Micheal didnt even hear a word that the child said, not interested in the tiny voice at all. He however did reply to the one without legs, "It found you, but you choose to interfere without consent. Do you relize how dangerous that it? Does your angel guardian always rush you into conditions that even she should know isnt complying with ethics? Hot headed piece of. ." He let his voice trail off and He went right on speaking through him, "Too much silence in the town of Noslin." He said to Ani, looking past her. "The warlords are in the midst of destroying each others empire, but their nightmares and daydreams are getting in the way of what should be a fair war. I came to find this sickening creature to restore order in some way." He said. That was one thing he was, fair. The war he was involved with was a very fair one, with rules and precautions before the fight ever began. He wanted it to stay that way, but ended up killing many that were breaking the rules and hence taking advantage of someone in a dream/nightmare state.
"I made a pact with my warlord that I will help him restore order by waking this creature that controls the dream and nightmare realm." His voice had dropped an octave, not speaking for any one elses ears by Ani's. If someone dared to interject, god help them. He was in a pissy mood about being rescued, when he didnt want it and now he was surrounded by dead weight. Ani stared at a spot in his chest. He was too tall to stay looking up at. She nodded, understanding what his purpose was. |
Yuki felt helpless. Had it been a child ignoring him, it would be completely different. His dismay came from another source. It was at this very moment that Yuki realized, grown-ups could be idiots too. Stubborn, ignorant, idiots. It was something for a teenager to notice, but the circumstances made Yuki realize this before he should have. He looked towards the rain. His mother was no longer visible, but she was probably still close.

The whole time all this drama had been going on. Shira had been on the sidelines watching...Normally Shira was the kind of girl who was the first to act but the circumstances prevented her from doing so... after all she had only just met these people and they seemed to be more informed about all that was going on so for the time being she just hung out and watched... However next time would be different.. shira really loved to fight, spar, battle or any one of the three... She was the badass kind of girl you only seen in some Anime or something. When she's with her friends she's hyper, bubbly and rally outgoing just like the way she acted earlier but provoke her or harass her friends and she could kick you butt with a toothpick if need be...
Shira looked over at yuki and noticed that he wasn't looking to happy. She walked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder and smiled.. " You okay kid?" she asked |
Kira chose not to say anything yet, trying to get the whole of the story processed in her mind. The guy Shan saved was pretty ungrateful considering circumstances, though maybe it was because of that "warlord" of his. She observed him, slightly surprised he could be so sour towards the Dreamweaver.
|
Yuki looked up at Shira and nodded. "I'm alright," he replied. "I'm just thinking about a few things." He wanted the man to go away. Yuki was not the type to think that someone was not worth saving, but he acknowledged the fact that he did not want the man near any of them. He didn't seem to enjoy their company in the least, anyway.
|
Shira nodded and smiled softly.. " i understand..." she than thought about their new less than friendly guest " I admit he isn't the kind of guy i would want to meet in a back alleyway or anything but i also admit that after seeing your fear come to life would make even a sweet guy like you alittle moody... but that doesn't give him the excuse to do what he did to you, i'm just saying we shouldn't judge him right away..." Shira stated. As she tried to comfort yuki.
|
"I suppose so," Yuki said, unsure of what the right answer would be. Usually, when he needed to relax, he would play his flute. This time around, he wasn't so sure that the mean-mannered stranger would take kindly to any sort of noise. He looked over at Phineas, who seemed to be meditating on troubles of his own.
|
Phineas had been following an uncomfortable thread of thought. It had to do with dreams and reality, blood and secrets. He traced the floor of the shelter with his finger, restless.
