Bartuc 11-16-2008 01:12 AM

Well, the gender tosses me out of that question. XD

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 01:14 AM

LoL. Every time someone tells me that book series is amazing I shed a tear for the diminishing future of my generation. :stare:

Azntwins 11-16-2008 01:14 AM

i dislike the book too! xDD

-high-fives Luenola-

Bartuc 11-16-2008 01:15 AM

lol Books are an awesome imagination escape. They can also be useful in school. Though, I think people need to get out more then just sit around and read books all day. Books are the old technology,

gotta go be back later.

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 01:16 AM

*high-fives Azntwins back* XDD

Not those books, Bartuc, trust me. They are bad for the female psyche in both their portrayal of the ideal female (read: Mary Sue who wants to spend eternity with a guy within -like- a week? of their meeting) and their depiction of what they call true love (read: obsessive stalkerish perfect vampire with mood swings for no reason faster than you can say PMS who sparkles in the sun and makes girls' hearts literally stop by merely kissing their foreheads). =__=

Azntwins 11-16-2008 01:19 AM

i have a weird excuse though. o_o

i started reading the first book it before it got super popular, and stopped half way. D8
then i started reading again....
and i saw the characters that was gonna be in the movie and almost throw up. xDD
it was freaky as hell! D8
now i don't touch the books at all. >_>
-shuns them-

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 01:23 AM

I read the first book and spent the entire time laughing at just how bad it was. I actually finished it, to my (dis)credit, because I'm just that much of a masochist, but I seriously cannot imagine how everyone can possibly think it's amazing. =__=

It reads like bad fanfiction, only you're paying for it.

Cami 11-16-2008 01:25 AM

I actually really like the second book (New Moon). I didn't like any of the other books, but I really do like the second one.

Of course, we manage to go almost the entirety of the second book without Edward. It's Heaven. /doesn't like Edward/

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 01:31 AM

LoL. That might help, since I suppose it means you don't have Bella fainting at the very scent of his amazing BREATH all the time. :stare:

Azntwins 11-16-2008 01:32 AM

yessss... the second one was the best one. D8
it's more REAL then the other books.

edit:
@Luenola
SUPER COOL MINTS! 8D

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 01:36 AM

I'll admit I was so horrified by the first book I didn't dare touch the second or anything that followed. XD"

Yeah, they should make that one of the Twilight merchandise: "Cullen Mints" :sarcasm:

Azntwins 11-16-2008 01:38 AM

on the label they should write:"good till your dead" xDD

read the second book. o 3o bella is "dumped"
i think....
i can't remember. xDD

Cami 11-16-2008 01:43 AM

Aznty: Definitely. And Jacob is such a great character. His story is so much more interesting than all the vampire romance junk.

And yes, she is supposedly dumped. Being near vampires is just too dangerous for her. /swoon/

Luenola: I probably wouldn't have except I was reading them for a Publicity project. XD I barely made it through the first book. Though, I did think the ending of the first book was much better than the first four fifths of it.

Azntwins 11-16-2008 01:46 AM

jacob is better then edward. The end. xD
edward is a sad emo vamp.
awwwwwww... it's soo fake.
it's a pity-me-book.

I wouldnt say you are overpaying. I have sold a couple other sets for 7k but *shrugs* Your gold and opinion ^__^ Good luck in your endevours.

Well i had a think about it, and i should really be saving for my Q.Crown. Not to mention i hardly have time to play games nowadays. So yeah i'll give it a miss for now, but thank you very much for all your help i really appreciate it heaps :glomp:

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 02:06 AM

Though when you think about it, I can't imagine why he's emo-ing so much when he's so perfect. I mean... his hair, his eyes, his skin, his voice, his breath...it's all so perfect that girls swoon. So err, Edward, why are you in high school and emo-ing again? I mean, life seems pretty good to you, and if you don't like living forever, there's always the option called "go die," you know?

Roachi 11-16-2008 02:27 AM

Hello Luenola =]
Are you talking about Twilight? xDD Aww i love twilight - it was a good read! Though you'd be a damn fool to actually think that love exists like that.

Cami 11-16-2008 02:33 AM

I do think it has a fun concept of love. You don't read many books these days with that idea of love being so overpowering. Maybe I'm just not into romance enough, but I just find it boring. <<,,

and, we're in love.

and now we're celebrating our love!

And our love is oh so great.

And now we're in love doing this!

And now we're in love doing that!

and a little bit of danger but let's brush past that

Love!

I mean, the final book had so much potential. I would have loved to see Jacob and his new pack have to fight against the old pack. Not to mention the gathering of vampires and the big battle with those in charge. But none of it happened. All possible conflicts miraculously solved themselves with no need for any actual fights. Go love!

xTybaltx 11-16-2008 02:54 AM

Can I Buy a November set?

And Can I reserve one as well?

Hina 11-16-2008 04:03 AM

Oh, ew, twilight. <_<;
the movie is going to suck.

bartuc, do you think you could put together an offer on a queens crown without so much pure? =P
btw, may I purchase the last of your november sets? :)

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 05:24 AM

 I actually don't think the movie can be worse than the book, but that would totally be jinxing it. XD"

Cami 11-16-2008 05:28 AM

I think it'll make a better movie than a book. XD When I was reading the book, I thought, "Man, I actually think this would be better if it were a movie."

Luenola Marxiel 11-16-2008 05:36 AM

Well, the reason I think the movie can't possibly be worse is because a major reason I didn't like the book was the way it was written. So I figured that if you took the writing out of it, it really couldn't be any worse than it was before. =3

Iro 11-16-2008 05:40 AM

May I have 3 November CI sets, please?
That would be 3k in total, Bartuc? ^^

`Kitami 11-16-2008 05:49 AM

-floats in-

Lol I loved Twilight, yet I hated it. O.o
Never get tired of griping about it....yet I read it like it had some kind of spell on me and I bought all 4 of the books. x_x

Going to see the movie too. xD -shot-
I'll probably bitch about it like I do the books.
