Dreamweaver: Welcome to Stage Four [FULL]
{H E L L O and welcome to my first ever role play. By this, I do not mean I have never role played before. Rather, this is the first roleplay of my own creation. Therefore, please excuse any mistakes you might find in storyline, grammar, or otherwise.
Please be sure to read everything before posting ^^} http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...rgeBancopy.jpg {D R E A M S are controlled by one being, who weaves them, projects them, and absorbs them as her own. She knows all dreams, sees all dreams but her own, for she has hardly any. There can only be one Dreamweaver at a time, for their duty and essence is complex, and having two would cause the world to fall apart. In addition, Dreamweavers must keep their emotions in check, for they affect all dreams, and all that can escape into reality. Yume, the current Weaver, has been disturbed by powerful emotions; love, even. She tried to keep her emotions repressed, but in the end, they escaped. Dreams escaped into reality, and the world became chaos...} {R u l e s} + Please follow the Menewsha Terms or Service + Keep cursing to a minimum + Be literate. {T H E _ W O R L D seems pretty much normal at first glane. However, there are monsters of every kind hiding in the shadows, especially at night. Many people are tormented by their worst nightmares that the Dreamweaver can no longer contain. Some areas are more nightmare-prone than others, and have been marked with red. Sometimes paint, sometimes not. It is believed that the most dangerous areas are marked by blood alone. Of course, there are "paradise spots", but those are much more difficult to find, because as time goes on, the Dreamweaver's own negative emotions seep into the world, creating more and more chaos than good.} { Y O U are one of the few that knows why the world has fallen into chaos. You were told by Shan, that the only way to fix this mess was to get to the core, where the Dreamweaver sleeps, trapped in her own sleep. Your duty is to find the core, and wake her up, so that she can use her power to restore the dream world and the real world to their proper states. But be careful, the closer you get to the core, the closer you get to disaster. You might just find yourself lost from reality. Your wildest dreams will come alive, and so will your worst nightmares.} |

This role play will proceed in stages. Once I feel that enough has happened in one stage, I will move the role play on to the next stage. Some stages will be long, some will be short. We are currently in stage: T H R E E {W E L C O M E _ T O _ S T A G E _ F O U R.You find yourself heading towards a giant, obnoxious-looking circus tent that looks to be made of gold, no less. You have been traveling for months and your leader, Shan, has taken to being extremely silent, speaking only when she must. Her son has for the most part done the same, but he is much easier to talk to, despite his introverted nature. When you're close enough to the tent you find that inside lies the "Circus of Dreams", with all manner of beautiful and atrocious creatures. Shan's son, the white magician, grows steadily weaker, indicating that there is a lot of black magic at the Circus and the area around it. You enter the Circus right on time. The show is about to begin. Is this the Circus of Dreams, or Nightmares?} {P A S T _ S T A G E: O N E.You have just arrived at a large white house at the directions of a small hooded figure who you know as "Shan". You are waiting for her, and she is waiting for more people to help her with the Journey. As it turns out, the girl who you knew as only a small hooded figure is the owner of the large white house. It is sunrise, and when she removes her cloak as she greets you, you can see her light skin, her dark violet hair, her left lilac eye, and her right eye covered by an eye patch. Last of all, you notice that her kimono is on the wrong way, just as a dead person or a ghost would hear it. You can see now why she was wearing a cloak. She seems much too meek; not really the type of person to start a quest.} {P A S T _ S T A G E : T W O.There are two situations in this stage: 1. You are either one of the original travelers that arrived at Shan's white mansion, and are now standing next to her. You are now walking towards the Core, and only Shan knows the way. While you travel, you will encounter various wanderers trapped in the mountains, confounded by the mix of the real world and the dream world. OR 2. You are a wanderer, lost in the mountains that seem to repeat themselves forever. You are searching for anyone who might know the way out, and you have just seen a flash of light, the same flash of light that brought Shan and the rest of the travelers to these mountains.} {P A S T _ S T A G E : T H R E E.You now find yourself in a town not too far from the forest you have come through from. The town does not seem to be stuck in any particular period in time, but it is certainly not modern. The buildings are still made of wood, the roads are still just dirt. Because the town is near a forest there is plenty to eat, and water is easy enough to find. The only problem seems to be the people. Some people are fine. Some people have missing faces so that you are staring into nothing. Some are floating body parts. And some just want to steal what you have without a second thought. There are no rich people here, except for those who come and go. These people may only be a dream, but they have an ambition that is quite real. Keep an eye on your possessions, traveler. You might find yourself with much less than you originally came with. More is yet to come...} |

