun to me. :P It makes me think I have $1.1k instead of 1.1k gold. XP It's much more motivating for me.
|
...You're a weird little person XD Sorry Sorry I couldn't resist...
|
but i like the decimals....
especially when i get 3.14 gold or have 66.6 gold or etc X3 |

I want to see a Mene Millionaire. O: |
While that is amusing it still doesn't seem like much of a reason to keep them.... Especially since you can't buy anything that's sold for 100.50 or such...
|
I agree Jaded, I'm sure there is a reason for the way it is though.
|
To be honest I agree, although it is fun to treat the gold as real money in the sense of decimals, I think it should be rounded for simplicity's sake.
|
Haha.
They decimals amuse me, too. The only reason that I don't think that they should be done away with is the precedent that exists now. We earn .01 gold per character or something like that. Suddenly, starting to just round the total up or down would sort of change gold earning unnecessarily. I've seen people in the exchange set prices including the decimals. If I ever sell anything, I think that I'll tack on a .99... xD I'm interested to see what other people think about the decimals. If they are a source of confusion for many, then I suppose that a change should be considered. Though, I don't know anything about coding for something like this. |
Take away the decimal, and you'll cease to receive any gold from other people posting in your threads..
I, like many, like having it, I can't see any reason to remove them. |
Oh, good point.
I like getting gold from people posting in my quest thread. |
I like getting gold from people posting in my thread too. ^^;
|
The decimals make me feel a lot more... I guess you could say a ton closer to my questing goals than I really am xD I don't see why we should get rid of them o:
And we get gold for people posting in our threads? Since when? -so didn't notice Dx- |
@Suteki: It's a very tiny amount, which is why most people hardly notice. XD The way I understand it, for every reply you receive, you make .10g.
EDIT: Thanks for the correction Jelly. :3 (I wouldn't know since I rarely make my own threads. XD) |
I've actually only noticed that gold once.
I transferred all of my gold to my mule, logged out, and returned to find my gold count at 0.30. |
I like the decimals. It's like real money. It's fun.
|
It's .10 gold, not .01 http://i16.tinypic.com/5y06bt4.gif
It's not much, but it does add up, especially if you have a particularly active thread. you earn approximately 1.5 gold for every page in a thread of your own(depending on how many of the posts are your own) so if your thread reaches 100 pages that's 150 gold for free..not to be sniffed at. |
That .1g was how I could tell if somebody responded to my threads. xD
But I unno, I don't mind the decimals. They add character, or something. xD |
That's also how I can tell when there's been a response--which I rather like. I don't mind them... I don't have much of an opinion on them, honestly (except for getting-gold-from-posts-in-your-thread. Again, I like that. :D).
|
When I first joined I didn't like them much either.. But the decimals have grown on me. I definitely think they should stay. ;D |
When I went on my month-long vacation, I came home to find that (after transferring all my gold to my mule so I could use that account and buy Valentine's Event items while on vacation) my account had something like 15 gold from people posting in threads I'd created. XD;
So I would be unhappy about losing the decimals since that would mean no more "passive" gold earning. XD; I did find them confusing at first as a newbie, but I quickly adapted. Now I find them fun. XD Like finding change in the couch cushions! |
Okay Okay I've been sold (Especially since now I know we get golds frm people posting in our threads) I like decimals too!
But wouldn't they be more fun if the items were sold for decimal pionted prices? Like instead of paying 150 gold we pay 149.99! I mean since having our gold like this makes it seem like real money wouldn't it be interesting to have the items priced like they would be in actual stores? :D |

I like the way the gold system is.. I would like to earn more gold when I post, but none the less, the decimal system is kinda cool ^^
|
Hehehe! I would like to see stuff in the stores for $49.99 and stuff like that. It would be amusing
