I had this bright idea to go grocery shopping today, after a little lunch. Boy, that was dumb. Everybody else in the area had the same idea. I left after grabbing some shampoo and a couple apples. The frozen food isle was packed with people and stripped of all the items I was wanting. I'll have to go back late at night when no one is there..... XP

i remember during summer vacation when my mom forces me to go to safeway with her >.>; and then there's like so many kids because everybody else's parents are forcing them to go xD |

Hm, I remember going to Safeway with my mom... that was ages ago though. There aren't any more Safeways in Kansas now, all closed. Tried to get a loan for a new car today. That was.... enlightening. I'll find out tomorrow if 'fair' credit is good enough for the bank. The guy I filled out the app with seemed to think so. Of course, they get to keep the car's worth as collateral if I bail. |

My mom got busted for stealing canned catfood at a Safeway once. That was a LONG time ago. I was walking beside the cart with her, when someone official came up and asked her to come with them for a moment. I got to wait by the cart for a while and she came out all whitefaced. I can't imagine what she was thinking, stealing catfood in the first place. It's such a weird thing to steal. She'd just slipped a can or so into her big purse while she thought no one was looking.

I can imagine stealing something that you can't afford or something thjat you are too embarrassed to show the clerks - a pregnancy test, condoms, a dirty mag, ointment for a nasty rash... But cat food? Thats got to be unique. I bet the store security never saw that before... |