Sensing that Yuki had focused some attention on him, he looked up and smiled faintly. "Do you have good dreams, Yuki? Will they come real, or is it only bad ones that come real?" He struggled with a complex thought and added, "I do not want my dreams to find us. And I do not want to know what WOULD make HIM" he motioned at Michael, "ask for help." |
Yuki pondered for a moment, then replied, "I think my dreams are nice enough. Better than most people's from what I've seen. And I think.. I think good dreams come true, too." He looked at Phineas thoughtfully. "Do you have good dreams?"
|
"Yes." Phineas replied, a bit too quickly. "I hope good ones are come real soon."
((sorry it's short. gotta go catch my bus home... I'm going to drop in on our department party real fast... the theme is Moustache Ball. Which is just... AWESOME. Everyone has moustaches on!)) |
[[OMG That's awesome! >w< I hope I can go to one of those some day XD
you totally reminded me of this >> CLICK~ Andrew is so funny XD]] Yuki was slightly startled by such a quick answer. "Oh" was all he could muster at first. "Good dreams would be nice now, wouldn't they?" Yuki was curious about each person's idea of a good dream. Each person had their own way of thinking about happiness. His own dream was simple and complicated at the same time. As time went by, he wondered why his mother was still outside, and what had made her loose her temper like that. Even when she was angry, she didn't show it the way she had. |
(( gotta go do the dishes be back afterwards ^^ ))

Micheal nodded, "I take it Ill see you there." He said looking at Ani. "Once again, on the same side. I look forward to the day we arent. You will be a worthy adversary." He said lower. His voice was silky smooth and the type youd hear from some one who would make all your dreams come true. He bowed slightly before briskly walking off into the direction behind Ani. His skin was clean of all blood, even his clothes. The water fell pitter patter on his cowboy fashioned leather hat, a drop never touching his face. Micheal rolled up the sleeve of his coat to look at the henna that was drawn on his arm to look like a map. It was what he had concocted on his own through various info he had collected from people who owned him. He was at the hot springs area, the path was somewhere along here and he set out to find it.
Ani didnt look at him, her eyes focused on a rock on the floor. She simply smiled at his statement. "I look forward to it." She said as he walked away, unsure if he heard it. She was immune to his charm, his effect because she had to earth spirit within her. But the other girls, she looked around the cave, she didnt think might be so lucky. Ani let out a soft breath that she didnt realize she was holding. She didnt look at anyone in particular as she said, "I apologize on behalf of Micheals behavior." |
"It was not your fault, miss," Yuki stated. "What he said does not reflect upon you at all." He watched as Micheall left. He didn't understand the relief he would feel until he actually felt it. He was gone, quicker than he had come.
As Yuki leaned against the wall, Shan came in. She had used the rain to wash herself completely and had washed her clothes as well. Then, she had taken refuge and dried her clothes with as little magic as possible. When she came back, her wings were her umbrella. She slipped into the clothes she had left behind since the night before. Her stockings, her modified kimono, and lastly, her obi. She tied it behind her with much ease, although she had to tie the back lower than usual, to make room for her wings. |
((I've been spelling Micheal incorrectly all this time! :o I suck at that name, i can NEVER spell ir right!!!))
Phineas scoffed at this. Dragon etiquette made it clear that one could only be forgiven if he'd asked forgiveness himself. Micheal was still in the hot pot, no matter how many people asked forgiveness on his part. Phineas wasn't going to apologize for trying to wake him with a needle until he apologized making Shan rescue him and then being such a prat about it and then holding Phineas hostage when he hadn't had a chance to do anything to him yet. Speaking of which... He was also starting to worry about Shan's absence. He turned to Yuki, who he could begin to think of as a brother, although few words had passed between them thus far. "We should go find her, no?" he asked, readying his hands to get up and go out into the rain. But then Shan came in and he settled back down, watching her closely. |
[[Me too.. Shame D8;]]
"We should get going," Shan said flatly as she picked up her fans. It probably wasn't the best idea to contradict her in any way, at least, not at that very moment. They would no longer have to climb upward, as the door was close by, but it would still take time to get there. Yuki pushed himself off the wall. The sooner they left, the better. Hopefully his mother's mood would improve. He could tell she was still very unhappy. |
Phineas nodded and "stood up". He was definitely ready to move on from this place. There were too many memories gathered around here; his being found, the new legs, their disappearance, the bath, the healing, the blood rain... it had been a lot to happen in one day.
