yup ^^ she really is. hence why she got a special mention in my quest thread.

I really should get going though, off to see a movie at the drive in ^^.

Vivian 06-07-2009 12:37 AM

Ooohh, drive in!
Never been to one, you should tell me how it is. x3

See you!!

Alexis Durem 06-07-2009 12:38 AM

I'm lucky enough to have one right down the road. It's awesome ^^

If you every travel someplace with one nearby, i would definitely recommend it.

Vivian 06-07-2009 12:44 AM

That would be great!
I'll definitely do that someday. :3
What kinds of things are there? Like can you get food or anything like that?

And if you're already leaving, just tell me when you're back. x3

Bartuc 06-07-2009 12:58 AM

Hmmm okay give me a few minutes to try to get the other gold :ninja: Didn't know kitties were that much.

Nivvy 06-07-2009 01:07 AM

@ Alexis

Thats why its weird that my partner got hired as a graphic designer xD;; He wasn't trained in that field. Lols.

@ Viv

He is also addicted to games too xD;; Yeah our winters are tragic >: I was telling him, how its freeeezing, but hes like.. blahh it's not like I haven't gone out in the cold before, and i've got a good wetsuit. So i'm like ^^ Grreat! - but thinking inside... screw you... xD!!

Vivian 06-07-2009 01:11 AM

Pfffft that's lame.
I complain about cold days too, but I don't turn on the heat in the winter so my apartment is freezing and I adapt faster than most people. xD
Only reason is because I need my room to be cold and have heavy blankets that feel like they're hugging me.. Which people think is strange..
And then after a while I just get used to my cold apartment and can just sit around without shivering.. Though I never get used to being outside!
Silly Canada..

Nivvy 06-07-2009 01:33 AM

OMG!! I thought I was the only one who did that blanket hug thing xD!! I totally understand what you mean about needing a cold room @[email protected];; Wooow, Canada is chilly from what i've heard though, you must really get used to the cold - not to shiver x)

Our apartment is heated by all the thermal activity under the city, so it is sooo warm. Even the floors are heated, so our room gets quite hot - and we've had to sleep with a fan going during the night, otherwise I overheat >: and its funny, coz my partner always tells me to take the blanket off, but i'm like... Noooo xD!

Vivian 06-07-2009 01:45 AM

Hahaha yes exactly!
Try opening your window a crack and get a down blanket..that feels like god, so I've heard..
Down blankets are so big and heavy that they DO hug you, but they don't get too hot apparently.. But I would probably need a cold room for that anyways, since my body temperature seems to get a lot hotter when I'm sleeping or ready for sleep..which is poopy.

People just don't understand the need to have heavy blankets. xD
I can't sleep with a thin blanket ever.

Nivvy 06-07-2009 02:07 AM

A down blanket?? I've never heard of those before?? I have this big crazy thick feather duvet at the moment, its okay - but it does heat up @[email protected];; I think I will investigate this down blanket. I had a mink blanket but ughh, just wayyy too hot. Eeee yeah! I hate that - getting really hot before wanting to go to sleep, it keeps me awake when that happens - and when i'm finally asleep, I wake up from overheating in my sleep - even when i've got no blankets. Sooo annoying.

Do you know why exactly you need to sleep with a heavy blanket?? I don't feel comfortable without something clinging to me xD;; I just can't sleep, feel too exposed - like i'm an easy target or something. Lmao!

Vivian 06-07-2009 02:24 AM

Ohh! Yeah, a duvet. That's the same thing. :3
Down is baby feathers or something like that. The soft feathers that baby birds have and then they shed them all off and they're ultra warm/soft.
Sometimes I get really hot while in the middle of sleep and practically radiate heat.. I guess not practically, I actually do.
I was told that laying next to me was difficult because I get so hot, but that was when I was younger, so I dunno if I still do.. I sometimes wake up sweating, but I think that's only when the sun is on me.

