So What's your BIGGEST fear?

So when I was a little girl I was scared of the figures in the dark,I imagined there were some kind of Demons or Freaks of nature in the Dark corner of my room.I could almost see them smiling at me.
It scared the hell out of me.Not only was I scared of the Demons but I was also scared that if I were to get out of the bed and tell my mother she would yell at me for being up at 2:00 a.m. and would just send me upstairs and tell me to go to sleep with a shoe in her hand.XD...DX

So Discus,What was your biggest fear when you were a child?

puzzle 03-20-2008 12:25 AM

:o Well I'm not sure if it could be described as my biggest fear in the whole world, but I'm scared of ghosts/evil things as well.
It usually only happens when I'm really tired so they are most likely hallucinations, but at sleepovers I would always see scary/dead people on the ceiling and I would be so scared that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep again. It really sucks.

St Branny 03-20-2008 12:27 AM

My biggest fear was to slip away into the dark hole underbed..

My biggest fear is death. Anytime death comes around I cry and shiver and try to think of other things. Doesn't work.

Maria-Minamino 03-20-2008 12:38 AM

My biggest fear is losing the people that I love. Even when I was little. In all honesty - I'm so afraid of losing family and friends and my love. Like - something bad will happen. When ever they do anything or drive somewhere or whatnot - I never fail to say "Be safe - I love you" My family and friends and boyfriend just kind of expect it now because I can't help it. I just...I want them to be safe - and if something DOES happen - they know I love them.
oh and spiders...nasty spiders D: I still can't handle them and I'm 18 now.

St Branny 03-20-2008 12:40 AM

DOES NO ONE FEAR THE SHARKS!!

THEIR SHARKS! IN BALLPITS!!! SHARKS!!

Adalwolf 03-20-2008 12:44 AM

I think my biggest fear would be not knowing. Like falling asleep in a new place and not knowing what'll happen when you wake up. Or getting in a car with some first time driver. I'd rather drive myself thanks.

HuggieBear 03-20-2008 12:45 AM

When I was little, I was afraid of that too. Little figures in the closet or something. I swear I always saw something, so then I'd have my brother or someone go check under the bed and all that stuff. XD I always need to have a night light on in my room, even til' today. No, I'm not scared of those figures anymore, but I still don't like the dark. ^^

Another one of my fears is heights. I had to go to this course required for school, and we had to go really high up into the air. Also, my parents liked going to the mountains and stuff, which always scared me. >.<

My MAIN fear is spiders. They scare me SO badly and I have no clue why.

I guess sharks are scary too? XD

St Branny 03-20-2008 12:46 AM

THATS RIGHT! BALLPIT SHARKS!! THEY WANT YOUR FRIES!!

Sinspiration 03-20-2008 12:49 AM

Starshine 03-20-2008 01:05 AM

I fear germs XD the invisible army of germs that are everywhere and on everything you touch (thanks a lot mom). Thankfully I got over it, I have no time to be obsessive compulsive

Archbow 03-20-2008 01:09 AM

Ya know, the only thing I really fear is if my girlfriend ever cheated on me. I know it sounds bad but even though we've been going for a year and a half and I know she's my soul mate, my past track record and the environment around me has always had the word "cheating" it bright neon red lights.

I don't she would ever do it, I pretty much know she wouldn't, but you know that little voice in your head can sometimes ramble on. That annoying little bastard gets me in trouble way too much! Dx

BahiraMalika 03-20-2008 01:09 AM

I had a fear of the dark, heights, and spiders (and I'm still kinda afraid of spiders).
I had my bed next to the door, and whenever I went to bed, if I had to get something, I'd jump out of bed outside my door and turn on the light, because I was afraid that if I stepped on my floor while the lights were out, something under my bed would get me.

WillowKitsune 03-20-2008 01:10 AM

I guess my biggest fear would be of.. pain?
Or falling. Not of heights, I'm actually not afraid of heights, but I'm afraid of the feeling of falling.
I'm scared of the dark, but that's my own fault. My imagination is too active. I imagine some weird things.. |D

I'm also scared of being completely alone with absolutely no one, no family or friends.