|
As he had concealed himself and walked closer to Micheal ((I spelled that wrong too the entire time!!!)) he caught parts of what he was saying to Ani. Just what kind of relationship did those two have? Ari dispelled the illusion when the "Angel of Death" finally departed and stared after him for some times. What a peculiar man. The conversation between the two younger boys echoed his thoughts - if Nightmares had the ability to manifest themselves, then should not good dreams have the same ability as well?
There was also something else that he learned about Nightmares with this encounter - they were limited only by one's imagination. The scope of the nightmare was almost limitless. "Are you going to be walking the same path then, as that man?" He asked as Shan suggested for them to start moving. "It could be just me... but I'd rather avoid running into him again." |
Kira sighed inwardly, watching Micheal leave. She had heard bits of Ani's history about him, particularly the Death Angel part. She felt like rolling her eyes at the ungrateful boy as she picked the crusted blood off of her cloak, thankful that it was black not white. When she was finished she looked at Shan feeling her sour mood. She then turned to Ani nodding. "Like Yuki said, his behavior has nothing to do with you." Behavior as an asshat. She thought about those good dreams, debating what her's were. Hopefully they would manifest themselves.

((I got home and CRASHED SO HARD. Sigh.))
|
[[I see Elektra~ I'll try not to post too much. I'm supposed to be doing HW anyway 8D;
*pats Steffox* >w<; ]] "We will be walking a different path," Shan said, as blankly as she could. "I saw the way he went, so we will go the other. They're about the same length so there's a danger of bumping into him, but if we wait for him to leave, we'll loose a lot of time." Her gaze was directed outside. "Plus, I don't want him too far ahead of us if I can help it. I don't want him near her. " |
Ani fussed over a non existence spot on her dress. "Its not really his fault." She murmured to herself before saying, "He is my acquaintance, Hence the apology." It was her natural instinct to defend people, but she knew that they had him pegged wrong. They knew nothing about him to assume what kind of person he was. She shook her head involuntary. "We will have to meet him somewhere along the middle. I would rather him here when we are fighting worse off creatures." She replied looking at them. Sure he didnt exactly make the first right impression, which she was sure would of happened if he met them on different circumstances. But for Micheal waking up in the place he did not drop was not good. Ani silently cursed herself for not noticing the dang rain earlier again. Alot would of been avoided in she had. Although she couldnt help wondering how Micheal knew Shan. She had seen the face he had when his eyes rested on hers.
Micheal face was void of anything, as the rain had stopped and the sun slowly dried his coat. He looked up at the sun. He had indeed heard what the child said, just cause he ignored him, does not mean he wasnt listening. And he should of told him that many have nightmares more than daydreams, and those will always surface first, therefore in this dream world, dreams will indulge those who havent a nightmare. The path had cleared before him as he walked through a clearing. He looked at the map again before looking ahead at the fork, the left one. He was looking for sort of door he believed, his gray eyes were keen on his surroundings. |
Shira followed closely behind the group as they continued on their journey. Really, Shira had no idea where they were headed but she didn't really care either... She just figured that came with the whole being a wanderer package. Shira rested her hands closely behind her head and listened as the group discussed Michael.. Everybody else seemed to be worried about running into him again, she could see why Yuki would be worried and why Shan would be worried seeing as though Yuki was her child. And she guessed the others could be worried as well because Yuki was their friend but Shira really had no problem with running into michael again. Just soo long as he doesn't pull any more stupid stunts..."
" heh, don't worry if michael messes with either of us again... i can stay behind and take care of him while you guys go on ahead....i'll just cathc up with you afterwards.." Shira said rather confindently. She had a proud smile on her face. |