And I get lonely when I'm sleeping I think.. I would love to sleep in a giant laundry basket and use piles of shirts and stuff for blankets, I would sleep like a baby..
I also feel exposed if I use a thin blanket or no blanket. I always had this fear of ghosts when I'm laying in bed, so I don't like the thought of something being able to touch me so easily.
But I think most of all.. I don't like the feeling of laying there in a wide open space.
I actually think my bed is too big because I'm not feeling surrounded enough. D:
My dad has six large dogs ((The mom is a pure bred border collie and the dad is half black lab, half dalmation)) so these are BIG dogs, and they would all lay with me in my twin sized bed. I couldn't move, but it was the most comfy thing I've ever experienced. xD
I love those dogs.

Nivvy 06-07-2009 02:44 AM

Ahhh okay ^^ The feathers coming out of my duvet from time to time, are very tiny feathers. Hopefully they're baby bird ones xD;; All I know is that i'm not allowed to wash that duvet, because apparently it does something to the oil in the feathers. *shrugs*

Ewww sleeping and sun! I haaate the sun heating you up while you sleep xD;; I like going to sleep, when I know partner will be home from work, in like 15-20 minutes - because I wake up and he's home. But I don't like sleeping when he is here xD;; Its weird. Hmmm... There are these big huuuge cane seats, and they have huge pillows that you lie on, and sink into - sooo comfy I would love to sleep in one of those :) I can't find a piccy of one though to show you @[email protected];;

Yeahhh!! Thats how I feel xD;; Like you don't want to be easily accesible when you sleep. Like it feels as though you have more chance, if you're covered. I never used to like the thought of ghosts either @[email protected];; I still don't, and I wouldn't stick my feet out of the blanket for years, and years - coz I was scared one would pull my toe xD!!! I can't sleep with my feet in the blanket anymore though. Ohhhh your dogs sound lovely :D 6 is a lot to own as well, so all the dogs are siblings besides the parents?? You wouldn't happen to have any photos?

I used to love sleeping with my little dog - she's a wee bit smaller than a lab, but she snores like a person xD!! So when my partner was gone on holiday, i'd let her sleep next to me, just so there was some kinda noise so I wouldn't freak out hahah

Vivian 06-07-2009 03:00 AM

Yeah, I highly doubt they would kill baby birds to get their feathers, as if you look inside an old nest, it's usually COVERED in bird down, like thiiiick, which they shed off themselves. Killing them for it would be a huge waste and people would find out and stop buying them. Not to mention I would go on a huge rampage and.. yeah anyways

Ugh! I hate the sun on me too. But my windows happen to be on the side of the apartment that the sun shines into in the morning.. D: So around 9AM or so I'm always in the direct sunlight for around an hour or so. These are really tall windows, so I can't miss it. ^^;;
Those chairs sound sweeeet! I'd like to lay in one, though I dunno what they are yet. xD
I have a hard time deciding whether I like sleeping with people or not.. I get lonely when I'm not, but feel crowded when I am..

Man!
I've always had that thing with my feet sticking out too! I still can't stick my feet out of the covers for the same childish reason! Haha.. Not to mention my apartment is apparently haunted, so says two different guys who slept here. Luckily it's in a different room where they saw that stuff happening.

'My dogs' are actually my dad's dogs..
There are way too many and I can't handle it.. I tried moving in a few times but it doesn't work.. Way too many dogs..
And I don't actually have any pictures at the moment, they're well hidden and I'm actually in a hurry so I can't look for them. xD
They're sweeties though. They get in mini fights and they have the SCARIEST growls ever! Which they got from their mom, the collie.

Anyways, I shall talk to you later sometime!
I'm off to watch Gran Tarino (sp?) with my mom.
Toodlez!

Nivvy 06-07-2009 03:02 AM

Ciao Viv ^^ Till next time!
Keep those toesies covered xD
*hopes off to crappy essay work*

Alexis Durem 06-07-2009 03:15 AM

back!

wow..my thread lives!

@Nivvy - nice ^^ with this economy, you do whatever job you get. It's fun doing graphic design work though, i imagine.

Also, i think down feathers don't just come from baby birds, adults have them on their underbelly. baby birds just have more. I should know, we have an adult parakeet and he leavs down feathers EVERYWHERE.

@Vivian - The drive in was great! we only saw one movie (we didn't stay for the second, there are always two). We saw wolverine, and it rocked! gambit is by far my favorite of all the x-men, and the movie portrayed him perfectly.

You stay in your car, but there is a concession stand in the center of the lot where you can get food and go to the bathroom and such.