These are all characters that are controlled by me. There will be a few, some in the beginning, others will come in as the stages progress. Character Name:Shan Sex/Gender:Female Appearance:PIC Shan looks about 14 or 15, but is actually much older. Her dark violet hair goes down to her mid-thigh, and she has long bangs that will occasionally cover top of her eye patch on the right. She usually wears Kimonos, always the "wrong" way, as a ghost or the dead would wear it. Her meek and timid nature can occasionally lead her to appear even smaller than five feet, which is her actual hight. Weapons/Powers/Abilities:Shan wears a necklace that can transform into a very large scythe, but prefers to use it only in the most dire of situations. As such, she uses her lighting and thunder powers more often, with the help of two fans she carries in her obi. Background:Shan has known the Dreamweaver for a long time, and they have become good friends. Now that the Dreamweaver finds herself in trouble, Shan feels a strong need to help her wake up, and restore the world to it's pre-chaotic state. Character Name:Yuki Sex/Gender:Male Appearance: Yuki is but a small hooded figure, dressed in all white clothes. Under his white cloak, white boots and pants are visible. Peeking from the cloak occasionally, are his long-sleeved shirt and gloves. And sometimes, his dark violet hair is visible. Weapons/Powers/Abilities:Yuki is a white magician, and can perform various tasks including healing and manipulating objects. Because he is a child, he is limited in long fights. His powers are channeled through a white flute, which he carries wherever he goes. Background:Yuki is the son of Shan. He is very introverted and has difficulty warming up to people unless his mother is around. His father has been missing from his life since he was born for reasons he understands. Occasionally, he spends a day with his father. Although he is shy, Yuki is intelligent and mature for his age. Character Name:Yume Sex/Gender:Female Appearance:PIC Being a type of angel, Yume looks 19, when she is actually over 20,000 years old. She has long black flowing hair, and ice blue eyes. Under those blue eyes, are two markings, symbols of the Dreamweavers. Her dress is silver and blue, colors of the night sky. Weapons/Powers/Abilities:Yume has the power to see and control dreams, as well as the ability to manipulate what can escape into reality. She channels her powers through a large dream-cathcer. Background:When she was young, Yume went through some love trouble, and her feelings torment her still. She is the first Dreanmweaver to ever wake up, and as such, is the first one to fall in love. The elders did not know that it would cause as much trouble as it has. |

Shan waited at the doorstep of her home, staring at the gate; the gate that Yume had run out of before this chaos began. She was not expecting anyone to run out this time, however. Rather, she was expecting someone to come in through them. They were unlocked for those individuals who would, if they wished, show up to help her on her journey. She had tried on her own once, but her mind had gotten the better of her. She was able to escape, but her mind had taken quite some time to heal.
Kira stepped through the gate, seeing a hooded figure there, probably waiting for everyone, whoever everyone was. She clutched the hilt of her sword, but didn't take it out of the sheath. I suppose I'm the first one here. She removed her hood, walking closer to the hooded girl.
Shan watched as the first person walked through the gate and towards her. The newcomer seemed ready to fight; Shan kept her gaze on the sword for a few moments. Then she bowed, greeting Kira. "Hello. I am grateful that you came," she said in her soft voice. "It really means a lot to me, and to many other people, I am sure. If we succeed that is..." Her voice trailed off for a bit as she remembered her own unpleasant experience when she neared the core.
Kira smiled warmly, but her eyes remained emotionless. "I hope we do succeed, the whole freaking world depends on it." If only the Dreamweaver was asexual, then our problems would be solved. She sighed, sitting on the step, waiting for others to come along.
Shan sat down next to Kira. "Too true," she said with a sigh. "She's-".She stopped herself for a few seconds. "Yume has had a lot of trouble because of who she is. She isn't bad. It's just that her feelings affect the world in a way that was not foreseen." A grim smile played on her face. "Imagine not being allowed to feel because of who you are."
Kira nodded in understanding. "It truly is a big burden. I suppose that I could understand why she felt the way she did." She sighed thought about it. If she was a dreamweaver there would be a lot of duty versus heart, something that she had trouble with from time to time. She didn't say anything to Shan's last comment, but instead silently waited for more people to arrive.
