.// A Spoonful Of Sugar \\. Do You Feel Sorry For Telemarketers?
WELCOME
We all love Menewsha, and I love Menewsha. We all love talking on Menewsha, and I love talking on Menewsha. But sometimes it's hard to find a conversation. So here's my dream. My dream, is to have a hangout thread where there is always a conversation going on. My dream is to have a nice welcoming atmosphere for people to come to when they just want to have a conversation. My dream is when I log on I won't have to search for 30 minutes trying to find an active thread I'm interested in. My dream is a spoonful of sugar. In short. This is my dream. A hangout thread. THE COMEBACK TOUR After a long hiatus , due to poor internet connection, no amount of spare time, and an overall impatience with the online world, Sir.Spoon and all of his fun-loving goodness, is back and ready for some action! Consider this a momentous occasion. You could be a helping hand in the epic story of Sir.Spoon's Comeback Tour. How can I be a helping hand? I knew you might say that. Well, it's easy! All you have to do is post! In here, in this very thread, so that I [the comeback tour guy] have a message or a conversation to be involved in or with. Sweet Spooney Goodness! |
RULES
These are the rules of this thread to make sure that things are kept in an orderly fashion to encourage conversation and maintain a friendly atmosphere. T.O.S is a must  No one word responses. We like to have some meaty posts in which provoke conversation  No internet drama. Take your beefs with someone to PMs or even better off the site. I don't want a thread full of verbal assaults. I don't care what you talk about as long as it's appropriate These rules are viable to be changed at my will. Break them and you will be warned - break them again and you will be asked to remove yourself from the thread. I don't believe in black listing people; it brings on unnecessary shame. |
The Daily Dose
This is a topic that you can discuss if you have nothing else to talk about. It's a safety net that will catch you if you can't relate to a topic or whatever. I just thought it would be a cool idea. Today's Daily Dose is: What Is Your Favorite CI? |
Quest
Yes! I have a quest, and what a better place to but it than in my hangout thread! So this is my quest... Which I have aptly called. 'Everything in Moderation' Currently Questing:. Ninja's Arsenal. I have the funds. I just need a seller! DONE! |

*ninjas in for first post.*
I think I prefer a good gel pen as my writing tool. Pencils you always have to go sharpen a lot and regular pens can skip. Calligraphy with a dip pen is fun, too. |
Gel pens are sometimes too hard to read though. Especially the glittery ones. I want to buy some though...they're good for note writing.
Pencils are a pain in the but, I can never seem to distinguish what I'm writing. And now matter how hard I try it will never ever be neat. It smudges too easily as well. Calligraphy sounds difficult. |
Yes, you have to choose a gel pen color that is dark enough to see. They do dry out, though, which is a shame.
In calligraphy you let the pen do the work while you keep your hand steady. I'm not that good at it, and am very out of practice. |
But you can't just write with a calligraphy pen can you? Don't you have to do a step by step process for each letter?
|
There are different styles of calligraphy alphabets. Some are harder than others. Mostly you just write like you are printing - like in chansery cursive, gothic, or most unicals. Some styles you go back and add a decorative line, dot, jut, or second half to a line's foot to finish the foot stand. In copperplate it is more like cursive handwriting because you are using a narrow pen width rather than a thick one.
|
Sounds way to complicated for me. I like good old print. I can't really write in cursive, it looks horrible. And no one can ever read it.
it's the same result when I write on my tablet. ...I'm starting to think that was a waste of money. |
My handwriting isn't all that neat either. That is why I have only tried the simpler styles of calligraphy much. Like I said, you are basically just printing with a wide tip pen held at an angle.
I'm not good at drawing. |
I can't draw to save my life. I just do random sketches of creepy people. Not really good at all.
I don't know how people manage to make such fantastic art on their computers. It seems all to difficult for me. |
I like extra fine point pens. I like handwriting to be as neat as possible. Also, these kinds of pens let me write as tiny as I wish xD
Pencils smudge too much for my taste and are only good because you can erase your mistakes. |
Erasing is always good. But sometimes it makes things so messy. I hate messy.
I love fine tip pens! The one paper mate make are the best. I bought a set just recently and I've used them so much most of the ink is gone. The only problem with pens is I tend to get the ink all over my hands...and sometimes my face. |
On your face, Spoon? Goodness! 0.0 That is getting ink everywhere.
|
"Yeah, I'm a really messy writer. It's not my fault though...it's the pens.
|
Well, my mom usually buys cheapo pencils and so the erasers don't really work all that well >.>;
My problem is that my mom won't buy the fine point pens, so I have to use my own money to get them :'P But right now, I have this really nice one that I found one day. It's made by Pilot and I've never had a better pen =D |
Never heard of pilot pens. I usually stick with good old Bic bens. Can't go wrong with them.
My favorite are the push-clickity pens. Where you have to push down a button in order to write. They're my favorite. |
I like pens that write in different colors. I had one at one time that you could pick from four different colors to click on. I have also seen one that lets you choose from ten different colors.
|
That's got to be one giant pen.
I like novelty ones. Like a charlie brown pen I saw one day...his head was on the end. Kind of creepy. Kind of cool. |
I think it is one of the smaller pen companies out there. I don't really care either way as to clicky or not unless it has to do with where I am putting it. I don't want to get ink all over my bag or anything, so I generally don't put clicky pens in my messenger bag or purse.
This one isn't a clicky pen. |
Good point about clicky pens.
Ever had one blow up in your pocket? My jeans have red pockets now because of a red ink pen decided to erupt in there. |
Yes. It was a rather fat pen to fit all those colors in.
I hate when a pen leaks. |
It's the worst. Pen leakage is just as bad as a flooded basement.
I don't like how you can't really erase pens. I make mistakes alot - and this causes problems. |