Nightshade1988 03-20-2008 02:27 AM

I'm afraid of deep water and suffocation.

tatorXpattie 03-20-2008 03:24 AM

I also use to imagine things in the dark. I would always beg my daddy to walk me to my room so those things hidding in the closet and under my bed would not grab me and take me away lol. When I would get up in the middle of the night to go to the resteroom I would jump as far from the bed and closet as I could with out crashing into the wall or door lol. When I would get back I would get a running start and jump onto my bed...though most of the time I didnt make it so far and instead I was on the floor crying for my daddy.
Mirrors were also a really big fear for me when I was a child and still is. Whenever I watched or watch a scary movie I always am scared of looking into the mirror because when I do I always see something or someone in the background getting closer and closer. You can say I have a verry active immagination. lol.
My last fear and most scary to me as a child was chucky, the little doll with orange hair that ways on childs play or whatever those movies were called. I was so scared of him when I was a child that after I had watched the first movie for the first time (this was when I was five years old and this was in a resturant bathroom...I looked in the mirror, told you I get freaked out over mirrors after scarry movies lol) Anyways I saw chucky in a mirror and I started screaming bloody murder lol.
wow...i never new I was that much of a scardy cat lol.

Purple puma 03-20-2008 04:16 AM

My biggest fear is having a bomb bl0ow up the earth,
I really really really HATE loud noises,
Whenever I hear a plane go over my house,
I think it's going to crash on me....xF

Lapin Blanche 03-20-2008 04:19 AM

I'm afraid of spiders and those little goblin things that come from cute little furby things. You know, the ones that when they eat after midnight they turn into those freaky things.

My dad always used to laugh at me so much, I couldn't handle them. All slimy and ugly and evil. Blegh, just thinking about them makes me shiver.

Han'iurami 03-20-2008 04:28 AM

My biggest fear was going to sleep because I thought the bogeyman would come and kidnap me.I also thought that if I feel asleep,a demon or yet again the bogeyman would steal my soul and eat it o.O

wispytearz 03-20-2008 04:44 AM

I had something similar to yours actually, in that I couldn't sleep at night and would "see things" in the dark. It was never really decided if I was just a child with an over-active imagination or if they were actual hallucinations (I do have PTSD now which can get bad enough to cause hallucinations, but it shouldn't have effected me as young as that) however, I would spend hours staring, sometimes in fear, sometimes trying to figure out what exactly it was or how I could convince myself it wasn't real instead of sleeping.

Dystopia 03-20-2008 05:01 AM

I have a lot of little fears, but I'm not sure what my biggest fear would be.

I've been afraid of the dark since I was young. I had this really odd dream and I've been terrified since. Its kinda odd, since the dream had nothing to do with the dark. It actually came from a story my mother read to me. I can barely remember it, but I don't know how my twisted mind threw it around enough to make something so grotesque in my sleep. ._.

celestial_maiden1112 03-20-2008 05:09 AM

Now that I think about it I am scared Of a lot of things. But I would have to say that my biggest fear is losing the People I care for. Like My family and my love. I am also scared of Spiders I really hate spiders there so creepy. I really don't like bugs Anything that crawls or was wings I don't like. Flies and Bees are ok I am not that afraid of then. I also do not Like fish I am scared of fish I don't really know why I had fish and I use to touch them and stuff but know I am just so scared of them.

Sevi 03-20-2008 05:36 AM

I feared the dark mysterious hole bellow my bed... XD
I really did!! and Clowns... I saw IT when I was like 6-7 and became really scared of them... I also feared the window at night @[email protected] you know those forms in the dark.. trees that look like.. @@....
and... finally my closet.. that little space that was open in the night

Amo_Angelus 03-20-2008 05:45 AM

Well my family would tell you instantly that my biggest fear would be spiders...and they'd be wrong. While I do have arachnaphobia, its not my biggest fear. Although I'm sure everybody who hears how I got arachnaphobia could understand completly if it was my biggest fear.

My biggest fear is actually tunnels. And this one is completly irrational. It's not true claustraphobia, because I'm not scared of say...being in my wardrobe. It's specific to tunnels. But not just any tunnel. If I can see the exit when I go into it I'm fine. If I can't then I will totally freak out. We went to Wales and one of the roads cuts under the mountain edge for like 2 minutes. And everytime we went under it I'd totally freak out.
My sister described it to me. I start to sob hysterically and clutch onto anything within reach, my sisters hand and the car door handle usually, and sink my nails into it, stop breathing and turn really white. I can't ever remember how I react under tunnels. I white out. Still awake, but not concious of anything but this prevailing sense of fear and dread.

The strange thing is...there's absolutly no reason at all for me to have such a fear of tunnels! Nothing bad has ever happened to me in a tunnel.