Sarai waked toward the pale white mansion ahead. The sun that sone upon ot made it almost blinding. "Why am I here again' she asked herself a bit irritated. 'To save the world' she reminded herself as she walked toward the two figures already talking, she recognizing the one that had told her about all this. 'So i'm not the only one she told' she thought. "Hello" she didn't really wanted to say to much, she certainly wasnt sure if she could trust them. She wore her cloak high, so it covered half her face. The cloak was put aside on her back behind her quiver so she could easily reach the arrows incase needed. Those who knew her she only did that when she though she might need to fight someone.
The beige dress rustled behind her as the wind swep through, pulling on the ringlets that were bound high upon her head. Her orange eyes were fixed on the new comer, since she somewhat trusted Shan |
As another girl walked up to the manor, Kira looked up, taking in her details. "Hey new person." She waved to the girl and looked at her quiver. So she too had come to help save the world. At least it wouldn't be a one person effort now.
I do hope they don't slice each other up, although I don't blame them for being on edge. Shan stood up to greet Sarai; her bow accompanied by a soft "Hello". She looked from one of the girls to the other. "Do not worry, you will not be harmed. I'll make sure of that."
Sarai returned the bown than turned toward the other girl. "My name is Sarai and thus you will adress me" she said in a voice full of distrust and a bit of coldness. She then turned her attention toward Shan again. "I am not worried about that, i can defend myself and the world is the only thing that matters at the moment" she had always lived one dge, it was the only way she had succeded to stay alive for this long. with all the shadows, and people who wanted her dead rather than alive, she had learned to be distrusting and distant

The white house seemed eerie against the dark blue sky. It was a beautiful day, but everything beautiful hid something dark and dangerous. The wind blew slightly, and strands of her raven colored hair blew across her cheeks. She blinked once, her thumb was hooked on the strap that was across her chest, at the other end was a thick book, with yellow thick pages. She ran her finger lightly down the leather bound side, the ridges familiar.
Ani took her first steps towards the building and its looming gates. She noticed the other girls there, but the person she paid her respect to was the hooded female. Ani bent her head lowly, "Lovely to meet you again Shan." She said is a warm voice lifting her head. Her hands were clasped together in front of her, her feet set apart and connecting with the loving earth below her. |
"Very well "Sarai" I'll addresses you as such." Kira felt like rolling her eyes at the girl's cold-hearted attitude. She hoped that not every person would be this rigid. She looked back at Shan with a smile. "Don't worry about me, I've done enough to ensure my safety." She took of her gloves, putting them in her pocket and sliding her hands back into a more relaxed position. Another girl had come. it seemed that she was the youngest there, at least the one dressed in the most modern clothing, but that didn't matter. She waved off the the new girl. "Hey, person who has yet to introduce herself."
Ani turned, she bowed her head slightly, but not as deep as she had done for Shan. "Ani May Raimes." She replied, outstretching her hand for a shake. "And you are?"
"Kira here at your service." Kira shook Ani's hand firmly before letting go. She turned to Sarai with a warmer look this time. "So, you want to save the world? I suppose we all have that in common. Personally I'd just like to see that the Dreamweaver doesn't herself, to anything."
Sarai looked at the stranger. "My name's Sarai, good to meet you" she nodded befor turning toward Kira. "I'mmost interested in the Dreamweaver herself than this world. The world was going downward, nomatter what she did, or we do for that matter, there is no saving this mess. This is more for the benefir of the Weaver, for the world and it's people I couldn't care less" she said, tgough her voice was a littel less cold, like a reaction to Kira's smile, thgouh her face stayed blank.
Shan nodded in Ani's direction. "I thank you deeply for coming," she said briefly, and then merely observed the three. The uneasy interactions were putting her on edge. She didn't expect them to be the first of friends, certainly. They didn't even know each other. But she hoped that they would trust each other enough to go on a journey in which they would all have to cooperate, or else.
Ani listened to Sarai's word before speaking, "The earth has done nothing wrong to deserve human kinds massacre." She said looking at her, "As an earth mage, I honor all living creatures. Despite what they have done to each other, every civilization is worth a chance at being saved. The Dreamweaver plays an essential role in giving humans a second chance. What they decide to do with it, is up to them. I am merely here to save the Earth from further destruction." She nodded affirmatively before turning back to Shan. "Milady, when do we journey to our next destination?"
Shan kept looking forward. "I don't like to be vague, but all I can tell you is that we will be setting off soon. I'm waiting for anyone else who might decide to show up. If I see that no one else is coming, there is something I must tell you before we leave."
