Sorry but I just had lunch, a really unhealthy lunch, and I need to rant about it!
Okay, this is mostly for Australians, since I'm not sure about the fast food meals over in America. Sorry. x3 Anyhow, we had Hungry Jack's (Burger King for the US if I remember correclty) and the burgers are really nice. Perfectly sized, all the salad and dressing put in properly. A few weeks back I had McDonalds.The burger was about half the size of the HJ's one and everything was sloppy and stale. D: It was disgusting! My question is; why are McDonald's standards appearing to be so much lower then that of their rival HJ's/Burger King? |

My guess would be that McDonald's Is trying to spend less money on their stuff {{Making the stuff taste/appear worse}}, because they are greedy...
But I wouldn't really know because I'm vegetarian and I Haven't had McDonald's in years... |

But still, shouldn't they be concerned about it? I chucked the meal out after taking one bite of the soggy burger. -shudder- Not gonna be going back there any time soon. -.- |
I doubt that they would be concerned at all! All they care about are their golden toilets! Why should they even care if they are still making millions? I mean, for them if they are making money, then so what if their burger is a piece of crap?
God I hate McDonalds. Acres and acres of rain forests are being destroyed just so they can grow cattle on the land for their burgers! Disgusts me. |

I'm sure the burger was supposed to be good. It was probably just prepared badly by the people working there. That seems to be a problem at many restaurants.

I don't know, but McDonalds was started before Burger King. Then Burger King copied off of McDonalds. I agree though, Burger King french fries taste better then McDonald ones. Even if I don't like both of them, I still like the french fries =).

Things like that (fast foods and sodas, mostly) are a learned taste, actually.
When you're a kid, all the commercials make it seem great. So being a gullible little kid, you think it IS great. So you go get it, and because you think it's great, it tastes great. And then you just become used to the taste, and you still hold that memory of what you THINK it tastes like in your mind, so it's truly what you taste. I know this all sounds like some anti-McDonalds paranoid statement, but this REALLY IS true. If you don't believe me, stop drinking all sodas for about a month or two. After that, drink a cola. Not a sprite, not a mountain dew, not Dr. Pepper - A cola. Coke or pepsi or a knockoff. It will taste horrible. Like fizzy, metallic water. |
Maybe the workers don't care to put a little etra time into making their food look and taste better.
Thouhg, sometimes I do like to eat McDonald's cheeseburgers, but not too often. If I go there, Iget one of their premium chicken sandwiches. Oh, and McDonalds should spend more time making their french fries less soggy. Burger King's ones are straight and crispy, while McDonalds ones are limp and mushy. I still eat them though, but Burger King's ones are better. |
Not all McD's are like that. It just depends on the place itself. I've seen gross opposites of any food chain depending on where you go (which shouldnt happen) Its just more of whos working there or managing that store/district etc that affects how stuff comes out. @[email protected] sucks doesnt it? im from New Hampshire, BK down there is better...the BK here in Alberta Canada at least the couple i have been to in Edmonton have HORRIBLE service...food is ok but they F everything up i only had my order right like once, makes me so mad D:
